Pairing Your Cardo® Headset

Indian Motorcycles require a headset pairing to access Apple CarPlay. A headset pairing can also be used to listen to turn-by-turn navigation, music, and to answer phone calls, though it is not required as these features can be listened to through the motorcycle's speakers.

You can pair multiple headsets to your motorcycle, but only one headset can be connected at a time. After the vehicle is powered on, nearby charged headsets that have previously been paired to the motorcycle will automatically connect.

Note: Bluetooth® pairing is disabled when the vehicle is moving.

A full list of supported devices includes both Cardo® and Sena® brands. For more information regarding a Sena® headset, read Pairing your Sena® Headset.

Supported Cardo® Headsets Compatible with Indian Motorcycle

  • Cardo® PACKTALK BLACK
  • Cardo® PACKTALK Slim
  • Cardo® PACKTALK Bold
  • Cardo® FREECOM 4x

Your Cardo® headset has two Bluetooth® channels for connection to Bluetooth® devices such as mobile phones, GPS devices, and Bluetooth® music players with A2DP. A2DP refers to a Bluetooth® profile that is capable of wireless audio streaming between two devices.

To connect your unit to a Bluetooth® device, you must first pair them. Once paired, they automatically recognize each other whenever they are within range.

Important: If you are pairing more than one device, Cardo® recommends that you pair the mobile phone to channel 1, and the additional device to channel 2. If you are pairing the unit to more than one mobile phone, the phone paired with channel 1 is the default phone for outgoing calls.
