2019 Indian FTR 1200 Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 53.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike Great bike have been riding 20 plus years and is most comfortable one I’ve owned
Date published: 2021-06-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike I bought my FTR in April. It has a little over 1000 miles now. It's stylish and comfortable for me. I've ridden up to 250 miles in a day without feeling like I've just ridden 250 miles. I definitely recommend this bike to others and have gotten many good comments on the road.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from fail but nice i bought bike new. dealship gave me wrong one. they switched for the correct one. finally get to start up the bike after being on the road for two months. bike fails to start. have lights and full battery. have the trickle charge plug ready to plug in but find out it doesn’t seem to connect to battery. thinking battery was bad try to find replacement but couldn’t. call dealership and find out last time they looked at bike was in september. i got bike in march. after many hours googling problem came to find out polaris didn’t install the fuses very well and the fuse and relay for starter popped out. pushes in all fuses and now bike is running great. added a traction selector to bike now it’s becoming a great bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great stock , Aftermarket makes it perfect Bought this leftover base model for a great price, made it my own and fixed the known fueling and cold start issues through aftermarket. Now runs great and is a blast anywhere!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike! I had a HD Night Rod Special before buying this bike, and I didn’t like the riding angle too much, or the way it handled, and bought this bike to replace it. I’ve got to say.. It is the most comfortable bike I’ve ever been on. The riding angle is perfect, and it handles phenomenal! It keeps pressure off my knees and lower back which is a huge plus.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! I picked up this bike a week ago. Already have 200 miles on it. This is a super fun bike. I've been riding motorcycles for over 50 years and this thing makes me smile every time. Fit and finish is excellent along with a two year warranty. Can't beat that. Not a lot of aftermarket parts but hopefully the vendors will take notice. I've never had any stalling issues with my bike. It's a great machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power After getting some miles on the the biggest thing I can say is that this bike is amazing. It handles well and looks like nothing else on the road. The only downfall in my opinion is when getting into longer rides, the fuel range is a little short (120-140 miles) and the stock seat starts to create a high pressure spot on the back of the legs on the edges. Other than that the bike handles highway speeds well and I can’t wait to see how it handles at higher elevations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent all around bike. I purchased my FTR in November last year and have enjoyed every ride so far. Excellent all around bike with great power and torque and looks that get a lot of compliments. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best most modern V-twin around. I started looking at the FTR a year ago. The look and riding position are like nothing on the market.I had to get one and I am glad I did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike! 550 miles in and I’m loving it. What a beast, gorgeous design and wonderful engine. Never had so much fun on a street bike having owned everything from Kawasaki, Aprilia, and Ducati.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good ergonomic I have always like this style of motorcycle, it has a street fighter look, and room for improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It goes fast, and looks cool. I cannot describe how much I enjoy having something that goes as fast as it looks. This bike is mean, and with the right pipe on it, sounds mean. It goes fast, and looks cool. What more can I ask for from an investment :) Great compliment to my Chieftain in the garage. And its great to have a bike that stands out in a crowd of black Street Glides.
Date published: 2020-10-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fun bike This bike is an absolute blast to ride. I'm a taller rider so the handle bar set-up is comfortable for me. The power to weight ratio of this bike is perfectly dialed in. The top end torque is impressive and exhilarating. Only minor issue I've had is it struggles a bit until reaching operating temperature, sometimes misfiring. I get excited every time I pull it out of the garage for a ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I thought it would be I bought my ftr in August and have just now hit my 500 mile service. Bad weather and bad timing due to life has slowed the miles from flying by. After my service I have made a pledge to ride every chance I can. This motorcycle is a torque monster. The motor has no problem with low end as well as high end. Ample power is available at any point in time that you need it. I am very happy with my purchase. And as I said in the review title, it’s all I thought it would be... and then some. The only complaint I have is the bulky looking rear fender/license plate holder. It wasn’t a problem though. I relocated all of it under the seat and eliminated the bulky looking assembly. everything I wanted in a motorcycle the ftr 1200 has provided. It’s an awesome ride and can get the adrenaline pumping without breaking a sweat. Thank you Indian. It’s like you customized this bike just for me. Awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike ive had. Got almost 2000 miles on it. Added S&S Slip-on, bar-end mirrors, and a Corbin tidy tail. Regardless of what all the babies say.. My mapping is fine, tires are good, seat isnt too hard, and the pegs arent too slick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great New model from Indian, Fun and Sporty I bought this bike as my 2nd bike and it sure lives up to its name. It has plenty of power and acceleration, and it has a command tall seating position. Fastest Bike I have ever owned, and I have many different bikes over the years. You will be pleased my the Performance of this machine, it is good value for the money, and much better than other American make competitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets buying Enjoy riding everytime I'm on it. Has the right amount of power and control for me. It's a beautiful clean bike overall. A lot of details. This is actually my first on-road bike. Depending on the person, I wouldn't recommend to new riders with no experience. This bike can easily eat a person whole if they don't respect it nor understand the fundamentals of riding. Ftr has a range of about 120 miles per tank for me, not for long distance cruising for most. Somethings I don't like are the cold starts, it will idle rough and usually stalls engine with the stock ECU. It's a common issue that can easily be resolved. Catalytic converter and stock muffler are ugly and bulky. I would love to see more 1st/3rd party after market parts/upgrades. Should have 600-750cc variant also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exciting Motorcycle From the first, visual impression of the FTR1200, it’s an amazing machine. The styling and dirt track DNA immediately drew me in. Once the 1203cc engine fires up and the throaty rumble of the S&S exhaust graces your ear drums you quickly realize that this bike isn’t all looks, it’s even more about performance. The bike pulls hard from a start, but wakes up at speed when the motor revs above 6k. On a quick weekend trip to the mountains, I rode 255 miles on the highway to a secluded cabin. No problem. Cruise control is a blessing. Once in the mountains, I hit the back gravel roads and immediately felt like I could power slide and drift every corner. The FTR instills confidence as it is so stable and loves to go sideways. Then I hit the pavement of the windy mountain roads. With a 45 degree lean angle carving the curves at speed was a blast. For the price rang of the FTR, anyone would be hard pressed to find a better looking, more versatile bike. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bike delivers and just feels special I bought this bike at the start of spring and haven't been able to stop riding it since. The power, handling and character all combine for a thrilling but balanced ride. The style is authentic and sporty. My other poor other bikes have just been sitting now. I can't find any flaws with this bike unless I nitpick. I am happy to see Indian going a new direction and making something cool instead of just then another "crusier". This V-Twin is just superb and the bike makes you feel special. Well done Indian and I couldn't be happier with this machine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome torque!! Fueling not the greatest. Bike rips! Arm stretching torque. Cold starts are an issue, excessive surging at most rpms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastically fun I bought this as a second bike as I already own a Chieftan and wanted a fire road bike. Indian couldn't have got it more correct. I smile every time I fire up the engine and roll the throttle.
Date published: 2020-08-16
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun Bike but rough running The only 2 negatives is they run very rough at start up and die out frequently until warm. It is a very tall bike for shorter riders.

FTR S
À partir de 17 999 $ PDSF (CA)
2022 FTR S Maroon Metallic is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 101.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rides and handles expertly. Rides and handles like a sport bike with naked bike looks and riding position. Harks back to the standards of the 80's. Quick, reliable and stable at all speeds. Love it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Miles of smiles! Ever since the 2019 I have been in love with the look of the FTR. Wasn’t until YT personalities were reviewing the 2022 I realized it was time to make the jump. The bike is smooth, responsive, and sounds wonderful. In the moment I threw my leg over I felt like I was one with the bike. I would’ve really liked it if there was navigation on the control. Personally I would’ve liked the foot controls a little more centered but it’s not a dealbreaker for me. Wife and kids did sat the passenger pegs could also be a little lower. Overall I am more than happy with the Bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smile Machine I bought this a couple of months ago, it had been 20 plus years since I have owned a motorcycle. I am very impressed with the power and torque, I’m sure smaller sport bikes might be faster, but they don’t have the roll on torque. Fun machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Replacing my 2019 FTR After the test ride it was a no brainer. Big difference in bikes.
Date published: 2021-07-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun, powerful bike with great features I have had it a few months now. Really enjoy the ride. My other ride is an FZ-07. This feels like the big brother to that type of bike. Fun is the biggest feature. The handling is intuitive and there is power in ANY gear. Like most owners, I have done a few things to make it my own, but you could ride it stock and be happy with it. A couple of my minor nit-picks are that the clutch lever is not adjustable, and there is no storage at all. Not even a place to put your insurance card and registration.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very fun to ride I started looking at the ftr about 2 months before buying it and had to have it. Has great power, very nimble and looks amazing. Put about 1800 km on the bike so far and have not found anything that makes me second guess my purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ftr1200s a tiger on cocaine Rented before I bought and cannot be happier. It’s in a class all of its own and adds to the motorcycle experience
Date published: 2021-05-19
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Fun Motorcycle, but there are flaws I have had the FTR1200S Race Replica for nearly two months now and it has been a fantastic ride. It is balanced, it is powerful, it is a great handling machine. However, the issue that this machine has lies within the engine tuning. It is of course designed to be leaned out to meet emissions and also the first gen engine does have injectors in a different point within the head than the new. This does mean this machine is not hop and dash what-so-ever, which can be an issue from time to time. It wants it's time to heat up to about 140 with stock equipment to get running happy and not hiccup. Try to go earlier and it will make you pay with fueling hiccups and stalls. Although this does not hurt my perception of an exceptional machine it is something that is a bit of an over sight from the engineers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from ONE OF A KIND BIKE Love the look, except the rear fender. Wish they did something different. There is no storage at all, not even for a registration or insurance card. There is loads of power and super fun to ride. Upright position is great once I switched to the Rally bars. Great information display even in direct sunlight. Throttle a little touchy but I think there is an update for this. The tires are surprisingly grippy even on dirt or gravel roads. Can easily ride until you need gas which is usually about 100-120 miles. Slight negative on the fuel fill up but not terrible. The tank could be bigger for sure. Well balanced, wheelies easy until you become used to it. Too quiet. I needed to remove the baffles but all in all highly recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable power! I'm a old flattracker and love the street tracker look.
Date published: 2021-04-18
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Back Road Heaven I'm really enjoying this bike. I like to carve twistie back roads and this bike does it better than most (I have owned over 50 motorcycles in my life). Power is very good, particularly low end grunt pulling out of corners. It may seem a little tall to some but the little extra height and the wide bars make it a delight to ride on roads with lots of transitioning from side to side. While I know it is not a "true" flat tracker, the styling is flat track. And that styling carries some inherent behavior with it so when the road turns to gravel or dirt this bike is very comfortable. The flat-ish seat that blends into the tank makes it easy to move back and forth transferring weight from one tire to the other depending on what you are doing. I'm not a wheelie guy, but if that is your thing this bike does them easily. And when it's time to hit the slab to get from one set of twisties to the next, there is cruise control. Such a nice addition. My only issues are driven by the EPA or the DOT or some other Gov't agency. I find the exhaust to be too quiet for such a muscle bike and the mirrors don't work very well for my height and build. These are pretty minor complaints for a bike that I find just about perfect in every other aspect. It has taken a lot of years and a lot of bikes, but I may have found my perfect bike. I hope others enjoy it as much as I do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Motorcycle I finally pulled the trigger an bought the exact motorcycle I wanted! I love the seating position, and the engine pulls like a freight train at any RPM. The build quality is great with quality materials and construction used though out the bike. Initially had some cold start issues that were easily resolved with a PV3 tuner from DynoJet and Fuel Moto. I also added a S&S slip-on exhaust, and a Corbin tail tidy to move the liscense plate under the seat. The TFT digital display is great, easy to read in any light and super informative, it can also link to your phone and helmet speakers.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Almost perfect The good: The bike that needed to be made. Great power, handling and features. A joy to ride and to look at. The bad: 90 mile distance to the gas station gets old. The fueling is. Joke, needs to idle for 5 minutes until the temp gets to 160 because if not it will stall on you. It stalls several times at idle and for a Fi bike, no reason for that. My engine light came on and when I took it to the dealer they charged me 35 bucks to clear it. It came on AGAIN, but turned off on its own. I hope it doesn’t come on again. And lastly, this is my first and only bike which doesn’t have a quick key release for the seat? Why not? Now I can’t store little stuff and where do I put my insurance ID card? Oh wait, not last, I wish I had an option to remove the baffles off of the exhaust.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pulls like a freight train! Great power, handling and comfort. Ride it every chance I get.
Date published: 2021-03-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Okay I made the mistake of buying my bike in February. February in Kansas is the worst part of winter. I haven't had many chances to ride it and most of the work I have done on it is change the muffler from stock and the mirrors also. The couple of times I have been on the bike have been really nice. People take notice of it and want to talk about it.
Date published: 2021-03-17
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels Like Americana I was unsure what to make of the complaints about the cold blooded nature of this bike. Since I live in FL it wasn’t ever going to be cold enough to really matter though. I don’t mind waiting a few minutes while it warms up to start my journey. Usually start the Ftr and put on my jacket an gloves. Then I mount my phone and and ready to ride. The bike warms up pretty quickly in the 60-70 temperature. Once I’m riding the bike is a ton of fun to ride. The low end torque means you don’t have to really be precise in gear selection as the v-twin just pulls right along. Reminds you of a v-8 Mustang/Camaro. It’s not the fastest or best handling bike money can buy but I bought it to cruise around town and have fun on. I picked this Indian over the Bmw NineT because it’s just more of everything that’s fun about this type of bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great concept and performance I love the bike, installing lots of extras - which are easy to install, albeit pricey. Things I like: Touch screen (and USB port), power, styling, exhaust isn't obnoxious and it is decently comfortable for shorter rides. Things I don't like: cold starts, stock tires are a bit slick, and the comfort of the seat. I purchased the rally seat as it is slightly more comfortable, but I wouldn't go on rides over 200 miles with either seat and expect to have a non-numb booty. I am expecting Indian to provide an ECU flash to fix the cold start issue (yes, it is really an issue). Indian - please help us with this. We all would appreciate it (especially in the northern states). This is my reason for giving it 4 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride! I traded in my Ducati Monster because I loved the look of this machine. It’s nimble, very torquey and very fun. Once you’re done with the break in period, switch it to sport mode and be amazed at the power. The stock tires are a little loosely goosey in the corners. I rode it through the rain of a tropical storm, rain mode sure got its test and performed outstandingly. It turns a lot of heads and props a lot of questions. Highly recommend to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Machine I have owned Harley, Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, and many more bikes. The Indian FTR1200S is an amazing machine. The performance and handling is unbelievable. The styling gets a ton of attention and I am beyond pleased with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike Trying to get used to the height. I’m 5’ 10”. A little tall for me.
Date published: 2020-12-13
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Lot of fun but ride is jerky and throws off too mu Bought a month ago, traded in a CBR600RR so the change was pretty stark. I know it will take time to get used to the lumbering acceleration but I’m getting there. Really don’t like the intense heat thrown onto my heights during hot days, but didn’t notice as much during a cool day drive. Not sure if it’s normal but there is a cycling rhythm that’s pretty annoy, ing. Maybe it’s a loose change that will be fixed when I have the 500 mile service. Feels like the engine is missing very methodically. Lastly, no fault of the bike, it’s just slightly too tall for me and I can’t get both feet flat on the ground. Thought that wouldn’t matter but it puts a good bit of pressure on my legs when standing at stops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not your Grandpa's Indian! Test rode one at Indian Demo days event and was hooked. Bought the 1200S in Black/Grey. This is a tire smoki'n wheelie pop'in hooligan bike. 2019 Indian Scout Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 482.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE My Indian I bought this maybe 2 months ago. I never even thought i would be riding but I took the course and after day 2 I decided I would get a bike. I always liked Indians so I went straight to the source. I am really short so the one that could be adjusted to me was the Indian Scout Sixty. I have been riding since I got it and I am in love with this bike. Its perfect and powerful
Date published: 2021-09-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Beginner Motorcycle The scout 60 is one of the easiest motorcycles to rides thus making it perfect for new riders and female riders or riders with a small frame. It has plenty of power, is nimble and easy to maneuver at slow speeds. The bike is almost perfect.
Date published: 2021-09-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from surprising power & agility Scout Sixty is considered an entry level bike, that may be true, but I see no reason to "upgrade". I love the minimalist look and retro feel, & with low CG and perfect rake, it is extremely nimble and agile, but still smooth enough for long trips... plus it has the power to run with any bike I have encountered. love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect fit! I bought my Scout 60 in July. I’m 59 and I’ve been riding since I was 10 years old. I previously owned a 1200 Sportster and decided I would try an Indian. Wow!! What an amazing bike. The steering and suspension are amazing . The power brings a smile to my face. This bike is for the young and the old. There’s nothing sharper out there. I wish I would have purchased an Indian years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice bike for an old man I had a 2014 a Vintage wish I loved but it being a struggle to get in and out of the garage so I sold it and bought a this scout 60 being 300 lbs lighter it’s much easier to move around. But I gave up comfort for ease of handling. The scout is a 1 hour seat than a brake

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great at what its meant to be Own a ‘21 scout sixty and absolutely love it. It is easy to handle making it great for any level of rider. Power is great for the size. Long trips are rough on the body without significant aftermarket upgrades and passengers wont like it, period. Exhaust is weak and is laughable but some slip ons change that no problem. Overall cant ask for anything more for $9400 and its surprising you get as much as you do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike Have owned the scout 60 for a little over a month and am extremely satisfied with it. Added a tank bag, 21 inch quick release wind screen, and footboards to replace the stock pegs. Slight adjustment on the shifter to allow foot under the shifter and all was good. Excellent handling and ease of use. Power is good making throttle response and acceleration feel lively. Sound is muted but removing the baffles cured that issue. Overall look is beautiful and the accessories are available to make it your own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my scout I've had several other bikes over the years, but this one fits me perfectly. I've had trouble with center of gravity on other bikes, and being a senior, and a short one, at that, I'm so pleased with my 2021 scout. It just glides wherever I go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nearly perfect Outstanding sales rep and mechanic at Bestline in State College PA made my purchase a pleasant one. I would offer two suggestions to Indian: 1. Provide a gas gauge. Please! 2. A slightly lower first gear would be welcome. Starting out on gravel or grass often results in either overly slipping the clutch (irritating), or stalling the bike (embarrassing). The snap on one of my otherwise gorgeous tan saddle bags is not sewn properly, so that the flap does not lay flat. Not a big issue, perhaps, but for bags that cost over one thousand dollars…!?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy Handling and Fun to ride I traded in a larger bike and I am so glad that I did. The Scout Sixty is perfect for me. It has a low seat and low center of gravity. The main thing is how nimble and easy to handle it is. I also love the look of it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Impressed Moved up from a Honda Rebel and wish I had gotten something like this early. Plenty of power for any road or speed. Bike looks beautiful and gets compliments everywhere. I thought the forward controls might bother me, but I like them a lot now. Handle bars are a bit forward though, but I like the aesthetics.

I am still waiting on some accessories like saddlebags and a sissy bar. So far, I’m very pleased. I did add some slip-on exhaust as the bike was very quiet.

Scout
À partir de 14 999 $ PDSF (CA)
2019 Indian Scout Indian Motorcycle Red / Thunder Black (ABS) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1071.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent bike I bought the bike about two months ago, and have put about 1500 miles on it since purchase. It's a real pleasure to ride, plenty of power, smooth, and a head-turner. Two things Indian could do better on future models: (1) add a helmet lock; (2) add a center-stand. The former of these is easy enough to add on yourself. The latter is essential if you're going to do any serious work on the bike yourself.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love the power range. Plenty of low end torque I am happy with my purchase. I needed a lighter bike that was comfortable and this bike meets my needs. Concerns are small gas tank, lack of fork lock, no engine shut off with kick stand down. It feels a little light at highway speeds 75/80 but I anticipated this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from More than I expected! I bought this a month ago and still only have about 700 miles on it. I'm very impressed with the responsive throttle and amazing power! It handles beautifully and it is very comfortable on the day trips I take it on whenever I can. It is a perfect contrast to my Vintage!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Newbie rider loving the bike overall I'm a brand new rider and ordered this bike even before I had my license. I now have about 1,700 miles on this bike in a couple of months. I had researched it well in advance. I originally ordered a scout 60 but this one came in stock first and I went with it. So glad I did as this is not too much engine for a newbie like me. I like that I'm not hunched over like I would have been on the bobber. I do not like the stock seat or suspension. Seat is painful to me after 30 minutes and hitting any bumps is bone jarring on the spine. I'm upgrading both eventually. The stock exhaust sounds like a vacuum cleaner is running so I installed slip-ons myself. I wish all Indians came with the headdress on the tank. I removed my Indian Scout badge, went bare a bit, then added the headdress. I think the Scout is also the only bike that doesn't come with floorboards but rather just pegs. I've ordered these to upgrade. I'm annoyed that in order to change the air filter you must remove the gas tank. What a major pain that is going to be. I do wish the fuel tank was a bit bigger as I seem to have to fill up ever 120 miles or so to be safe. Overall, I love the way it rides and I've even had Harley owners stop and tell me they were thinking of switching, this bike looked cool, etc. Love the ride overall. (Tried uploading photos but no matter what I did I could not meet this site's guidelines. Too tall, too narrow, too large.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 40+ Years of riding, absolute best I've ridden! I have ridden and owned all type of bikes in my lifetime and recently had back surgery. After trying different seats and modifications to my HD Dyna I had given up riding as nothing we tried helped eliminate major pain in my back while riding. I tried the 2021 Scout and no more rough suspensions that my back can't deal with! In two months I have put almost 3 thousand miles on it. Way less expensive than Harley and way more bang for your buck. I absolutely love this bike and would recommend it to any rider, especially small women like myself. It is light, quick and handles extremely well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to ride Got this bike in August, put about 1,700 clicks on her. This bike is awesome. Fits my riding style perfect. I use it to commute to work and back. It handles so nice and the power... makes it really fun to ride. Being so low to the ground gives it extra stability which comes in handy for working your way through long lines of traffic through an intersection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2021 Indian Scout - I LOVE IT! I fell in love with the Indian Scout when I sat on it at a Toronto Motorcycle show. I bought a 2019 Indian Scout Sixty and loved it but felt like I was missing a gear so I traded it in and upgraded to a 2021 Indian Scout for the six speed transmission. Best motorcycle I've owned and I've been riding since 1981. I'm 5'2", I love the low seat height. The Scout is well balanced, handles great and is very comfortable to ride.

Still exploring the endless power. No problems yet and I am at 2000 miles in the San Diego backcountry, no freeway. I like the bike alot so far and look forward to spending at least a couple hours a day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice I love the color and the quality however this being an ICON should have had something special besides the paint job to make it stand out as a numbered bike. Also every Indian motorcycle should come with the war bonnet on the front fender, that's what makes it an Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great power and nimble So, about 500 miles gone and I am consistently amazed at the handling and power of my Scout. The power almost catches me off guard when powering out of a turn as it really pulls when the rpm’s climb. And true, it’s not a sport bike, but it handles the turns much better than any other cruiser I’ve ridden. I’ve made a few modifications to make it my own but people immediately spot it as an Indian. Silky smooth power and a great handler, what’s not to like?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experienced rider enjoying retirement I need a low center of gravity motorcycle that corners easily with the natural leaning action that comes from years of riding woods bikes and snowmobiles. The Scout is all about that. The position of the foot pegs Is perfect for my height (5’9”), and the handlebar bend works well. The Scout feels solid and sturdy on the highway, nimble and quick on back road curves, with the quick power to get me out of trouble if I need it. It’s a sweet ride!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from 2021 Indian Scout ABS I purchased a 2021 Indian Scout ABS about a month ago, and must say I absolutely hate it. It feels comfortable for 20 minutes or so, basically long enough for a test drive, then the seat becomes absolutely painful. At first I thought it was just me, so had 2 other friends try it out, and they came to the same conclusion. Not sure if it’s just the factory seat, or what, but I would not buy this bike again. Power and handling are good, but when the seat gets too painful to sit on after 20 minutes what’s the point.

Scout Bobber

2019 Indian Scout Bobber Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 603.

Date published: 2021-11-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy The wait was worth it. I was very happy to upgrade to this as my second bike. The bike looks great. The only drawback I've found so far is the seat is not very comfortable. I was able to have the seat upgraded by a local guy, which has made a ton of difference. It's a pleasure to ride. It will beat you up a bit at higher speeds, but if you want a bike without a windshield and faring, you should expect that. All in all, I'm very satisfied.
Date published: 2021-11-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from A great platform that needs some tweaks. The engine is great and it looks fantastic. The downside is that even though it is a low bike, it can be hard for shorter rider due to the very long reach for the foot controls. So a test ride is highly suggested before purchase. I would strongly suggest a better seat and upgraded rear shocks upon purchase. The bike would be far better if they came standard with a decent rear shock and a useable seat. The exhaust is also very heavy and very long. But the shocks and seat are essential upgrades for new owners. The unfortunate part is that the parts needed to make the bike useable are quite often out of stock from Indian. With that said, it does look awesome and it is very, very quick.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike! Recently purchased my bobber a couple months ago. I’m 6’3” so immediately installed raised bars. I installed aftermarket slip on exhaust because the stock pipes sound pretty weak. Also upgraded to the comfort seat because the factory saddle is awful. All in all this is a great bike! Sufficient power, and the lighter weight makes handling a breeze. Lots of modification options out there to customize it to your liking. It’s a fun bike to rip around town or the country backroads but I wouldn’t envision taking longer trips on this bike. But tot clearly isn’t made for cross-country touring so for what it’s made to do, it does it very well. I gave 5 stars for available features but just be aware there aren’t a lot of features. This bike isn’t made with flash & frill gadgets in mind but if you understand what you’re paying for and what you’re saving on, this bike will serve you VERY well. Highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprising I bought the bike is the spring, took possession in the fall. Already disappointed as the riding season had passed. I put the break in mikes on and was surprised by everything, the ride is extremely smooth, powerful, quick, and fun to scoot around on.the ergonomics are a little compact for me (6'1", 190lbs) im not use to the feet position but with a set of buddy pegs it would give the option to change riding position. The ride is somewhat rigid, but manageable, i have not tried to change settings on the rear shock. I have had neck surgery and i would like to add reduced reach handlebars. Currently, there is not much to choose from as far as accessories but i would like to add aza few things. Great bike, quick, powerful, well worth the money. I am looking forward to the next riding season.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun first time This has been my very first bike. But I have had more fun with this bike on each ride. It is super easy to maneuver at low speeds and even at faster speed I have no problem dodging pot holes. Not having a gas gauge does make me more time cautious. And my only severe flaw with this bike is I do not like the sound of the exhaust. So in the near future I will have to switch out the headlights for an LED bulb and switch the exhaust to add the extra bike sound. But I would not trade my bike for another I love riding this bike everyday

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike! I had been thinking about getting a motorcycle for a long time, and finally pulled the trigger. The Scout Bobber is an awesome bike! It's easy to ride, comfortable, and a lot of fun.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2021 Scout Bobber I bought this bike back in May 2021. Do to the current state of things it took 4 months to be delivered, however this is not the fault of the dealership or Indian. The bike was worth the wait. This is a great medium sized cruiser. The bike rides and handles very well and is easy to throw around. The throttle is very responsive and the bike has not shortage of power. The acceleration and speed on this bike definitely do not disappoint. It does well for it's intended purpose, shorter trips around town and carving backroads. Due to the slammed suspension you do feel more bumps and the highway is a bit unpleasant, but this is advertised as a "bobber" so this is to be expected. I would not hesitate the purchase if you are looking for a medium size cruiser for primarily shorter trips. Indian definitely hit it out of the park on style, I have yet to take it out without someone stopping me to compliment the bike. The bike also sounds great once you replace the factory exhaust. My only cons, which are nit picky, are that the bike does not come with an LED headlight or rear traction control or rain mode. Not a deal breaker, but other bikes in the category, like the Triumph Bonneville Bobber, have such features standard and sell for the same price as the Scout Bobber. Overall this is a great bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing motorcycle!!! I bought this motorcycle about a month ago. I love the styling, the performance and the feel!!! The ride quality is what a bobber should be, and no Harley in its class can compare in the performance category! I just took a 120 mile ride with it over the weekend, and I have no complaints!!! I don't regret a thing about this motorcycle!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I love this bike! Stepping into the local dealer a few months ago, I knew I was going to make a large purchase... but what I did not know, was that it would be an Indian. I had been riding sports bikes for 10+ years and felt like it was time to give a cruiser a try. Walking into the local shop, the Indian dealership had immediately caught my eye. The clothing, the color scheme and not to mention the small selection of beautiful bikes lined up at the entrance. It was a love at first sight experience; the clothing and colors were my style, the staff were immediately helpful and informative and the bikes themselves were masterpieces. With a little help from the salesman, I was able to build a custom bike using the very detailed Indian website; seeing the costs of accessories and a rendering of the bike itself. The most difficult part of the buying process, was waiting the few months for the bike to get delivered. But when that day came, there was no disappointment. Straight out of the box, it was the perfect fit. Tinkering around the Indian website and communities, the possibilities are endless. Finding that random washer that fits a tiny screw on the underside of the frame would be effortless with the detailed diagrams and purchase options available online. Parts and accessories are aplenty on the website and in the local dealer. Deals and coupons are constant and available. We wont mention the complements and conversations I've had just riding an Indian to anywhere I take it. I will absolutely be looking to purchase a Chief in the next year or two.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from fairly quick good looking bobber had the bike around 2 months now, comfort is exactly as you would expect from a bobber with 2 inches of rear suspension, after around 45 minutes you really start to feel it. but this bike isnt made for the long hauls. very very fun bike to ride around town/for a quick cruze, gets alot of looks and compliments, the bike keeps everything fairly basic, but responsive and well designed, overall its a very nice motorcycle and its exactly what i expected, only wish it sounded a bit more aggressive from the factory.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The happy Bobber! I ordered the bike in April 2021, received in in June. Had to get the battery replaced in September because Polaris uses a sub-par battery in their new bikes. Otherwise I'm very happy with the bike.

Date published: 2021-09-25
Rated 5 out of 5 by from A look and feel unlike anything else. I bought this because of the look and quality Indian is known for. The bike has a classic feel to it's look. When I seen it, it reminded me of a WW2 bomber's engine nacelle. It has just the right amount of chrome, a real leather seat and a finish that isn't bland or boring! I get tons of compliments. The bike is quick and responsive in all manners. It handles better than any bike I've driven. It does ride just a bit harder then I expected, long rides are a little harsh. My only real issue I have with the bike, is the availability of official accessories and the building of a bike. I'm not sure why, it costs so much more for changes to be made, especially since the bike is being built. I really wish, this could have come with the handle bars I wanted. Some how, that would have costed me way more at the time of build? Why? So I got it as is. I feel Indian missed the boat on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New adventures I never rode a road bike in my life. All I ever ridden was atvs and dirt bikes. I wanted my first road bike. So I looked at both dealers of harley and indian. I wanted a beginner bike but at the same time grow into it and the scout bobber like is what caught my eyes the most. What one me over is the affordability of owning one compared to the harley line. Plus almost everyone has a harley. So I wanted to be different from everyone else and got myself a indian. Not just indian... a scout bobber twenty. I like they way it feels even just standing still. The bike is simple and reliable.

Scout Bobber Sixty
À partir de 10 999 $ PDSF (CA)
2020 Indian Scout Bobber Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 603.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great starter bike I love this bike it has good torque and will turn heads even DH people can’t deny it’s a good looking bike….has just enough power
Date published: 2021-11-20
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun to ride The bike is just fun to ride. Very comfortable but had to change seat to the comfort seat.
Date published: 2021-11-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Bike I've owned her dog almost 2mos now and I love it. Hate that it took so long from my order to deliver date (4mos) but we'll worth the wait.

The bike is quick and responsive in all manners. It handles better than any bike I've driven. It does ride just a bit harder then I expected, long rides are a little harsh. 2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 355.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from What a Machine! The engineering on this bike is Awesome! It handles, rides and overall is Amazing!! Adding a few features and I’m looking forward the parts arriving soon to get the full feel. Got the 116ci engine and it’s Awesome but, alittle too quite for me. I’ll change that soon. Overall, the 2022 Chief Dark Horse Rocks!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not bad for a polaris. For the price i would've hope to find some premium components. Lets compare the bike i just sold, 2019 Ducati Super Sport. I'll just focus on price and components such as fully adjustable Olhins forks and rear shock along with Brembo brakes, up/down quick shifter and a seat that you could sit on for more than an hour or two and finally a flip top gas cap that matched the bike. Price? I paid about $1,500. less than my new Dark Horse. I gave you a shot Polaris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Motorcycle I’ve had the dark horse for about six weeks now I have put almost 4000 miles on it so far. It is an amazing ride. The motorcycle looks awesome and it has plenty of power…. what more could you ask for in a package?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lemon motorcycle. Bought it. Immediately had issues to what I thought was a bad fuel pump or bad battery. Had my 500 mile service done and no issues found. At 1400 miles engine codes cylinder misfire and cylinder 2 misfire, took to a dealership, nothing found. Reset codes. Rode about 40-60 miles boom, check engine light again, this time crankshaft position sensor, back to dealer, they replace sensor stated it was bad. Get bike back, rode for 40-60 miles, boom CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AGAIN!!!! cylinder misfire and cylinder 2 misfire. Dealer comes to pick it up as it's the 3rd time in a week.... Indian main office won't do anything to correct my lemon. Aside from that, the ride command does NOT work. This bike has potential, but my ol reliable the scout bobber 60 has been my clutch

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike I took ownership of my Cheif around 2 months ago and let me tell you what a great purchase it was. This bike has plenty of power and the suspension is great for a non touring type bike. I would highly recommend this bike to anyone looking for a sick cruiser

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it all I bought my 2022 Indian Chief Dark Horse in July 2021 and I couldn't be happier. The bike's performance has exceeded my expectations. It has a lot of power, its very responsive and also very nimble. It handles like a bike that weighs much less than it actually does. My only cons are that stock exhaust is embarrassing. For the price point of this motorcycle you should at least be able to hear the exhaust when you roll on the throttle. Seems like a ghetto ploy to make the exhaust upgrade a must. Also for some reason my Ride Command keeps bouncing back to the starting menu while I am riding. I am not overly concerned as I am sure its just an update that can be fixed. Other that those two items the bike has been a blast and looks very aggressive. Also be aware after market parts for the Chief are essentially none existent which I am now learning. If you plan to do some mods to your bike do some research and make sure those products are made for the Indian Chief.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb Bike -- 2022 Chief Dark Horse Received my 2022 Chief Dark Horse in early July after a 6 week wait. Beautiful bike! Was tender with it for first 500 mile break-in period. Since then have driven the bike in all kinds of situations and it has performed flawlessly. Stealth Grey is a great color that elicits many positive comments wherever I stop and even some jealous looks from H-D drivers. A very enjoyable bike to drive as its handling is superb and power unmatched. Just a super bike all around.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but not great New models are always gonna have bugs to work out. No excepting to the new Chief Dark Horse. Clutch is still engaged way out there at the end of finger tips, throttle has a latency til you're moving. Then you have good response but at low speeds you'll feel the gearing jogging in and out. Seat is getting broken in but still hard on lower back/upper butt on longer rides. Will definitely be changing that out. And lastly, rear suspension is hard. Great for cornering but be ready to get bucked around on harder bumps as you hit them straight on

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2022 Chief Dark Horse - Awesome Amazing combination of look, technology, power and ride! Also loved my last bike, an Indian Springfield, but this one is better for me personally since it's a lot lighter as a cruiser but not too light for touring if desired. Will be even better for touring once I add the numerous accessories I want. They are all backordered until late 2021, so that's the only bummer - especially since I had to pay for the accessories up front. Still 5 stars because this is primarily about the bike and the engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2022 Dark Horse I bought this 2022 Chief Dark horse about a month ago. So far I really like it. Ive put about 1400 miles on it and its been flawless. It has a lot of power and handles well. I enjoy it a lot. The headlight may need to be adjusted as its seems aimed a bit low for night time riding. The exhaust is to quiet, as all factory bikes are when you first get them. I plan to upgrade the exhaust in the future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Completely in love! I bought my bike a few months ago as someone who’d never ridden. I spent a day figuring out how to pick my feet up and rode around in first gear. Since then I’ve passed my motorcycle safety course and can’t wait to get back home from WY to LA to my bike. My only complaint so far is the seat is very uncomfortable!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent motorcycle!! The Chief Darkhorse is my first venture into the American V-twin market. I *almost* went with a model from the other big boy on the block (the orange and black gang), but the Indian appealed to me across the board - power, tech, good looks, price, and the salespeople don’t call you “dude” and “bruh” while “Born to be Wild” blares throughout the dealership. The Chief isn’t perfect, but I’m sure it’ll smooth out after it’s been out for a year or so. Pros: awesome torque that makes power no matter your rpm’s; comfortable riding position; solid gearbox; the ride command is awesome; classic, nostalgic styling; beautiful motor; quality parts throughout; infinitely customizable. Cons: the wait to get one……; the complete lack of Indian branded aftermarket parts (EVERYTHING is on back order); the grab point of the clutch lever is too far out (makes friction zone slow stuff challenging); THE RIDE COMMAND PHONE APP DOESN’T COMMUNICATE WITH THE RIDE COMMAND ON THE BIKE; the Bluetooth connection is a little wonky (phone/headset connections come and go); the factory exhaust note is weeeeaaaakkk (my wife told me it needed a new exhaust when we got home from the dealership). Overall, yes, I’d definitely buy the bike again without hesitation. I’m a little miffed it was released before the cons were ironed out, but I’m sure it’ll happen soon. When the bugs are worked out I’ll raise my score to 5 stars!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2022 Chief DH for 6' tall guy I got the DH over the DH bobber or Super Chief because i liked the rims and Jade Smoke the most. When I ordered the bike I also ordered the Stake 1&2, higher seat and forward controls. (Would have got the Super if they had the color and rims I wanted). None of the parts came in with the bike. Wont be here until August (got the bike in May) but that another issue with Indian for another time. I am 6' tall before boots. I am a bit squished feeling on the bike. I have to reach pretty far forward for the bars and the mid controls arent comfortable after a few hours. The extended reach bars and the forward controls are going to fix any problems I will have with fit. My gf is 5'3" and she has even harder time reaching the bars but loves the controls and weight (she has a '13 softail slim). The look is perfect. I get compliments everywhere I go. I cannot stop taking pictures of it . The engines..... I am a newer rider but I've ridden the HD 103ci and 1100cc VTX and 750cc Shadow. This bike is much better in turns, easier to ride and the power is AMAZING. I haven't even put it in sport mode yet. Not sure I need the stages but go bug or go home right! The GF rode the DH to compare to the Softail Slim and said the DH will be here next bike for sure. Converted another from the dark side. In summary, if you're taller get the forward controls and the extended reach bars or the Super Chief. Leaving HD in the dust, priceless!!!! *Did not the the DH Bobber with mini apes

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the right bike I have dreamed of owning a motorcycle for years. Once I saw a vintage Indian I knew I would someday own an Indian bike. I read the books and took the training classes. I got my endorsement and started shopping bikes. Finally my finances were in order and I was ready to make a purchase. The owner of my local Indian dealership took his time to show me many models and features, including a bike similar to the Chieftain I had seen all those years ago that put me on this path. After hearing me talk, and seeing what I was interested in, he guided me to the new Chief. Sitting on it felt just right. The lighter weight was a big buying point, while still being a bigger bike. I am a 300 lb guy and the smaller Scout just didn’t feel right for me. I opted for the Dark Horse for the electronics upgrades and the bigger engine. The ride modes gave me some confidence in being able to use tour mode until I was ready for a sportier shift and acceleration. The bike handles very well quickly giving me confidence taking off and making turns. For as elaborate as the electronics are, they are not confusing or distracting. I will probably open up the exhaust later for a little louder sound. The bike is clean and simple, yet grabs attention for its perfectly balanced style. I am definitely looking forward to some of the optional accessories to be available. I am still learning, as I would imagine everyone is to some degree. I couldn’t have picked a better bike for me to start this adventure on.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ride Bought my Chief from work (Indian dealership) and the assistance was GREAT! I love the power, the comfort, the looks! Great maintenance and easy to work on. I do not like that the accessories are taking to long to arrive. One thing I would improve is the design of the handle controls; The buttons are too far apart and the signal button leaves a discomfort sensation on the thumb if not wearing gloves. Overall, amazing ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike! I preordered my Chief Dark Horse in March and received it in the middle of April. I upgraded from a Harley Sportster and the two bikes aren’t even in the same universe. The Indian is superior in every detail and feature. It rides and shifts smoother, has all the features for riding long distance, and has plenty of power. The only thing I would change is a deeper more throaty exhaust. The stock exhaust is too quiet for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this bike I’m fortunate enough to of been able to ride some of everything in the few short years I’ve been riding. Indian has been gunning for HD hard the last couple years, but this bike is coming at the performance cruiser market as a whole. It’s going to take a couple years but I think the Dyna is going to be unseated as the go to platform to build off of. I’ve already done some mods to my bike and it’s an incredibly easy platform to work with. Well done with this one Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great overall cycle I love the bike. I've always liked the Vintage/Springfield styling. Haven't really got very many miles on it yet but the few minor 3 or 4 hour rides the wife and I have done it meets my expectations. Most of the Nic Picks are just me getting used to a "Heavy" bike. Well that and it's been 20 years or so since I've ridden a street bike. Never had a wind screen before so I was ready to move up to one. The electronic dash takes a little getting used to. The handle bar dash switch's are too close to the edge so every time you adjust your hands you change the readout. 45 years of driving a semi it's hard NOT to look at the tach. I also wish the speedo was farther toward the front of the tank dash assembly. I have to look down from the view to look at the speed. If Indian was to reverse the gauges so the speedo was towards the front and the two lesser used gauges closer to you I would be a happy (ier?) camper. I guess that's what aftermarket is for, the fine tuning. The ride itself is great. The graph for the air ride seems to be right on for the two of us. The ride for the wife on the back is fine. She's happy with the OEM 12" back rest. Stock pipes are a little loud she says but ok when at cruising speed. So far the stock seat is ok but we really haven't been on a long enough ride to really see how either does on the long haul. All in all I would buy it again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Phantom 1077 is a smooth operator! I went into the dealership thinking I would seriously look at and maybe purchase a Roadmaster . . . One look and ride at this beauty and I was hooked for life! Smooth ride, great center of gravity, and comfortable. A few mods to accommodate my 6' 2" frame and she is perfect!(12" Apes and the heat/cooling seat from the Roadmaster, added luggage rack for more storage for long rides). Love this bike, 2200+ miles in my first 6 weeks! Looking forward to many, many more miles to come. Highly recommend this scoot for anyone looking for a great ride with beautiful lines and the heart and soul of Indian motorcycle without too much technology, makes it a joy and easier to go ride!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Unbelievable handling! In addition to my Indian Springfield, I currently own a 1984 HD FXST (first year Softail). I have also owned a 1982 Honda VF750F, a 1979 HD FLH, a 2000 HD Roadking, and a 2006 HD VRSCR. Other riding experience includes various dirt bikes, and a week on a rented 2014 HD full dresser. With all that time on two wheels, I can attest that I am more comfortable diving deep into turns on this Springfield (just over 1000 miles in 6 weeks) than any other machine. The handling is superb! In addition, it does not feel as massive and as heavy as it is. I can literally thrown it around at normal backroad speeds (35-50 mph) as a bike weighing half as much to get around those Pennsylvania potholes. I don’t know how Indian got the frame geometry right, but it is a thing of beauty to ride this machine. With the Stage 2 installed, the torque is ample, and there is plenty of pull in the midrange for pleasure riding. I can easily keep up with my son’s Indian Challenger (also Stage 2) until he hits the horsepower at round 4000 rpm. (He’s got some 130 to my 100 hp.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first road bike - and it's an absolute winner! I just turned 56 this year and I felt it was time to achieve the longtime dream I've had of owning a road bike. I used to ride dirt bikes when I was younger, so I knew I could handle a larger bike, especially with my 6'2" frame. I also knew that the bike would be American made. I had two choices basically. A Harley, or an Indian. After checking out both lines, I just could not keep my eye off of this new 2019 (old stock) Springfield. It appealed to me more than I can explain here. I did a lot of research, through reading and watching videos, and I ultimately concluded it was the perfect fit for me. After making my purchase, I quickly learned all that was necessary to ride the bike safely, and to have fun at the same time. I have to tell you that it lived up to all of my expectations. It's not only beautiful to look at, but the power, control and overall feel are outstanding. Now on to my minor complaints. First, I was getting horrible buffeting while riding at highway speeds, especially directly into the wind. I learned that installing the small wind deflectors near the forks would eliminate this issue, and they did - completely. Honestly, these deflectors should be standard! Next, one of the screw holes for the seat mounting bolts was not fully cut, preventing the bolt from being fully screwed in. But the dealer where I had my first 500 mile checkup fixed that. I've added a lot of things to my new bike, including aftermarket pipes (which really brought out the sound of this bike), brighter LED headlight and passing lights, engine heat shield, extra LED brake light strips, and a few other things to "dress" my baby up. Needless to say, she gets a LOT of attention, especially from the HD riders! People compliment her all the time. I have to tell you that if you are a tall person and want a bagger, you just can't pass up the Indian Springfield. It's smokin' hot and riding it is like a dream come true.

I checked out Harley Davidson before a checked out Indian. After riding both brands and buying an Indian I can say that the fit, finish, accessories and handling are superb. Anyone looking for a cruiser bike, I would not hesitate to recommend this ride, it’s comfortable, great power and surprisingly nimble for it’s size.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Bike I was going to buy the Scout. Opted instead for the Springfield. Couldn't be happier was the choice. It's extremely comfortable. The locking side bags are large enough to carry everything I need and are very convenient. Removable windshield is great cause I can take it off on shorter rides and get that "complete freedom" with the wind in my face, but it also snaps on quickly for longer rides. Driving modes are awesome. Supreme power when I want that rough feeling and also easy going when I just want to cruise. Love the bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love (Almost) Everything About It My new 2020 Indian Springfield is my dream bike. It's my ideal cruiser: big engine, great sound, plenty of storage and plenty of gleaming chrome. It's been my dream bike for years and I love it. Maybe the only downside so far is that the engine isn't quite as smooth as I'd hoped. After hearing and reading about people going crazy about how smooth the engine is I was disappointed to find that my bike was the exception to the rule. Smooth overall but at certain RPMs (around 2,250 -2,350 for months, now recently changed to around 1,950-2,100 for some unknown reason) it runs very roughly and causes enough vibration to numb your foot. Oddly enough it can be felt much more on the right side than the left. I took it to the dealer and it got a clean bill of health. I seems that these are just the engine harmonics of my particular bike. I'm trying not to let it bother me but I'd be lying if I said that it doesn't. Other than that it's just about perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect versatility I originally came looking at Indian because I liked the Vintage. My wife liked the idea of a trunk and more comfy backrest for long trips. If I could have 2 bikes, I might do a Roadmaster and a Vintage, but the Springfield really covers a ton of ground, and was the best middle ground. It can be fit with the trunk, or a regular sissy bar, or quick release that and the windshield for a low mean look. I don't miss the fairing electronics, we have bluetooth in the helmets and I have a perfectly good phone mount for nav. As for the Springfield, it rides better than anything I have ridden. Plenty of power, the handling is great for the size of the bike, and the weight distribution is perfect. It really is the perfect bike for me.

Indian Springfield Dark Horse

2019 Indian Springfield Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 165.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from 800 miles on the Springfield Dark Horse I traded in 3 motorcycles for the Springfield DH. The savings from my previous insurance and payments more than covers the cost of the Springfield. I originally was looking for the new chief but by the time I added upgrades (116 engine) the cost exceeded the cost of a new Springfield. Plus I didn't have to wait for delivery, they had a Springfield on the show room floor. I imagine this big bike will take some time for most people to adjust to. I've played around with the controls and handle bar angle to get more comfortable as the reach to the handlebars is a bit long for me (I'm 5'-9"). After riding the bike for 3 weeks I am getting use to the reach but I am considering changing the handlebars. The good: Its just a great bike to ride and will bring you joy. The bike is very roomy and the large floorboards let to move around quite a bit. The bike handles really well at all speeds, U-turns are easy as long as you prepare for them by sliding forward and doing a lean forward. But like I said with proper use of the brake and clutch the bike turns very well. Been on mountain roads and have had no issue with ground clearance. The looks definitely get attention, no shortage of people calling out to me. Power is spot on I've kept it in standard mode as the sport mode isn't necessary on the torque monster. The sound and vibration of the bike is definitely good for your soul. Over all I am definitely bonding with this bike and I'm constantly looking forward to take it out for a ride. The Bad: Is a big bike and I've had to adjust to the riding position. My back was sore for the first 2 weeks. The cruise control takes some getting use to. it operates with the right thumb so the trick is keeping your throttle steady while pushing buttons with the right thumb. What made that difficult for me is the reach to the cruise control switch is at the limit of my short thumbs reach. Big bumps can bounce you. I suppose because I am reaching for the controls the rear shock seems to hit my back pretty hard on a large pothole. I think my starter switch is going bad it doesn't move when i press it start, at first i thought i was stranded but if I push the button extra hard it connects and starts. Seems like my first service issue. Expected Accessories: Maybe handlebars, even though I am getting use to the riding position. Performance air intake mostly for looks and because the original cover hits my leg. Crash bars because the bike is very expensive. Front light bar and running lights because I like the looks. A new seat because I want a leather Corbin solo seat. Oil cooler because it gets very hot where I live. Overall I really enjoy this motorcycle, it brings me joy, and I'm looking forward to some great rides and adventures with my fellow riders. Stay safe everyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Bike All in all this is a great bike. It rides nice and is pretty comfortable. The only issue I had was that the accessory cord under the headlight nacelle would not power the cigarette lighter power cord (oem) I bought and had installed. It showed voltage when hooked to a multimeter and the engine was on, but didn't power my phone or anything else. The dealer couldn't figure out the problem either. So I was ultimately out the cost of the cord and the labor to have it installed, which was kind of annoying.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2500 mile review This is my third motorcycle but my first Indian. I bought it because I wanted American made and street glides and road kings are just too tricked out for me. I love this bike. As a 6’3” 210 pound rider, the frame, seat, and floorboards are amazing for for my plus size with room to spare. I bought the front and rear highway bars but have yet to install them, but based on photos alone I know I’ll love them. The flat black paint is immaculate and there’s enough gloss in the bars and badges that if you want to get an after market sissy bar or fairing it would look good flat black or gloss. Cruise control works great and the ABS works even better, I’ve tested it under controlled and uncontrolled conditions. The water proofing on the bags works great, even in Hawaii weather when stored outdoors in my parking stall outdoors. If I could ask one thing of the bike it’s the sound, coming from a relatively custom chopper the sound is a little wimpy but not anywhere close to a small engine. Might throw some pipes on it eventually but the 2x2 exhaust is awesome otherwise. Overall, love this bike and everything about it. Very few plans to alter it from factory in the near future.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice bike, smooth transmission The bike is nice and basic. Transmission is refined and smooth as silk. Unfortunately, the handlebars have a very long reach and the seat is uncomfortable. A lot of extras needed to make it a great bike. But, it was worth it. Much better than the MotorCo.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Springfield... Not a Scout I own a Scout, a Scout Sixty and now a Springfield Dark Horse. This new SFDH is fantastic. So different than the Scout, so not sure why some try to compare. Apples & Oranges. Having said that, the SFDH has very good acceleration, especially in Sport Mode. It rides so smooth and is so comfortable at higher speeds and even in higher winds. Exhaust was a little quiet so I changed that quickly to Tab Performance. I love my Scouts, and I really love the SFDH. It's a beast, but in a very good way.

Chieftain
À partir de 26 999 $ PDSF (CA)
2020 Indian Chieftain Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 663.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Time Rider As a new motorcycle enthusiast, I jumped right in with both feet. I bought a 2020 Chieftain (116) and couldn't be happier. It is powerful, comfortable, and has all the features I need. I'm a big music guy so I love being able to listen to my favorite tunes while riding. Overall, extremely happy that I took the plunge and joined the Indian family!

But after test driving the 2021 Chieftain it was an easy decision to upgrade. The shorter wheelbase, improved handling, better seat, ride command and advanced electronics make for an amazing riding experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bike For ME!!! I waited over 20 years to get my bike. I was convinced I was going to buy a HD Street Glide. A friend told me to check out the Indian before I made the purchase. I walked in and my Baby was sitting in the middle if the showroom floor. It had the Stage 1 and Stage 2, LED headlamps and rear shifter installed. I talked to the family and bought it the next day. It was the best experience you could’ve imagined for the purchase of your first bike. I am on it every chance I can get. Everywhere I go someone stops and looks at the bike. They all think its a SG until they see the Indian and they can’t stop smiling or asking questions. Indian makes beautiful, fun to ride machines that handle like sport bikes. If you want to stand out in a crowd, BUY AN INDIAN!!!! It will be the best decision you can make and you will not second guess yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chieftain Stoped by the Indian dealer just to browse on the way to the HD dealership. Found a left over 20 Chieftain and went for a test ride. Absolutely loved it! I had already test rode the HDs and found this to be a better handling and balanced bike. The price compared to the options that came with it, made this a no brainer to me. Bought the Chieftain and haven’t looked back at all. Several of my friends are now looking to make the swap to the Indian line. The accessories are a little higher price wise, but they all seem to be high quality built to last. The dealership really made the deal also, very friendly and knowledgeable people there. Treated me like they wanted to help me find the perfect fit for me. The other brand made me feel like they were doing me a favor by talking to me. All around a great experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My first new motorcycle I bought this 2021 Indian Chieftain in February 2021. I just put 500 miles on it. This motorcycle has plenty of power and torque. Lots of extras. Radio, cruise control, adjustable windshield, I was looking at a HD before I bought this Chieftain. Harley dealer wanted to sell me a lower end street glide with no extras for $4000 more. I am so glad I ended up with this motorcycle. Best decision ever.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike. The radio has quit working a few times and currently does not work. The clip holding down the dash storage compartment broke the first week. Ergonomics could improve. Handlebars could be moved back, along with floor boards. Backrest is a must for long rides. I found the pipes drag often. I adjusted the rear shock and it still drags leaving my driveway and when cornering. Plastic side panels below the seat need better fastened. The left one blew off riding down the road. I luckily caught it when it flipped up.
Date published: 2020-11-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the bike This bike has been amazing. But that being said some features weren’t there that I was told were with my model. That was a bit frustrating. The CarPlay option is also a joke. I hope in coming months they do a better job making it available. After first service was done I get error codes almost every ride now. Check engine light, chassis fault error, battery flashing. Dealer suggests just turning it off and back on says it’s normal after first service. I’d rather no what’s causing these things to through errors but Oh well

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like some things, dont like others I traded a 2018 chieftain limited in for this 2021 chieftain dark horse. My wife bought a 2020 Springfield dark horse and my TS11 wouldn't keep up. The fairing on the 2018 did a much better job of breaking the wind than this 2021 does. I can't hear the stereo after 65mph and on the 2018 it was awesome. I used to brag to all my HD buddies that my stereo ,stock was better than theirs with all the upgrades they did. I love the motor and I love the handling but I wish I get get rid of all the wind.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great performance and tech is good too I did a test ride on street glide and Chieftain dark horse the same day and liked the chieftain way better in terms of performance snd tech is pretty much the same. Street glide had better buttons and build on the fairing components and handlebar but that is the only area where HD had one up on the chieftain which easily wins hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dreams do come true!! My wife and I have been dreaming about buying a new Indian for several years. We window shopped the dealer for fun several times while we were in Idaho falls. A few months ago I caught myself on Indians web site and came across the new dark horse chieftan. It speaks volumes of attitude and style! Everything about this bike was appealing to us. Decided to make a phone call and check it out. Long story short, we drove one home shortly after!! We are busy people, self employed for close to 40 years. This bike was well worth the wait! Everything about this bike has exceeded what we wanted out of it! Incredible power and drivability, smooth as silk ride. The whole package of this bike was engineered masterfully! Real pleasure to ride!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Darkhorse I bought my bike over a month ago. I’ve been wanting a bagger for some years now and was initially considering and Harley Street Glide. I went with the Indian Chieftain Darkhorse because people said it was so much better than the Harley. I love the look. The ride quality is great (can’t compare it to the Harley because I never road one). I put an Indian Stage One kit on it and it sounds awesome. It’s like the tune isn’t great though because it goes dead while idling sometimes. Very embarrassing and annoying. The Ride Command with Apple car play sucks. Sometimes it won’t play at all even with Bluetooth connection. I have to turn the bike on then back off for it to connect. I expected more. I’m over 35K into this bike with the upgraded audio system and the Stage One kit

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic bike! Excellent handling bike, great power, ergonomics and ride command are excellent. Just a fun bike to ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly is better in every way I traded a 2017 Road King Special with a full Stage 1 in for a 2021 Indian Chieftain Dark Horse. While I did like the RK, with the potential engine oil sumping and transmission to primary oil transfer issues, I just did not trust it. Also, I could not justify spending the amount of money that it would take to make the bike trustworthy. With that, I decided to sell it so I posted it up on crackbook. Within 15 minutes, the GM at Savannah Indian reached out to me. I took the bike to them, and with the best customer service that I have ever experienced, I rode home on my new Chieftain Dark Horse. I did have them swap the handlebars for midrise bars but other than that, it is a stock 116. My opinion of the bike? Better than the RK in every way! More power with better power delivery, better brakes with more feel, better suspension with better handling and a better ride, and a more stock features than HD is offering. The bottom line is that HD as a company forgot about customer service a long time ago. The cost of their parts and labor is ridiculous and their dependability isn't that great. Indian is not only making better machines, they are treating their customers properly. As long as they don't get full of themselves like HD, they'll have me as a customer for life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing motorcycle! Had this a little more than a month, traded in my 19 scout sixty. It's really been a goal, dream for me to own a bagger and to be honest with how hard it's been to get motorcycles this year I lucked out. Yes, it's quite a bit more in cost but the ride makes it worth it. This machine handles like a dream, has power for days and is really comfortable. My first trip was 230 miles and they were easy, enjoyable miles. The bike has a ton of features! If I were to offer Indian a suggestion it would be update the radio with ANDROID AUTO...lol please...I really don't have any cons other than that. Go test ride one and you'll see what I've been talking about. Thanks Indian for making this 51 year old man's dream come true!

I am happy with the choice I make. Lots of rider features such as GPS, TPMS, Bluetooth etc. I have put 2,000 miles on it I’m just over a month. it truly is a great bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great decision! I’ve been riding Harley’s for the last 15 years and didn’t think that would ever change, however one test ride on a Chieftain changed all that. So far very good. It’s got the power and the looks that I expect.

Chieftain Limited
À partir de 35 249 $ PDSF (CA)
2019 Indian Chieftain Limited Thunder Black Pearl is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 237.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible Bike. After owning 3 Harleys, I now own 2 real bikes. Borh a Roadmaster Limited and a Chieftan Limited. Both have better features. Ride snappier. Are more comfortable and look better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy with the motorcycle I bought my 2019 Chieftain limited new on 4th of July weekend and so far I love the bike. Never owned an Indian before, so we're working through the normal growing pains with an unfamiliar brand, but the overall look and design far outweigh small irritants. I had Rineharts and the Thunderstroke® Stage 1 Performance Air Intake and I really like the sound now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Change for the better I have been writing Harley Davidson for over 20 years and was let down buy a recent service experience so I decided to change brands and go with Indian and I am certainly happy I did. They Indian Charlotte team Amanda Shawn and Heather did an excellent job of making sure I was taken care of appropriately throughout the sales process. 1500 miles completed and look forward to many more on this bagger.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Riding in Style Very stylish and well made motorcycle. Fun to ride and comfortable. The infotainment system is fantastic, as are fit and finish. I chose the Chieftain over the Challenger because the Chieftain is much more my style. But the stock 116 is lacking. Like all V-twins it has a incredible torque. But, horsepower is a function of torque @ rpms and this delivers power only at the low end of rpm range. In fact, it's pretty much gutless after about 3500 rpms. Happily, all that torque makes it very quick for roll on power if you're rolling along at a low rpm - even in 5th. I know you're thinking "just put on a Stage II kit and all your problems are solved". It should have left the factory with a Stage II kit then. It's also long and low, which is super cool looking. But it's so long, it's not exactly nimble. And, the Dunlop E3 in the rear has broken loose on wet pavement a few times when it really shouldn't have (I hear E4s are far superior). It's strange to me too that a bike this expensive doesn't have traction assist and linked brakes. All in all, I was looking for a fantastic looking bagger for long comfortable rides that I'll have for years to come and I'm happy with it. I chose to buy a slower bike because I'm old. But if the Challenger engine was in the Chieftain frame . . .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 couch corvette This bike is comfortable, fast and smooth, I’ve ridden a lot of bikes and I feel like this chieftain is a good balance between comfort and performance, I get a lot of compliments on this bike . What can Indian do different? Not much. The rear cylinder does get warm but if you are moving and just cruising you don’t notice it that much , the hot cylinder will be welcome in the winter months. For as heavy as this bike is, it doesn’t feel like an 800 pound bagger

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2021 Chieftain Limited - Extremely Satisfied ! Had my 21 Chieftain Limited for over six weeks now and couldn't be happier. No issues what-so-ever. With just over a thousand miles on the clock this bike is everything I expected and more. And that's saying a lot as my last ride was a 2015 Goldwing. I especially like the Ride Command feature and the ability to log into my Ride Command account, create routes and easily, within seconds, download them to the bike. The 7" nav screen is great! Engine wise, there's plenty of power - couldn't be happier. The rear cylinder de-activation works great and keeps the heat away from my legs at stops and the gear spread on the six-speed trans is the best I've had. Handling is completely neutral, fit and finish is super and Polaris has done an A+ job of keeping the Indian tradition alive with the bikes styling. I'm also fortunate to have a great dealer although I wish there were more of them so they weren't so few and far between, especially for traveling cross country. That being said, I'd buy it again in a heartbeat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike I have a 2019 Chieftain Limited in Kona Brown Metallic. Beautiful bike. When I bought the bike I had the dealer install the Stage II kit along with a heal/toe shifter and the upgrade stereo system. The bike is very well balanced and corners like no other V-Twin. The transmission is extremely smooth and quiet. The air suspension is a great way to customize the bike to your load. No complaints at all. You manufacture one fine motorcycle!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles great, feels light, balances great, but... It handles great, feels light, balances great, rides smooth, looks great, and feels powerful. Overall I like it, but have a few issues with it as well. Ride command does not upload any of my ride data and vehicle information, like it should. The engine runs very hot, under your left leg and drops to single cylinder mode often, even in the cool weather that I have been riding in. Does some odd things where it does not come back down to idle every once in a while at a stop light, or stop sign, sitting there revving about 2K rpm for about 5 to 10 seconds. Along those lines, sometimes it drops down too much, and nearly dies, then continues to surge up and down at idle. It’s not very consistent. Has a lot of engine noise, where it ticks quite loudly at certain RPM’s. Dash rattles a lot at certain RPM’s as well. USB music, it always starts over from the first song, each time you start it, unless you have scuffle on. There is no option to select folders or have I figured out how to make playlists. Also, randomly drops out, or suddenly says no media, even though I am using the USB flash drive it was supplied with. Radio reception is quite terrible, where I can’t use it in my area. So, find myself needing to use Bluetooth audio as it is the most consistent. Dash gets confused if it is daytime or night, switching from black to white background. Even had it mix partially black and white once, depending on the screen you were on. Auto brightness is also an issue, where I need to override it quite often, as I can't see in in the day, or stays full brightness at night. Hopefully they can fix some of the radio issues in an update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Engineered Picked this this bike up a couple of weeks ago and it is everything I thought it was and more. The handling is awesome it really instills confidence. I can throw it around in the curves and yet it is comfortable on the freeway. I cnt wait to take it on a long haul.go on a long haul. I added a 12 in Klock works windscreen , which is perfect for me , as well a set of saddlebag crash bars and a heal shifter, which really should be standard. The after market is growing slowly so the factory accessories are expensive,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike! I bought this bike about a month ago and just hit 2000 miles. I wanted a heavier bike that I could be flatfooted on and where the weight was distributed so that I didn't have to fight it at low speeds. This bike is all that and more. It is very well balanced and handles the road beautifully. It has more than enough power. The bags are a great size for weekend trips. The RideMaster is great once you learn how to use it. I was a little disappointed that there were not more detailed instructions that came with the bike. The link between the RideMaster and computer is a little hit and miss. I've had a number of tracked rides that would not come up on my computer. The handlebars are more of a reach for smaller persons. I had to order reduced reach bars so I wasn't leaning forward so much. The other thing I really didn't like was the kickstand. For those of us with shorter legs you literally have to kick the kickstand 2-3 times to get it all the way forward so the bike is secure. I had to order a reduced reach kickstand as well. I love the keyless ignition and ability to lock my bags. And the fact that you can still start your bike should you lose your fob while out and about. I had to order the taller windshield because at highway speeds my head got whipped around by the wind but I was expecting that with the small windshield. Bottom line, this is an awesome bike. I changed 3 things on it to better fit me and by far the best bike I've ever owned!

Chieftain Elite
À partir de 42 999 $ PDSF (CA)
2020 Chieftain Elite Thunder Black Vivid Crystal/Wildfire Red Candy is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from motorcycle Is okay Motorcycle is fast, and a lot of people tell me how good it looks. The bags are deep I can care a good amount. The wind screen is very cool when someone see’s it go up and down they looks at me like I just invited fire or something lol. NOW THE BAD The electronics are bad and I mean BAD. The right switch behind the handlebars has not worked sense I bought the bike. It’s been to the shop 2 times now. (I don’t think anyone is trying to fix it.) And the screen is on the 3rd time I have asked for it to be looked at. Ride command is horrible the GPS takes me on the longest route. And from what little I have used it it does not re-direct a different route it makes you pull U-turns. and for get about apple car play you need a certain kind of Headset for the apple car play to work that was conveniently left out of the Conversation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Ride I am impressed with the progress that Indian has made over the four years and decided to take a look at the Elite. Having owned several bikes and spending thousands on accessories, the Elite offered many of the features that I usually add. Appearance: I have read concerns that the Black Hills Silver would not contrast the chrome. I must say any photo that I have seen doesn't capture the presence of this paint. When I saw it in the show room, I stood there for twenty minutes before I could turn away. The paint is stunning in the sun light. Engine: The engine is very smooth with gobs of torque. The power band is impressive, especially up to 3,000 rpm. Above 3,000 rpm the engine still pulls strongly, but not as aggressively. Transmission: Shifts are positive and clean. No loud "chunk" when you put it into gear. Controls: In 2018 the control groups were optimized. I have short thumbs and everything is much easier to reach. Ride Command: Very nice to use and fairly intuitive to find things. Response is quick at zipping through and updating the screens. Sound system: The 200 watt system is better out of the box than the competition. I can clearly hear my music even at 70 mph. The tune-able equalizer offers a lot of adjustment - very nicely done. Sounds better at highway speeds than the 300 watt systems on the competition. Handling: First thing I noticed is how easily the bike transitions off of the stand, even with a passenger on board. The center of gravity is lower and that leads me to the cornering. The Chieftain eats up the twisty roads. Driving hard into the turns is smooth with no front wheel wobble. The suspension is firm, but absorbs bumps without bottoming. Things I wish were standard on the Elite: Pinnacle hand grips, the lower fairings and more options to customize the NAV screen appearance. The Chieftain is a great bike and the Elite version is icing on the cake. I got a complement yesterday from another biker "Now that's an awesome Indian!". Yes it is and its mine.

Strongly recommend it if you can find one available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turning Heads Everywhere I Go I was talking to a friend who just bought a CVO Ultra a couple weeks ago, and I told him Indian needs to do something like this. Guess what? They did! Got the email and saw it on Facebook. I called Chuck at Falcone Powersports, and dropped the hammer. They took great care of me on my trade, and made the process easy. Thanks to Chuck, Mark, John, as well as Nick and Jim in service. You all rock. The absolutely sick paint job, useful features, and the limited number appealed to me. Picked it up Saturday and almost 500 miles later, I love this one even more than my previous Chieftain. Adding exhaust, pull back bars, and will replace the passenger backrest pad as soon as it becomes available (hint, hint, Indian). I get honks, thumbs up, and gawkers everywhere I go. Pleased with my purchase, and would recommend Indian to anyone looking for a quality. product at a decent price. The CVO Street Glide starts at $37,799 and the paint is not nearly as nice as this is, plus there will be thousands of them just like it in your area. I am an Indian rider now, and will be for the foreseeable future. Keep innovating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Bike I bought me Challenger a little more that a year ago, I am very pleased. It is exhilirating to ride, lots of fun which is the point of a motorcycle. I have two friends that fell in love with my bike and will be buying a Challenger as well (after they get back from being deployed). My only complaint is the paint, It's kinda soft and not a great finish.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine So glad I purchased this bike. 6 weeks and 3600kms later and still have the smile on my face. After break in period highly recommend sport mode. Handles like a dream and corners like it’s on rails!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible bike Have just shy of 5000 k on bike in 6 weeks. This bike is everything you are looking for in a bagger. Power to spare, great torque, incredible stereo. Handles like Ginger Rogers on a dance floor, stops like a Porsche when needed, and passes others like it too. The only thing I don't like about this bike is that I will have to put it away for winter. Makes me smile every time I ride it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike Of all the bikes I have owned over the past 30+ years this is by far the best. Could use a couple inches more leg room and the stock grips are too hard. The stock bars are a little low for my taste. All of which can be adjusted to suit your liking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Touring bike I have had this bike for a little over a month and have 1500 km on it so far. Bike has loads of power and handles better then any bike I have owned

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fantastic bike but...... Beast of a bike but I am having a few problems. Windshield was cracked from overtorque and the barrel nuts that secure the battery cover were both broken off their mounting bracket by overtorque Bikes battery won't start the bike if it sits for two days and the bike has to continuously be on a charger. Washed the bike yesterday and it wouldn't start afterwards until I put it back on the charger and it dried out then would start. Cylinder deactivation causes my bike to stall at every stop I have to keep it turned off. Idle is erratic at stops also fluctuations between 800-1000 rpm probably has something to do with cylinder deactivation not working. When you pay a premium price for a premium motorcycle you expect problems if any after thousands of miles not right out of the crate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from No CarPlay Pro’s : I’m loving the bike. The thing drives itself! Con’s: I thought for a 25k bike they’d include the CarPlay instead of charging for it.The clear coat is very thin. :(
Date published: 2021-07-21
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Motorcycle Enjoying the Challenger even with couple issues. The fit and finish is not great has some flaking of paint and easily scratches. Can't use my rear cylinder deactivation because my bike dies out accelerating at a stop sign. Other than that the power is good and handling is exceptional.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Crotch rocket This bike is a spectacular motorcycle well built great looks and power all the way to redline. This bike is a joy to ride from grabing the gears getting on the freeway to the tight floor board scrapping corners all way to the relaxing straight road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike on the market I purchased this motorcycle 7 weeks ago and already have logged 2000 miles. Incredibly smooth, balanced, fast, and comfortable. All of my Harley friends who have taken it around the block can’t believe how nice it is. Couldn’t recommend the Challenger highly enough

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike I upgraded from a 2013 Victory Cross Country and while I love that bike the Challenger is really just a completely different animal. The Challenger rides so smooth has all the power you would need and the wind management is amazing. I would definitely buy this bike again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unbiased review This is my 29th motorcycle in the past 23 years. Eight brands from three countries. No brand loyal kool-aid consumer here. This bike has great power and handling. Brakes are okay but will be great with a fluid change and possible pad upgrade. Calipers are second to none. The electronics are new and unfortunately suspect at times. This will probably get worked out eventually. Handling is nice with the Metzler stock tires. The overall design and platform are second to none but a few areas need addressed/upgraded. Fortunately these few tweaks will make this bike great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great overall bike with some tiny needed changes Went from small bobbers to this big beast. The fit and finish, the controls, the design and the style is all really nice. Almost everything on the bike is really thought out and it shows. The bike handles amazing on the road and will definitely get you some looks because of the style. The major design flaw that really makes the bike suffer is the electronic throttle. When you go from not engaged to engage, it jumps. It makes it so your shifts aren’t the smoothest you’d like because you always get that slight jolt from getting on the gas again and it’s REALLY apparent when you are doing a slow turn, need to let off the throttle a little and then you get back on it. It shakes you pretty hard. Indian makes excuses for why it’s like that but it’s a pretty big component that sucks. Also Indians aftermarket parts inventory is massive but their pricing is criminal. almost $700 for a rear seat that’s just a small little cheap from and a leather cushion? Cmon Indian that’s ridiculous

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Most excellent bike! I'm 43 years old, and I've been riding since I was 16. This is the best motorcycle I've owned.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike I purchased my Challenger 1 1/2 months ago. The comfort and ridability is fantastic. Of course, that is what I have come to expect from an Indian motorcycle. The Challenger represents all the great aspects you expect, speed, power, agility. It is very difficult for me to talk myself in ending any ride that I am on. What a great piece of engineering.

2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 162.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awsum ride I own a Harley Davidson Night Rod that I decided to park due it being unavailable anymore. It’s just increasing in value now. I purchased a 2021 Indian Challenger, because I need to ride still, and I couldn’t be happier. This bike rocks and I’m glad I parked the Harley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bike I own I purchased my Challenger on July 3rd 2021. I now have 6700 miles on it. I have road across the country for 3 weeks. This bike is amazing. I own three Harleys and my Challenger is now my favorite bike to ride. When people ask me to describe my bike I tell them it is a bagger that you can ride like a sport bike and still put miles down.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So close to perfection... so close This is my 4th Polaris (Victory and Indian) product and I will say right of the hop, this is the best one so far. I will start with my likes. The bike handles like a sport bike. It is hard to believe this bike is over 800lbs. It is nearly perfectly balanced. The adjustable windshield, the water cooled engine, the inverted front forks, the adjustable shock are all terrific. The power is immense and not for a first time bagger owner. You will pull away from nearly every harley on the road (save for a 140+ M8) HOWEVER, you almost always only remember the bad. This bike sounds like a sewing machine on the top end of the engine. It never goes away. You will have other rides ask you about it, you will hear it when you pull in for a beer and you will likely become self conscious about it. The nav unit is ATROCIOUS. It looks good, but searching for things like addresses, restaurants, etc will almost always leave you with cannot be found. It is slow to load, often connects and disconnects from your bluetooth phone. The stock throttle is garbage. There are flat spots, surges, low speed acceleration issues and to top it off there are times at stop lights etc where the rpms will bounce which has become known in the community as "RPM Searching". It has a name because it happens so much. Getting parts for these bikes has everything on back order. Finding a good shop, you don't have a choice, you likely only have one near you.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding Ride! I bought the Challenger 117 days ago and I have over 11,000 miles on it. It handles great! It rides good with exception to the stock seat... but I use a nice seat cushion that makes up for that. In the first 5k, I had a little bit of stalling issues but it seems to have worked its way out of that. One thing that would make this bike even better... Not everyone has Apple products. I'll leave it at that.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from First bagger and I am impressed. I heavily researched baggers before my purchase and I am confident I bought the right one for me. I am not used to the luxury options it came with standard. Performance is unmatched in it's class.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Challemge Picked this up after accident with my Kawasaki on the road riding thru VA NC..after a test ride last year knew this would be my next bike. Bike operates great. Handling and the power wow LOVE IT. had 2 issues with bike. Ride command had malfunction and after three dealers and finally diagnosing problem still awaiting part to correct problem..till then no music. Then I assume due to pandemic accessories are on back order for months.... maybe by next year I will have it as I want.. other wise great bike can't wait to get it back on road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best motorcycle I own The Challenger Dark Horse is amazing!! The comfort level is unmatched!! As a owner of 6 Harleys this is the best touring motorcycle! On June 22 2021 I rode 1,126 miles to Washington in 1 day and I didn’t suffer any shoulder or back pain!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's the little things! Overall the bike has great power and ride is the smoothest bike I have ridden. Had an issue with battery running down and would not start after trying to set up Apple Carplay. When trying to remove battery cover, the 6mm bolt was so tight that the inserts begin to spin in the plastic piece. I was able to remove the bolt and insert as one piece then remove the bolt from the brass looking insert. I pressed the brass insert back into the cover then only tighten enough to hold piece in place. Not a big fan of the rubber like pieces on the bottom of the saddle bags...the two way tape is separating from the saddle bag. I will probably remove those pieces. I replaced the handlebars and in the process of removing the fairing, I found a screw that had its head torqued off. It's the little things that need attention to make this a great bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike I recently purchased a 2021 Indian Challenger Dark Horse. I love this bike. I know own 3 Indians (2018 Indian Springfield DH, 2022 Indian Chief Bobber DH, and 2021 Indian Challenger DH). Each of these bikes are amazing. I love the challenger for the ride, the power, and the conveniences like RideCommand. The Apple CarPlay features and integration is simply awesome. It works flawlessly. Another really good feature is audio system. The stock sound is actually really good. At highway speeds it was loud (even with sound dampening custom ear plugs). Another cool feature is the windscreen which can go up and down. There are so many things on this bike that are not documented, which are just fun to find out about. I was parking my bike at night and when I started to put the kickstand down, an LED light lit up the underside of the bike so you could see where the kickstand was actually going on the ground. What an ingenious and simple feature. I just added the ClimaCommand seat. The stock seat was actually comfortable, but I wanted the heating and cooling option. The seat has more padding and the cooling actually works (tried in 88*F weather). Indian has outdone themselves with this bike. My only criticism would be the stock exhaust. I prefer louder and throatier sound from my motorcycles. No problem...TAB Performance to the rescue. A lot of options around exhaust from different manufacturers. This bike has all the things I was looking for in a bike. I can't wait to put some real miles on it.
Date published: 2021-06-23
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect After thousands of miles there are only 2 down falls to the stock challenger. The seat is to soft for rides over an hour and the exhaust is to quiet.
Date published: 2021-06-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolute Blast!! Two months in and this bike still puts a smile on my face! The power, the torque, the ride, the feel!! I'm coming from an 03' Road glide, that bike was supposed to be my "forever" bike, and it was...Until I saw, then rode this, Challenger Dark Horse. The roominess, the acceleration, the stopping power, the features!! I'm hooked. Now, if only Indian could keep up with the demand for parts/accessories and make the Ride Command navigation a lot more user friendly, they would absolutely crush the competition.
Date published: 2021-06-14
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Decent bike I like the bike at high end speeds, it preforms really well. Slow and average speeds it’s average. I prefer the looks of the harley and it’s easier to customize the harley road king. Some parts feel plastic and cheap.
Date published: 2021-06-14
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike I have had this bike for two months now and I thoroughly enjoy the comfort, style and sounds of the bike. If I had a complaint it would be that it is a bit too quiet in the stock condition.
Date published: 2021-06-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raw fun Tab performance pipes fix the sound and Lloyd's tune makes it faster. Nothing else needed!
Date published: 2021-06-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything from front to back is 5 stars, I have owned the Indian challenger dark horse for about 3 months now and i love it. If i could pick at anything it would be the turn signal switch is strange with right and left being in one switch on one side. I am just used to using the left hand to hit the left signal and the right hand to hit the right, but that i'll have to get used to.
Date published: 2021-06-07
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Torque I’m on my second Indian, was almost going to pick up a Rocket III, but once I got the alert for the Challenger and the capabilities, I decided to go that route.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Should have made the switch earlier I was a Victory rider since 2011 then switch to a Cheiftain limited in 2017 added 116 kits stage 1 lloydz goodies and loved the bike sat on the Challenger knew I had to have it 1000 miles later only complaint was the stock seat moved to the 2" stretch seat and loving it the power smooth shifting and the way it handles with cross wind at highway speeds and the back roads and twisties! These two wheels move my soul! Should have made the switch sooner!
