SEAL "Scout" Raider

Honoring our SEALs

Newport News, VA, United States

The story behind the SEAL "Scout" Raider build... The United States Navy SEALs evolved from the Underwater Demolition Teams (UDTs), Scouts and Raiders. The UDTS, Scouts, Raiders, and the Indian Scout were all very active participants in World War II. With that understood, modern day SEALs share common lineage with the modern Scout. This Scout is a very special donation to the UDT/SEAL Association, following this "Build a Legend" competition it will be donated in its entirety to this exceptionally high performing Veteran Service Organization (a 501(c)19 non-profit) where just about every penny raised directly supports SEALs and their families. The racing number 104 represents the high price the SEAL community has paid fighting the War on Terrorism. 104 SEALs have given their lives fighting this war and the Gold Stars that flank this statement represent the Gold Star families that these fallen have left behind. This SEAL Scout isn't looking to pick a fight, but, stands ready if needed. Leaned-out, stripped down, and tuned to tear-up the asphalt and blow away any obstacles in the way with its swing arm mounted Demolition Kit. Just like our SEAL Warriors! Participants/Donors: Maria Valenza-Maulbeck/Ed Maulbeck (Retired SEAL) - 2016 Indian Scout donation, Ed is also the lead designer and a builder Michelle Mattioli/Todd Sweigart - Donated all the parts/paint, Todd also had a hand in the design... Mike Maddox (MiCar Collision) - Donated paint labor, and his lead artist Petty Officer 2nd Class Brice Randall is responsible for all the artwork.
