This article includes information on Challenger, Pursuit, Chieftain and Roadmaster models equipped with the 2017-2019 or 2020+ 7" Touchscreen Displays powered by RIDE COMMAND.
2020 and Newer Challenger, Pursuit, Chieftain and Roadmaster
Model year 2020 and newer displays feature the following buttons.

 | Press the Navigation button to access Ride Command navigation features (if equipped), find directions, and look up addresses, gas stations and other points of interest. |
 | Press the Controls button to access the Indian Badge Panel and additional settings. |
 | Press the Device Manger button to pair a phone or headset to the touchscreen display. |
 | Press the Audio button to change the audio source, adjust volume level and set radio presets. |
System Settings
The following video demonstrates how to change the settings on your model year 2020 and newer display.
To change settings, touch the center button (the Indian Motorcycle logo) on the top of the touch screen. Under the Controls panel on the left-hand side of the screen, you can adjust screen brightness. Use the brightness slider to manually adjust your screen brightness, or select AUTO and the screen will automatically adjust your screen brightness based on the amount of sunlight. To turn off the display screen, select the OFF button to the left of the brightness slider.
Depending on your bike model, other settings (including ride modes and grip heaters) can be adjusted from the same screen, below the brightness settings.
To access all settings, hit the ALL SETTINGS button in the lower-right corner of the screen.
General Settings
Under All Settings > General, you can access the following settings:
- Click DAY/NIGHT MODE to select between day and night display modes. If you set your screen to auto, the screen will adjust between display modes based on sunlight.
- Click RIDE COMMAND ACCOUNT to log in and out of your RIDE COMMAND account. You can also turn automatic ride and waypoint uploads on or off from this screen by toggling the YES/NO slider.
- Click BLUETOOTH DEVICES to manage Bluetooth® connections and devices.
In the General settings, you can change the language and choose measurement units for speed, pressure and temperature. You also can turn the low fuel navigation prompt on or off, access system information and update software and maps.
Time Settings
Click TIME to turn GPS time on or off, set your time zone, set the time and date and switch between a 12- and 24-hour clock.
Audio Settings
In the Audio Settings tab, you can adjust fade by dragging a slider between rear and front. Click on EQUALIZER to adjust the bass, mid and treble on the speakers. Select automatic volume control to allow the bike to adjust volume based on speed. From this menu you can also adjust radio settings and clear any existing radio presets.
Vehicle Settings
Turn on and off rear cylinder activation, set a passcode, check vehicle diagnostics, reset oil life and service after maintenance and turn off automatic display power down. To re-enable automatic power down, restart your bike.
Customizing the Rider Screen
The display features three customizable rider screens: map, bike information and ride information. On each of the three screens, the right side of the screen can be customized by clicking the Settings icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. From this screen, you customize your display by dragging and dropping widgets into the desired location. Click the DONE button in the upper-right corner of the screen when you are satisfied with the display screen configuration.

RIDE COMMAND+
The following video demonstrates the RIDE COMMAND+, formerly known as connected services, features on 2020 and newer Indian Motorcycle models equipped with RIDE COMMAND. It includes destination searches in navigation, map overlays and RIDE COMMAND account connection to import or export rides and waypoints.
To find directions to your desired destination, click the NAVIGATION button on the display. Click the magnifying glass icon in the bottom-right corner of the screen. In the search bar that appears, enter the address or name of your desired destination. You can also browse destinations in the following categories: gas stations, food and drink, lodging and attractions. On this screen you can access your saved rides, recent rides and more options under the MORE button. As you start typing, the system will start predicting your destination and offer destination suggestions. To see a longer list of search suggestions, click on the ellipses to the right of the suggested destinations.
On the navigation page, click the tab at the bottom center of the screen. Click on MAP LAYERS to view the available layers. By default, the traffic layer is on and the weather layer is off. Both layers can be turned on and off as you prefer by toggling the switch to the right of each layer.
Click the center CONTROLS button on the display. Select ALL SETTINGS > GENERAL. Scroll down and select RIDE COMMAND ACCOUNT. From this screen, select ACCOUNT ID and enter your RIDE COMMAND username and password. Once you have logged in, any planned rides and waypoints can be automatically transferred to your display by selecting YES on the switch below Account ID. If this setting is switched to NO, you can transfer rides and waypoints to your bike manually by clicking the NAVIGATION button, clicking the tab at the bottom center of the display screen, selecting IMPORT/EXPORT and then clicking COPY TO/FROM RIDE COMMAND. Here you can push rides from your RIDE COMMAND app to your bike and vice versa.

2017-2019 Chieftain and Roadmaster
2017-2019 displays feature the following buttons.

Display Settings
The following video demonstrates how to change the display settings.
Drag down the top button (three lines) in the middle of the display screen to access brightness settings and Bluetooth® settings. To manually set your display brightness, use the dimmer slider to set to the preferred brightness level. Check the AUTO box to allow the display brightness to adjust automatically based on lighting scenarios.
Hit the SETTINGS button in the upper-right corner of the screen to access the settings menu.
- Under SETTINGS > GENERAL, you can customize language, speed, temperature, volume and pressure units. This screen is also where you can update software and maps.
- Under SETTINGS > TIME, you can select between a 12-hour and 24-hour clock, enable GPS time or set the time manually and turn Daylight Saving Time on or off, all by tapping the corresponding buttons.
- Under SETTINGS > AUDIO, you can configure Automatic Volume Control. When Automatic Volume Control is turned on, audio levels will adjust according to the speed of the bike. You can choose from a low, medium or high setting, or turn Automatic Volume Control off. Here you can adjust the equalizer and set the bass, mid and treble frequencies using the slider on the display. Click on FADE to adjust audio concentration to either the right, left or center of the bike by moving the adjustment slider. From this settings menu, you can also clear radio presets and adjust the Radio Tuner Region.
- Under SETTINGS > VEHICLE, you can reset oil life and service intervals. Reset this timer after an oil change. If a check engine light or other diagnostic light is on, click on VEHICLE DIAGNOSTICS to see diagnostic information.
Customizing Information Displays
The following video demonstrates how to customize the information display.
Hit the RIDER SCREEN button, found on the far left side of the display, to access the rider screens.
To change between the map, ride information and bike information screens, you can use the left trigger, hard button or hotspot. You can also swipe through the screens. Select the CUSTOMIZE button in the bottom-right corner of the screen to change widgets of information displayed on the screen. This will bring up a two-column menu of screens that you can move and adjust to your preference. If a widget cannot be selected on one column, you must unselect it from the other column before moving to the desired destination. Hit the BACK button to view the newly selected data on your rider screen.
