To perform the spark plug service on your Indian Roadmaster PowerPlus, follow these steps:
1. Park the motorcycle on a flat, level surface and ensure the engine has cooled to room temperature.
2. Turn the power switch off.
3. Pull upward on the spark plug boots (not the wires) to remove the boots.
4. To prevent debris from entering the spark plug holes, use compressed air to clean the area around the plugs before removing them with a 14mm plug socket with wobble extension.
5. Continue by reinstalling the spark plugs or install new plugs. The gap specification is 0.039 in (1.0 mm). Torque to 7.4 ft-lbs (10 Nm).
6. Reinstall the spark plug boots. Important: The spark plug boot is fully seated when the third rib on the boot is level with the spark plug hole as shown.
