The home of Indian Motorcycle is Spirit Lake, Iowa. Visitors to Spirit Lake can tour the factory as well as visit the Indian Motorcycle Experience Center.
Complementary tours are available at the factory where approximately 550 skilled professionals assemble bikes. The tour takes visitors through the entire assembly process, which starts with an engine and ends with a completely assembled, fully operational motorcycle coming right off the line. Guests can see the skilled staff in action while lines are in operation, learn details of the manufacturing process and observe the technology features of the world-class facility.
Guided tours are available by appointment only. Availability is limited. To schedule a tour, call 712-336-3797 and choose Option 4 or email factorytours@indianmotorcycle.com. Tours last approximately 45 minutes. No photography or cell phone usage is allowed during the tour. Closed-toe, flat shoes are required. No sandals are allowed on the tour. Visitors must be age 5 or older.
If guided tours are not available during your visit to Spirit Lake, the Indian Motorcycle Experience Center is open with video tours from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. CST Monday through Friday with the exception of holidays.
At the Experience Center, guests can view current and historic Indian motorcycles, engine displays, vintage artifacts and memorabilia, and purchase exclusive factory merchandise. The Experience Center also is available as a venue for private events and celebrations.
