2019 Indian Scout Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 477.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from First cruiser I've ever ridden. Rode one during a demo day and it was the first cruiser I've ever ridden, and I loved it. Comfortable position and plenty of power.
Date published: 2019-06-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good throttle response For the size of the engine, it had good throttle response. The seat was a bit tough on my tail bone, but then I am 58 an dI have a bad back, so take it with a grain of salt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike and comfortable ride! My friends had been bugging me for a year to get a bike and ride with them. I was skeptical as I felt too old to ride a bike being 63 years old. Well last month I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2019 Indian Scout 60 and I'm having a blast with it. Really comfortable and easy to handle.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a bike!! I was pleasantly surprised at the power and handling of this beautiful bike!
Date published: 2019-06-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very peppy I demo rode this at bike week and was pleased with its performance and power for such a small bike yet not intimidating for a new rider. Very light and easy to handle.
Date published: 2019-06-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great engine, wretched ergonomics The 60 handled well for a cruiser, and while it's the smallest engine, it's more than capable. I also rode a Bobber. The riding position absolutely sucked on both though=much worse on the Bobber. With your feet so far forward, all your weight is on your butt, and that saddle is atrocious. Within five minutes I wanted off. And that was the 60. On the bobber I felt like a "C" clamp. That riding position is absolutely evil. And that's too bad. It bends into corners nicely (as long as you don't lean too far . . . .), accelerates nicely, and has great brakes. It could be a great bike, but all the fabulous engineers' efforts pale behind the idiot who designed the seat and riding position. Just for background, I've put about 200K miles on various bikes since I got back into riding in 2004. I've currently got a Kawasaki W650, a Suzuki DRz-400, a BMW R75/5, a BMW R1100S, and a BMW R1150GS. Last summer I qualified for the BMW 100K mile award.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Demo on a Scout I wanted to try the Scout. I'm not a cruiser type of biker. It rode ok. Its small and low. Its not a long distance bike.
Date published: 2019-06-10
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Scout Sixty Its a nice ride smooth with ample power don't like the positioning of the foot pegs, prefer straight down also handlebars should be further back
Date published: 2019-06-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from smooth, comfy riding position Test rode this bike. Handles great, very comfy and has a nice and smooth motor. Powerful for a 900cc motor. Bike is light and easy to handle at a stop.
Date published: 2019-06-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Simple features Great first bike. I would suggest to my sister. However does not have gas gauge. Only trip odometer. So new of a bike really
Date published: 2019-06-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bike I really enjoyed this bike. Light, low seat height and plenty of power for anyone on this type of bike. Front brakes could use a little more power and lighter pull but not really any problem.
Date published: 2019-06-06
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Not geared for hilly terrain Live in north central WV and wouldn’t buy this bike. Riding this bike up mountains would require the rider to spend more time shifting from 4th to 6th and back again. Also disappointed with the lack of power it had as compared to the standard Scout. This bike would probably be good for mostly flat terrain

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike! Had a great time today at the Indian demo rides in Redlands, CA. Test rode the Scout 60: It’s a great bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an amazing ride I currently ride a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 800A. It's a great bike, but can be a rough ride at high speeds and it also is very top heavy. I didn't realize just how top heavy my bike is until I got on the Scout. Having the engine placement being so different and, I think, lower and more centered, it makes the bike super easy to handle. Turning and curves was also sooo much better; the bike was almost intuitive - whatever I thought about doing - turning, etc - the bike seemed to take my lead and just took over. The ride was so much more enjoyable, more comfortable. My front tire is a very thin tire - I didn't realize how much of a difference just a wider tire could make. The bike was easy to shift, also. It had a nice pickup from a low speed. The only thing I'd like more is a louder sound; it doesn't have to be a massively loud, but I'd feel more visible if I could be heard better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pocket Rocket I test rode this bike at the demo ride in Denton, TX. This was pound for pound the most fun and fast bike Ive ridden in years. I am astonished at this 100hp hotrod marvel of engineering. It will get your heart pumping quickly with lightening acceleration and supeeior handling. This is a must for the sportbike kids who occasionally just want to switch to mid forward controls an a more relaxed stance. You can stiill go fast jn the twisties and turns but ride all day. This is a great bike for those smaller in staure. It was fun but too small for me. I am 6ft tall' 63 years old and I was a bit cramped. I'm still more of a big cruiser guy. The women at the demo and many younger men seemed to love this. machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Premium Bike I rode this at an Indian Demo Days. It is a fantastic entry into Indian Bikes. It just exudes presence and has an awesome feel. Power is always available and the torque makes it so you dont have to constantly have to be changing gears to be in the power band. Fit and finish is amazing.
Date published: 2019-05-12
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth and stable This was a demo ride during your truck visit. Setup was great and ride was long enough to get a great ideal about the motorcycle. Gearbox was very smooth and clutch was smooth and lite but bike actually felt small. Great power for smaller engine.
Date published: 2019-05-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun ride I’ve been wanting to ride a Scout and was given the opportunity today during demo days. I enjoy my Springfield, but can’t help but wonder if I would have chosen the Scout had I ridden it first. Loved the experience!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth riding bike I was really impressed with the Scout 60. The response and comfort of the bike for my size and height were excellent. I am really short and heavy and this bike did not lag or groan under my weight. In fact I also tested a Scout as well and really preferred the 60 over the Scout. Thanks for the opportunity to ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect bike for me! I'm 48 years old and this is my first motorcycle. Being new to riding, I wanted a bike that is easy to ride, but not so feable that I'd want to buy a new bike after a month. Feels like this bike has plenty of power, at least for what I want to do. For the past few days, I've just been riding around my neighborhood and an slowly expanding my travels. I am having so much fun! When I'm not riding, I'm wishing I was riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Scout: stylish bike Great bike, strong performance especially after the break in period. Being a 2020 model, several options/upgrades are available. The service level at the Westminster, Ca store is outstanding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for. I went into the dealership to purchase an Indian Scout for myself. Unfortunately when my wife sat on it, she fell in love. The bike fit her so well that I had to purchase it for her. Now I will have to purchase another one for me to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike! I bought my scout a little over a month ago and it is all that I hoped it would be
Date published: 2020-07-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend My only regret is not buying one of these bikes any sooner. The engine is an absolute blast. It can cruise down the street comfortably, but if you grab a handful of throttle it turns into a rocket. The stock bars were fine but I enjoy my hands up a bit higher and the mini-apes did the trick just fine. The forwards took some time to get used to since my last bike had mids but that was no problem. Very nimble and stable in the corners but you will scrape peg (or boot) eventually. The only thing that has started to become a bit of a nuisance is the stock seat. These 2020's look stunning with the Indian plate in the middle of the seat, but I have the misfortune of having that rest right on my tailbone. Most people end up switching seats anyway so no biggie but that might matter to some. Rides two up comfortably so there is not much this bike won't be able to do for you. I'll be hanging onto this one for a while for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love the bike. Bought 1 month ago we love the bike it rides awesome looks really cool and retro we get to a of compliments. My only disappointment was within the first 2 weeks we had a part go out that kept the speedometer and a few other things go out. It took nearly 2 weeks plus of the bike being in the shop for the part and completion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ride on a Small Tank After I got married I sold my first bike. We had kids to raise and things to deal with. But my wife promised me I would be able to get another bike once things were settled and our mutual finances set. 24 years later that bike is an Indian Scout ABS. Jade and Thunder Black. Its a beautiful machine and it rides like a 24 year long dream. That said, I spend too much time stopping for gas. This surprised me a bit. Motorcycles get notoriously good gas mileage; but the tank on the Scout is just a little too small. Now I don't do a lot of long distance riding during the week, but on weekends I like to get out on the road. I just have to stop every 120 miles to make sure I don't run out of gas. Another gallon wouldn't have hurt her look, Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Me! My Scout was made for me! I am a re-entry rider and wanted something I could easily handle. Only did a couple modifications for better reachability. She has more power than you would think but when you need her to go, she's gone! Wonderful maneuverability and very easy to handle. I would easily purchase another one!! Only downfall is the stock pipes are too quiet for a bike that looks this good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride looks amazing I absolutely love my scout as soon as I walked into the dealership I fell in love with it and once I took it for a ride the deal was sealed it rides so smooth and it’s just a joy to be out on

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride, Great Look! The paint job caught my eye a year ago. When I found out the 2020 Scout would not have the Willow Green option, I began looking & found a new 2019. Took it for a test ride & was sold. Comfortable, responsive, and a great look, who could ask for more? Just went over 1,000 miles & still love the ride. Plus every time I stop at a light, folks pull up & tell me what a great looking bike. Love the classic styling. Indian hit a home run with the Scout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike As a short girl it’s hard to find the perfect bike, I’ve tried many. But my Scout fits me perfectly and it has the power and 6 gears so I can keep up with my fellow riders. LOVE my new bike

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Color, size and how light and peppy the bike is I've had this bike now for about 2 months, I really enjoy riding it. It is very light compared to my prior bike. The fit and finish is extremely good. I've had some great comments from strangers when i park it. Some of the things that I would change are as follows: Needs a more ergonomic and comfortable Seat. I added a Gel Pad to improve this. I believe that Indian needs to balance this bike a little more based on the additional weight of the exhaust pipe side on the right side. Also, the bike seems to over heat a little faster than my previous bike before the fan comes on to cool it down, but it finally does and that helps. The engine idle speed in neutral is a little high for my liking, but that maybe due to it being new and prior to the 800K checkup which will be in the next month or so. I'll find out about that then. But overall, I'm quite enjoying riding this bike. Can't wait till the Kuryakyn Bluetooth Speaker arrives and is installed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Such a joy! I have had my scout for a little over a month now. Put about 800+ miles on. I love my bike. Think I need the extended reach seat to be a little more comfortable on longer rides but it is a joy to ride. Every where I go people stop and admire it. They put their kids next to it and take pictures. It sure is an eye catcher.
Date published: 2020-05-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the bike, rides like a dream I've had the bike for a month now. It is a very well built machine, smooth acceleration and plenty of power. Comfortable and great handling. EFI has a light surge at constant speed, but great for most riding.
Date published: 2020-05-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for short trips I brought this scout for local and short rides. It makes a great second bike in which that’s what it is. Looks great plus I added a fairing to it with a radio plus other thing. The only negative is that it bottoms out so I plan on changing the fork springs as a start and add heavier oil. Also put a keyless ignition.
Date published: 2020-05-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the styling Smooth, balanced, and easy to ride. Great bike that gets compliments every time you stop!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fun retro ride ! I bought this two months ago and I am extremely happy with is motorcycle. Very comfortable and easy to ride with the low seat. I added the saddlebags and performance pipes. The bags are very handy and pop right off when not needed. This is just a great fun bike that gets lots of looks and thumbs up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible machine I bought this bike in March of this year and have put 600+ miles on it so far. the bike fits me like putting on a glove. It is just one amazing machine. I could not be happier with the performance and looks of the bike. I can not count the times that i have come out of a store to find that people are checking out the bike. It is a real eye catcher. The high end torque is impressive to say the least. I like the ability to put around town under 3k rpms and still be able to hop on the highway and cruise comfortably with plenty of power to spare. It's just one incredible machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 Scout I bought this bike about 6 weeks ago and have in excess of 2000 miles logged already. It is a joy to ride and handled the curves at the Back of the Dragon in excellent fashion

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Never thought I would own a cruiser ! I have had many different types and genres of motorcycles. Dirt, Adventure, Street, Dual purpose, Naked, Sport Touring etc. This is my first cruiser and I'm diggin' it. I can kick back and cruise or blast through the mountains. It handles pretty good in the twisties and high speed sweepers. Just went from Alices's Resturant to San Gregorio via Hiway 84 and high speed sweepers were a blast. The Scout holds a pretty good line at 80 on up in the big turns. Highly recommend aftermarket shocks for increased ground clearance and comfort. Got the Progressive 444 shocks, they give you about another inch of clearance. Now I'm not banging the foot pegs so much. I also have Moto Guzzi Griso and an African Twin. Another bike experience on my way to Valhalla.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike for older riders I rode when I was younger and life got in the way and stopped riding. At 59, I wondered if I still could ride and enjoy it like I did. Bought the Scout retro on a whim and can't stop riding it. Love it! Considering moving up to a Chief or a Dark Horse!

2019 Indian Scout Bobber Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 578.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It Got the bike after years of wanting one. Always looked at Harley but when I looked at Indian I think the style, look, feel, price and performance are all better than Harley. So happy I checked out Indian, the folks at Cosmos Indian in Trevose PA and I am looking forward to many years of riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its pretty smooth... So i.grew up around motorcycles, but this is my first one. After takin the MSF course I thought it would be difficult to get the hang of, but it is actually easier riding my scout bobber 60 than the honda nighthawk i took the class on. has enough power to cruise around and to hop on the highway.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is how everyone should begin The Scout Bobber Sixty has been my very first motorcycle. Many tried convincing me to start on a 250cc or the like. Luckily for me I ignored them. The Sixty is the perfect blend of power, balance, and performance. So much so I don’t see myself trading up immediately like I most certainly would on many other “entry level” motorcycles. After the initial break in period, this bike easily gets up to 80mph on the highway, loving life between 4,000 and 6,000 rpms. Liquid cooling gives this modern v twin competitive advantage over other options, such as any of the Harley Davidson Sportster models. Like most new motorcycles, it’s needs some help to be heard. Both Indian and a variety of aftermarket companies can help give the exhaust a bit more presence. The one minor drawback that comes to mind is the lack of a gas gauge. The bike gets around 120-130 miles per gallon. I usually reset my trip odometer to know about how much longer I have in fuel, a light will come on when you have about 20 miles to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable and smooth ride I’ve had this motorcycle for about 2 months now. I was worried about how low the handlebars were compared to the previous bike I was riding and that it could cause my back to become sore or perhaps my shoulders (I’m 5’4, so I def have to lean a bit forward). But in all honesty it’s so comfortable and with my 35-50 minute commute (depending on traffic) I have not one complaint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review I love the look of this bike, It fits my style so well. My main problem with this bike is there are arent many aftermarket mods made for the bike through anyone not even Indian. If they were whiling to do some more work on modifications for their bikes I would recommend 100%. Other custom shops did not help much as no one knew the ins and out of an indian. This bike is not comfortable for rides over an hour the seat is hard and the suspension is very rough. Wouldn't recommend if you are always on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from looks and run great I bought this last December but I started riding it only after all the snow melted in Minnesota. It runs great and looks really aggressive, I definitely got a lot people looking at me while riding it. It's a rare bike, I don't see a lot of Indians while out on the road. I had to change the seat to the comfort seat and put on vance and hines slip ons to make it louder, but it is a super fun bike to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2021 Scout Twenty ABS I purchased a brand new 2021 Indian Scout Bobber Twenty the first week of March 2021. Thunder Black Smoke in color. I love the bike. So easy to ride and cruise around on. Love the power and the handling. Great dealer experience as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun Ride Since I got into motorcycles, I loved the styling, nostalgia and the history of the brand. I wanted an Indian Motorcycle from the moment I started riding. Something also drew me to the brand. I learned over the years that my great grandfather owned one when he was younger. I recently learned after buying this bike that one of my grandfathers also owned one. After taking a 14 year break from riding I got back on this year. I wanted to go with a Challenger but couldn't jump right up to that level of bike right out of the gates. I started with the Bobber Sixty because of the price point and styling and love it. It's such a fun bike to ride. It is a quality bike and the styling is amazing. It gets looks everywhere I take it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to ride I bought my bike at the beginning of March. I’m still waiting on patty’s to get it modified to my “perfect” fit but love it nevertheless! I have about 700 miles on it now. I’m a shorter female and the scout Bobber gots me perfect. I bought a different seat to push me forward just slightly and will eventually have baby aps put on to help me sit up straight. I wish it wasn’t taking so long for the parts to come in but I am sure it will be well worth the wait. I am switching to a stage one this week, which will help with the noise. I think the stock pipes are pretty quiet but I don’t need to be obnoxiously loud either. I had been riding my husband’s 2020 sportster. Grew up around Harley’s, so I still love them but like I said the Scout Bobber is for me!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A fantastic cruiser ! This bike is well built and powerful. You would think the 60 c.i. engine was bigger than it is given the torque and horsepower. It is a joy to ride. Well built and very stylish. The seat is uncomfortable but the rest of the bike is a solid 10.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! Bought one with 4 miles on it. Had it about 2 months and already have 1,200 miles on it. I'm absolutely in love and being that I can put about 3 saddlebags (not from Indian) from Endscuio or something like that, a fairing that fits the bike, floorboards, 10 inch apes and practically make it a low level touring bike is absolutely amazing! Go buy one, 10,700 OTD price

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor construction I purchased new motorcycles in the past from different manufacturers and they usually pay for A 500 mile service with no cost to the customer. I’m disappointed in this product a because it was not set up correctly from the time it left the suspension on the rear end of the pipe broke very well and feel that it was poorly manufactured. Additionally the front suspension rides equally as rough. Seems to be a bottom end product. For what you’re paying for I don’t believeYou’re getting the quality behind the name.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect This is my first motorcycle. I did a lot of research before picking my Scout Bobber 60. It had everything I was looking for in a bike. Looks, power, blacked out styling, and a manageable weight. I was shocked at how well the bike handles the first time I took it out. With as much power as this bike has I can only imagine it’s big brothers sheer force. I think this is a great bike, I have to be careful as it is most definitely a bike that I wont get tired of once I’m more comfortable on two wheels. 5 stars for sure I am thrilled with my purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tough choice...Cowboy or Indian? Bought this bike used from a Native American. The fringe was a birthday gift from his mother. I haven’t ridden for over thirty years either ( BSA) and the classic look of this well built bike pulled me in. With Polaris ownership I had confidence that it was well built and would have servicing. I am taking the Motorcycle Safety Foundation course to get me mentally prepared and refresh some skills. Ready to ride the rural roads of Vermont this fall.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid bones I am 6'4". The floor boards were a little to high. To get comfortable I had to slide my foot all the way forward and it was wedged under the shifter. The factory grips look cool but felt sticky. I noticed alot of wear in the seat, I think that they need to use a different method of dying the leather the color seemed to be flaking of the seat. That being said the bike has alot of power to spare and handles well. With a few changes it would be perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I never expected this! I got “The Chief” after my bike broke down and I wanted something new. My Vintage was on the show room floor and I was amazed at the classic look of this beast. The second I sat on it and turned the throttle I was hooked and now over 8000 miles the feel of the power on this machine still makes me smile. I never expected that getting gas usually meant someone, Young and Old, would stop and take a second look and want to talk about the bike. I love the stories I hear from older generations about their first Indian and the adventures they had. This bike is like a time machine to simpler days. Balance, power, handling are all top notch. Yep! I’m a fan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2015 Vintage Custom Bought new in August, 2015 unpainted. As a Marine veteran I went with a "Dress Blue" uniform paint scheme. 8500 miles later and the bike runs and rides flawlessly..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Indian I bought my Vintage June 2017. By September I had over 8500 miles on it. I had not ridden in over 30 years when I decided to try to get back into riding. I bought my Vintage because I liked the nostalgic look and feel of it. After 30 years of not riding it took about a week to get use to it and to feel more comfortable on it. This bike continually turns heads while I’m riding. No matter, from teenagers to retired, the response is the same.....”Hey! Nice looking bike!” I went on a trip with friends from MN thru SD to WY & MT. Went thru the Big Horn Mtns and up Bear Tooth Pass and found that it handled extremely well on the 2 lane and 4 lane highways and up the switchback turns in the mountains. It was totally awesome! When we would stop in a town or small city I would have to answer questions for at least 10 minutes when people saw that it was an Indian and they would then relate their stories of when they use to ride......It was great. This was the best investment I’ve made in years......this is my stress reliever.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Style March 2016 I bought A Vintage. 31 yrs of nothing but H-D. I had read and looing longingly at the pics but what sold me was the motor. I love the fact that there is only one oil to change. No longer do I need Primary, Engine and Transmission fluids. One does it all. Then there's the Power of the Big V Twin. I have the stage 2 hop up (and will do the Stage 3 or trade in for a new model) and at Highway cruising this sled is responsive and handles better than any H-D I ever owned (Dyna/Softail/FXR/Rigid) and at low speeds its the best turning ride ever. I will never own anything but an Indian from here on. Oh yeah, Flat Track is back because Indian has made it a priority. The old saying "win on track, win on the sales floor." Do yourself a favor, test ride an Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bike! Bought my 2016 Vintage in the fall of 2016 as a birthday present to myself. Got a good deal as the dealer was trying to make room for the 2017s at the time. Only have about 5000 miles on it so far but absolutely love this bike! Looked at them at the Indian Motorcycle Booth at the Laughlin River Run for 4 years in a row and finally broke down and bought one. This bike has great power and handling, not to mention the awesome Indian look with the skirted fenders. I get positive comments from folks every time I take it out! Best purchase I ever made!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Best Motorcycle I've Ever Ridden! I've owned over 200 bikes starting in 1973. Recently I purchased a 2017 Indian Vintage, Willow Green and Cream. Not only do the stunning looks stop traffic, it is easily the BEST motorcycle I have ever ridden! She's got it all, looks, handling, and the awesome performance of the 111 Thunder Stroke. Thinking about it? Test drive one, you won't be sorry.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Can't stay off this bike! I LOVE to ride it. I bought this bike three and a half years ago. I have 35,000 miles on it. All my other bikes I averaged around 6,000 to 7,000 miles a year , but the Indian , I have been riding 10,000 miles or more each year. It's a GREAT ride!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I own a piece of motorcycle history. I bought a 2017 Indian Chief Vintage in August of 2017. I have owned 5 motorcycles in my life. I loved riding every one of them, but riding the Indian Vintage is special.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An Impressive Upgrade I upraded from my Scout to a Vintage for a bigger, more comfortable bike for 2 of us. We fell in love with the Vintage when we took the factory test ride demo at my local dealer. After that ride it was just a matter of time to finally decide. When the right bike in the right color showed up at Motorcity Indian, I pulled the trigger!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New Life in this Old Rider! I've had this bike about 6 weeks and have never enjoyed riding anything I've owned like I do this bike - smooth, balanced, easy and precise. I love this bike!
Date published: 2018-01-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Vintage style and well made Purchased the Vintage as a Christmas present to myself. Great looking and plenty of power. Not at all disappointed with the deal I received. Would have purchased an Indian some time ago had I known the details and workmanship put into this bike.
Date published: 2018-01-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Culture commands attention! I've owned my Vintage for a year and a half now and still can't wait to get home and take her out. The only problem I have is not wanting to get off. Sooo smooth and the torque screams power. My other bikes just sit now and don't even look pretty next to my Indian. The culture has been reborn and I'm proud to be part of it!

2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 351.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2016 Dark Horse Owned for over 2 years, great handling, easy to ride, if they could touch up a few items to handle noises from rattling parts, would be even better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kiwi Indian Dark horse Bought my Dark Horse in May 2016 and have loved it ever since. Everyone except my wife knew it was on order, unfortunately the day it tuned up at home i was away on business, so i received a message from my surprised wife to say "your new black baby has arrived and is safe n sound", needless to say this was not the first time a new toy had arrived without her knowledge (or will it be the last). To me Indians have always been the pinnacle of motorcycles, and this bike proves it. I have owned so many bikes over the years, but this one is a keeper. These bikes are so cool in every way Have added a pillion seat, pegs, sissy bar (for the wife, she loves it too), Rinehart mufflers (sounds awesome), Wimmer high flow air intake, mapped and tuned and more recently ape hangers. Still to come are stage 2 cams and Freedom Performance dual headers. Indians are well respected here in New Zealand due to our Kiwi legend Burt Munro (the worlds fastest Indian).

Date published: 2017-07-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth!! Test rode an Chief Dark Horse and loved it. Besides the fact it's pretty much murdered out it was smooth to ride. The throttle response was nice with out being choppy in 1st gear like my Harley was when I got it. Shifting was nice, not to much work or overly loud like some bikes. And the biggest selling point for me was the suspension. I hit a pothole every bit of six inches deep and about a foot wide, going 25 mph. I barely felt it. And on the highway that engine is a BEAST. 4th gear, 70 mph, and I could still feel I was in the power band and had 2 gears left. Again loved it, can't say enough good things about it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big bike smooth to handel I use to own a Harley Davidson Sportster that I traded in for a Victory 8 ball. That was a no brainer....my love for Victory endured through my Divorce and eventually I got rid of my previous 8 ball because of other adjustments in life that came my way. Fast forward 7 years later I started noticing the Indian brand. Nothing is as iconic as the Indian motorcycle. I took note of the Indian Dark horse, did my research and followed my gut. I visited two Indian dealerships but getting approved for a loan was difficult. Finally Music City Indian in Nashville Tennessee came through for me. I flew from NYC to Nashville. Those guys at the dealership were great. They got me on my bike and I took my maiden voyage 925 miles. She got me home and with no regrets. I missed my 8 ball but I have a new love... I encourage anyone looking to purchase an Indian to look into the Dark tribe. This Dark Horse is one ride not to be passed up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ride Ever! I would not own another bike brand. Out of all the motorcycles I have ever got on, my Dark Horse has them all beat. The overall feel of the ride is the greatest, comfort and performance included.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride Great Bike I have owned this bike for about a month. This is my second Indian after owning 4 Harley's. This Dark Horse is the most comfortable, agile bike that I have ever ridden. In all its an awesome bike
Date published: 2017-05-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable ! Ever since Indian relaunched a few years ago, I wanted one. With much sacrifice and dedication to own such a premium machine, I was able to get one a month ago. It has been worth every hour and penny invested. My Dark Horse handles like a dream, has power on tap, puts observing heads on a swivel, and has been everything I ever wanted from a motorcycle. I am on the small side, 5' 7" and worried that it might be too much bike for me. However, the riding position, balance, and control are outstanding. I have no qualms whatsoever about the length or weight of the bike. It is an ease to handle and I could not be more impressed or proud to be a member of the Indian tribe !

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Really Wanted to Like It I've been wanting to ride this bike for a few months now. Went to a demo day this past weekend and was pretty excited. However, I couldn't really find a riding position on this bike that I was completely comfortable with. For me, I have really long arms, the swept back bars caused me to have to lean back more than I liked. Maybe some straighter bars would solve that for me. On the highway I felt like I was having to grip the bars too hard to basically hold on since I was leaning back too much. In the twisties I found myself pulling myself upright and I slid my feet all the way back on the boards to feel in control but it still wasn't perfect. I also felt that the bike revved lazily and I never really felt the big motor punch I was hoping for. It was a nice bike but not really for me, which I'm sad about

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredibly Happy Hands down best cruiser I have ever ridden. More power and better handling than my previous bikes (most of them Harleys). But the styling along with fit & finish turns this bike into a work of art as well. Always looking forward to my next ride!!

2020 Indian Chieftain Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 662.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice gear set, 111 a little slow Noticed the gear set was better than my street glide. The 111 is a little underpowered. Smooth ride
Date published: 2019-06-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling and power Test ride the Chieftain 116. Don't know how Polaris did it but they made a large cruiser steer smooth, light and precise. Power was smooth in touring mode and only got sharper and more fun in the two higher modes. Stereo was not intuitive and hand grips are too large for my liking.
Date published: 2019-06-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride Great overall experience and lots of options to choose from

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride, Really Smooth and Powerful! I had the opportunity to ride a new Chieftan with the 116 engine. It was on a demo day at Coastal Indian. This bike has everything, power, style, and it was very comfortable. For me, to check off all these boxes is rare. It made such an impression on me I intend to buy one once I've paid off my Vintage, lol!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from IMPRESSED Rode the Chieftan at your Demo Days in Knoxville. I have a Road Glide and the Chieftan is a better motorcycle in every way. I was immediately comfortable doing anything I wanted to do on the bike. power, comfort, suspension, brakes, handling, slow speed maneuvers, all were superior to my Road Glide.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and sporty I've been riding naked street and adv bikes for years. I decided to take this bike for a spin and was totally impressed with it. The handling, power, ergonomics, engine and exhaust all came together for a truly enjoyable riding experience. Having the electronic adjusting windscreen and four speaker sound system let me ride around very comfortably to good tunes that could actually be heard over the sound of the wind.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Demo Ride! In my 30 or so years of riding bikes. This my first experience on a bike with a fairing. Have to say I absolutely loved it. The handling on a Indian Chieftain is also outstanding. I can see a new Indian Chieftain in my near future!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Full blown rocket Had 116 kit. Everyone who’s ever thrown a leg over a motorcycle needs to ride one of these before they die. Too much fun. Probably have it installed on my 19 Chieftain

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bike. Only dislike about the bike was I am 6"2 and felt cramped.
Date published: 2019-05-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazingly smooth and comfortable. I got to test ride this during the Indian days event. I have never ridden a cruiser before, just sport and dirtbikes. I was intimidated at the weight and size but this motorcycle is so balanced and smooth you don't notice it. The power windscreen is amazing too.
Date published: 2019-05-09
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bike is so many things!! The Chieftain could be your long haul bike, your cruiser, your hooligan, whatever! I rode one with the upgraded sound system and the stage 2 performance upgrades. Aside from the standard features that come on this bike, those two really made a difference in both performance as well as ride enjoyment (gotta love cranking some tunes with your fists in the wind!) Once we have our Scout paid off soon (another amazing bike, I might add), this is on our list to add to the garage!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth, comfortable ride ! I have a Harley Davidson road glide and after riding this Indian bike I was very impressed. Great handling and awesome power. This bike was loaded with features and very user friendly. The control and feel was very nimble and the bike felt “light” as it is well balanced
Date published: 2019-04-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Ride Handled well, good power band. I'm not a big guy, but the seat seemed narrow to me and could've used more padding.
Date published: 2019-04-24
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bike of my Dreams As a 50+ year rider, I can't rate the Chieftain high enough for comfort and amenities. Its nimble, powerful and overall rides like a much smaller bike, yet with the stability of a heavyweight.
Date published: 2019-04-20
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Demo Ride I demod the Chieftian. The bike handled great for its size. Very smooth manageable torque.
Date published: 2019-04-15
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride. It has a sports bike feel in a large package. Very controllable even at very slow speeds when turning or pulling up to stop. I can't say that about your competitors in the same class.
Date published: 2019-04-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great new features! The new rider modes are great. The engine has much better throttle response than before. The Chiefton has always been a very well balance bike, and feels easy to maneuver around a parking lot at low rpms. Now the power is right where you want it, when you want it, on the road ways. I prefer the sport mode for regular riding.
Date published: 2019-04-10

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 116 inch engine is a revelation After riding both the 111 and 116 engine versions I would only consider the 116 because of the really noticeable power upgrade

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great motor Pros: Motor (116 kit) Fit and finish of the motorcycle automatic windscreen Looks Drive modes Cons: Power Delivery - not smooth at all delivering all that power. Just didn't like the feel of the throttle. Handling not as confident as the street glide

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ride I’m a sport bike rider and thought I’d try out a cruiser. Thank you, Indian for providing that opportunity. The Chieftain is a very comfortable motorcycle. The controls are easy to understand and work. The motorcycle is easy to maneuver and handle considering the size. Overall, I thought it was a very pleasant first experience on a cruiser.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the Chieftain I test rode the Chieftain in Americade and most recently Daytona bike week. I absolutely love this motorcycle. It's easy to handle, has good torque, great radio and comfortable. I would definitely purchase a Chieftain over a Harley Street glide. Currently own 2 Ducatis and a Harley Road King and would definitely like to add an Indian one day. Thank you

Indian Springfield
Desde $21,999 Precio de venta sugerido por el fabricante en EE. UU.
2019 Indian Springfield Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 353.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good looking bike bike looks good and rides nice lots of accessories available

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ride but doesn’t make me “want it”. I demoed the Springfield at the Laughlin River Run. The ride included a very long steep incline of a couple of miles straight up the hill. This taxed my bike excessively. The suspension was a little soft, too, but it handled very well. I really liked the ergonomics. The bars, seat, and foot placement fit me great. I’m 5’8” and usually have to stretch to the bars but not on the Springfield!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Feel This is my first bike. I was a bit nervous, being a brand new rider, to buy such a large bike but it is so balanced and rides well. Having hard bags that lock are a must for a woman. I've had people ask to take pics of my bike and people pull up along side of me to tell me how much they like it. I've been riding it for about a week and have put almost 400 miles on it. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike One of the most beautiful bikes on the road. So, great suspension, smooth and plentiful power, and amazing brakes are a fabulous bonus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike The Springfield is a great ride, smooth and powerful. Easy clutch pull and engagement with positive gear shifts. Neutral is easy to locate. I love the 6 speed, 2k at 65mph is great. The bike is easy to lean over and keep on track.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful handling for a bike that size At the bike show in Scottsdale Arizona I took the Springfield for a demo ride. The bike is longer and heavier then any bike I have ever owned or ridden before. Naturally I was a little nervous. Any concerns I had disappeared before I had gone a mile down the road. I thought the bike was beautiful and stylish when I saw it but riding it was a real treat. Balanced, powerful, responsive are some of the words I would use to describe this bike. the bikes size and weigth were not an issue as I was going down the road. I was riding a stock bike and was surprised by the features on the bike. Windshield, cruise control, controls to switch between different styles of riding modes. There were a few things I would add to the bike. A bad back would prompt me to put a different seat with a backrest for the driver and the passenger. Highway pegs and lower add ons for the windshield to reduce the air turbulence as I went down the road. I loved the bike and now am interested in test driving a few more models with the intention of buying one soon. I’m interested in finding out how the other models compare to the Springfield.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Differences This bike was different from my bike in many ways. It just took a little time to get use to. An example is the clutch, the clutch engaged mid release, mine is at the end of the travel. The differences were all minor and just the differences between manufactures. By the end of the demo ride, I had adjusted to the differences. I guess you could say it has its own character.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Springfield Good lookin bike, rides nice, would prefer a higher seat height and buffeting behind the winshield is an issue at interstate speed but overall a great bike.
Date published: 2019-03-29
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing but good Everything about it was great,I'm shorter and kick stand was a little to far forward, other than that was great
Date published: 2019-03-29
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cramped riding position. Overall the Springfield handles well on the road. Good power in acceleration and braking well, ABS is nice to have. The saddlebags are roomy and I like the automatic locks. However the driving position is very cramped. Floorboards are high, makes my knees stick up way above the tank and the stock seat has me pushed forward to much. I like the handle bar grip position for my hands, very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic look, modern day quality an ergonomics. Had experience on the Chiftein before, but the Springfield pushes all the right buttons for me. I think is the most balanced product off all the line up. Hard cases no only look better than soft bags, but also adds to protection for your things when you leave the bike parked or bad weather hits you on the road. The windshield offers good wind protection, with out the added weight off the fairing, and all keeping the classic look. Is the perfect blend of look and confort!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glorious Ride on Sprinfield I’ve had my Springfield about 6 months now, put on about 4500 miles of weekend riding, and I love everything about this bike. I’ve probably also put on about $4500 in accessories hahaha but it’s worth it to make it my own. She handles like a dream and any of my buds that have ridden her agree it’s the best bike they’ve ever ridden.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Heavy Cruiser On the Market I call it a cruiser, and it definitely is, but this bike is in fact a touring machine sans fairing. Add the passenger backrest and luggage rack and you can carry what you need anywhere. I believe this is the best handling of the heavy Indians. Upgrade the engine if you want; the stock 111c.i. TS has more than enough power. And dependability.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attention Getter! Lots of comments I bought the bike from the dealer and had them install the cam kit, exhaust kit and intake for the stage 2 before I took delivery. The dealer trailer-ed the bike to my house ready to go and went through the bike operations, Very Professional and friendly. Wow it sounded tons better than the factory job and has plenty of power. Unfortunate the next week I got the engine light on and it would not go off. The dealer trailer ed it back to their shop and replace O2 Sensors and reset computer. Got it back next week Engine light went off again. They talked me through the reset and had no issues since, a.rough start. Waiting for the other shoe to drop. Hope it doesn't. I have added the driver backrest and the handle bar bag with electrical socket so I can charge my phone and I added GPS. I also added a horn medallion the dealer put a cheap chrome sticker on which looked bad in a month. At these prices the bike should have the Indian horn medallion very nice classy look! This bike loves to roll and on the highway the cruise is the best of any bike I have driven, it just eats the road and is smooth.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE LOVE LOVE MY BIKE 2018 SPRINGFIELD Better than any of my 6 previous harleys. Smother, faster, more reliable and looks way better. As far as I can see, this bike is better in every way. Only thing is, the bike should come stock with oil and air coolers. Bike runs hot and it is a must to add these 2 things so plan on it. You also want to add a leather groin cooler. Captain Itch Carrie's a nice one and is reasonably priced. Other than that, this is ONE HECK OF A GREAT BIKE.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a great riding motorcycle! 12,000 mile one year review and this is a keeper. A joy to cruise, tour and good for its size on the tight sections, too. I have owned goldwings, beemers, hogs, guzzis and Polaris left no stone unturned in designing and building this bike. I am going to run this up to 100,000 miles in the next 6 to 8 years and I know I will enjoy every mile. This bike is fully featured and with the high end finishes and performance, I have just kept it stock. Added a rack and tourpak and I'm good for touring - take off the rack, bags and shield and I have a sporty cruiser that will run well in its class. Speaking of class, the finishes and extras Indian puts on makes this a bike I dont have to troll through the accessory catalog to give it the complete look. My springfield is a winner and a good purchase for the money!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Chief That Has Almost Everything. I currently own a 2014 Indian Chief Vintage Motorcycle. I've been riding motorcycles for 45 years and consider myself somewhat of a traditionalist. I'd like to see one of your more traditional models (Chief Vintage or Chief Springfield) with a factory installed 116 c.i. engine performance kit. That would grab my attention and my wallet! I hope to see one mid-year or no later than next fall. Hey, I'm an old rider and the clock is ticking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heat I wanted to see how much heat was coming from the rear cylinder head. Too much!
Date published: 2018-11-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from I liked the torque. In any gear. Lot of fun. Good sound from the exhaust. Best part - I was repositioning myself at a stop light, leaned too far over and almost dropped it. Not sure I would be able to right it without killing me, but I did. Not sure I would have been able to do that with a Harley. Only negative was the seat heat from the motor. It wasn’t even that hot today (SWFL) and my butt was burning. Maybe circulate air over the cylinders somehow? I drove a 1973 R75/5 over there today. Those cylinder heads stick out into the wind and I think it cools them

Rated 4 out of 5 by from first cruiser ride first time riding a cruiser, expected to be very different from my current motorcycle. the main thing to notice was that the suspension is quite soft and insulates the rider from the pavement. while that may be a comfort feature for such bike, it was weird to me, having no feedback. bike had very loud aftermarket pipes which did bother me quite a bit. Not my style...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike for those that are new to big cruisers. Very nimble bike once you get accustomed to the weight. I've always ridden sport bikes and supermotos so this bagger was a whole different experience for me. Great handling, awesome ride quality, nice quiet rumble with the stock exhaust. The brakes are more than adequate, throttle response is great. However, gear shifting was a little clunky and could take getting use to. Overall this bike is the best bang-for-your buck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class. Demo days in Maine. This is the best bike I have ever ridden. Love the look of the new saddle and is comfortable for the rider...if carrying a passenger you will want a different one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was not expecting a smooth ride I went to the demo ride and right away when I saw the Indian Chieftain I just had to do It and take it for a spin. Getting on the bike I wasn’t expecting to be that well balanced I didn’t struggle and the handle bars are super smooth. I did not feel like I was forcing my body to steer the bike it handle well like a champ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride I rode the 116 version of the Chieftain Limited. Love the extra power. The height of the motorcycle has a good feel, I feel like I sit down into it, not on it. I love the adjustable height windshield, nice to be able to adjust it while riding. This one also had the upgraded stereo with the speakers in the saddlebag lids. It was nice, but not for the kind of money extra they were asking for it. Overall, if I had the cash today, it wouldn't be this model, cause I like the big classic fenders, but a Chieftain or Roadmaster would be in my garage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Experience I have a 2018 Roadmaster and was curious about the experience on the Chieftain. The ride modes are absolutely the most incredible thing that stood out. I started out in touring mode and when I switched to Sport mode was like siting on a whole different bike. The 116 was way more power and speed than I could ever imagine. If you have a need for speed, its there with all the amidities and comfort expected in an Indian dressed bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from sweet ride great changes to the look I took a test drive on one in lake George and was very happy with it. I,m holding out to buy one, to see if they make a tour pack that goes with it, and also if they change it to a 4 valve then a 2. the only thing I did not like is the heads have a cheap look to the finish, but look good in black. I road the 2019 chieftain limited.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2019 Chieftain 116 I demoed the 2019 Chieftain with a 116 kit. I was very impressed with unit. Power was much greater than my 2014 Chieftain. I like the handling at slow and high speed. Very much like the new dash and screen. Like the larger bags. Wish the 116 kit was installed at the factory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Demo days test ride Was really excited about riding this bike during the demo days. I love the styling of the new fairing, you can start to see some of the Victory DNA starting to cross over into Indian. The more modern styling is such an eyecatching feature. Hopefully we see more of the modern aspect of Victory coming into the Indian lineup. The ride was great, bike performed well, but as with the Roadmaster I had tested the day I felt somewhat cramped. The seating position is moved forward a couple of inches and so legroom and comfort isn't the same as what I have on my stock Victory Cross Roads Classic. In order to be comfortable and use the bike for touring the continent I would have to change the seat to an extended reach. Of the 3 bikes I demoed; Roadmaster, Chieftain LTD, and Springfield Dark Horse, this was the second most comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Couldn't be happier! I live overseas and have been renting Street Glides about 8 days a year for the past five years. I rented the Chieftain two weeks ago and then bought my own three days later. This bike is amazing! Handles like a smaller, more nimble bike. The torque is fantastic. My only grips are the brake peg and kickstand. I upgraded both. This is Indian all the way. For anyone thinking this is a Street Glide "knock off", go ride one. The sound, the feel, the ride. Pure pleasure. And oh yeah...finding neutral is a total breeze! This is an incredible piece of design and workmanship.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best ride in my last 3 years I have road and tested a few bikes including Harley Davidson, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and Honda. I feel that I have just had the best ride on the Indian Chieftain since riding different brands in the last 3 years. Next year I will be trading in my 2017 Kawi Vulcan for an Indian.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very Impressed I was extremely surprised and impressed not only on the ride but the easy handling of this bike. I have ridden bikes of this nature before and they were no where near as nimble as this bike nor were they this smooth. If anyone is looking at a bike of this style I would highly recommend giving this one a try.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First impression at 350 miles I bought this bike a month ago and couldn't be happier with my purchase so far. The experience started at the dealership, they made you feel like family and followed through with every commitment. Being early spring in New England I was never a fan of the cool weather riding till now, 50 degrees on a bike you love is much more enjoyable. No regrets and surprisingly I do not miss the bike I traded in for my Cheiftain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from AMAZING RIDE!! Surprisingly nimble for the size. This motorcycle is absolutely amazing!! I have been doing research for a new bike for the last 5 years, and Indian always had an intriguing style. And it has only been improving. My first bike was a 2006 Honda Shadow AERO...this machine blows that out of the water. I fully expected this bike to be cumbersome on the road and difficult to handle because of the sheer size, but boy was I wrong! It handles better than my old bike, which is considerably smaller and closer to the ground. The storage and features on this bike alone are worth the purchase, let alone the power train. I haven't been able to ride much since the purchase because of weather, but I find myself sitting in my garage just staring at it...its that beautiful!! Well done, Indian Motorcycles!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS BIKE Bought 2020 Chieftain 116 Ruby Smoke on Oct 1st 2019, been dreaming of owning one for years & finally did it. Couldn’t be happier, hate to Park it. Rides so nice & handles like a dream. I feel like I can do anything on it. If your thinking bout buying one, STOP, no more thinking, just get to your nearest dealer & bring it home. I added a Freedom Shields Windshield (14”) & a Heel Shifter (should be standard?)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Indian Chief Dark Horse Ruby Smoke Outstanding ride. Comparing it to my 2017 Chief Dark Horse is literally night and day. All the features, i.e., Nav, 3 choices of engine power modes, stereo, fairing and last but not least, the ride! The ride was much quicker, smoother and precise, not as heavy a feel, I think due to the newer steering geometry. Excellent!
Date published: 2019-10-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Ride Took a demo ride to check out the bike since looking to buy a newer bike in near future. The Indian has plenty of power. Easy to operate controls and a great look. I am 6'4 and 300Lbs so the fairing came back just a little too far for me. The mid rise bars did give the bike more of an open feel. Seat and riding position were comfortable and steering was responsive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive ride! Had some rough weather roll in while we were on the ride; Hail, heavy rain! Still I did not want the ride to end! Loved riding that bike! I have test rode the HD Street Glide and Road Glide...I am digging the Chieften Dark Horse above all!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice, better than Harley, but not my Victory I rode this bike today at a Demo site. Found the standard grips to be uncomfortable, the lack of a heel toe shifter to be annoying, and the engine vibration to unacceptable. Overall, for a tall man (6'3" 255) it fits and that is important. Much better than any of 3 Harleys I also demoed today. Yet I will keep my 2014 Victory Cross Country. Don't know why Indian who I believe has a superior product to Harley Davidson seems to be trying to make bikes more and more like them.

Indian Challenger Limited
Desde $27,999 Precio de venta sugerido por el fabricante en EE. UU.
2020 Indian Challenger Limited Thunder Black Pearl is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Touring Machine Traded my 18' Chieftain Limited (That I loved) for a 20' Challenger Limited. I really like the new bike but it's not quite perfect. Why did I trade bikes? 1. Liquid Cooled 122 hp engine is fantastic. I live in Arkansas so it's nice having the cooler motor in the warmer months. The power difference is tremendous. I had a stage 2 on the Chieftain and it just ran out of steam after 3500 rmp. Not the case with the Challenger. No need to upgrade anything from a performance perspective. 2. I'm 6'-2'' and I was always just a bit cramped on the Chieftain. The Challenger was designed for a taller rider and it fits me much better. 3.I love the new Tech with Traction Control and lean angle ABS. Safety is important! 4. iMotorsports made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Two weeks after I got the Challenger I took it on a 2600 mile road trip to the Black Hills in SD. The bike ran flawlessly. The performance, handling, and comfort were all 10 out of 10. My only issue was the new Ride Command system. It was pretty finicky and was missing some widgets from the old version that upset me. However, I just installed the new update and it not only fixed all the bugs, but it now includes Apple CarPlay which is fantastic. So an initial disappointment has actually turned into a plus. Good for Indian for getting that addressed quickly. The other feature that was helpful was the radar showing on the nav screen. Three times it helped us either avoid bad weather completely, or helped us make a decision to blast through a couple cells knowing it was clear just ahead. Finally, it was so comfortable I was able to ride 18 hrs (over 1,000 miles) straight home without ANY discomfort. I set the cruise at 92 going through SD and watched the miles fly by. The Challenger made it easy to do. FYI my fuel consumption was right at 45 mpg for the entire trip. Last year I got about 37 on my Chieftain. More power, AND better mpg, with a bigger tank was fantastic!! So are the any negatives about the bike? From my perspective these are a few cons I have with the bike. Not necessarily bad, just things I wish were a different. 1. Doesn't have the "soul" of my Chieftain. In other words, the Chieftain had a little more character to it which made me feel a little more connected to the bike. Difficult to describe, but if you ride one you'll know what I mean. The Challenger is just so smooth you lose a bit of the riding experience. To some that may be a plus. 2. Chieftain had a great sound to it with the stage 2 cams & exhaust. The Challenger...not so much. Sounds like it belongs in a library. Again, that was a plus riding 90 + for 8 hours, but I do miss the rumble of the Chieftain. Probably an easy fix with some different pipes. 3. Fit and finish not quite there yet on Indians. The paint just doesn't seem to be on par with other domestic brands. Tank seems to already have some swirl marks in it and I'm super careful how I clean it. The bags seem a little more flimsy than other brands and not as sturdy as the bags on my Chieftain. Feels like Indian took a step backwards in that area. Also the rubber gasket connecting the center piece on the tank almost looks like it's melting or has glue oozing out. Not really acceptable quality on a $28K bike. 4. Poor design (great location) of the analog gauges. Get into a little rain and the filled up and hold water. Fortunately the water stayed on the outside, but that could be improved. They fill up when you wash the bike too!! 5. There are many gaps in the front fairing that fill up with bugs. Kind of a pain constantly getting them out of there. Also the Indian logo on the front makes it difficult to wipe off the fairing because it snags your rag constantly. It looks good in the showroom but it needs to go!! So overall I'm very impressed with the Challenger, but like every bike it's not perfect. I realize it's a first year model and it just needs a few tweaks to make it almost perfect. Fixing some of the flaws is also part of the fun customizing it and making it your own. (That can just get expensive though) If your in the market for a new touring bike, you owe it to yourself to take one for a spin. There's no doubt you'll be be impressed. Hopefully this honest review will help you with your decision process. If you choose the Challenger I'm confident you'll get many smiles per mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate American made performance bagger! Just finished 5,000 miles after trip to Montana and Glacier. Performance and handling were outstanding, This bike is a dream to maneuver and is very responsive in all twist and turns, Brakes and tires help in making this bike so easy to ride in virtually all conditions. Ride command was outstanding and unlike past GPS I used this one extensively. I do wish they had a touring seat option. However, the bike was very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Challenger Limited I just came home from a 2500 mile trip through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and back home to California ridding 2 up and our gear! The Challenger was awesome and handled very well on the trip. The seat could use some improvement or I'm just getting old! Lol I also noticed that aerodynamics when hit with wind from the side there is no where for the wind to go as its all motor so hang on. I'm not disappointed at all with my purchase and I'm sure Polaris will make improvements on future Challengers. Great motorcycle and my wife loves the shock and is a extremely smooth ridding bike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I have been riding bikes since I was a kid. Started on dirt bikes and moved to street bikes as an adult. I have ridden Yamaha, Kawasaki's and most recently Harley's. I can say that the Challenger is my favorite bike I have ever ridden. I just love this bike. It is well-balanced, has awesome acceleration and the overall riding experience is second to none. I can't say enough good things, the infotainment system is great as well. I would like a little better sound but most everyone wants their own preference there so that is easily handled in aftermarket accessories. Bottom line, run, do not walk, to buy this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling Years ago I traded in my BMW 1600GTL. probably the best road bike I've ever rode. I traded it in for an Indian Road Master. Just wanted to slow down and cruise. The Road Master is a fine MC, of course didnt gave near the handling capabilities of the BMW. Took the RM in for service. Store MNGR says test drive the newest Indian. Was a I impressed left dealer with it. So reminded me of the handling capabilities of the BMW.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Performer!!! Love the power and comfort, suspension and brakes so far beyond other baggers I have rented on longer trips to test before purchase. Rear suspension in particular saves my back where other brands are ridiculously lacking travel and control, sealed the deal!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great looking bike, well engineered and fast I have been riding this bike almost 1 month. I traded my 2016 Scout, which I loved but when this bike came out, I knew I had to check it out. I have not been disappointed, just a super bike. The adjustable rear suspension, the ride is super comfortable, the engine and the transmission shifting is just smooth and sure, just a super bike, no complaints.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from New Bike Gremlins I bought the bike May 1 after careful consideration of a few Indian and “other” models. It is all that and more! That’s the problem, the “more”. We have a few electronic gremlin’s that pop up on occasion that nothing a restart of of bike hasn’t cleared up. Knowing new models of anything mechanical could have problems, I am glad I took the risk. As long as software updates are available as kinks are worked out I know things will settle down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the bike I love the bike. The power and handling make this bike the best bagger in the class. You do not need to spend a bunch of money on it to make it an awesome performer. I have a few minor electrical glitches that need taken care of, but overall the bike is fantastic. My list of issues are.. Brake lights come on after hitting a bump ( my friends challenger does this also). Chassis light comes on intermittently but does not set codes.(friends does this also) Intermittently it will not power up from the start button and I will have to use the fairing switch. Fuel gauge is slow to read full( also intermittently). Even with these issues I have no regrets buying this bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike, needs a few updates I love this bike. I have owned several motorcycles and this is one I just cannot get off of. Indian knocked it out of the park with this one . All that said I am bummed that within the first 500 miles I have had 3 check engine lights leaving me on the side of the road and then limping home. My dealership had determined the issue to be the throttle body so hopefully this fixes the issue. The other issue is the throttle lag, the software needs an update, there is a disconnect from the time you turn the throttle and when the bike reacts. Overall I think this bike is amazing and I am confident Indian will fix these issues. I honestly believe the Challenger has reset the bar as to what an American bagger should be.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great step forward Coming off a Victory Vision for the last 5 years. Also have had multiple Gold Wings plus lots of bikes outside touring category. Indian has a very strong motor. Pulls hard from bottom and doesn't die out at 4.5 thousand RPM's like most large v-twins. I ride 2 up and this Challenger is a bit more compact then the Vision and the seat isn't as comfortable. Both bikes have 6 gallon tanks but Vision got an extra 50 miles out of the tank. Sacrifices we make for the power I suppose. Outside of those areas the Challenger is a better bike everywhere else and a blast to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BIKE I bought this a month ago. I now have 2,000 miles on her. By far the funnest bike I’ve owned. Would absolutely recommend. I traded in my Harley Davidson sport glide. The engineering on this bike is incredible. Very thought out and designed well. The weight of the bike is low so it deosnt feel like a 800 lb bike. Very agile and well rounded. Seriously go test ride one what do you have to loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and comfortable to cruise. After 1,100 miles and a GPS upgrade, I am 100% confident that I made the right choice. I knew I wanted to trade in my old bike for a bagger but did not know which one. After hours of internet research and a few test rides, I chose the Challenger base model. As a former sport bike rider, I was looking for performance and also a comfortable ride over long distances and Indian nailed it with the Challenger. I have the best of both worlds, and I'm looking forward to this summer and many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The bike I've been waiting for I have been waiting for years for this bike. After I bought my 2017 Chieftain Dark Horse brand new, i fell in love with the Indian brand. I started doing 400-500 mile days no problem. So then, it was "Man, if they ever make a fix fairing, I will have to have it". Little did I know the Challenger was going to be so performance based! So not only did I get a fix fairing bagger, but I got a highly capable one, that fits my riding style. The bike is quick, handles like a dream, so much so that some of my favorite roads are no longer my favorite, they just are so effortless on this bike. Even the base model stereo is decent enough that I didn't have to upgrade it right away. The slipper clutch makes it nice and easy on my hand on all day rides. The ONLY problem I have found, is the seat is beyond severely lacking. After about 75 miles, I was sore. After about 50, my girlfriend needed stops much more frequently. It offers little to no support. I fixed this with an aftermarket seat, and all is good again. I see myself owning this bike for a long time, and putting some serious miles on. My poor Chieftain looks sad and lonely parked next to my new favorite.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike!! Purchased 02 Apr, wanted GPS upgrade but have to wait over 2 months for a modem, seems incredible at this day and age to have to wait for something that long? The Ride Command has some issues also and waiting for a software upgrade to fix again seems like others with the same issues appears to be no rush to fix and inform owners of know issues.

It has a few issues that. we are working through, Indian has been very responsive to my concerns. This is a new bike that is bound to have a few hiccups. It's all about how the manufacture deals with it. Indian has been great. I would tell anyone that is looking to pull the trigger!!!

Indian Challenger Dark Horse
Desde $27,999 Precio de venta sugerido por el fabricante en EE. UU.
2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 154.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent job Indian I bought my Indian 6 weeks ago and already logged 5,400 fun miles on her. Moved from a Road Glide CVO due to engine power, braking and suspension superiority. Power windshield and stereo clarity were bonuses though just upgraded to Powerband! Stage 1 upgrade seems to eliminate a slight mapping blip on the low end of throttle and sounds much better with the new cleaner, slip on and map. Stock sounds a little too much like a sewing machine at idle IMO. No issues at all with the ride and the only other downside for me has been a lot of gremlins in the Ride Command software. It won't play Apple Nano at all. Nor will it play my iPhone via the USB plug without seriously glitching the system. Bluetooth seems to work well but need additional power source for phone then. Rumored CarPlay functionality would be great but haven't seen any upgrades along those lines as of yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best New American Bagger I am a long time Victory guy and still own Vic’s, but had to add the Challenger to my stable knowing its heritage from Victory. Stock form this thing can perform but what we’re all really waiting for is the potential these bikes will have with cams and a tuner.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome motorcycle I’ve had my Challenger Dark Horse for two months now. I traded in my 2014 Street Glide Special on it because I’m the guy who likes to purchase the newest thing on the market. I’m happy with my purchase so far as the bike is very balanced and comfortable. I will say too though, that it doesn’t appear to have the touted hp that Indian says it does. I’ve done the stage one air cleaner and installed aftermarket slip ons. Now don’t get me wrong... she will get up and go but I don’t think she’s pushing 122 hp out the box. I do like the ergonomics and the extra do dads Indian incorporates on their bikes. Electric windshield, remote locking saddlebags, puddle light, etc... overall I’m happy with the bike, I’ll just have to work on making it faster! Lol In fact, when Indian provides a cam kit for the Power Plus motor, I’m sure I’ll be first in line! Thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely perfect bike I bought this bike brand new about 2 months ago. I ordered it with every upgrade available. It took a little while to get all the parts due to covid so completely understandable. Very powerful motorcycle that rides and handles like a dream and to top it off, it’s an eye catcher and conversation starter. “That’s an Indian? Wow, that looks amazing!” I truly love it and would recommend it to anyone looking for an exciting option for a frame mounted fairing bike other than those other guys. Battleship Cycles was incredibly easy to deal with and super laid back. No pressure at any point in time and answered all my questions thoroughly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hands down a great bike! Wow-what a bike! Yes, sorry to say I was stuck in the Harley rut. Wanting something more, I ventured outside the normal and started reading. Everything I saw about the Challenger was intriguing. Now, I can say that I’ve experienced it firsthand. Power on the bike is phenomenal. I can’t wait to get stage I on the motorcycle, squeezing a little bit more. I live in Northern California and ride the hills, and this bike hugs the corners feeling secure. The brakes are powerful and commanding with no grab. I bought the bike out of state and road home 800 miles in one day. This, to me, is the testament of how comfortable the bike is, just getting on and riding. This next weekend, off to the Pacific Coast Highway 1000 mile trip, totaling now 3000 miles. No complaints at all for the bike, if anything getting used to new controls and layout. If anyone is looking for an excellent performance bagger, you can stop right here. To sum it all up, I love my Dark Horse flat black Challenger!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall I bought my bike 2 months ago. I have put it through it’s paces, here are my thoughts. Styling is excellent! Power windscreen is awesome and effective! HP and torque are awesome, always have available power when needed!!! Handling is the best! Handles like a much smaller bike!!! Cargo room, is excellent, with plenty of space. Would actually prefer to have a removable trunk sooner than later for my companion rider. With a sweeping backrest and arm supports for her comfort. Factory exhaust note could be meatier without having to buy the $1k stage 1 exhausts to get desired exhaust note. Map overlay for weather is a big ?!!! With a downpour outside my garage it didn’t show that I was in any weather. Not sure if this is because I wasn’t moving or what. The garage door opener screen cannot be figured out. There are no steps in the 272 page manual on how to set it up. :( The horn button and radio volume button need to be swapped. You have to lift your thumb too high to hit the horn, which could be dangerous in traffic. The cruise button could be better designed and user friendly. Push to turn on is ok, set/accel/coast is ok, but resuming requires one to almost overreach to pull the button back causing de-acceleration most times. Premium care products for the matte finish should be offered. I had to go to Chemical Guys to get premium care products. A 25 1/2 saddle would better suit my 5’6” frame.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifetime Harley rider converted I wanted to buy a new bike this year. Actually I had made an agreement with myself that I would buy a new Harley this year. I actually attempted to connect with three different Harley dealers but none seemed interested in selling a bike to me. I decided to give an Indian a shot so I went to my closest dealer and rode a Chieftain. I like it but I wasn't "impressed." When I returned to the dealership I was eyeballing the Challenger and was told I could give it a drive if I liked. The dealership is right beside an on-ramp. By the time I hit second gear I was sold. This thing pulled like a freight train! I ran up to the next off-ramp, and turned around to come back to the dealership and signed papers. I will say that with the Dark-horse Challenger model the headlight is out of place!!! The bike is so sinister but the headlight, being bright and shining is so out of place. I invested in an aftermarket LED Headlight with Black reflectors to complete the look of "Darth Vader's Motorcycle." I did several upgrades starting with the factory mid-rise bars (perfect fit for my height) and the infinity pegs. I also added the backrest with luggage rack and an exhaust (factory exhaust is WAY too quiet.) The bike is perfect now!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike Traded my BMW K1600B on a new Challenger. Couldn’t be happier! The Challenger has fantastic low end power to get you out of trouble when needed and is matched by smooth cruising to boot. I am a believer in the Indian brand and now my Chieftain has a stable mate. Keep up the great work!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible bike I bought this bike a month ago, coming over to the Indian family from Being a 15 plus years Harley owner, and I can honestly say it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The bike has ample power, standard features that are optional on other platforms, and handles like a dream. So far, it has totally exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great feature, power and a very clean ride This is my first cruiser, since riding street bike, very impressed and a little ashamed it took so long to crossover. This is a bike I know I will have for years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do yourself a favor and buy a Challenger!! I have 2500 great miles on this bike and I absolutely love it. The power is spectacular. Great torque and the top end is where the fun starts. The Challenger handles great and is a joy to ride. I can’t say enough good things about this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Challenger Dark Horse I have had this bike for almost two months now, and it is everything I wanted and needed in a bike. I upgraded from a Scout Bobber, which made me nervous at first because of the size difference, but now I know that I made the right choice. I highly recommend this motorcycle.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike, love the look, the power, not the bugs I have done almost 1,000 miles with it, love the look, the balance, I added stage 1 air intake and the stage 1 slip one from Indian, changed the handlebar and now the bike is just perfect, plenty of power and comfort, but I do have issues with the ride command, between the day /night issue where it doesn't know if it's day or night and the screen is invisible in night mode during the day, and also the weather overlay map I never seen it function and got soaking wet and caught by rain which was not visible in the map as it should have been and it's advertised,

Date published: 2020-06-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It. So many good things to say. First off, love the engine and power train. Pulls from down low all the way to the top. And pulls hard. Suspension and chassis are top notch. This bike loves to lay into turns but is very stable in a straight line. Ergonomics are well thought out. All the controls and information is easy to use and see. Great platform, great bike. Keep it coming.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've got Fire & Thunder! I bought my Dark Horse at Indian Motorcycle of Springfield in Westfield, MA. It's a 2016 customized as a Bomber with stage 1 exhaust, air box and stage two cams. This follows two previous Indians and it's the best yet!! Smokin' torque, thunderous exhaust and firery Fast!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bad A$$!! The performance of the DH is unmatched. Soooo fast, and handles corners like a dream. Maintenance costs are low and easy to do yourself. Polaris/Indian have HD beat in every category.
