2019 Indian Scout Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 370.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best I've owned... great styling, no mistaking it for anything else but an Indian... great ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Bike Ever, And IT IS AWESOME! I never envisioned myself owning a motorcycle. I took the MSF course on a whim. Loved the experience and it brought me to Indian. I bought my Scout Sixth and off I went. Absolutely love riding this thing. I get stopped at least 3 times a week, not by cops, but by people who are so impressed with the bike. Same thing every time. "Is that an Indian?", "You paid how much?", "Unbelievable! Beautiful bike, I might go get one now." Such an awesome experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun Ride Purchased the bike November 2015. Great looking bike, fun to ride. All with the Indian brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raw! This is my 1st bike and I believe it to be a well balanced, fun, fast and overall solid motorcycle. The height of the seat was perfect for my size (5'7") and I couldn't ask for a more comfortable ride. Like most new bikes, you will want to upgrade some of the standard features. I added custom pipes, floor boards, LED headlamp and soon will replace the grips. Thank you Indian for giving me a great bike to ride along side my husbands Victory!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great attempt at some of the old with the new I purchased my 2016 about 2 months ago after trading in a Victory Vegas. I was looking for a smaller, quicker, more fun bike with all of the advances of the new Polaris ownership and some of the old nostalgia from the Indian heritage. excellent small and nimble bike that performs well for the 1000cc. I installed aftermarket exhaust (crushers) and the bike is loads more fun and looks like it behaves; loud and aggressive with no regrets.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I didn’t expect it to be this good of a bike! I went on a test ride and was really surprised how good the bike was!! It had very good driving matters, excellence acceleration, low vibration- I’d say smooth for a V twin and it’s the Scout 60 their “starter bike”. I was impressed!! The only thing that was unusual is the front end got a little light at the higher speeds which didn’t give full confidence! I miss the techometer as you can’t see the digital tech going into the sun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simply the best thing I ever did for myself I decided at the age of 55 I want to break out of routine and live. Got my permit, took the riders course, got license and bought this bike all in 3 weeks, 7/13 /16 to be exact. Love the bike , great size for me, lots of power, great balance and I get a lot of compliments, best of all, the people at Indian, best people to work with , they are all heart and soul and lets face it, Indian is not just a great bike, it is art on wheels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick and Nimble! I just bought my Indian Scout Sixty this fall, and my only complaint is that winter's first snow came too soon for me to ride as much as I would like to before waiting for the spring thaw. After spending the last 7 years riding exclusively Harley's, I find the Scout to surpass anything I experienced before. The bike's pick-up, maneuverability, and size are perfect for me. At 5'-3", the 25" stand over was the perfect solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike! I've had my bike for about two months now and I absolutely love it. I've always wanted an Indian and was finally able to get one. The ride is amazing and I take it everywhere I can and get compliments on this beauty everywhere I go. The downside to me were the pipes since they are so quiet. I know sound is a personal preference but the stock pipes left a lot to be desired. Anyway, this is an excellent bike for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bike for me! I'm 48 years old and this is my first motorcycle. Being new to riding, I wanted a bike that is easy to ride, but not so feable that I'd want to buy a new bike after a month. Feels like this bike has plenty of power, at least for what I want to do. For the past few days, I've just been riding around my neighborhood and an slowly expanding my travels. I am having so much fun! When I'm not riding, I'm wishing I was riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing motorcycle! I am beyond happy with this motorcycle. The handling, cornering and gear shifting is incredibly smooth. Comfortable seat position and the handlebar reach is natural. The fender rounds out the sharp look and natural lines of the bike. This is a powerful bike without being intimidating with responsive breaking system and easy throttling. Note: I ended up ordering the reduced reach kit for the break and gear shifter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an amazing ride I currently ride a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A. It's a great bike, but can be a rough ride at high speeds and it also is very top heavy. I didn't realize just how top heavy my bike is until I got on the Scout. Having the engine placement being so different and, I think, lower and more centered, it makes the bike super easy to handle. Turning and curves was also sooo much better; the bike was almost intuitive - whatever I thought about doing - turning, etc - the bike seemed to take my lead and just took over. The ride was so much more enjoyable, more comfortable. My front tire is a very thin tire - I didn't realize how much of a difference just a wider tire could make. The bike was easy to shift, also. It had a nice pickup from a low speed. The only thing I'd like more is a louder sound; it doesn't have to be a massively loud, but I'd feel more visible if I could be heard better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first bike and I love it Bike fits like a glove and I love the styling. I get complimented all the time on how sweet the bike looks. I was intimidated by the size of the engine at first, since it was my first bike, but the power is easily managed. Indian offered a great financing deal, and offered lots of extras for being a veteran. They also followed up with a couple of free accessories later just to say your welcome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I enjoy riding my scout 60. It's a great ride. It's been almost 40 yrs. since I owned a cycle and my scout 60 makes me feel like I'm in my 20's again. The bike is sturdy and reliable and I find that if there may be a problem I have the swell and professional guys in the service department at Smokey Mountain Steel Horses that are more than willing to help. Mark is a very professional salesman with a friendly slant to all his clients.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! My Scout is my second bike. I learned and practiced on my 2009 Honda Rebel 250 and the differences are amazing! I feel much more confident and safe on my Scout than I ever did on the Rebel. So easy to ride, love that it sits nice and low, balance is amazing. Just a beautiful bike over all. I sat on many bikes before deciding on the Scout but nothing felt as good as the Scout did.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not geared for hilly terrain Live in north central WV and wouldn’t buy this bike. Riding this bike up mountains would require the rider to spend more time shifting from 4th to 6th and back again. Also disappointed with the lack of power it had as compared to the standard Scout. This bike would probably be good for mostly flat terrain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surperb motorcycle and amazing value Purchased in early April as my first ever cruising bike. Went for a test ride after reading the reviews online, and I was sold. Had ridden a friends HD years ago and swore I would never own a cruiser, but this bike was just fantastic in every respect. I was shocked at the combination of power, handling, and ride quality at this price point. My wife is considering getting one now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nod to the past, a path to the future.... I mentioned that the Indian Scout 60 was comfortable to sit on & fit me when I sat on one at the grand opening of RedHills in September 2017. Then I was gifted with it for Christmas.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great First American Bike! I bought this a couple of months ago and I am very happy with it. The only critique I would make is that the seat is a little uncomfortable. The tag plate fell off once and I had to replace it. I wish there was better way of screwing it to the tail fender. The light reflectors that were given were not aligned properly. For these reasons I give an average for Fit and Finish

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the bike, BUT So I purchased my bike on the last day of 2019. It was actually my very first bike purchase and I had done my homework. I was wanting to go Harley at first but realized it was going to be out of the budget, so when I came across the Indian I realized that this was going to be the route to go, especially since I heard they had a good reputation. Most of the deal was done over the phone and texts with my sales rep. He serviced me well and answered all my questions. Once they told me I was approved I went to the store to pick it up and I fell in love instantly. The bike rides great, even beyond my expectations. I do know that I was paying more then I should and I felt like they could have given me a better deal, but I was so happy with the bike that I was alright with paying more. I did have a pleasant surprise when they gave me a $500 dollar credit when they found out that I was a veteran. So with that credit I ended up getting a passenger seat, helmet and gloves. However, when I was shopping for these accessories, I started noticing that their gear was incredibly overpriced, almost ridiculously over priced, but again, I didn’t complain because they gave me the credit. The one thing that annoyed me though was that the rep had told me that my first tune up and oil change at 500 miles was FREE. When I hit those miles, I called service to set it up and they wanted to charge me almost $400 bucks. Needless to say I wasn’t happy about it at all, in fact I made it a point to explain to them that the sales rep had told me this. They then proceeded to tell me that they couldn’t honor that. So, I ended up taking it to a very reputable bike shop in San Bernardino where they charged me only $150. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth because I do business with people on how they treat me. I am a man of my word and expect the same in return when they tell me something. It also made me wonder how the dealership can charge $400 bucks for service but then get the same service some place else for way cheaper. I know dealerships are all about making as much money as possible, but they should also not try to gouge people when servicing or selling parts. People will notice and go elsewhere for those kind of things. I have actually been ordering after market parts on line due to the fact that the dealership is overpriced. With that being said, I am not unhappy with the purchase. The bike is my new love and I am truly happy with it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to ride plenty of fun I traded in a Suzuki GSX-R 600 for the a 2016 Scout Sixty and couldn't be happier. This bike is comfortable, extremely agile and a blast to ride. I love the retro styling and black accents on the bike. This is an easy to ride bike that begginers could buy and not get bored of. Although another exhaust is highly recommended as the factory set is far too quite.

Indian Scout
Starting at $11,499 US MSRP
2019 Indian Scout Indian Motorcycle Red / Thunder Black (ABS) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 931.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bike is mind blowing! I recently purchased a 2017 Indian Scout ABS in the two tone color option. I am absolutely blown away by how much of an amazing bike this is. Polaris hit it out of the ballpark with this bike, and that's an understatement. I come from a mostly sport bike background. Previous bikes I owned include a Ducati 999R, an Aprilia RSV4 Factory, an Aprilia RSV Mille R, a Ducati 998S, and so many more sport bikes I can't even count. Anyways, as I get older, I decided I wanted something more comfortable to ride, but still sporty enough that I can have fun with it. I originally bought a 2014 Harley Forty Eight, but I was disappointed. While it's a reasonable comfortable bike, the suspension is garbage, and it vibrates so much it will rattle your fillings out. I got turned onto Indians from reading motorcycle magazines, and boy am I glad I did! This Scout is a real wolf in sheep's clothing. It looks and feels like a cruiser in terms of riding comfort. However, open this bad boy up and you're in for a very nice surprise. Gobs of power on demand, an engine that just purrs (yet doesn't vibrate like the Harleys do), and a very lightweight feel, despite the actual weight of the bike. We live out in the country, so I have the opportunity to ride all these twisty backroads. This thing is a beast in the corners! Sure, you can't drag your knees like a sport bike, but this thing whips through the corners with minimal effort, and you remain completely upright and comfortable at the same time! I'm still trying to find words big enough to describe how amazing this bike is. It's the only cruiser I've ever ridden that performs like a sport bike. You can manage to be comfortable and relaxed, but still have an amazing time on those fun backroads. As I said before, Polaris hit it out of the ballpark with the revival of the Indian brand. Their marketing is genius, the bikes provide both form and function (and look killer too), and the dealer network seems to ever expanding. I'll tell you what... Harley Davidson is about to get a serious run for their money. This bike just destroys a Harley Sportster in every aspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from vroom vroom i demos the 2019 Indian scout. My bike was optioned out with stage 1 pipes the fox shocks, and low fly windshield. bike rode very nice smooth acceleration, great braking. I tried to hit a few bumps since i do live in an urban area with many potholes and below average roads. still felt okay.. i have seem other review where they say the bike doesn't have power under 4000 rpm. maybe because of the upgraded exhaust that took care of that problem, but i didn't notice this issue. I am very interested in buying a scout, maybe this coming up spring

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best of both worlds. I've had my Scout for a little under a year and I love it more than when I first got it. I'm just so sad that it's not full time riding season yet! I came from a sport bike, and really thought I was going to miss the handling and throttle response, but was I pleasantly surprised when I have both in my scout! Only problems I've encountered is a missed shift to 2nd every so often. Couldn't be happier.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect "around town" mid sized cruiser I was one of the first to receive my Scout in Massachusetts and have enjoyed every minute of it. I purchased from MOMS Foxboro and they have been attentive, caring, and professional at all times. The bike is beautiful and I took advantage of options like extended reach foot controls, extended reach seat, and Stage 1 exhaust. I purchase Michelin Commander II tires since I was not satisfied with the factory tires. After about 600 miles my instrument gauge failed. Dealer replaced it no charge (but it did result in my odometer saying "0" again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing bike I bought my 2015 indian scout in Nov 2015 and was so amazed of the power, smoothness, how lightweight it is..I have no problems keeping up with my hubby now who has an indian chief classic..I only wish it had a shift indicator so I'm getting one from a 2016 and that the break and clutch lever was adjustable like my hubbies..I have small hands so they get cramped..other than that excellent bike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love riding my Scout Love that as a short female I can ride and handle the bike. I tell every woman who is thinking of purchasing a motorcycle to try the Scout and compare it the HD. In most cases they will find the Scout is more centered and easier to handle than other comparable bikes. It will also keep up with others pretty easy I would like to see a slightly larger tank, a gas gage and a horn you can hear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never thought I would own a cruiser ! I have had many different types and genres of motorcycles. Dirt, Adventure, Street, Dual purpose, Naked, Sport Touring etc. This is my first cruiser and I'm diggin' it. I can kick back and cruise or blast through the mountains. It handles pretty good in the twisties and high speed sweepers. Just went from Alices's Resturant to San Gregorio via Hiway 84 and high speed sweepers were a blast. The Scout holds a pretty good line at 80 on up in the big turns. Highly recommend aftermarket shocks for increased ground clearance and comfort. Got the Progressive 444 shocks, they give you about another inch of clearance. Now I'm not banging the foot pegs so much. I also have Moto Guzzi Griso and an African Twin. Another bike experience on my way to Valhalla.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Scout Rider & Loving it..! I bought my Scout in 2016...its my first motorcycle and I'm loving the experience.! Quick, responsive and full of power. Each ride is exciting and enjoyable. Was an avid Bicyclist for + 20 years, finding my Scout experience a riding on steriods. There is no experience like it! Joined the local IMRG and now experiencing rides with fellow Indian Riders, we all love our Indians. We always make our presence and other bikers are amazed on the design, workmanship and beauty of our Indians. Looking forward to many years of riding my scout..!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from So Long, Indian Bought my 2018 Chieftain Darkhorse back in November of 2017. Over the past year I have experienced computer issues, battery issues, backfire issues and tuning issues. I tried relentlessly to rectify my issues with the local Indian shop with no success. The stereo sound quality on this bike was poor and the suspension was squishy, bottoming out easily. Before you purchase an Indian motorcycle, I suggest you have the availability of a fully “certified” mechanic and shop to perform diagnostics and maintenance. The shop I used was extremely limited with their available resources - staffing and equipment. For you to experience any kind of acceptable performance you will need an (at a minimum) aftermarket CAI, Stage II Cams and Exhaust. My advice - do your homework and read as many reviews as possible to help you with this costly decision.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome to look at and amazing to ride! I absolutely loved the look of the Scout last year when I first saw it at our local dealer. This spring I scheduled a test ride, and just had to have it. Bought one that day, and have been ecstatic about it every since. There is no other bike I see that I am envious of, and just can't get enough riding on it. Have absolutely nothing bad I can say about this bike after my first season it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice bike with a few niggles It may not be exactly fair to review this as I arrived at Indian on my H2. My wife was riding an FTR 1200 and I rode this (didn’t want to hold the group up). Overall it was enjoyable. Nice little grumble. Good pickup. Totally different riding style that I’m not used to - forward controls and sort of a tilted seat. I gotta deduct points for the nice ‘massage’ I got once I hit highway speeds. Vibration was very pronounced. This bike had reduced reach (which I didn’t know or need) but it would be great for those who are shorter. Bike is nice and low too so shorter folks can be flat footed. Overall, my first time on a Scout and I was pleasantly surprised. Oh, and last thing, it was a lot smoother than I expected. But again, vibration at higher speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nearly perfect bike for me! I love my Indian Scout! After a summer of riding, there are only a few things that I think could be better. 1) The rear shocks are too stiff. I replaced them with IKONs, and I enjoy the ride now. 2) For me, the seat is good for about an hour of riding before it becomes uncomfortable. Plan to replace with a Corbin over the winter. 3) Would prefer an analog tach over the digital one. Hoping for one to become available at some point. I consider these things to be minor, or easily upgraded, so I didn't deduct a star. Fantastic bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of get up and go!!! I bought my Scout in December so I'm just now getting her out to stretch her legs. I went from a Vulcan 500 to the Indian because I wanted a lightweight bike with some more take off power and the Scout has it. I seriously considered getting another Vulcan because I loved my 500 but the weight of the 900 was more than what I wanted. This Scout is so light and maneuverable, it handles like a dream. I am planning to put mini apes on it because it has just a bit of a reach to it yet even though I did order the reduced reach accessories.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for!!! I had been riding motorcycles off and on for the last forty years or so. In October 2015 I purchased an Indian Scout to keep me anchored as I drove myself to the thirty eight cancer radiation treatments! The Scout was just what I needed to get me through a horrific process. The Scout is a pleasure to ride and can't help but smile as I ride it, feeling free and alive!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This Machine Is Nearly Perfect I am an Original owner (12/14) - This bike is nearly perfect (could us a larger tank) I installed a lot of Indian accessories - all well engineered and manufactured. Polaris obviously spent a lot of $$$ and time engineering and designing the Scout. I installed a of Bassani exhaust system and wrapped the headers in black insulating tape , now it's perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bike! This bike is balanced! Being a new rider I was a little concerned about the Scout being my first ride. However, the bike handles great, looks even better, and has not disappointed yet. I have been following Indian for a long time and have to say, Polaris is doing a great job. I'm excited to be riding and even more excited to be doing it on the 2017 Scout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike! I bought my scout last summer, and absolutely love it. It’s my first bike and I was very impressed with the power and styling of the bike. I had bought all the accessories. I highly recommend the led pathfinder headlight, and getting the stage 1 straights. I just ordered the chrome spoked wheels and a set of whitewalls and am excited to see them installed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike!! I bought my Scout last summer and put 4,000 miles on it by the end of fall. The bike looks great, handles great, and runs great. When I take it out places people always tell me that they love the retro styling of the Scout. I chose the Scout because I wanted a maneuverable bike that was powerful and not too bulky. The 69 cubic inch motor provides plenty of power, the fuel injection and liquid cooling add to the functionality of the motor. I highly recommend the Indian Scout motorcycle and I've been totally pleased with mine!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovin' my Scout, but... This summer I'll celebrate one year with my 2015 Indian Scout. I have been biking since 11-years-old. I've owned more bikes than I can remember. The Scout is easily my favorite. The Scout balances old-school and contemporary styling artfully. And the power of the styling is matched and complimented but the power of the engine. But the low-cost of the Scout means corners were cut. Suspension, while adequate, lacks support over rougher roads. Not sure of the percentage, but if I were a betting man, I would suspect over half of the Scout owners have replaced the mufflers. They sound like they came off a Honda Goldwing and look like fire extinguishers. So aftermarket purchases are a must for most owners. All that being said, I'd buy an Indian Scout all over again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Power to spare! I test road the Scout with 69ci, and have to say this pony has punch! The 100 hp was available in all six gears, without being to twitchy in first and second. Moved with ease around any turn. I am looking for a smaller bike than my current Honda VTX 1800r, but still good power for the freeway. The Scout fits the bill with change. Just need louder pipes, it would be nice to have a slightly bigger gas tank. Slightly longer rake on the shifter and foot pads would be nice too. I am I the six foot range. Indian, you got a winner!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from some great improvements? I bought my indian scout last year, I was on a waiting list for it. The bike is a very nice ride and I have no intention of selling it any time soon; I have been riding for 50 years. I do not like the fact that it has no gas gauge and I don't like the limited turning radius. These I would like to see improved. I think that a side car would be a great addition whereas the bike has plenty of power for one as is. Floor boards as an added accessory would be nice from Indian as well. However I am much pleased with this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride I am a new rider however I cannot stop riding this bike. I have a little dirty bike experience however this thing revs way better than any other motorcycle I've been on. Pulls at all speeds! Handles great. Great balance. Weighs about 560 lbs. I liked it better than the Sportser all the way. Has more power and maybe too much for a beginner. I don't believe th u s is a beginner bike. Small but powerful. Only complaint is at high speeds I get thrown around a little. Not bad though. Also fasteners are not stainless steel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Shorter Riders I have changed to reduced reach foot controls and handlebars and it makes it a perfect fit for those of us that are shorter. But I needs a bigger gas tank to be able to keep up with the larger touring bikes. If you are in a group ridding it causes problems when you have to stop frequently and have to play catch up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sexy looking bike I am a novice rider and this is only my second bike so my opinion is relatively unseasoned.... I bought this bike solely based on aesthetics, the smoke black finish with the tan leather seat and saddlebags is sexy and dapper looking. I only wish it was also available on the Scout 60, as I didn't really want the bigger engine or the 6th gear. The bike is arguably worth the base price, but I feel gouged by the price of add-ons like spool, saddlebags, passenger seat, even the passenger pegs!! My only small disappointments are a lack of an analog tach, power port near the steering column for connecting a phone charger, a steering column lock, and a helmet lock. I do enjoy that it is still a relatively rare bike, not too many on the road, and it turns a few heads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike for begining and experienced riders Last month my friend and I each took a Scout for a test drive. I have not ridden a bike since I received my endorsement a few months ago. It didn't take long to get used to riding this masterful machine. Excellent balance and power. He currently rides a 95 Sportster and was impressed enough that he wants to trade-in his Harley for a Scout. The ride was smooth and I was able to handle it with ease. We are both 6'+ and had no issues with the stock setup. I can't wait to make this my first motorcycle purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoy the bike, gets alot of looks I got my bike a little over a year ago and have changed a few things on it, like putting extended controls, 10' ape hangers and vintage exhaust pipes (they sound great) love the bike and it gets alot of looks, even some die hard HD riders must admit my bike looks and sounds great. Love the bike, the handling, horsepower and the weight are perfect for the Arkansas mountain roads, it will lean in to corners and pulls up great. Of the things I wished it had is cruise control and less expensive Indian soft bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great get around bike! With readily available do it yourself modIfications at a click a mouse, you can make this bike almost anything you want. Its quick and easy to ride. The thing you cant make this bike into is a touring/cruising bike. When cruising at 70mph, the front end feels like it will come off the pavement. Not sure why this feels unstable but hopefully Polaris will fix this in the near future. Really love my Scout and they way it rides on the curves, but will need another bike for ling distance and highway rides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Scout The Indian Scout is a great bike to own for riders of most all types, skill levels and ages.. I'm 66 yrs old and wish I had a bike like this 40 yrs ago. The Scout is so easy to handle and it has power to spare. I'm proud to be a member of the IMRG and look forward to many more miles of fun..

2019 Indian Scout Bobber Thunder Black is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 227.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 4 corners rally Demo'd this bike from Sky Ute. Throttle response and power is incredible! The roll and center of gravity is smooth! Felt it in my spine tho with my feet up in forward controls. Also rode the FTR and yes I would ride that one! It's nimble and quick!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun Bike, Probably Needs a Younger Rider :) Test ride was in the rain, so that dampered things a bit. Overall, the bike performed well, although it did seem a little lose on the wet pavement. Lots of power. Comfort not so much (but I'm 50, so a younger rider would probably appreciate it).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprised I test rode the Scout Bobber based on it’s look at first. After a few miles i realized how smooth yet torquey the motor was, a real surprise for a big twin! The riding position, brakes and handling were very good. I felt comfortable quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for shorter people The bike was uncomfortable for ME because I'm taller than average. With the taller rider kit, it would be better. Engine and transmission were smooth as silk. Huge powerband. I barely took it out of 6th once we got started rolling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian FTR 1200 The Indian FTR 1200 delivers as it should. It has plenty of power. The suspension was on the stiff side which I liked. My only gripe with the setup is that it had a slight sportbike feel to the seat in that it was leaning forward.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Serious styling I tried one at demo days and I like everything about it but I am just not a forward peg riding style kind of guy. My butt was numb after 10 miles. I'm going to stick to the more upright riding position. Such as on the FTR 1200

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike! Absolutely love this bike. I have to say this is the nicest bike I have ever owned. Looks fantastic and feels like it was made for me. I am 5.8 and 160lbs. Love the power band and handling. Overall I am extremely satisfied.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice torq I went to test ride an ftr. I climbed on and realized I am to old for hooliganism. I jumped on the bobber just for fun and found I really liked the ride. Simple no frills and a blast to ride. Thank you for the opportunity!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bike. Love it! I purchased an Indian Scout Bobber 6 months ago. And, I love it! I have a big fat grin on my face every time I ride. The bike feels solid, well-build, handles amazingly, and is easily the best bike I have ever ridden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely smooth Rode the bobber at a demo event. I have not rode a brewing cruiser in several years and last one was a Harley. I was not expecting the bike to be so smooth and responsive. Crushing was a dream. Definitely my next bike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun bike for short trips This was a really fun bike to ride! Had great power and I loved the feel of the bike. This is more of a short ride bike or great as a second bike. I would call this a bar hopper. It would be great as a starter bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Powerful You can definitely feel the power of those 100 horses! Handled great! Very fun bike to ride. Sporty, very quick. Would be great for around town and shorter trips. Would make a great sidekick to my Springfield.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quick! I test rode a Scout Bobber today at R&J Performance in Ottumwa, Iowa. My normal ride is one of the two liter bikes from a foreign company, and I am hooked on the POWER! I was/am drawn to the Scout because it is a performance bike of a different nature. Until today I hadn't been in a position to ride one. I'm glad I did. From a dead stop, I took the bike full tilt while modulating the throttle to avoid wheel spin, and raced it out fairly seriously. In this mode, the scout shines. It does what even my two liter bike doesn't. It accelerated with HP rather than torque, and it does it Quick! I would love to own one, and I knew that before. It would be an awesome bike to tune and race on the Street or the Strip. If I'm being honest, most of my friends don't like it because it's too old school looking, and it shares the same 1200 cc's of it's competitors bikes, which have a reputation for being girls bikes. However, I dig the old school look, and nothing makes me happier than to completely dominate a rival with some nostalgic looking muscle. It's a nice bike. Maybe soon? We'll see.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible! I couldn’t believe how much of a punch this thing packs! I enjoyed every aspect of the bike with the exception of the shifter. It was too high up from the foot peg, and I kept missing my shifts because of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Demo Finally made the time to go on a couple of test rides at the demo trailer and was very happy with the Bobber and the performance and handling of the bike and all the options that are available and affordable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2018 Scout Bobber Pros: Engine was peppy, felt nimble (though I had just gotten off a Roadmaster), self-cancelling turn signals Cons: No adjustability in the front forks, no wind protection, no cruise, forward controls only.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best motorcycle for sure i bought a new 2017 scout and I have had it for a year. a great powerful smooth riding bike. I have taken it out on long road trips over 1800 miles long and its just a good comfortable great machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5'1" ride can reach Great demo ride. Easy to maneuverand lots of throttle to accelerate. The seat needs to be shaved down for my inner thigh, it kept pinching me, and could be a lot softer. Great upgrades including pipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Custom Saw the JD Bobber in an ad, and immediately placed an order. The ad portrayed an amazing looking, factory custom. About ten days later, was informed that I would be able to get one. Waited almost six months for it to arrive. The wait was worth it. Having seen a couple stock bobbers around town, this JD bike is well beyond those in looks. The bike seems to be carved from a single block of steel, with the motor blacked out, against the matte black and real gold accents. No matter where the bike is parked, no matter who it is that passes by, they stop to look. As for the ride, I find the suspension and seat issues raised in the many reviews to simply not be a problem. Having ridden everything from dirt bikes to custom Harleys, for over 45 years, I'm still a rider. It's not a problem to anticipate larger anomalies in pavement and simply pull yourself up a bit, from the seat. The bike is fast, smooth, stops well, and looks incredible. The biggest issue i have is not being able to set my feet back on rear pegs, as the stock set up for passenger pegs is too high. So, looking at developing something unique.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike! Wow what a great bike. Very smooth. It's not too big but would be a great bike for anyone for everyday riding. I want it but since we just got a brand new motorcycle, can't get it yet!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great bar hopper Bike is amazing, I gave it a 3 star because it is not a bike you can ride 200 miles with out a lot of upgrades. But for short distances it’s an amazing bike and great beginner bike.
Date published: 2020-05-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power I liked the Scout Bobber. It had great power and torque. The bike is light and handles well for it’s design. It is not a touring bike but would be a really good around town bike.

2019 Indian Chief Vintage Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 561.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from My dream bike---But A little disappointed Bought this bike in April 2016. I've wanted one since I was a kid. It's absolutely beautiful and the ride is excellent. But the knocking from the engine is a real turn off. Hard to enjoy the ride listening to that. Most folks call it "clacking". It's all over the Indian forums. I guess it remains to be seen what it does in the long run. But by that time my warranty might be gone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great demo ride. I rode a 2019 or 2020 Chief Vintage for a demo ride, I was not told specifically which model year the bike was. I was not briefed on how to switch ride modes, so I cannot attest to the differences. I was told the ride would start in 5 minutes and three minutes later was running to get on the bike to join the demo group. Overall, I liked the Chief Vintage. It shifts better than my 2016 Chief Dark Horse. I wanted to ride a 2020 Chief Dark Horse, but that model was not among the available demo bikes. I will return when one is available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The old school look. I bought my 17 Chief Vintage on Halloween day. Eric from the Columbia store delivered it on that day. He gave me a great price since the 18's were coming out. Used it a lot on the nice days we had left in the season. I don't have any complaints on it, everyone looks as I ride by. Making plans the riding season, it really doesn't matter where, we just love to ride it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Motorcycle I've Ever Ridden! I've owned over 200 bikes starting in 1973. Recently I purchased a 2017 Indian Vintage, Willow Green and Cream. Not only do the stunning looks stop traffic, it is easily the BEST motorcycle I have ever ridden! She's got it all, looks, handling, and the awesome performance of the 111 Thunder Stroke. Thinking about it? Test drive one, you won't be sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing bike with added features. I bought this bike back in April and traded in my Yamaha Raider Custom which was a beautiful bike. The Indian Vintage was the only bike I found that fit me perfectly coming with all the added features that I didn't have to add after my purchase . Compared to my Yamaha, the ride is amazing. Handling is great even thou it weighs more than my other bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Classic styling, Modern-day running gear I bought the Vintage for the classic styling and retro-look. But this bike also includes nice, modern touches such as vibration-dampening floor boards, fuel injection, ABS, and cruise control. I didn't much care for the front wind screen (not because of buffeting, but bug overkill and cleaning), so that came off several days after the break-in period. On chilly mornings I miss the heated grips and heated seat. One of the best things on the bike are the brown leather saddle bags. One of the worst things on the bike are the brown leather saddle bags (ease of use, maintenance). Nice sound without too much vibration, 40 mpg, fairly easy to handle at low speeds, very comfortable at 72 mph. The whitewall tires are classic, but need cleaning. No sound system, so say 'hello' to the i-pod. It isn't the fastest bike off of the line, but acceleration isn't everything. If I wanted acceleration, I'd look at a GSX or similar. I would buy this bike again.
Date published: 2016-03-24
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great ride! I love everything about this bike, except the style of the tail light and turn signals, which look more modern (Honda-ish) for a vintage styled bike. Ride is much smoother than my HD Road Glide. Handling is supurb, but need to be careful at low speed maneuvering as turn radius isn't sharp at all, and can catch you off guard in parking lots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Style March 2016 I bought A Vintage. 31 yrs of nothing but H-D. I had read and looing longingly at the pics but what sold me was the motor. I love the fact that there is only one oil to change. No longer do I need Primary, Engine and Transmission fluids. One does it all. Then there's the Power of the Big V Twin. I have the stage 2 hop up (and will do the Stage 3 or trade in for a new model) and at Highway cruising this sled is responsive and handles better than any H-D I ever owned (Dyna/Softail/FXR/Rigid) and at low speeds its the best turning ride ever. I will never own anything but an Indian from here on. Oh yeah, Flat Track is back because Indian has made it a priority. The old saying "win on track, win on the sales floor." Do yourself a favor, test ride an Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Old School Cool Upgraded from a Scout (my first bike ever) to a Vintage and have never looked back. The Vintage expands your riding options significantly and provides a much more comfortable experience. The space, stance, storage, power, fuel range, etc. Tremendous bike if you're looking for a cruiser with that old school look but modern comforts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a better life! i bought my chief in October 2015. I have owned, worked on, built, and driven numerous Harleys, but I will never go back to one of them. The new Indian diplays and gives the best of itself in both looks ands performance. once you get it rolling you can feel all the technology and work that went into the building of this motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Culture commands attention! I've owned my Vintage for a year and a half now and still can't wait to get home and take her out. The only problem I have is not wanting to get off. Sooo smooth and the torque screams power. My other bikes just sit now and don't even look pretty next to my Indian. The culture has been reborn and I'm proud to be part of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from She's a beast and I love her Comin' up on a year since I gave in to impulse and rode this work of art home. Smooth riding machine. Comfortable on the shorts and the longs. People seem drawn to her like she's a magnet. I know I was, and I still am. Between this classy lady and the 1st Run Scout, I have huge issues deciding which to ride. Life is good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Like a magic carpet Wow. This bike is amazing. Pure luxury that combines vintage Indian style with modern technology. The TS111 engine is full of power and the suspension makes the ride feel like a day at the spa. Don't buy this bike if you don't like people stopping to admire your bike constantly. Every time I ride it I get smiles and thumbs up from other all bikers from sport riders to the Harley crowd. It's an attention grabber, for sure, but has the engineering prowess to back it up. I loved it so much I bought a new Scout as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great styling, comfort, and performance I have had my 2015 vintage for 5 months now. I love the sound as I roll on the throttle away from a stop. Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Dream Bike This is a gift from my late wife. I purchased it after she passed away and I think of her every time I get on it! My grandfather was also a motorcycle cop in Springfield Mass. back in the 30's, 40's, and 50's where Indians were originally made so it's kind of sentimental in that aspect too!

The heat is much worse on the Roadmaster, but both are noisy (engine). Please make next generation liquid cooled engine.

2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 295.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chief dark horse I just traded my 2017 Indian scout which I put 4300 miles on in 6 months first street bike totally loved it but on the highway got blown around. Just picked up a 2017 Chief dark horse 3500 miles on it what a bike love it thought it would be harder to ride, after two days of getting used to the bike it handles like a dream

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Endless Power I bought the Dark Horse back in May. Great power. Smooth ride. Only two minor issues. Wish it had slightly better throttle response. The bigger issue, still nothing major. Wish the air box would not stick so far out. Makes for shifting a little awkward. Have to bend my foot in a little bit to shift, but you get use to it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from dark horse rules the road I bought this bike 3 months ago after trading in my 2015 Harley Dyna. There is no comparison. The DH is far superior to anything Harley offered. I test rode to new Softail Slim to be fair. Not even close. This bike handles so well. Its balanced and smooth. Will never ride anything but an Indian again. Good Job Polaris!!!

I'm glad to see the war is back on between Harley and Indian... I love the Cadillac, ride of the long wheel base. The new stage 2 cams give it even more low end torque. I can't wait for the 121 inch top end to come out ~;-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Impressions I've barely had a chance to ride it since I purchased her in the off season, and it's really cold in MN this time of year. But It runs and rides great from the little taste I've had so far, It's a beautiful bike and even being a no frills model it has some great features like push button start and cruise control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike I bought the Chief Dark Horse in January at Pikes Peak Indian Motorcycle in Colorado Springs, CO. Had a number of things done to it to include adding The Stage 3 Big Bore Kit, and had the Heads Diamond Cut. Bike looks, rides, and sounds fantastic!!!! The dealership is top notch and I highly recommend!!!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike I have owned my dark horse for a little over 8 months and it rides and handles amazing for a large cruiser. The features that come stock are great and it is a very comfortable bike to ride all day. The only two complaints I have are the lack of an oil cooler and the very limited availability of custom parts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very smooth machine I've had my Darhorse for about a year now and it gets better with every ride. A little weak on power until she got stretched out and I would like to see more faring options avail...but when you ride a one of a kind type of machine, it takes awhile for the market to catch up to it. Very happy with my bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Dark Horse I bought this March 2015 when they first came out. Amazing bike I think for Bar Hopping or single riding around town. I hate the rear Fox Shock, when my wife rides, it makes the bike feel like a slinky in turns. I've been riding (by myself and with my wife, 25 mph and on small bumps the bike bottoms out. Bike has no weight on it and I'm a small guy 5'4" 170lbs wife is smaller then I am. Because of the way the shock is set up you need a special adjuster wrench and a jack which I don't have just to adjust the shock, Sucks. The bike is 2" longer then the Classic, Chieftain and Roadmaster. Because of the length I have a hard time keeping speed in turns and my motions are choppy. This bike will cook your legs to "Well Done". Love this bike but want to get rid of it in a bad way. My wife hates riding on this bike, it makes her sick and dizzy. I'm a very conservative rider especially when my wife is riding because it's hard to control with a passenger. Accessories are WAY over priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Most Beautiful Bike Ever Produced! I had been eyeing Indians since the Gilroy models dusted off the brand, and waited patiently for the quality and performance to catch up with the aesthetics. I bought the Dark Horse model because I think it's the prettiest bike ever built, and since the Polaris Indian is a far better bike and at a far better value than Harley Davidson can produce, it was an easy choice to make in all categories. I also ride a pumped Hayabusa and KTM 1190 r, so performance is very important to me. Where American V-Twins are concerned, the Indian simply cannot be matched. The most surprising feature of this bike, is the truly remarkable handling, which is on a par with most sport-touring bikes, solid brakes, and when allowed to breath with intake and exhaust not strangled by idiotic California regulations, a lot of power! For upgrades, I recommend the Dirty Bird Customs Peace Pipe, a PC-V Fuel Manager and a dyno tune to make the vacuum cleaner sound go away, and the roar of a mighty motor come to life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If I'm a beauty then this is my Beast. I love how easily it handles. I had a 950 Yamaha V-star for years and this handles better and has more power without losing any of the versatility. I get a lot of complements about the design and the color. I put different pips on it though just to be heard it was quiet but so are most stock pipes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful, head turning styling & unyielding power I bought my Dark Horse in December of 2016 because of a need for a different bike to take on a planned ride from the midwest to Skagway, AK. I walked into a dealership, having never ridden an Indian. Saw the Dark Horse and fell in love. Bought it on the spot. Wonderful bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike I've ever owned. Picked up the bike last July and have been in love with ever since. It's a head turner that laugh's at the phrase "put up or shut up" ! A stock Dark Horse that has won bike shows can also out perform any bike in it class. There is no turning back for me, Indian rider for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS BIKE I purchased the Dark Horse in July and I can't stay off of it!! The look and feel of the Dark Horse are second to none. I'm not a windshield and bagger type so I didn't go for the Chieftain Dark Horse. I get all kind of complements on it even when I ride with the Harley guys.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bang for the buck I got my dark horse after much research and wow what a ride. Had a Victory Kingpin before which was great but this bike far surpasses it. Polaris did good. Smooth powerful engine, excellent handling, comfort, dark horse has it all. Love the black with just a touch of chrome.
Date published: 2016-10-18
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2016 Dark Horse In general I would give this bike a 4.5 out of 5 just because I don't like how the pipes are the first thing to scrape going into a corner. Other bike I have ridden the foot pegs are the first thing to scrape, and pegs would be a lot easier and cheaper to replace than pipes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Demo Ride I road the Dark Horse at Rt 30 in West York, PA. it has plenty of power, handles well and the riding position is comfortable. The feel of it over lacks a little for me. My Harley makes me feel close to the road and, although some may not care for the weight and vibration, it is part of the experience for me. The Dark Horse is a few thousand more than my Ultra Limited cost me, has less cargo space even with a trunk, is air cooled, and the salesman was touting “new features” for the Indian that were on my Limited in 2014. I didn’t care for the toe shift or the break peg as opposed to the heal toe shift and break pad in the Harley. Bottom line is while the Indians have impressive power and handling, to approach the touring space and quality of features I would need to spend somewhere in the range of $38k on a new Indian and, even then I am not sure it would match the touring capability of my Harley. I really wanted to love this bike, and I think there is some potential, but, for the cost I could by a CVO...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One sexy beast This thing rides itself, just tell it where to go. But the look of it gets my adrenaline flowing and makes me yearn for the open road. When I say I wouldn't recommend it, it's because I'm being selfish and I done want anyone else to have a bike as awesome as mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cool ride This is the best handling motorcycle I have ever ridden, it has looks, class, style and handles like a dream. What more can I say, I am now a devoted Indian fan, even their apparel is high quality. Very glad I made this purchase, I can't wait to go riding!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's like this bike was made for me! I have owned this bike for about a week and a half now and have around 300 or more miles on it already. It handles like a dream, sounds great, and turns heads like crazy. I've had a lot of people asking me if it's a real Indian, and launching into stories about their adventures on their Indian bikes. I've had several people ask to take pictures of it cause they haven't seen anything like it! I gave 4/5 stars for Fit and Finish due to a couple of paint spots on the tank and fenders, but honestly, it's not noticeable in the slightest. I also gave 4/5 stars for the sound, because while the stock pipes have a rich, deep rumble to them, I would love for them to be just a tad louder. But hey, that's what upgrades are for, right? I know loud isn't everyone's cup of tea, I just like for drivers to know I'm on the road with them. Apart from that, I can't say enough good things about it. I'll ride this bike till the wheels fall off, and then I'll put them back on and ride some more. Definitely recommend you test ride one, see what you think!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top notch styling and power Purchased the first time I saw it. Brother-in-law bought a 2015 Roadmaster earlier in the year. Happy with the add-ons available, but they're priced too high. Dealer was great, especially providing hard bag using parts from other Indians in the line-up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike!!! This bike is awesome. I've put 12,000 miles on my 2016 Dark Horse in less than a year, and 3,000 of those miles I put on it when I rode from Mississippi to the Grand Canyon,in Arizona. It's a very well balanced bike, and has plenty of torque. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike this bike is awesome. the only complaint i have about the bike is I feel it falls short on power. I have been a sport bike rider for years and I am used to a fair amount of "get up and go." The scout delivers that, I just wish the dark horse did too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! Purchased august 2015 and loving it. one gripe is the red power on/off switch is to easy to accidently bump off while driving down the road, done that a few times already. One concern is the left side plastic cover under the seat is turning blue-ish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride! Upgraded to the Dark Horse from a Scout and as much as I loved my Scout this bike is a whole new level. I love everything this bike offers and it has zero to complain about. I would highly recommend this bike to new and experienced riders alike!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy Heading into my second season, have only had a few minor issues first reason, but very happy overall. My biggest problem is the attention this thing gets, it forces me to talk to a lot of strangers every time I stop someplace for rest and quiet!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice bike Best bike I ever had, smooth, powerful, comfortable, already added the round air filter in black, the stage one exhaust in chrome and 6 shooter tips in black, and black leather saddlebags,..need to come up with a locking system though for the bags.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike The seat is very comfortable, Drivability is great, handles awsome, floorboards are comfortable. I am 5'4 and I can flat foot the ground at a red light. I cannot find one fault with this bike, many aftermarket parts and upgrades available

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Ride! Fantastic bike! Great and comfortable ride, power and suspension were where more than satisfactory. Recommended. Throttle response lags a little and then finally comes on. Exhaust would also need to be upgraded for better sound.

2019 Indian Springfield Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 283.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chieftain I was wrestling with the Springfield or the Chieftain I bought the Springfield but only had it for about a month 1100 miles. I traded up for a Chieftain lost some money in the process which didn't make me happy, but I found I just fit better on the Chieftain and should have gone with it from the start, they are both great bikes.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Springfield is a great package! Locking hard bags, 25 degree rake, easily adjustable rear suspension, highway bars front and back, plus the liner handle bars make a great bike better! It could use more power stock (without changing air filter, cam and pipes). Water cooling would be nice too... My wife's Scout is a little water cooled rocket!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is the bike I was waiting for! I have always wanted an Indian, Polaris acquiring and reviving the line is the best thing that could have happened. It is an AMAZING bike, extremely well built, with the classic Indian style and up to date features. Rides like a dream, handles corners like a cat, turns heads EVERYWHERE! Thank you thank you thank you!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my Springfield I have been an avid motorcycle owner and rider for over 50 years and have owned several different motorcycle brands in the past. I decided to buy a Springfield this year because every time I saw one in the past, it was a head-turner. I wanted to stand out from the crowd, and loved the look of the bike. I purchased my custom Springfield, 116 in burgundy metallic in February 2020. This is the best bike I have ever owned and now every Harley rider at the intersection turns their heads for me. I LOVE MY SPRINGFIELD!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Exhilaration I've had my 2017 Springfield for 29 months now and have 23,500 miles on her. And all that in Utah with our limited riding seasons. Great bike. I'd like to have five different bikes in the garage for whatever mood I might be in on a particular day, but that's not possible; so, versatility was the key for me. With the removable windshield and hard bags, in a moment I can head out on a sleek muscle cruiser; yet with everything thing on, I have a worthy cruiser. I think it's extremely important to really ask yourself why you ride or are wanting to ride in the first place. For me, it's the freedom, if I needed to use just one word. It's the sensation of floating or flying and just forgetting all of the demands of this world that seem to be pressing in every day. This bike is worth every penny. And my wife has learned to love the fresh perspective that I come home with after a ride. One final thought: you hear some express concerns over the weight. If all you do is sit on this bike at a dealership, it will seem a bit heavy; but I seem to remember women feeling the same way about big SUVs in the 90s before actually driving and learning that you could practically steer them with one finger. It's not heavy, and you need to actually ride this awesome bike. Lastly, you hear some talk about the heat, especially off of the rear cylinder. I ride in Utah where summer temperatures routinely push over 100 degrees. I've been on this bike in stop-and-go traffic in those temps. Do I feel the heat? Yes. It's a classic American v-twin. But is it painful, or unbearable? No. I can only say that if you use either one of these as a sole criterion for not buying this bike, that would be a real shame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream cycle I've had this Springfield for a few months. It's a very nimble bike to ride. I wish I had one sooner. The only disappointment I've had is the Indian riders group and all and any contact from Indian has proven to be non existent. No type of dealer freebies like you get from Harley-Davidson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling, power and styling. I bought the bike in May of this year. It is an all-around excellent motorcycle. Chrome alloy wheels should be an Indian option. Some minor flaws in the paint. Stock mufflers emit an excellent rumble..no need for replacement. I currently own the Smithfield and a Limited Can Am RT Roadster.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than anything else 21 k and two years later. Can't find fault. Tested them all. BMW, Honda and Harley. Those 3 couldn't touch it for ride and comfort or power. And Indian Springfield beat them in price. Harley lists a cheaper Road king with no extras. Once you get it up to Springfield standards it's 25K.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the looks and the way it handles. I purchased an Indian scout the year before and I truly loved it.It was just too small for me and my wife for extended trips.I purchased the Springfield and now we are both happy. This bike is everything I hoped it would be and then some.Just wish the exhaust had a little more rumble.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love that nostalgic look! As soon as Indian came out with the Springfield I made my decision to buy one. Exactly what I wanted. A windshield less the fairing. Plus I have the ability to remove when needed. I had been without a bike for 20 years until I purchased this. I was right at home on this bike in less than a day!. My wife and I just love it. The drive belt adjustment is my only concern at this point. It's very sensitive to alignment. Has to be perfect otherwise you get a lot of chirping/squeaking from the belt and pulleys.
Date published: 2017-08-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from versatility. After learning to ride on the Scout Sixty for six months the Springfield had the best handing specs for urban commutes of 16 miles round trip. The Scout perform almost perfect, but the Springfield showed road commanding handling at all speeds and weather conditions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride I bought it over a month ago and feel in love with it on my first ride. I have traveled 1400 mi on it with only two minor adjustments, engine heat and minor turbulence, that I still need to make to make it more comfortable to ride. Good on interstate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Middle weight Touring at it's best Had a 2014 Vintage, traded for my 2016 Springfield June 2016. Loving it still at 8,250 miles. Very light and nimble but has the large lockable saddlebags and cruise control of the touring models. It's a pleasure to ride in town or on the open highway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good power and handling. I was surprised by the power and ease of riding this bigger cruiser. I am not used to forward controls but quickly learned to manage. The only distraction was the tall windshield that forced me to look through it. That would be something to change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a seriously versatile and cool ride! I was determined to replace my 2007 Kawasaki Nomad with an Indian Springfield or a H-D Road King. I am a cruiser/bagger rider. This bike felt right and stole my 40 years of riding heart right away. It basically sold itself. It has power and torque to spare, looks great, and handles well. This baby is gonna be with me a while, and she's gonna get a lot of TLC, and see a lot of action. Eventually she will get custom paint because she is worth it. I would like her a little louder, but she growls nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from There is nothing to change. I turned in a Dark Horse for this bike, at the dealer. I am not riding to Strugis every year. Never had a bike with bags of any kind. Always been a back pack guy. This is a solid enjoyable bike. I can not imagine ever selling it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A new experiance I bought a 2017 Springfield last October and though I haven't put a lot of miles on it yet, That will come. My Indian Springfield is an amazing bike with great comfort, speed when you need it and Looks amazing. It has perfect lines and is an impressive bike. I love the color red which enhances the bike. I have had so many compliments on my bike for a stock bike. There are many options I could add to the Springfield to make it my own style without changing the beauty of the bike. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from nice ride, very smooth power I like the ride and handling very much, the sound new was terrible, aftermarket mufflers were a huge improvement. Worst part of the bike are the gross valve covers that look fake and belong on an imported bike. Indians are supposed to have fins on the head not a turtle shell. When you finish building the bike right please send me the right valve covers. Almost didn't buy the bike because of the covers!

Indian Chieftain Dark Horse
Starting at $27,999 US MSRP
2019 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse® is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 271.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Fell In Love!! I've never ridden anything other than sport bikes my whole life. When I rode this bike I was blown away by the comfort and all of the amenities. Not to mention that 116 engine! I am now making this bike my next one!! I'm converted!
Date published: 2019-06-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most capable bike I’ve ever ridden I test rode a DH Chieftain with mid rise bars, extended reach seat, and the 116” motor. I’m 6’3” and I couldn’t have been more comfortable. I’ve owned two HD Wide Glides, and two Victory Kingpins and this DH Chieftain took the cake.
Date published: 2019-07-27
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Incredibly well balanced I rode the 116 and it was an incredibly well balanced ride. VERY smooth and comfortable! My only criticism was the head buffeting at faster speeds. There didnt seem to be a good place to put it to stop although all the way up helped

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The power delivery and comfort is amazing. This is my upgrade for sure. My wife and I got to check it out today and it's more than I could ever want. Such an amazing ride. The power delivery was perfect and so comfortable through the corners and over the bumps.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Blown away I currently own a softail. But will be trading in soon on this bike. The ride is so smooth, and all of the features blew me away. Power and drivability. I felt more comfortable on this bigger bike than my softail .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all round bike I test rode this bike and was impressed by every feature. Bike was smooth and powerful, ergonomics comfortable and styling second to none. Dealership staff was super friendly and explained every feature of the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! I rode this bike several times at the Indian Demo. This bike is quick, comfortable, and easy to ride. Finally, a perfect bike straight from the dealership. No modifications required to enjoy a fun, comfortable ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely loved it. It’s a heavy bike that handles like a light bike. Love it. Just got to convince the wife why I need a second bike. Lots power, easy to maneuver and has some serious kick butt, built in accessories. GPS, radio etc.
Date published: 2019-06-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike I bought this bike after wanting one for a while. I always rode metrics before this and was afraid a bagger would be less fun to ride. This bike proved me wrong. And I'm so comfortable. Even with my wife on the back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome features I rode this bike on a demo ride at the myrtle beach spring rally. I instantly fell in love and will definitely be purchasing one as soon as possible. As a former Harley Davidson Street Glide owner it wins hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best handling motorcycle I've ever driven!!! I test drove this this morning to see the difference in performance between the 111 and the 116. I have owned a 2017 Roadmaster for 2 years and have never had any issues with the power but this bike is amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth ride Did a demo ride on Chieftain dark horse. Rode both 111 and 116 models. Prefer the 111 smooth power delivery and less vibration. You have a great product only one thing needed. Satellite radio needs to be added!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was smooth The test ride was ok. The guy was in a hurry and really did not care. I really like the look of the bike but would need to do a lot of modifcations. I guess I will stay with my Road Glide a bit longer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but lacking in some areas. I have put 1000km on it so far and overall love it but lacking in the cosmetic department. Front fearing/windshield has a rattle, been there since km zero. A bit disappointing considering it’s brand new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The bike for everyone. I purchase this bike 2 months ago. I went from a harley sporter to the indian cheiftain. My original plan was to buy a Harley street glide, but after comparing the both bikes the choice was a no brainer.
Date published: 2020-04-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid bike. Lots of electronic for the tec head. Frame very solid in turns and high speed. Braking was good. Good toque. Engine felt quite warm on the right leg but the bike was not hardly broke in and around 100f

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, not a fan of ape hangers. Enjoyed the ride, love almost all aspects of the bike except the one I rode had the optional raised bars which I did not care for. I actually went out and bought a 2014 chieftain the very next day.
Date published: 2019-08-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice smooth ride; very responsive Had not ridden an Indian before (I am a Harley guy), but this Chieftain was a very nice feeling, smooth riding bike. It was very quick and responsive in turns and did not feel like a "big" bide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the competition! Bought in late December. Also looked at a 2019 Harley Street Glide, but the Chieftan was better in almost every way. More refined and far more comfortable. This will not be my last Indian!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Indian Chieftain Darkhorse ride and drive I attended the test ride day at the local Indian dealership. Was very impressed with the chieftain dark horse except for the mini ape handlebars. Other than that it’s a great motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike!! Chieftain offers a great ride with a nice kick in the pants if you want it. The bike I rode had the stage 2 cams in it and when you put the bike in sport mode.... yes Sir!! Fun ride !!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Torque Did my ride on the daytona bike week and was amazed. What a torque. It is a shame that this beautiful bike cost twice as much in the Netherlands than what it cost in the USA.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loved it Demo'd the stage 3. Loved this big. Sadly it had apes and I hated them. I plan to test ride stock dark horse in the future as well as some other brands in the same class.

2019 Indian Roadmaster Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1112.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from This bike has its ups and downs My wife bought this bike on my birthday for us both to enjoy. After the 500 mile break in period, I assumed all the "weird stuff" would cease to exist. As of this moment, when the bike is cold (under 15 minutes running time), it's extremely difficult to go from 1st gear into 2nd. In addition, I've had a few misfires, backfires and a few stalls along the way. In conclusion, I assumed after spending a lil over $30,000 on this bike that I/we wouldn't have these strange problems!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I have had a Goldwing trike and this is my second Indian Roadmaster trike. All I can say is "I love it." My wife feels the same way. She is entirely comfortable as a passenger. The trike handles the wind very well...and I mean high wind. A trip along the Columbia Gorge does not bother the trike one little bit. I have been on that ride on two wheels and it was a bear. The RM has plenty of torque and does not hesitate to accelerate. The new touch screen is an improvement over earlier models. The RM has all the power and conveniences you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike I've ever owned! Took delivery on 10/09/14 and accumulated just over 24,000 miles. So comfortable to ride. Lots of power, nice mellow sound, no vibration and good fuel economy. I get lots of compliments and positive comments on the beauty of the styling and color. I have over a million miles on two wheels, I've owned 14 street bikes, and this is by far the best of them! My only complaint................. accessories are way too expensive!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice bike but rattles a lot I rode this bike today at a demo day and this was my first ride on an Indian. The suspension is great and the engine puts out a lot of power. However, the movable windshield would not go high enough so my head was buffeting quite a bit at speeds over 35 and the bike had a bunch of rattles. I thought it might have been the one I was riding, but the guy riding the other Roadmaster commented about the rattles on his, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2017 Roadmaster Awesome bike overall! The ride command system is fantastic and links seemlessly to my Sena system. Great stereo sound. Best touring bike on the market today IMO.
Date published: 2017-02-22
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweetest ride I ever had! I made the mistake of test riding my Roadmaster and I just had to have it! I've been riding for over 30 years and I never thought I'd need such creature comforts as heated seats, heated grips, adjustable windshield etc. Now that I have those, I love them. This is my 3rd motorcycle that has a stereo system, but it's the first that I can actually hear the stereo on the highway. Tons of power, great handling and balance, so far I can't find anything I don't like about this bike. Next riding season will tell for sure as I plan to put a lot of miles on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just better. First off hats off to the Indian Truck and Ride Now. What a nice morning and friendly information. My wife and I had a excellent long ride on the Roadmaster. I love the new touch dash. I love how you can put your phone attached to USB up on the front of the bike. I love the adjusting windshield. I find the new channeling of air onto the ride much better. All the buttons are clearer and easier to reach. Most importantly is the suspension. It is so good it is easy to overlook. I can't believe how light this big bike rides. The seat is excellent. It is not often I can't find something to criticize. If I make the decision to add a cruiser to my stable, very possible, I will go with Indian. I just love the engine. Thank you Indian.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike Indian came out with a pretty good bike. There are only a few things that I believe to need to be changed or adjusted. After having the bike for 6 months I have laid it down at least once. One thing that I have noticed is that the rear guards are not low enough so that the saddle bags do not hit the ground. Currently the saddle bag is lower than the bar. This can get to be a very expensive problem. The other thing that needs to be lowered is the floorboards. They seem to be about 2 in to high. When turning sharp corners they should be scraping before the muffler ends. Once again this could become a very expensive problem. Other that than the other features on the bike are great. Would love to have a full touch screen with navigation...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from American Soul, luxury, tradition and technology I love my 2017 black Roadmaster, It attracts the attention of many people, Harley owners are surprised by the luxury and details, many are fearful of the 111

Rated 5 out of 5 by from excellent touring motorcycle I bought this bike just before an annual trip I take with 9 other bikers. Although I've been using my 2014 Indian Vintage, we travel 3k to 6k miles and I wanted more touring features. This year we left Elkhart, IN, headed through Maine , Nova Scotia, P.E.I. and back though Quebec and Montreal to Elkhart. What a great Motorcycle. All I imagined and more. Only downside: Wish it had at least a 6 gallon fuel tank.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable ride The ride was smooth and comfortable, I only recall feeling 1 bump for the test ride. The 116 had gobs of power and a nice bark from the stage one exhaust, noticeably more than my 2017 111 powered Vintage does. The dash was almost info overload since I'm used to just a basic speedometer. The only thing I didn't like was the top heavy feeling it gave me at low speeds, and the sensation of sitting on the bike compared to my Chief Vintage which for me feels like it has a lower center of gravity and seems like you are sitting "in" the bike, not on top.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from I purchased the bike on march 5, 2016. Great looking bike. My fairing was mounted incorrectly and points to the right shoulder of the road. The front speakers are poor quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from smooth well handling bike Test rode a Roadmaster. Very nice machine. Easy clutch pull. responsive throttle. easy shifts. a bit cramped for my 6'-4" frame. well handling and neutral feeling at low speeds. No excessive engine noises or transmission clank. Driver information center provides plenty of feedback. Very cool gadgetry that will impress your friends, but will no doubt be a useless after the novelty wears off. Adjustable power windshield will be the same. eventually you'll set it and forget it, leaving it static. what would be impressive would be power lower fairing vents. the ability to open and close with the push of a button while on the move, weather dependent would be a more useful option. All in all a good riding, easy handling machine , albeit expensive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Two things needed I've owned my Indian Roadmaster for just over a year now. I can honestly say there are only two options that are needed. Let's face it, this motorcycle is made for the long haul, why isn't there a GPS navigation system an option for this motorcycle. Second, this beast weighs in at over 900 lbs, why doesn't it have a reverse gear? Otherwise this is a dream motorcycle. My wife loves the heated seats and the comfortable ride. There isn't enough room on this page to list the how well it rides and all the other fine features. I love my Roadmaster.
Date published: 2016-05-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from The complete package The 2019 Roadmaster comes with all the "necessities" of a full time rider. The derby, breather and all covers coming with signature Indian signatures or headdress, the chromed out switch covers, interface on the display screen, the features usually added cost came standard on the Roadmaster. It is a sweet ride and represents my second Indian purchase, my 2017 Springfield is companion in my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Motorcycle I bought my 2016 Indian Roadmaster in November of 2016, trading in my 2015 Indian Chieftain. The reason for this was to provide my wife a little more comfortable seating and more storage. We now take rides of 3 to 6 hours and she is comfortable and not fatigued at the end of a ride. For me the thing that surprised me the most was how the Roadmaster was as nimble as the Chieftain, although its a heavier bike. The 111 Thunder Stroke motor handled the additional weight of the Roadmaster without issue. While on an Iron Butt ride, on a section of high speed roadway in hilly terrain, I had to turn off the cruise control because the other bikes weren't able to maintain speed. The Thunder Stroke has power to spare and my bike is stock. Also at the end of the ride I wasn't fatigued like other riders. Congrats to Indian for putting together such a reliable, good handling, and powerful motorcycle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Head Turner!! I bought this bike in July 2015 and it has been great!! As new accesories come out, I can't help but to keep adding to it even though it is beautiful stock from the factory. I enjoy adding things to it to make it mine. I have bought a second Indian Motorcycle since this one. (A 1949 Scout) that I am having restored. Since buying this Roadmaster it has sparked my American motorcycle history bug!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice bike, with a couple of drawbacks I rented this motorcycle last month to do a SaddleSore 1000. I currently own a Kawasaki Vaquero and wanted to test ride an Indian. This motorcycle is awesome, very good handling, lots of power and really beautiful. The sound is also really good. It's a dream machine, very comfortable to ride, I spent 18 hours on it with very little discomfort. The only drawbacks I found are, the gear box was hard (you get used to it) and the heat. You don't notice so much while riding (I rode between 70-80F), but when you hit traffic, you feel like your right leg is cooking. It's really annoying and painful. For me this is a deal breaker, I live in Miami so here the weather is hot most of the year. I hope Indian will fix this issue so I can have one in the future

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Roadmaster has it all I purchased the 2016 Roadmaster in August put 2500 miles on her so far and loving it. Out of the dealer the bike had great power, high torque and handled with ease. Bike turns on a dime. The power windshield is a must have and leaves you wondering how you got by before you had one. The fairing, hard lowers and heated grips /seat has kept me comfortable down to 40 degrees so far. Upgraded to heated leather solo seat, Lloydz airbox, slip on mufflers and PC V, For deeper sound and aesthetics. I found it best to remove the lowers for local cruising when temps exceed 85 so the motor can breathe and your not feeling the heat from the catalytic converters in slow traffic, stop lights etc. Would have given 5 stars but for a few bugs, My radio was bad and had to be replaced because of Nav errors Bluetooth wouldn't work consistently, Speakers could use an upgrade, The oil breather located in the intake makes an annoying clacking sound with anything but stock air breather and it does spit out oil making your filter ugly in no time so buy a black one. Aside from those minor issues the roadmaster is an effortless luxury ride with no vibration, good wind deflection, powerful torque with plenty of accessories that you would have to buy as extras with other bikes.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sport mode.... peppy! Very smooth motor/ transmission combination.... brakes a little grabby and clutch adjusted with very little free play... snappy throttle response as a throttle by wire set-up... definitely required complete attention to technique to "handle the bike" Not a starter bike for a novice rider... sport type handling...kinda lost a little "soul" as a result... not your average V-twin....

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Piston Slap Would be legendary if not for the constant loud obnoxious piston slap which they refuse to address and the fact that their lettering falls off the bike and they're factory paint blemishes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMHO I bought a 2016 road master in May this year. Love the bike, except... Turn signal and radio controls are hard to reach and if your older and have a few miles on you it's even worse. I could never see the dash display in day light. It looked great at night. It was a big enough problem for me that I traded it in for the first 2017 Road Master at Albuquerque Indian... Huge improvement with the new radio and gauges! The Albuquerque Dealer and their staff are all first rate great people. Many thanks to Andrew and Gumby for all their help!
Date published: 2016-10-06
Rated 3 out of 5 by from some issues As stated below my bike has a surge at de-acceleration 1400-1800 rpm which the dealer says is normal. Never had this issue on any other bike. It happens in all gears. Would like to see the bike at a lower weight. The center of gravity is very good and comfort at high speed is the best I have experienced. The surge will be the reason I go to a different bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and responsive I did a Demo ride at Deadwood Grand hotel. Twice, My wife went the second day. I rode the Chieftain the first day. Nice bike I like the sport setting on this bike. If I were riding alone. This would be my choice. The second day I rode the Roadmaster with my wife. Really comfortable ride, not as snappy as the other bike even in sport mode. This bike in Touring mode really nice cruising on 385 over strawberry hill out side Deadwood. My wife like this bike, It was smooth, she felt safe in the seat and did not feel any vibrations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth, solid, classy I started out on dirt bikes as a kid, got into sport bikes for 2 decades, and converted to cruisers/tourers as I have gotten older. After my last bikes, Ducati Diavel Strata and Victory Cross Country Tour, which are both great bikes. I wanted to have one really great bike. The Indian Roadmaster is an amazing motorcycle! Smooth power and comfort for all day riding with plenty of additional features. It looks great, turns heads, sounds awesome and most importantly is a great ride every time. It handles like a bike half it's size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have done it sooner I am a decades old Harley rider and it was a tough decision to make to move to another line of motorcycle. As a daily rider I need the best weather protection that I can obtain, living in Houston where the weather can be sunny and 80 in the morning and in the 40s and raining on the ride home. Moving from one manufacturer to another there are always going to be adjustments made. The Roadmaster is a very well designed machine. Every other motorcycle that I have owned in the last thirty five years has been some derivative of red. I have received more compliments on this bike than any other brand or model that I have ridden. The Bronze/Black is a beautiful color combination. I am extremely pleased with the Roadmaster and wishing that I had made the move sooner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Bike I purchased this motorcycle in dec, after having not ridden in 30 years! I was very apprehensive in purchasing such a big bike with my experience but I was very surprised. I have about 1000 miles logged and have really started to gain my confidence in this bike and my abilities, having tested other manufacturers bikes I would have to say that my Indian Road master is much more nimble, handles better and certainly receives a lot of attention everywhere I go. I could not be any happier with my decision to purchase this Bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pure Joy I've been riding my Roadmaster for a few months now. I also have a 2015 Harley Freewheeler. They are both a great ride, but the Indian feels much more refined and less vibration. I am always wondering if there is something wrong with the Harley because of all the different clicks ticks and whining sounds. Not so with the Indian! Great Job Polaris!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Badass Thunder Blackstroke This is my second (Polaris) Indian... I put 25,000 trouble free miles on my 2014 Chief vintage.

Date published: 2016-03-09

Date published: 2016-10-05

Date published: 2016-03-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike!!! This bike is awesome. I've put 12,000 miles on my 2016 Dark Horse in less than a year, and 3,000 of those miles I put on it when I rode from Mississippi to the Grand Canyon,in Arizona. It's a very well balanced bike, and has plenty of torque. Love it!
Date published: 2016-10-05
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike this bike is awesome. the only complaint i have about the bike is I feel it falls short on power. I have been a sport bike rider for years and I am used to a fair amount of "get up and go." The scout delivers that, I just wish the dark horse did too.
Date published: 2016-03-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! Purchased august 2015 and loving it. one gripe is the red power on/off switch is to easy to accidently bump off while driving down the road, done that a few times already. One concern is the left side plastic cover under the seat is turning blue-ish.
Date published: 2016-03-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride! Upgraded to the Dark Horse from a Scout and as much as I loved my Scout this bike is a whole new level. I love everything this bike offers and it has zero to complain about. I would highly recommend this bike to new and experienced riders alike!
Date published: 2019-06-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Happy Heading into my second season, have only had a few minor issues first reason, but very happy overall. My biggest problem is the attention this thing gets, it forces me to talk to a lot of strangers every time I stop someplace for rest and quiet!
Date published: 2016-03-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice bike Best bike I ever had, smooth, powerful, comfortable, already added the round air filter in black, the stage one exhaust in chrome and 6 shooter tips in black, and black leather saddlebags,..need to come up with a locking system though for the bags.
Date published: 2016-05-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike The seat is very comfortable, Drivability is great, handles awsome, floorboards are comfortable. I am 5'4 and I can flat foot the ground at a red light. I cannot find one fault with this bike, many aftermarket parts and upgrades available
Date published: 2019-04-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Ride! Fantastic bike! Great and comfortable ride, power and suspension were where more than satisfactory. Recommended. Throttle response lags a little and then finally comes on. Exhaust would also need to be upgraded for better sound.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why Harley when you have something much much bette I test drove the soft tail. thinking this is a big bike for me to handle. I am 5'10". after enougrage myself and bought the bike. It is the best decsion on the bike ever. It handles much better, the weight is nothing. I love it!!!!!!

Date published: 2019-09-15
Date published: 2018-01-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome features I rode this bike on a demo ride at the myrtle beach spring rally. I instantly fell in love and will definitely be purchasing one as soon as possible. As a former Harley Davidson Street Glide owner it wins hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best handling motorcycle I've ever driven!!! I test drove this this morning to see the difference in performance between the 111 and the 116. I have owned a 2017 Roadmaster for 2 years and have never had any issues with the power but this bike is amazing.
Date published: 2019-09-11
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth ride Did a demo ride on Chieftain dark horse. Rode both 111 and 116 models. Prefer the 111 smooth power delivery and less vibration. You have a great product only one thing needed. Satellite radio needs to be added!
Date published: 2019-05-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It was smooth The test ride was ok. The guy was in a hurry and really did not care. I really like the look of the bike but would need to do a lot of modifcations. I guess I will stay with my Road Glide a bit longer.
Date published: 2019-03-27
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent but lacking in some areas. I have put 1000km on it so far and overall love it but lacking in the cosmetic department. Front fearing/windshield has a rattle, been there since km zero. A bit disappointing considering it’s brand new.
Date published: 2020-05-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from The bike for everyone. I purchase this bike 2 months ago. I went from a harley sporter to the indian cheiftain. My original plan was to buy a Harley street glide, but after comparing the both bikes the choice was a no brainer.
Date published: 2020-04-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid bike. Lots of electronic for the tec head. Frame very solid in turns and high speed. Braking was good. Good toque. Engine felt quite warm on the right leg but the bike was not hardly broke in and around 100f
Date published: 2018-08-27

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride 2 months ago I was wondering if it was the best deal ...now I know ...but you have to ride it, to feel the freedom ! Strong, agile, fast and comfortable this is my horse ! Thanks again Indian

The bike I rode had the stage 2 cams in it and when you put the bike in sport mode.... yes Sir!! Fun ride !!
