2019 Indian Scout Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 474.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun to ride Bought my Scout 60 a couple months ago, Its got plenty of power and looks amazing, rides great. The buying experience was good too). My only negatives were that there wasn't a heal shifter available for it and the windscreen doesn't do as much for reducing noise as others i have had on other bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike with ABS without breaking the bank... I was looking to get back into riding after a nearly five year break due to an auto-auto accident. I had always wanted an Indian, ever since I was a kid, and I was surprised to find that they were quite affordable. I picked up the Scout Sixty to be my daily driver, though with the lockdown I haven’t put a ton of miles on it yet. It’s a great bike for getting around. I’m a big guy, read heavy, and this bike not only fits me well it hauls me around with nary an effort. Most importantly when I’m on the highway it still has more to give should I need to overtake.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing motorcycle! I am beyond happy with this motorcycle. The handling, cornering and gear shifting is incredibly smooth. Comfortable seat position and the handlebar reach is natural. The fender rounds out the sharp look and natural lines of the bike. This is a powerful bike without being intimidating with responsive breaking system and easy throttling. Note: I ended up ordering the reduced reach kit for the break and gear shifter.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First bike ever, awesome I bought this motorcycle in mid February of this year, 2020. So far, it's been an amazing experience. Certain things I would change is add a windscreen, like the Dart Marlin to keep the wind from blasting your stomach and chest. Another would be the seat, switch it out to something more comfortable if you plan on riding for any extended period. The clutch is very forgiving for new riders. It's fairly lightweight, low to the ground and quite balanced. It doesn't take much for a new rider to become confident in their ability to keep it upright at stops. I'm 5' 10" and I not only flat foot, but my knees have quite a bend when my feet are on the ground. The bike seems to be well made. Keep in mind that the Scout Sixty will NOT come with a USB charger, but the speedometer DOES have a place to place it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome styling, ride and value! I bought this bike in December 2019 after not riding for a few years. I am so happy I made this decision. Hands down the Scout sixty is the best value in the motorcycle game cruiser wise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE the bike, BUT So I purchased my bike on the last day of 2019. It was actually my very first bike purchase and I had done my homework. I was wanting to go Harley at first but realized it was going to be out of the budget, so when I came across the Indian I realized that this was going to be the route to go, especially since I heard they had a good reputation. Most of the deal was done over the phone and texts with my sales rep. He serviced me well and answered all my questions. Once they told me I was approved I went to the store to pick it up and I fell in love instantly. The bike rides great, even beyond my expectations. I do know that I was paying more then I should and I felt like they could have given me a better deal, but I was so happy with the bike that I was alright with paying more. I did have a pleasant surprise when they gave me a $500 dollar credit when they found out that I was a veteran. So with that credit I ended up getting a passenger seat, helmet and gloves. However, when I was shopping for these accessories, I started noticing that their gear was incredibly overpriced, almost ridiculously over priced, but again, I didn’t complain because they gave me the credit. The one thing that annoyed me though was that the rep had told me that my first tune up and oil change at 500 miles was FREE. When I hit those miles, I called service to set it up and they wanted to charge me almost $400 bucks. Needless to say I wasn’t happy about it at all, in fact I made it a point to explain to them that the sales rep had told me this. They then proceeded to tell me that they couldn’t honor that. So, I ended up taking it to a very reputable bike shop in San Bernardino where they charged me only $150. It kind of left a bad taste in my mouth because I do business with people on how they treat me. I am a man of my word and expect the same in return when they tell me something. It also made me wonder how the dealership can charge $400 bucks for service but then get the same service some place else for way cheaper. I know dealerships are all about making as much money as possible, but they should also not try to gouge people when servicing or selling parts. People will notice and go elsewhere for those kind of things. I have actually been ordering after market parts on line due to the fact that the dealership is overpriced. With that being said, I am not unhappy with the purchase. The bike is my new love and I am truly happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really REALLY nice bike My second bike. Rode a Kawasaki 500 for 8 years, wanted a "bigger" bike. Wrestled with all the options, settled on the 60. I love it. Its fast, its nimble, it's not a "girls bike" or a "starter bike". This is a legit cruiser. I have gotten so many compliments on its looks. It is an absolute blast to ride. Super quick but balanced. If you're considering one, get one!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome power I love the way this thing handles I went from a 780 pound bike to this one and at less than 550 pounds it handles like a race bike and explosive power just an amazing bike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect motorcycle This is a motorcycle, as opposed to a computer with wheels and an engine. I am specifically trying to get away from gadgets and the Scout 60 is perfect to accomplish that goal in the motorcycle world. The Scout 60 is responsive, stable and easy to handle.for this 70 year old rider.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, “sport cruiser”? Since the brand came out under Polaris, I have been really interested in the Indian motorcycles. They look great (to me), the reviews are great and after taking a test ride I was hooked. Mine came with slip on mufflers and before taking delivery I asked the finance guy if there was any room in my approval for a tuner or intake. Fortunately, there was and the parts guy, who was very knowledgeable about all the products I mentioned, suggested the Indian brand performance intake. To my surprise it comes with a computer flash and really sounds and performs great. I am not a big fan of loud exhaust, in fact I really don't like people that rev their engines for no reason. That being said, when I wind this scout sixty up from a stop and whip through the gears close to the rev limiter, it sounds monstrous! It also gets me where I’m going with haste (Its quick!). I wouldn’t say this bike is fast because a non fairing bike is only as fast as you can put up with holding on against the wind. For me not wanting to struggle against the wind keeps me from potentially running into some legal issues. It does however get to 100mph without issue and quickly. I don’t know how much of this is attributed to the slip on exhaust, better intake and tune, but I’m sure it didn’t hurt. I have not figured out exactly what the top speed is, but without fairings and an open stretch if road, I don’t really want to. I live at the base of the rocky mountains, just below Estes Park and the road up and down the mountain seem to be what this bike was made for. The pegs are forward and high enough that they don't scrape. The engine has plenty of power and I actually love the low riding position (I’m 6’1). I am often tempted to shift my body and drag a knee (I haven’t yet, but seriously its fun on the twisty bits with the engine revving with the occasional growl and roar shifting gears out of a corner)! Perhaps the coolest thing about this bike is the classy look, to me its the ability to haul my posterior up the steepest part of the mountain at 80mph (8000 ft elevation) with my fat posterior in tow. The “parts guy” mentioned that the benefit of the Indian air intake and performance tune is that it more easily adjusts to Elevation change (pretty drastic in my situation) as other systems omit the O2 sensors and can mess up fueling and how well the bike runs with elevation change. I wish it came with bags and a cell phone holder, but there are always the next paycheck or two and the aftermarket to take care of that. Until then, I will be wearing a backpack and shoving my cell phone between my crotch and the seat. So the cell phone reminded me of the only thing I don’t like about the bike because the only time I can look at my phone (gps) is at a dead stop. Occasionally, when at a stop, I will shift it down to first gear from neutral and it will go into gear with a bit of a clunk. The only other bike I have ridden that did that was a Harley Fat Boy, except the fat boy did it in every gear. Maybe it has something to do with the characteristics of belt drive, but chain driven bikes and shaft driven bikes I’ve ridden in the past never seemed to do this. With the first gear clunk aside, this bike is awesome. Oh yeah, the other thing I don’t like about the bike has less to do with the bike and more to do with financing it. I will just say that it is best to save up and buy it with cash, because your $9,000 bike turns into $12,000 financed real quick with taxes and all that bologna. Thats true with every bike though. I have only had the bike for a total of 4 days, two of which were work days and I have easily put 500 miles on it. Luckily for me, I bought this bike on consignment and the original owner only put 750 miles on it. That was a good thing, because the first service is due at 500 miles (performed at the dealership before I signed for the bike) and the second somewhere in the 3,000 or 5,000 miles, I’m not sure which. Anyway, I love the bike, whats not to love? Its a sporty cruiser, made in America, pound for pound one of the best cruisers ever made, and it puts a smile on your face going to the store, granted you’ll have to do it with a back pack, but smiles like a kid with his backpack on the last day of school.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth and easy to handle I did the test ride on Ruby Red Scout 60. I thought the engine sounded great, the power it offered was more than enough for the type of riding you would do on a smaller cruiser bike. This bike had some options for shorter riders on it, but it was the only Scout 60 they had it seemed. I really like the red paint too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good throttle response For the size of the engine, it had good throttle response. The seat was a bit tough on my tail bone, but then I am 58 an dI have a bad back, so take it with a grain of salt.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike and comfortable ride! My friends had been bugging me for a year to get a bike and ride with them. I was skeptical as I felt too old to ride a bike being 63 years old. Well last month I finally pulled the trigger and bought a 2019 Indian Scout 60 and I'm having a blast with it. Really comfortable and easy to handle.

2019 Indian Scout Indian Motorcycle Red / Thunder Black (ABS) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1049.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful bike , right bike for me. Got about 300 miles on it. One thing is riding position. I have reduced reach handlebars which are still a little short ,need another 2 inches or so. I like my back to be straight. Going for another handlebar which should do it. Keep in mind I am 5 foot 10 inches tall. Go figure. Besides that the bike is great.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size Bought it in June, have 850mi on it already in the mountains of NC. Feedback is bike fits great and feels like it was made for me. On the negative, the front could use a second rotor to help w stopping power. Also factory rear shocks need some help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great bike for an older short rider. I loved my 2015 Chieftain but after turning 74 I started thinking that a lighter motorcycle might be the way to go. I couldn’t be happier with my 2019 Scout ABS. Nimble and powerful are two words that come to mind. The Deepwater Blue is a great color. I look forward to riding my Scout as much as I did my Chieftain.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from COVID did it! Blame it on COVID. Couldn't get a haircut and needed some where to self isolate. For me at 5' 11" and 200 lb, and reasonably fit at 71, just had to get out of the house and live a little. Paid up and got the last new one they had in stock. Made the rifht choice for me. It fits me very well. Very responsive to my inputs. Almost too much power for the way I live today; could have chosen the Scout '60 maybe. Fine fit and finish. Feels compact, almost stuffed in and with the low cg it's become easy to learn again to tip it in and manage it at low speeds. Got this over the Bobber as it will take accessories the Bobber can't. Slowly getting these add-ons as I need them. Rode the Harley Sportster and a Motoguzzi V9 but this won out first time I sat on it. I was thinking of an older restored Norton 750. Buddy has one. He tinkers a lot and knows what to do. I don't and can't. Decided on new, warranty, FI, low maintenance. Also I have a leg that won't bend like it used to. That sold me on the Indian; its riding position and with a low seat height, I've got all the strength/leverage my knee will give me ready to go and it won't stiffen up after an hour. Rode road Triumphs in the'70's, was a boon docker dirt biker and then a trial's rider. But 40 years later, it's like starting again. I ride it the same way I drive my classics. Good weather, no rain in the forecast, not too far and not too fast (have changed that a bit). Interesting when I get through the garage door and look for the ride for the day how often I choose the Indian over any classic. I'm having another mid-life crisis and I'm loving it. Oh, 'all the gear, all the time!' and thanks to the You Tube videographers who make it easy to get back in the sport.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this bike! I have wanted an Indian motorcycle since I was a kid and I am thrilled to see what Polaris has done with the brand. They've done everything right and continue to improve year to year. My 2020 Scout ABS was built for me, from the handle bars to the forward pegs, it is a great fit and a comfortable ride. The attention to detail that has been put into this build is easily seen, even from a distance. It has the power to pass when needed, sounds great and looks like the Indian cruiser it was designed to be. I just can't say enough positive things about the Indian Scout ABS. I am really enjoying this bike and I love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from HD to Indian As a lifelong harley rider, and still an avid fan I made the switch from a Classic cruiser to a new Indian Scout. Overall, one word, "Amazing" Fit and finish- superb, handling- awesome, look- classic and retro. I know this might seem a bit trite, but shifting from 1st to neutral is precise and positive, unlike my previous ride which was cumbersome to find neutral. This just shows me engineering excellence, all the way down to the little details. Great job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly Recommend My only regret is not buying one of these bikes any sooner. The engine is an absolute blast. It can cruise down the street comfortably, but if you grab a handful of throttle it turns into a rocket. The stock bars were fine but I enjoy my hands up a bit higher and the mini-apes did the trick just fine. The forwards took some time to get used to since my last bike had mids but that was no problem. Very nimble and stable in the corners but you will scrape peg (or boot) eventually. The only thing that has started to become a bit of a nuisance is the stock seat. These 2020's look stunning with the Indian plate in the middle of the seat, but I have the misfortune of having that rest right on my tailbone. Most people end up switching seats anyway so no biggie but that might matter to some. Rides two up comfortably so there is not much this bike won't be able to do for you. I'll be hanging onto this one for a while for sure.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from We love the bike. Bought 1 month ago we love the bike it rides awesome looks really cool and retro we get to a of compliments. My only disappointment was within the first 2 weeks we had a part go out that kept the speedometer and a few other things go out. It took nearly 2 weeks plus of the bike being in the shop for the part and completion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Ride on a Small Tank After I got married I sold my first bike. We had kids to raise and things to deal with. But my wife promised me I would be able to get another bike once things were settled and our mutual finances set. 24 years later that bike is an Indian Scout ABS. Jade and Thunder Black. Its a beautiful machine and it rides like a 24 year long dream. That said, I spend too much time stopping for gas. This surprised me a bit. Motorcycles get notoriously good gas mileage; but the tank on the Scout is just a little too small. Now I don't do a lot of long distance riding during the week, but on weekends I like to get out on the road. I just have to stop every 120 miles to make sure I don't run out of gas. Another gallon wouldn't have hurt her look, Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for Me! My Scout was made for me! I am a re-entry rider and wanted something I could easily handle. Only did a couple modifications for better reachability. She has more power than you would think but when you need her to go, she's gone! Wonderful maneuverability and very easy to handle. I would easily purchase another one!! Only downfall is the stock pipes are too quiet for a bike that looks this good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love with a piece of American History My first real motorcycle. Just can't have enough of it. Love everything about it - the handling, low but aggressive stance, the styling and more than anything else the fact that it's an Indian and it's the Scout; Burt Munro's machine as he broke land speed records a century back. The only thing I expected for the money I paid was a better seat and shocks. I sincerely hope Indian listens to all of us who own the Scout Bobber. The comfort seat has never been in stock since I got the motorcycle few months back.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the looks of it the Scout Bobber 20 The performance of this bike is as expected. So far my experience on this bike is all good. Other than a bit of a bumpy ride at high speeds it’s great. I just wish I could have been able to use a discount coupon I got in the mail the day after. Just wish the Scout came with a gauge like the Chief Bobber with its round LCD apple CarPlay capabilities.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This is how everyone should begin The Scout Bobber Sixty has been my very first motorcycle. Many tried convincing me to start on a 250cc or the like. Luckily for me I ignored them. The Sixty is the perfect blend of power, balance, and performance. So much so I don’t see myself trading up immediately like I most certainly would on many other “entry level” motorcycles. After the initial break in period, this bike easily gets up to 80mph on the highway, loving life between 4,000 and 6,000 rpms. Liquid cooling gives this modern v twin competitive advantage over other options, such as any of the Harley Davidson Sportster models. Like most new motorcycles, it’s needs some help to be heard. Both Indian and a variety of aftermarket companies can help give the exhaust a bit more presence. The one minor drawback that comes to mind is the lack of a gas gauge. The bike gets around 120-130 miles per gallon. I usually reset my trip odometer to know about how much longer I have in fuel, a light will come on when you have about 20 miles to go.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super comfortable and smooth ride I’ve had this motorcycle for about 2 months now. I was worried about how low the handlebars were compared to the previous bike I was riding and that it could cause my back to become sore or perhaps my shoulders (I’m 5’4, so I def have to lean a bit forward). But in all honesty it’s so comfortable and with my 35-50 minute commute (depending on traffic) I have not one complaint.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Review I love the look of this bike, It fits my style so well. My main problem with this bike is there are arent many aftermarket mods made for the bike through anyone not even Indian. If they were whiling to do some more work on modifications for their bikes I would recommend 100%. Other custom shops did not help much as no one knew the ins and out of an indian. This bike is not comfortable for rides over an hour the seat is hard and the suspension is very rough. Wouldn't recommend if you are always on the bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from looks and run great I bought this last December but I started riding it only after all the snow melted in Minnesota. It runs great and looks really aggressive, I definitely got a lot people looking at me while riding it. It's a rare bike, I don't see a lot of Indians while out on the road. I had to change the seat to the comfort seat and put on vance and hines slip ons to make it louder, but it is a super fun bike to ride.

Position of rider is high over the road, comfortable seat, nice engine sound, great torque, no vibrations, very smooth ride and looking like the king of the road on top of all that. Wow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE THIS BIKE! I was so pleased with the demo ride - great opportunity and a long enough route to get a decent feel of this bike. The ride on this Chief is amazing - very plush, yet so responsive with lots of go and excellent whoa! The accessories are great...very happy with my new, lovely "Sadie"!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handles nice and got lot of torque I had it on a demo ride in Americade 2019 and loved bottom torque and sitting comfort. Front brake is weak and useless compared to rear that excellent and do amazing job stopping this bike instantly and confidently. Lot of buffeting above 90mh. No hill shift. Instrumental is hard to read and distract from riding because its location on the tank is down below the vision. Nice quality leather saddle bags and the seat. Lot of shiny chrome that blinds you out on a sunny day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Demo ride My son and I are both Harley guys but, I must admit I was blow away by the ride and handling of the bike I test drove.. I will definitely be looking at an Indian for my next bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very smooth, powerful and well balanced ride This bike lived up to everything I wanted it to be. Classy, handles like a dream. Rides smoother than a similar bike I currently ride of the competitions but still shares some of the big, American muscle raw beauty.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My Second Indian Demo Ride After driving the Scout, the higher-powered Vintage 111 was a noticeable improvement. Unfortunately, I soon found that floorboards, rather than pegs, caused problems with accessing both the gear-shift and the rear brake. This resulted in significant handling issues for me, which I expect would be no challenge to most riders. The available list of accessories is most appealing to me, but I must overcome the issue of the floorboards before I pursue a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely beautiful Bike Was impressed with the power of the Thunderstroke engine. Incredible torque, and lovely sound, both on acceleration and deceleration. Impressive chrome and paint, good handling and the ABS braking is a great feature. Good suspension compliance too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice motorcycle I went to the Indian demo ride event hoping to ride the new ftr but it was only available as a display because it hasn't officially been released yet so I thought I would like to try the scout but after sitting on a couple decided at 6ft 4 inches tall weighing around 290 I was just built to big to fit the scout so the chief dark horse caught my eye I sat on it perfect fit then I was informed the vintage was the same bike but had a windshield and bags so I rode it the bike handled well had good power and looked fantastic if I just had to find something to complain I'd say the absence of a heel shifter as I have ridden similar bikes in the past which heel toe was a standard feature and not having it on the big Indian naturally I tried to use it a couple times and it wasn't there

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Handles like a smaller bike Test ride only. It was very comfortable and handled well. However the windshield was very floppy. Not enough support. My Vulcan has a reinforcing strap on back making it stiffer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A smooth, powerful, and performance filled cruiser I first demoed the Indian Vintage in 2015 when the Thunderstroke 111 was introduced. Since then I have ridden it several times during Daytona Bike Week. It is a marvelous machine with beautiful retro-styling. It is very powerful, yet offers a smooth and comfortable ride. I have ridden most of the Indian line at Daytona, and many are impressive, but the Vintage is my favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 3 ride modes is nice. I'm on my 4th Indian. Three were Vintages and one a Chieftain Limited. The Chieftain was better in every way, except looks. The Vintage carries the flag for Indian. The Vintage is a work of art and although not quite as nice as the Chieftain, it's my choice. It handles well in the mountains or flatlands fine. The attention it draws insures you will meet lots of folks along your ride. Love the Vintage.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing ride on air. I bought my 2015 Indian Chief Vintage last Sept 2018 in Ottawa Canada and was completely blown away by the comfort and handling. This is my first American bike and experience with the American trans like the HD, and boy does it ride well. The true feeling of freedom when you take the quick release windshield off for a ride is a great feeling and I haven't done that in a long time. The looks I get from everyone is amazing as its a vintage model and sets out from all others. Thank you Indian :)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike, but ridiculously high parts prices! Bought my Vintage 3 years ago; have loved it deeply, but have grown to just as deeply resent getting "robbed" every time I need a part. Check out the cost of the rubber grommet upon which the windshield rests, or the cost of replacing a cracked glass lens on one of the "passing" lamps. You will not believe it. Indian's answer to my constructive criticism of the high parts prices was "We are not responsible for road damage" (Duh!), and "Our parts are priced accordingly for a premium product". I also have a 2017 KTM Super Duke GT and a 2014 BMW R1200RT--both "premium" motorcycles-- and even BMW can't match Indian's price gouging for parts. The experience of buying parts and accessories has been so unpleasant that it is slowing souring me on what was once the "love of my life" (apologies to my wife!).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Electrical Problem Bought this bike new 2016. All of a sudden started having electrical issues. For example all the lights in the dash come on and the speedo goes down to zero while going down the road, and you better not kill it, if you do you will have to reset the ecm to get it started. It has been in the shop 2 times for this issue and still there now. The first time it was in for 5 weeks, been4 weeks this time and no fix yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving it! Owned a Kaw in the mid 80's and after a 30 year no ride period, I bought a Scout in 8/18 and after 2100 miles I knew I had to go bigger and while at the dealer I seen this baby. After negotiating with "the boss" we agreed on trading the Scout if I kept the same color combo or black and tan. The Vintage is everything we wanted and expected. It's a comfortable ride, the throaty distant rumble of the pipes is like music, it has everything we needed shy of the backrest for us both and the weight makes encountering winds or large vehicles a non-issue now. Keyless is something I really wish hadn't been added as I like the key in the ignition but that is the only thing I would call a minor negative if it's a negative at all. I've received a lot of compliments and the group I ride with use the words "awesome" and beautiful" when they first seen it. I think there's a few HD riders considering "upgrades" as well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overly well-behaved Test rode this at the Long Beach show, and it's the first bike of this size I've ridden. Shifting was smooth and quiet, the ride was supple, and the power was more than adequate. I rode with a passenger, and she really liked the backrest and thick sidebars. This bike is just short of being twice as heavy as my current bike, but the balance was fantastic. And of course, the styling was exactly what I was after. My only complaint is that this bike was almost TOO refined. Shifting seems too smooth, and the pipes were too quiet (I know that can be changed). Floorboards had my feet in a different position than my other bikes, but it didn't interfere with shifting, which was always something I had wondered about. All in all, a fine machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from a good honest bike I was a bit worried when I bought my Chief Vintage in January of 2014...it looked like a real pretty bike but I wondered if it would be all lipstick and rouge. I'm pleased to say that my Chief Vintage has proved to be a reliable trouble free bike. It has great options like ABS and it is a real eye catcher.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I enjoyed the test ride This was a nice bike to ride. Main positives were excellent braking (almost too strong at first!), nice power, smooth shifting (very easy to get into N), and of course the iconic styling. The handlebar position was very good for me. (5' 9") The only thing I disliked about it was the high center of gravity which I wasn't used to after riding my current bike for many years. I will definitely consider buying one in the future.

2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 344.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Gorgeous Motorcycle I really enjoyed demoing this bike. I was especially impressed with its slow speed handling. Most other big bikes feel awkward turning around in a parking lot, but the Indian was confidence inspiring. Out on the road it was very smooth and developed power right from idle. No need to rev this bike even to 5000 rpm. If I had any complaint it was the heat from the motor sitting at traffic lights. But, hey! this bike was built for the open road.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bike I've Ever Owned I bought this bike back in November. I've always been a Harley rider. I was in the market for a new bike and just couldn't pass up the deal Youngblood PS offered me. I ordered the stage 1 setup with some of the money I saved compared to what I was expecting. Man, it sure has a lot of torque in those lower gears, but there's so much power throughout the range. I can't believe how well it handles...just point and go. It doesn't feel like a 750 lb bike. Everybody at the dealership, especially George and Dakota worked with me on the deal making sure I got just what I wanted. As long as bikes like this are being made I'll never go back to Harley.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike and Better Staff! During a quick family trip to New Mexico my twin brother and I noticed the local Indian dealership had a demo day. Being avid bike enthusests from upstate NY we couldn’t pass on the opportunity to experience New Mexico on our favorite means of transportation! The sign up was quick and easy and they even let our wife’s ride with us! We were able to sample several bikes with the amazing staff of Albuquerque, Indian dealership! They even took us on a personal tour ride to ensue we were able to experience an additional bike without our limited amount of time! We can’t thank the guys of Albuquerque Indian dealership for being so welcoming to a couple guys looking to get the most out of and opportunistic moment with our wife’s! We will absolutely be looking at the Indian line for our next bikes!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Going back to Harley - horrible experience I spent two years waiting to get this Dark Horse. After two weeks of ownership there is more rust on this bike than my H-D had after a full year of riding. The chrome trim was wrinkled the day I bought it and being warrantied along with the gas tank that hadn’t stripped bolts holding it on at purchase. Went to install the black fuel cap set today and found a rust patch the size of a quarter under the faux gas cap. Stage 1 flash was done at the dealer and now every time the bike is started, it stumbles gasping for air and stalls. There’s rust in about 6 exposed holes on the frame, after a trip to the dealer this week I saw all the new ones on the floor had paint in these holes, mine was bare metal and now fully rusted. The fork tube is also being replaced because it had a 3 inch scratch to bare metal at purchase. By the way this bike was to return to Indian as in 2016 I bought a Dark Horse that poured oil all over my garage the day I got it home. Will never buy another Indian and will surely share this experience. I was so impressed with the price of this bike for what I thought I was getting but I guess you get what you pay for. Now I’ll take a loss on this bike....again!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Dream Bike! :)) I have waited 19 years for my kids to grow old enough to finally purchase my Dream Bike. I really love my Chief Dark Horse. Ride is so smooth and comfortable and torque and acceleration are amazing. Once I am riding, I just don’t want to stop. I can ride for miles. I am 5’11 and the riding position is just perfect. I can praise enough the team of engineers, designers and painters at the Indian factory. You can tell they all take great pride of their jobs. Thank you all for helping me leaving my dream. Now back on the road ;)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride I traded a 2013 Suzuki c90t BOSS I thought that it was a great ride until I got my Chief Dark Horse the balance of this bike is incredible, the power and comfort is awesome and is a joy to ride every day. Although I was unable to put a lot of miles one it (bought it in September of 17) I plan to give her a few more days on the road this year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Ride I bought my Darkhorse this year following two years of enjoying my Scout military tribute. I was itching for a little more comfort and size. I moved up to the Darkhorse which was customized as a Bomber and man do I love this bike! The third week I owned it I was off from Longmeadow Massachusetts on my Bomber to Syracuse NY to the flat track races to watch the wrecking crew. Top finishes all the way! A great weekend on the most comfortable and powerful motorcycle in the world.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Kiwi Indian Dark horse Bought my Dark Horse in May 2016 and have loved it ever since. Everyone except my wife knew it was on order, unfortunately the day it tuned up at home i was away on business, so i received a message from my surprised wife to say "your new black baby has arrived and is safe n sound", needless to say this was not the first time a new toy had arrived without her knowledge (or will it be the last). To me Indians have always been the pinnacle of motorcycles, and this bike proves it. I have owned so many bikes over the years, but this one is a keeper. These bikes are so cool in every way Have added a pillion seat, pegs, sissy bar (for the wife, she loves it too), Rinehart mufflers (sounds awesome), Wimmer high flow air intake, mapped and tuned and more recently ape hangers. Still to come are stage 2 cams and Freedom Performance dual headers. Indians are well respected here in New Zealand due to our Kiwi legend Burt Munro (the worlds fastest Indian).

The dealership in Belmont N.C. had just sold the one I wanted, but quickly found another. Great great people at this dealership...I cant express how wonderful these people are. From start to finish, everything was great! And...I Love my new bike. Way better than my 2003 Harley! Merry Christmas to Me. Jason C.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! I bought my 2015 Chieftain in August 2016. This past summer, I rode cross country from Clovis CA to upstate New York and back. I logged 7,650 miles taking a southern route east and a northern route west. This was by far the finest ride of my life! It was comfortable and smooth. I had zero issues with my bike, riding in all kinds of weather and roads from back roads to highways. Totally loved it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised I went into RideNow Powersports Concord for the sole purpose of having my Yamaha 950T serviced. I always thought that I would one day upgrade to the big boy bikes, but after meeting Justin Massey, Sales Rep., with whom I felt very comfortable, I found myself actually, seriously looking into purchasing an Indian Chieftain Limited. Because of Justin's reassurance that doing the math on a purchase is not a commitment, but rather a chance to look at facts and takeout the guess work. To make a long story short, I didn't think I could be made comfortable enough to purchase the bike, but Justin and the sales staff got it done. I am now the proud owner of a 2018 Indian Chieftain Limited. Now, I could have spent my review describing my new Chieftain, but that bike sells itself and you can read about it or see it at any Indian dealership. But what you can't see anywhere is the service and attention to detail that I experienced at the hands of Justin and the Concord, N.C. staff. It made the difference. I've been in North Carolina just over two years, and I can tell you sincerely, interacting with Justin and the Concord staff was the best personal interactions I have had since moving here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Motorcycle!!! This is my second review of this mc and I'm going for another test ride soon. I was so impressed with the suspension that it is worth more time in the saddle to further evaluate the whole bike. I'm certain I'm going to buy one and still keep my Harley. The Chieftain is that good a bike and so is my Road King. Too many toys is a good thing! My Road King is red but my Indian will be black. You have to give this bike a chance. It is FANTASTIC!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Overall Bike, comfort, ride, performance. I've had my Chieftain a hair shy of 4 years. It now has 55,000 miles on it and runs better than the day I brought it home. I don't think they get broke in until around 15K. I know they run a bit hot, HD moved the CAT back to combat this, I just removed mine, Vance & Hines slip ons, problem solved. I have Avon grips and highway pegs. Other than that she is stock and runs great. Handles like a dream, smooth, powerful and flawless. I rode HD, Honda, Yamaha, ect for about 35 years before getting this bike, hands down the best riding bike I've ever owned period. I was on HD exclusively the previous 12 years. I love my Chieftain and when its time to retire her, I'll buy another. Maybe a Road Master. You won't be disappointed give Indian a ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from top of the line in the motorcycle world I climbed on this motorcycle in June 2014. Power, torque, craftsmanship and style. I absolutely LOVE this motorcycle. This bike handles like a dream in hard curves, mountains and around town. The thunderstroke 111 is a beast. I believe I will keep this bike for ever. I have owned 3 other make of motorcycle. None of them compared to the quality of the Indian chieftain.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the styling. Had bike about and runs great and we get a lot of compliments. Only 3 things I would change: More comfortable seat, add a compass & reduce engine heat from rear cylinder.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Style power handling sound The bike has great features handles great in the curves has awesome power sounds good and mileage is great for a bike this size. Also get a lot of people come to look at it and ask about it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Features but HOT ! I test rode the Chieftain while at Sturgis. Here's what I found; The suspension was spot on. It was the most comfortable ride I had EVER ridden, and I've been riding since 1971. That feature alone might sway me to buy one. The electric windshield was terrific but was made cheaply. It was loose and sometimes rattled while riding. It needs some work. The power was very good at all speeds. The tranny shifted easily into all gears, including neutral. The bike had a good feel to it and great sound from those mufflers at all speeds. The displays on the fairing were easy to read and well thought out. The capacity of the saddlebags were comparable to my Harley. All other features were very good as well. The only down side to this bike; it is HOT at idle and standing still!!!!! I mean uncomfortable HOT! That issue needs to be addressed very soon! And the paint isn't up to par with Harley either. Overall, if you can put up with the heat, its a good ride. As I said before, the suspension is spot on for comfort!

2020 Indian Chieftain Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 658.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, great, greater I will bay it because Iike how I ride the bike very comfortable, nice and easy to handle and powerful
Date published: 2019-08-07
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor fit and finish Not enough power for a 111. Didn’t like the way the handlebars stretched straight back. The gas gauge, power button, and hazard button are huge and look like they cane off a truck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the way it sits Went for a demo ride, very impressed, great power and ride, love the seating position, sits like HD Softail.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chieftain I test rode this bike and enjoyed the ride. I found the cockpit a little tighter than my 2013 Victory Cross Country Tour. Nice ride !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bikes with plenty of features and power Just went to a test ride event in Denver and rode a couple different bikes
Date published: 2019-08-01
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Powerful but less than expected I took a new dark horse with the 116 big bore kit for a test ride and it was nice. It had a noticeable difference in power from my 111 Roadmaster Classic but I kinda expected a little more. Nevertheless it was still a nice ride.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very nice ride First time on a Indian. Been looking to purchase one in the near future. Overall ride was good. Great power and handling. I'm 6'2, so it was a bit cramped for me. The glass didn't go high enough to keep my head from getting hammered around. I think a taller glass, lowers and the longer seat would fit perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adjustable windshield.3 different riding modes. I bought my chieftain a month ago & love it.i only have 1 issue any seems like my 14 chieftain rode smoother over bumps.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice ride Nice ride, but not having a water cooled engine seems archaic to me. And for the price point you can get a water cooled touring bike. With even more features

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Honest review The chieftain I was offered to demo, had a stage two kit installed. The throttle was to sensitive. and the exhaust was to loud. However I kept those things at bay as I rode. Vibrations were very minimal. Transmission shifting I would say very close to a goldwing. Steering with the fairing was very light and effortless. Wind deflection very good. Reaching for the kickstand was almost impossible while seated on bike it was to far forward. That break pedal is two small for the reach a car type would be better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Ride already own a 2017 springfield , really like this bike and thought i would like to try a chieftain classic . Surprisingly a very different ride and refined fuel delivery on the new bike .Throttle and transmission seem much smoother on the 2019 chieftain

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Chieftain This bike was a great ride, sound system was awesome and the driving modes made this bike great to ride. The switch between touring and sport mode was amazing. One dislike is the seating position. Feet are too far forward and no heel shifter standard. During test ride had to stretch my foot to reach the shifter. Unfortunatly this bike is not for me but was a nice ride plenty of power and the sound system was amazing.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 116 I own a 17 chieftain, I wanted to try out with the 116, and mid rise bars. For me I didn't care for the mid rise, the 116 is nice but for the type of riding I do, I don't think I'd spend the money. I like my bikes design better than the 2019, The 19s look to much like a Harley(not ditching Harleys, just like the differences).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing and surprising bike I test ride the Chieftan for one of my local dealers demo days. I gotta day I was truly impressed by the features, comfort, nimble handling, and power in such a big bike. If I was in the market for a touring bike I would 100% purchase this bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ride Did a test ride at Americade. Would be interested if I could find a dealer wit a good price.
Date published: 2019-06-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent riding experience at Americade I did a demo ride at the Americade, I currently own a Harley Street Glide Special and wanted to try the Indian Chieftain. I did like the Chieftain better as far as how light the motorcycle is and it rode amazing. But some small features like the blinker only on one side I had a hard time adjusting to also no heel shifter on the one I tried out. Also had a hard time with the kickstand, I have shorter legs (hard time reaching). My next purchase I will certainly look at the Indian versus Harley, I was very impressed. Thanks again, also I want to mention the staff from Indian was excellent.
Date published: 2019-06-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ride but design really sucks I am so disappointed in the design teams lack of vision. This is essentially a HD Street glide with Indian logos. Cheap and easy way to get converts but at the expense of your soul.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride - Really Have Things Together I have been riding Harley Davidsons for 30+ years and have switched to an Indian. Very impressed with smooth ride and the high torque engine.
Date published: 2019-06-04
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Nice gear set, 111 a little slow Noticed the gear set was better than my street glide. The 111 is a little underpowered. Smooth ride
Date published: 2019-06-04
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great handling and power Test ride the Chieftain 116. Don't know how Polaris did it but they made a large cruiser steer smooth, light and precise. Power was smooth in touring mode and only got sharper and more fun in the two higher modes. Stereo was not intuitive and hand grips are too large for my liking.
Date published: 2019-06-02
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride Great overall experience and lots of options to choose from

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride, Really Smooth and Powerful! I had the opportunity to ride a new Chieftan with the 116 engine. It was on a demo day at Coastal Indian. This bike has everything, power, style, and it was very comfortable. For me, to check off all these boxes is rare. It made such an impression on me I intend to buy one once I've paid off my Vintage, lol!

Indian Springfield

2019 Indian Springfield Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 350.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth and Powerful Ride I rode this at the Lexington KY Demo Days and loved it.
Date published: 2019-07-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smoth, comfortable ride. This will be my next bike I currently ride a Scout Sixty and I am happy with it. Once the kid is out of college and I can afford it, the Springfield will be my next bike. Loved it!
Date published: 2019-07-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike Took the Springfield Dark Horse for the Demo ride. Even in Standard mode the throttle response was quick. This bike had great power delivery, a smooth motor and a smooth comfortable ride. Fit and finish was excellent. The only draw back was the heat from the rear cylinder.
Date published: 2019-07-09
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good bike but not for me I liked the power, handling and brakes of the Springfield and the bike is great looking. Unfortunately, the cockpit is too large for me. The reach to the handlebars caused my back muscles to cramp.
Date published: 2019-07-06
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride! I test rode the Chieftain and Springfield, and while the Chieftain has more creature comforts, the Springfield has a far superior ride. I could ride the Springfield all day.....and perhaps never come home.
Date published: 2019-06-30
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built, very smooth ride, good power The Springfield is very nice. It rides very well on rougher roads. Has plenty of power and the electronics tell the rider everything they need to know. I don't sit as low in the bike as my current bike, so I was a little less comfortable. I think a driver backrest would help with the comfort, although overall I was comfortable during the test ride. Overall, I great bike.
Date published: 2019-06-30
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Surprisingly good power and handling. I was surprised by the power and ease of riding this bigger cruiser. I am not used to forward controls but quickly learned to manage. The only distraction was the tall windshield that forced me to look through it. That would be something to change.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than anything else 21 k and two years later. Can't find fault. Tested them all. BMW, Honda and Harley. Those 3 couldn't touch it for ride and comfort or power. And Indian Springfield beat them in price. Harley lists a cheaper Road king with no extras. Once you get it up to Springfield standards it's 25K.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike I’ve had 10 bikes and my favorite was always my road king, until now. This bike is a road king on steroids. I had to make a few personal changes to the bike, like beach bars and a floor board lowering kit but now it’s as perfect as a bike can be.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Smooth Went on demo ride......thoroughly impressed, but maybe heavier than what I want in my next bike.
Date published: 2019-06-08
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not my style I liked the bike but I'm not used to a cruiser style bike. It was comfortable but felt sluggish compared to my bike. I think a Speedmaster would do almost everything this bike can do for a lot less $.
Date published: 2019-06-02
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike Loved the ride and the bike. It was a little hot next to the engine, but that may have been because it had been risen for several hours on demo. Either way, it handles amazing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Springfield Aweful Wind Buffeting for Passenger Sorry to say we traded our Yamaha Touring Bike in for a new 2018 Springfield and I hate it. Would not recommend at all if your going to have a passenger. It is debilitating pain for at least two days afterwards. We have spent alot money and time and no relief. Depressed I won't be able to ride after all the money to purchase. Don't buy without trying it first at all speeds. At home recovering from short ride yesterday in tears.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really nice ride I did a demo ride one of these models today at a poker run in Escondido, CA. It was the first time I’d ridden an Indian, I was impressed with the ride and feel of the bike, only issue I could see having is the width of the floor boards, for me they feel a little narrow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a seriously versatile and cool ride! I was determined to replace my 2007 Kawasaki Nomad with an Indian Springfield or a H-D Road King. I am a cruiser/bagger rider. This bike felt right and stole my 40 years of riding heart right away. It basically sold itself. It has power and torque to spare, looks great, and handles well. This baby is gonna be with me a while, and she's gonna get a lot of TLC, and see a lot of action. Eventually she will get custom paint because she is worth it. I would like her a little louder, but she growls nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from springfield I purchased a scout 2 weeks ago and I love it but decided to take a test ride on the springfield. Wow what a difference between the two bikes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Less is more I love this bike overall better ths any Indian I rode at the demo ride in Denton,TX hosted by Big Tex Indian. This bike has no stero, no GPS or fancy fairing. It has a windscreen and is a stylish cruiser/touring bike. It handled like a dream. It sounded just the way it should and for all it's simplicity it was far and away the best bike I rode. When it came down to it, I thought about the bike I rode in on (1999 Suzuki VL1500 LC Intruder C90). You dont miss what you never had. It has always been about the ride and the adventure. No gadgets just you and your motorcycle... That's why this was such a special ride. Everthing you need and nothing you don't.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This was a great bike! I test rode this bike at demo days and it is an amazing ride. It was easy to maneuver and very responsive. The ride modes were easy to change and sport mode is FIRE!!!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A few issues I purchased my 2017 Springfield used Nov. 2018. It had been 40 years since I last rode (1970 CB 750 Honda). The weight was intimidating at first, but I adjusted to it. Also, this is a cruiser as opposed to a superbike so it suited my needs better. The engine is noisy (clacker) and the vibration at higher rpm's distracting. I'm looking into the realm of alternative tuning but only if it doesn't interfere with my extended warranty. Steers and handles like a feather, making trips more comfortable. The only concern I have is the front end noise. When I get to cruising speed I pull in the clutch and release the throttle only to hear the metallic sounds emanating from the front wheel. Gonna take a look at the brakes and take off the wheel and inspect the bearing. Other than these issues I love this thing!
Date published: 2019-05-08
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great feel and smooth. I rode this on a demo day and really enjoyed it. I'm 5'10" and found the wind screen a little short. Power all day but wish they added a tacho so I could know the rev range of this thing. Even with the stock pipes it had a nice throaty sound. I also have 30" inseam and found the running boards a little to far forward. Really liked the bike and only have very minor issues with the fit.
Date published: 2019-05-07
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Two up demo. Took my wife for a ride. Buying the motor but upgrading to the touring seat, truck and backrest.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike! Almost 1 year now and love it as if it was the first. Fell in love with the Springfield the first time I laid eyes on one in Sturgis. 6,500 trouble free wonderful miles without any issues. This bike handles as if its a smaller bike but rides like a big cruiser. All the comfort anyone would ever need/want and the ability to strip down with no windshield or bags. Just beautiful bike that rides like no other.
Date published: 2019-04-30
Rated 4 out of 5 by from good looking bike bike looks good and rides nice lots of accessories available
Date published: 2019-04-28
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice ride but doesn’t make me “want it”. I demoed the Springfield at the Laughlin River Run. The ride included a very long steep incline of a couple of miles straight up the hill. This taxed my bike excessively. The suspension was a little soft, too, but it handled very well. I really liked the ergonomics. The bars, seat, and foot placement fit me great. I’m 5’8” and usually have to stretch to the bars but not on the Springfield!
Date published: 2019-04-28
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Feel This is my first bike. I was a bit nervous, being a brand new rider, to buy such a large bike but it is so balanced and rides well. Having hard bags that lock are a must for a woman. I've had people ask to take pics of my bike and people pull up along side of me to tell me how much they like it. I've been riding it for about a week and have put almost 400 miles on it. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 with 116 is a smooth beast. I rode the 2020 Chieftain Limited at a demo event at Fox Motorsports in Grand Rapids MI. In stock trim it was smooth with tons of torque. Wonderful machine. Great fit and finish. I appreciated the lowered rear suspension. It just keeps getting better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very comfortable Fantasic bike with amazing handling and smooth suspension. Only 2 small complaints...helmet buffeting, could use flip windshield. And a bit buzzy through the handlebars at highway speeds, could use rubber mounting or balanced engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rides like a dream I wanted to try the Chieftan in comparison to my 2016 Indian chief Dark horse. The three ride modes were great and the new seat is comfortable. We had a fantastic test ride and compared to the Harley Heritage 114 I test rode later, the Indian Chieftan was way more fun and more comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sweetheart of a bike!! Demo days rider 8-31-19. One I rode was a Gloss black and Chrome beauty. This thing rode like a Cadillac, Powerful 111 Motor, Smooth shifting, Very comfy seat, Minor vibration, But still the BEST of all the bikes I tried out of the Springfield Dark horse, FTR1200,Scout, Scout Bobber(Which I LOVE too), Cheiftan Dark horse 116, And the Limited. Do yourself a favor and try one if you get a chance.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Demo Ride Bad News for the Chiefsin The e-mail went out from my local BMW dealer ( who will be carrying the Indian line September/19) to test the 2019 Chieftain Limited. I thought , why not see how this machine stacks up against my BMW K1600B. While most demo rides are short and really don’t give you the “ full feel” for the bike the 30 minutes in the saddle gave me some immediate concerns. Engine performance: the Chieftain vibrates miserably at 4000 rpm’s!! I know there are vast differences between a six cylinder and a v-twin but come on this is way too much. Engine heat: the 30 minute produced a lot of it and was reminiscent of my ST1300. I wasn’t a fan of the ergonomics but to be fair to the Chieftain a longer prolonged ride would be needed to properly evaluate the controls. The K 1600 B is safe in my garage and has proven to be the far superior machine.I didn’t investigate price point but if they are close the BMW will give you a far better ride, better technology ,engine performance.and more options.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike! Bring on liquid cooling. I demo'd the Chieftain Ltd yesterday and it was a great ride. The engine feels and sound great, the chassis is excellent and the ergos are pretty much spot on. All it needs is liquid cooling as Euro 5 emissions restrictions approach, and to satisfy younger guys like me who grew up on sportbikes and standards and want a cooler running engine.

I've always ridden sport bikes and supermotos so this bagger was a whole different experience for me. Great handling, awesome ride quality, nice quiet rumble with the stock exhaust. The brakes are more than adequate, throttle response is great. However, gear shifting was a little clunky and could take getting use to. Overall this bike is the best bang-for-your buck.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best in class. Demo days in Maine. This is the best bike I have ever ridden. Love the look of the new saddle and is comfortable for the rider...if carrying a passenger you will want a different one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I was not expecting a smooth ride I went to the demo ride and right away when I saw the Indian Chieftain I just had to do It and take it for a spin. Getting on the bike I wasn’t expecting to be that well balanced I didn’t struggle and the handle bars are super smooth. I did not feel like I was forcing my body to steer the bike it handle well like a champ.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best decision i ever made! I bought this bike a little over a month ago and i have to say i will never go back to a Harley again. The handling and control is far beyond any other bike, so well balanced and the power of the 116 cu in engine is phenomenal. I can't say anything negative about this bike at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Dream Bike! This is my second Indian; I traded in a 2017 Chieftain Dark Horse for a 2020 Chieftain Dark Horse. These bikes are extremely nimble for being a heavy bagger. The 116 cubic inch engine has loads of power. You better hold on tight when you twist the throttle! Indian incorporated the rear cylinder disable feature for when you're sitting idle for a period of time, which really helps to keep the heat off of your legs. In terms of the onboard electronics; the user interface on Ride Command is extremely easy to use and customize. The speakers on this bike are 10 times better than the factory speakers on my 2017. The fork mounted fairing does an excellent job of keeping the wind out of your face. I upgraded my windshield to a Klock Werks flare, however, the factory windshield worked just fine in terms of wind buffeting. I really love this bike and I have gotten countless compliments and requests for photos since buying it in May. My only complaint is that the headdress on the front fender doesn't light up like it did on my 2017. Hopefully Indian will address that on future models.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from A few issues.... I bought this 2 months ago and I am not so happy. I love the bike but the battery completely died with 127 miles on the bike. The bike stalls on me constantly and it now only has 220 miles on it. The seat bolt was stripped (noticed it when I had to remove the battery for the shop to replace).

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Mirrors and Sound The mirrors look like two big bug eyes, not a fan. Pipes, shhhhh don’t talk I can’t hear my bike. Other than that, better than any Harley I ever rode.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice I love the bike. Surprised that there are still a few issues consistent with getting into 2nd gear early in the ride. It is ok once bike warms up. Would love to add Indian Accessories but too expensive. Items like genuine Indian rider backrest. Should not cost as much as they do.

2020 Indian Challenger Limited Thunder Black Pearl is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 145.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful I purchased the Challenger Limited because it was the best looking motorcycle I have ever seen. It rides better on two wheels than my truck on four. And it make me look good on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ruby Red Dream I have my bike for a couple of months now. Going from a HD Street Glide to this Indian Challenger was the best decision I have ever made. I can get back to hitting those curves faster and more control since it has a sport mode. Also helped with the issue I was having with my right hand going numb from so much vibration. Thanks Indian

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I didn’t just go with the name Harley Was undecided on which bike to purchase. Most of my friends and family ride Harley’s or Goldwings nothing against those bikes they just weren’t for me. Walked into Ridenow Concord didn’t know they had an Indian section. Once I saw the Challenger I had to have it. It come dressed enough for me not much chrome to add. Handles great and will out perform any bike on the market. It truly is in a class of its own

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Challenger Limited sets the bar!!! I just completed the 2020 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge on a 2020 Indian Challenger! This bike is flawless and now that it has over 10,000 miles on it, it seems to have gotten more powerful! I completed the 10,000 mile journey hitting about 40 states on mostly all secondary roads in 14 days. The final verdict... completing the 2020 Hoka Hey Motorcycle Challenge on an Indian Challenger is almost like cheating!!!

Date published: 2020-09-09
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike Full of features, great ride, and supper comfortable. The only down side is if you are on a trip and something goes wrong (like battery malfunction) the network is not very wide and you could ( as I did) get stuck on the side of the road with no help. Not a good experience for those of us who buy touring bike to accrually tour on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mind blowing I have been a devoted owner of the "other" brand for decades, however I craved to get more bang for my buck. So I took a chance with a new Indian challenger limited. This bike has exceeded every expectation, handling, power, ergonomics, and styling. Nearly 5000 miles in 45 days and I still haven't stopped smiling. It just keeps getting better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike!! I previously had a 2019 Indian Springield. Decided to test drive a Harley Road Glide Special before purchasing the Challenger LTD. Honestly, there isn't much comparison when it comes to the power and handling between the two. I'm extremely happy I stayed with Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike 3300 miles on my Limited that I bought in July and it's a joy to ride. Accelerates and handles great. It's a joy to ride every day. The stereo is loud enough to hear it at 90+mph. The adjustable windshield is something that I use far more often than I thought that I would. Overall it's a great package.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Precision machine, but a few minor bugs.. Bought in late June. Very comfortable out of the box. Minor software issues otherwise just need more seat time to learn all of its bells and whistles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's a Beast I've had the Challenger for just over a month now to replace a Road Master. A lot more power and better handling. It feels light and nimble when in tight turns and cornering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Ride Five weeks and 5000 kilometres later I am absolutely thrilled every time I start the bike. Light and nimble in the city and silky smooth pounding down the highway, the Challenger delivers on all fronts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The clear winner I bought my Challenger Limited in FL and promptly jumped on it and road to upstate NY. I came off a 16 HD Road Glide Special. The Challenger is so much better you almost can’t compare the two bikes. The Indian is faster, handles better, has more amenities is generally a better motorcycle in every aspect. The suspension is superb by comparison so I won’t have to spend a couple thousand extra to make it ride better. This Challenger is a winner!
Date published: 2020-08-14
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Bike! I traded in my '17 Victory Magnum for this Challenger. It was a wise decision. The torque and throttle response is great. I wasn't quite happy to hear the motor sound so, "Tonka toyish" when the cylinder shuts down to keep it cool. I get it cause all bikes get hot but, definitely go back in the lab for that. ..added some Tab Zombies, and Indian High performance intake...He sounds good! I'm a biker chic for life!! Might be an Indian girl for life if the line up gets better. Would love to see a 21" rim on the next Challenger..Why not?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The slickest bike I’ve ever ridden I’ve ridden thiis bike 900 km 20 hours of seat time never been more comfortable never has more power technology beyond your imagination. All you Harley riders do yourself a favor ride one and you’ll feel the difference. I owned a street glide for five years a road glide for eight years pales in comparison. Horse power pulling power passing power you won’t even believe how smooth it shifts. Brakes on a dime and leaves most in the dust the 30-60 is insane.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Touring Machine Traded my 18' Chieftain Limited (That I loved) for a 20' Challenger Limited. I really like the new bike but it's not quite perfect. Why did I trade bikes? 1. Liquid Cooled 122 hp engine is fantastic. I live in Arkansas so it's nice having the cooler motor in the warmer months. The power difference is tremendous. I had a stage 2 on the Chieftain and it just ran out of steam after 3500 rmp. Not the case with the Challenger. No need to upgrade anything from a performance perspective. 2. I'm 6'-2'' and I was always just a bit cramped on the Chieftain. The Challenger was designed for a taller rider and it fits me much better. 3.I love the new Tech with Traction Control and lean angle ABS. Safety is important! 4. iMotorsports made me a deal I couldn't refuse. Two weeks after I got the Challenger I took it on a 2600 mile road trip to the Black Hills in SD. The bike ran flawlessly. The performance, handling, and comfort were all 10 out of 10. My only issue was the new Ride Command system. It was pretty finicky and was missing some widgets from the old version that upset me. However, I just installed the new update and it not only fixed all the bugs, but it now includes Apple CarPlay which is fantastic. So an initial disappointment has actually turned into a plus. Good for Indian for getting that addressed quickly. The other feature that was helpful was the radar showing on the nav screen. Three times it helped us either avoid bad weather completely, or helped us make a decision to blast through a couple cells knowing it was clear just ahead. Finally, it was so comfortable I was able to ride 18 hrs (over 1,000 miles) straight home without ANY discomfort. I set the cruise at 92 going through SD and watched the miles fly by. The Challenger made it easy to do. FYI my fuel consumption was right at 45 mpg for the entire trip. Last year I got about 37 on my Chieftain. More power, AND better mpg, with a bigger tank was fantastic!! So are the any negatives about the bike? From my perspective these are a few cons I have with the bike. Not necessarily bad, just things I wish were a different. 1. Doesn't have the "soul" of my Chieftain. In other words, the Chieftain had a little more character to it which made me feel a little more connected to the bike. Difficult to describe, but if you ride one you'll know what I mean. The Challenger is just so smooth you lose a bit of the riding experience. To some that may be a plus. 2. Chieftain had a great sound to it with the stage 2 cams & exhaust. The Challenger...not so much. Sounds like it belongs in a library. Again, that was a plus riding 90 + for 8 hours, but I do miss the rumble of the Chieftain. Probably an easy fix with some different pipes. 3. Fit and finish not quite there yet on Indians. The paint just doesn't seem to be on par with other domestic brands. Tank seems to already have some swirl marks in it and I'm super careful how I clean it. The bags seem a little more flimsy than other brands and not as sturdy as the bags on my Chieftain. Feels like Indian took a step backwards in that area. Also the rubber gasket connecting the center piece on the tank almost looks like it's melting or has glue oozing out. Not really acceptable quality on a $28K bike. 4. Poor design (great location) of the analog gauges. Get into a little rain and the filled up and hold water. Fortunately the water stayed on the outside, but that could be improved. They fill up when you wash the bike too!! 5. There are many gaps in the front fairing that fill up with bugs. Kind of a pain constantly getting them out of there. Also the Indian logo on the front makes it difficult to wipe off the fairing because it snags your rag constantly. It looks good in the showroom but it needs to go!! So overall I'm very impressed with the Challenger, but like every bike it's not perfect. I realize it's a first year model and it just needs a few tweaks to make it almost perfect. Fixing some of the flaws is also part of the fun customizing it and making it your own. (That can just get expensive though) If your in the market for a new touring bike, you owe it to yourself to take one for a spin. There's no doubt you'll be be impressed. Hopefully this honest review will help you with your decision process. If you choose the Challenger I'm confident you'll get many smiles per mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The ultimate American made performance bagger! Just finished 5,000 miles after trip to Montana and Glacier. Performance and handling were outstanding, This bike is a dream to maneuver and is very responsive in all twist and turns, Brakes and tires help in making this bike so easy to ride in virtually all conditions. Ride command was outstanding and unlike past GPS I used this one extensively. I do wish they had a touring seat option. However, the bike was very comfortable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Challenger Limited I just came home from a 2500 mile trip through Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada and back home to California ridding 2 up and our gear! The Challenger was awesome and handled very well on the trip. The seat could use some improvement or I'm just getting old! Lol I also noticed that aerodynamics when hit with wind from the side there is no where for the wind to go as its all motor so hang on. I'm not disappointed at all with my purchase and I'm sure Polaris will make improvements on future Challengers. Great motorcycle and my wife loves the shock and is a extremely smooth ridding bike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power house, throttle rocking, nimble wild horse. This motorcycle has many attributes that are amazing. but out of the many motorcycles I had the pleasure of riding i don’t believe I had a bigger smile and uplifting feeling that gets you pumped and relaxes the mind like this bike! I traded in a victory Vegas 8ball and love the power plant on it and the equilibrium of the bike. And riding the challenger it doesn’t disappoint. Well balanced and plenty of power!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Indian Challenger I bought my Challenger on July 3, 2020 from Indian Motorcycle of Oklahoma City. They are a excellent dealership to work with and have treated me like family since the day I took ownership. I purchased the Base model Challenger because I loved the color and the price point was right in my budget. I did purchase the Ride Command add on for the weather and traffic overlay that does not come with the Base model. It was around 500.00 extra but well worth it. I followed the break in procedure that was recommended by Indian. I like my new Challenger a lot its has plenty of power and has a terrific ride with the Fox shock suspension. Ive already purchased a few accessories to personalize my bike. Well done Indian, keep up the awesome work..

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Base Challenger Bought this bike about a month ago. Happy for the most part. I was a little taken back to find out some of the ride command functions only work if you purchase Navigation. A recent update fixed the issue with the widgets not staying, but you can’t use the features of CarPlay if you don’t have navigation. This is a little disappointing for people who don’t need navigation but would like the benefits of CarPlay. The base model on all Indians with ride command should have the same capabilities without paying extra other than for the actual navigation maps. It really bugged me that I paid extra to install a garage door opener only to find out the widget disappeared every time I shut down. People with nav were fine. It took an update to fix that. Hopefully Indian will do the right thing and update CarPlay to allow use without nav. Other than those two issues I absolutely love the Challenger. Many mods installed, many more to go!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike I’m enjoying riding this Challenger so much that my other Indian has been sitting idle for 6 weeks. That will change today as I get back to time sharing. The Challenger is so smooth, shifts effortlessly and has absolute power to spare. The factory seat really surprised me as to how comfortable it is. 2nd day of riding I put on over 360 miles just to get my 500 mile service done. My next run was 498 miles and no back or monkey butt issues. I’d purchase this bike again in a heartbeat!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like this bike! This is a fantastic ride. Plenty of power, excellent handling and great ride. It's had 2 issues, Ride Command loses radio from time to time (understand they are working on software to correct problem) and there are chips in paint on fender strut which couldn't have been seen until bag was removed. I've had bike for bout 6 weeks and fast approaching 2000 miles. Great bike!!! Love the color!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the windshield. love this bike. Had for 2 weeks and put 965 miles on it. Use to have a Harley and don't even think we put that many miles on it. Love how smooth the Indian rides. The only downfall about this bike is there is no back rest for passenger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect Fit I moved up from a scout to the Challenger and could not be happier. I rode every Indian model and when I sat on the Challenger it felt as though it was designed for my body. The design and styling as well as the powerplant are on point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Made the switch from HD and couldn't be happier I bought mine about 2 months ago and have put almost 2000 miles on it. It handles better than my HD did and has alot more HP prior to any changes. You definitely get more for your money. All I have to say is once you ride it you will switch brands or upgrade to challenger immediately. To me the bike is a great mix of cruiser and sport bike

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GREAT BIKE I bought this a month ago. I now have 2,000 miles on her. By far the funnest bike I’ve owned. Would absolutely recommend. I traded in my Harley Davidson sport glide. The engineering on this bike is incredible. Very thought out and designed well. The weight of the bike is low so it deosnt feel like a 800 lb bike. Very agile and well rounded. Seriously go test ride one what do you have to loose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance and comfortable to cruise. After 1,100 miles and a GPS upgrade, I am 100% confident that I made the right choice. I knew I wanted to trade in my old bike for a bagger but did not know which one. After hours of internet research and a few test rides, I chose the Challenger base model. As a former sport bike rider, I was looking for performance and also a comfortable ride over long distances and Indian nailed it with the Challenger. I have the best of both worlds, and I'm looking forward to this summer and many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The bike I've been waiting for I have been waiting for years for this bike. After I bought my 2017 Chieftain Dark Horse brand new, i fell in love with the Indian brand. I started doing 400-500 mile days no problem. So then, it was "Man, if they ever make a fix fairing, I will have to have it". Little did I know the Challenger was going to be so performance based! So not only did I get a fix fairing bagger, but I got a highly capable one, that fits my riding style. The bike is quick, handles like a dream, so much so that some of my favorite roads are no longer my favorite, they just are so effortless on this bike. Even the base model stereo is decent enough that I didn't have to upgrade it right away. The slipper clutch makes it nice and easy on my hand on all day rides. The ONLY problem I have found, is the seat is beyond severely lacking. After about 75 miles, I was sore. After about 50, my girlfriend needed stops much more frequently. It offers little to no support. I fixed this with an aftermarket seat, and all is good again. I see myself owning this bike for a long time, and putting some serious miles on. My poor Chieftain looks sad and lonely parked next to my new favorite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Balanced I haven't had much seat time yet due to work. Break in service just completed and have a few scheduled rides over the next couple weeks. So far Im please with how the bike performs

Indian Challenger Dark Horse
Desde $27,999 Precio de venta sugerido por el fabricante en EE. UU.
2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 152.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great bike but Polaris needs to address stalling This is a great bike. I have owned over 80 motorcycles my life time. I started riding at 5 and I’m now 57. My only two grips are 1. The stalling, seems to be huge among those who purchased this bike. 2. The noise coming from the engine. I wouldn’t recommend this bike (love my chieftain) until Indian finds a solution to the above problems. I am in a National LEMC and most are awaiting for the problems of the challenger to be corrected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Some problems After only 300 miles bike wouldn't start, dead battery. Put it on a charger for a day and got it started then bike just shut off as I was riding. Got it started again and has been running ok.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best decision I've made in a long time. This is probably the best riding bagger I have owned. The power is outstanding. The liquid cooled engine is by far the best feature for me. I would encourage you to take a test ride and experience it for yourself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! Could not be happier! This bike is sick. Tons of power. Great handling. Really comfortable to ride and it has some pretty cool features like the adjustable windshield. I am entirely pleased with this purchase. Hope this review will help other female riders

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Really good but not great For a higher end motorcycle with quite a bit of state-of-the-art technology and an absolute ton of power, Indian has missed the mark, fallen short and has some issues with the new Challenger. What it is - beautiful, powerful, nimble and really comfy to ride. The issues I've personally experienced so far - dealership not taking care of know recall/bulletin issues before delivery such as the ECU needing flashed and issues with the throttle body balancing. I also had a scratched fairing (pretty badly) that needed replacing, GPS issues (post update and new maps installed) and still have throttle response problems and considerable engine noise. There are also numerous codes, lights and other weird notifications that honestly should not happen. An example is the chasis fault notice if you start the bike and it is moving at all. This doesn't affect riding, but annoying seeing a problem indicator lit up for something that's not really a problem. The only complete miss in my opinion on this motorcycle is using a cable style clutch rather than hydraulic. Also, why put silver brake/clutch levers on the Dark Horse model? They didn't do this on the Chieftan, they put black ones on. Bad choices Indian! Accessories? Forget about them! Nothing much is available for the Challenger (blame it on covid) but how annoying. Even helmets! We ordered 2 Indian helmets when we purchased this bike in July and they're saying it might be November 28th before we could possibly get them. Unacceptable!!! Once you get past and have the issues fixed, this really is a sweet machine! Powerful is nearly an understatement and you don't have to spend $4k - $8k more to get that power like you do for a Harley. One huge purchasing factor at least for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Some Bugs For the most part I am satisfied with the bike with a few exceptions. I continue to get a Chassis Alert and Indian can not tell me why. It seems to come on for a variety of reasons. Now I have an issue with the fan hitting when it runs. Not certain if it hits the shroud or the radiator yet but sounds metal on metal to me. This only happens when you open the throttle enough to give a little lift on the front end but concerning none the less. The bike is scheduled for maintenance so will know more following that. All this with less than 5000 miles, so hoping this will be the end of the surprises.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike!, only a few negatives I purchased last month and now over 4000 miles. Only complaints would be, 1. Throttle response from Idle needs work, 2. Compared to old bike I get noticeably more heat, 3. Slight issues with software (NAV not the easiest to follow and switching screens sometimes jumps two at a time).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bike converted me! I’ve always been a Harley guy, and I suppose I still am since I will never get rid of the one I have, but after test riding the Challenger I was blown away. I was riding my 2013 Street Glide when my buddy decided to pull into the Indian dealership. They had a few Challengers on the showroom floor, so I started checking them out. People say the Challenger is a Road Glide wannabe, but that couldn’t be farther from the truth. The Road Glide wishes it could be half of what this bike is. My Street Glide had over $12K in customizations to include motor and suspension work. The stock Challenger not only rides and handles better, it will blow the bars of my Street Glide right of the showroom floor. I traded my precious Street Glide in and haven’t looked back! This is the single best touring bike I’ve ridden - and I’ve ridden all of the American models.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 2020 Darkhorse Challenger Bought on 6-4-20 and have almost 11k miles on it now 8-14-20 Would buy this bike 100x over. I have some picky items I am going to describe later. First it is very comfortable and handles like a dream. Cornering and cruising is smooth. I'm 5-10 and weigh 225#. I installed the curved windshield, heated grips, stereo upgrade, rider backrest, and of course stage 1 performance. I managed to get about 3500 miles before the stage 1 and the performance pepped up and the mileage stayed pretty close to same at 45mpg. That is sport mode or standard too. Tires are holding up well too. Should get 15k out of them I guess. The windshield doesn't rattle and goes up to help on 70mph roads. The weather layer on the screen is awesome! Now for my pickiness. The headlight was upgraded to Eagle and the battery was upgraded to Renegade. I got a case of Indian oil when I bought the bike. Did 600mi with Indian 100% synthetic. Did it again at about 4500 miles with Indian 100% synthetic. Also up until recent oil change at 9500 used last 2 Indian quarts and used Amsoil for 3 remaining quarts. Upper end ticking gone now! Also at 9500 i noticed filter had o-ring sealfrom the filter innards in backflow valve. Explains startup ticking! Now going to do next oil change with 100% Amsoil and Wix 51358xp. The GPS cant find destinations wven with the address punched in including city and state. Had a playlist search for Pandora on my 15 chieftain but not 5 years later on my Challenger. I am stuck with what I choose on my phone until I stop. Can I permenantly get rid of the auto powerdown? That adds to frustration when fighting with the GPS if you dont remember to disable it each time. Maybe give a longer delay like 15 minutes? The battery shouldn't go dead that soon with LED's. Speaking of GPS again the weather layer is great! Can you add a satellite view like Google Maps does? Landmarks make travel easier. Funny how straight roads have distances to continue to the same road and give yet another distance. Again those are my opinions but really would finish the bike giving it the thouroughness $28k warrants. Recommend a test ride to everyone and you will be fighting the urge to buy one. PS when is Stage 2 coming? Lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Indian Challenger White Smoke Dark Horse Love the ride, power and handling! I had to go with reduced reach handle bars. The bars are not available in black so I decided to introduce some red & chrome. Indian needs to offer some other choices in seats. Possibly a solo seat in leather!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth, Powerful, and Comfortable! I bought this bike about 2 months ago. I previously had a 2015 Indian Chieftain. The chieftain was a very nice bike, however it was just a little cramped in the leg area. Test drove a Challenger and found it had a bit more of leg room. I really like the fairing, gps, and wind screen features.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Best motorcycle I've ever own I have the challenger for a bit less than 2 months now with aroud 4000km on it. Overall, I really like the bike. It's fun to ride on complex road, have enouph power to pull my ''larger shape'' and have fun. The equipement is great, look like the latest technology on the market. The liquid cooled engine with the stop cylinder is aswome in the trafic/hot wather. The suspension is perfect especially the adjustment for the rear. It's really a performance bagger with cool gadget. The minus. I'm under the impression the ride command 2 was not fully ready when they lunch it. There is bugs everywhere, it crashes alot, weather function don't really work, it take too much time to boot, soud is blasting when you start the bike, the connexion with the cell phone don't really work. There is a rumor that a major update is comming with apple car play and android auto. It's seems to have been planned for a wile, because it is mentionned in the instruction manual. The ECU is very fragile to pop up a warning if something wrong even if it's minimal. After my first service, they installed my air intake that was backorder. I had a check engine about a month after that. The tech said there was like 900 codes that pop-out. The bike was felling great. He just erased the codes and everything went well so far. I'm not the first one to mention it, but the passenger backrest need to be pushed further back. I have made it modified in a welding shop to push it back 2in, I also made a custom seat because the original one is garbage for a person of my weight. When we took off the cover, there is a void enouph big to put a water bottle in it. This is one of the reason I was under the impression I was sitting directly on the pan after a long ride. Would I recommend the bike? You bet! It as more personality than a goldwing but to have the same confort, you have to make some modifications to the seat and backrest in my opinion.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent job Indian I bought my Indian 6 weeks ago and already logged 5,400 fun miles on her. Moved from a Road Glide CVO due to engine power, braking and suspension superiority. Power windshield and stereo clarity were bonuses though just upgraded to Powerband! Stage 1 upgrade seems to eliminate a slight mapping blip on the low end of throttle and sounds much better with the new cleaner, slip on and map. Stock sounds a little too much like a sewing machine at idle IMO. No issues at all with the ride and the only other downside for me has been a lot of gremlins in the Ride Command software. It won't play Apple Nano at all. Nor will it play my iPhone via the USB plug without seriously glitching the system. Bluetooth seems to work well but need additional power source for phone then. Rumored CarPlay functionality would be great but haven't seen any upgrades along those lines as of yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride from the first mile. I’ve always rode Harley’s until now. Finally the Roadmaster had a color I liked (Blue and White). Once I saw it. I bought it. Stock from the factory, heated grips, heated seat, remote storage locks, detectable tour pack, and so much more that cost extra with Harley. The Indian is so much easier to handle. The Indian even has more power off the show room floor than the Harley. The Indian touchscreen has much more features. The only complaint is it didn’t come with a heal shifter. However, I hear the Harley’s don’t now either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Ride! Went from THE best handling touring bike (H-D Road King) to this, and was surprised that it handles almost as well. The few degrees of less reach on the forks gives it more responsiveness at speed, but makes slow parking lot turns a little trickier. Once I get a few more months of riding in I'm sure I'll be flipping thru those slow turns like a pro. My one complaint is that I took delivery and discovered that the road command module needs to be replaced. It's obviously a warranty item, but it was a serious disappointment that this escaped Polaris's QC. I also had some serious issues with my dealership's service department, but this has no bearing on this review, and they have taken measures to making it right - so kudos to them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike Bought it about a month ago. Have put about a thousand miles on it, mostly on twistes and accidentally about 15 miles on a muddy, slippery gravel road two up. Bike handled well and was quite comfortable. Glad I made the purchase. There are a few issues that need improvement. The need to go online to find out how to use some of the Features of the Ride Command system. Still haven’t been able to find out how to delete rides that I installed and used. The person or persons that designed the battery placement needs to replace a 1000 batteries personally. Having to remove the trunk, seat, and computer to access the battery is not a very intelligent design. The side stand is also placed too far forward or needs to have an extension so that it can be retrieved easily. Overall I prefer the Roadmaster to any of the Harleys currently available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Big but Nimble In the breakin period - so taking it a bit ez I love the tourqe and how the bike lays down the power - I also have a 1600B BMW and this big Indian bagger handles just as well . I was surprised. Was concerned that the talk about engine heat was real- man it was worse than my Harley RK Then I realized I had the seat heater on - now that I’ve read the manual , and heater off, no issue !

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommended bike I bought my Roadmaster about 3 months ago and have around 2000 miles on it. I am extremely impressed with this bike. It handles very well and the power is unbelievable. The only complaint I have so far is the stereo system. The radio reception is poor and I lose contact with my phone while using bluetooth for music. Other than that I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from electronics and performance Bought while in Sturgis, had the stage 1 and 2 done. Runs so much better than my 2018 Roadmaster but the electronics went backwards. And the new luggage rack sucks. But other than that best bike ever so far.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Roadmaster I have had a Yamaha Stratoliner, Kawasaki Vulcan, Harley Davidson Road Glide and two Honda Goldwings. So far, I like my 2020 Roadmaster the best, as a all around motorcycle. It is very fun to ride and with all of the options and electronics it is at an higher end of motorcycles. Fit and finish is great and I love the sound and power from the 116 engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike !!! 2020 Roadmaster Dark Horse 2000k on it since September 14th. Bought the Bike from Head Motorsports, Columbia, MO. Best experience I have had buying a bike, period!! This bike is a BEAST !! The only complaint is the Kick stand is WAY to far forward.. I'm 5-10" and have to lean in to bring it back, not good... Overall, best decision I have made...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Options The multipal standard options on the Road Master are exceptional. Plus the ride is the best we've experienced when comparing it to our previous bikes including, Yamaha. Honda, Suzuki and 2 Harley-Davidsons.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike I looked into buying a Bike 3 months ago and I found this at Clarksville Indian (CC MOTORSPORT). It had almost 1500 miles because it was in 2 bike shows. I could not be any more happy with this Roadmaster. The extras that are on this bike makes it stand out.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good features and overall ride Bought this a month ago and had a switch fail within the first week. Now periodically show engineer light but doesn’t look like anything is wrong. There are also a couple of Torz bolts that are stripped and cannot install the arm rests I purchased with the bike.
