SURPRISINGLY QUICK & AGILE
This bike is very impressive. Good fit and finish. Good suspension (Sachs). Quick. Nimble.
Don't really see the need for the upgrades since the performance is identical and I knew I'd be dumping the stock exhaust - yes even the Akropovic - immediately. Upgraded Red frame looks like a Ducati wannabe. Lovely, though. But I have a Ducati.
Major Gripe: The kickstand placement is ridiculous.
Nit-picks: The buttons/controls too tiny for gloved (or ungloved to be frank) hands and not particularly intuitive. The mirrors are so-so. Very few aftermarket parts. No real fairings/windshields available.
In spite of this stuff, still rate the FTR as excellent, unique handsome design. Is surprisingly fast and quick, too. For the record, I currently own nine other motorcycles 2014 or newer - and have owned 34 in the last 10 years. This bike is really exceptional.

The essence of motorcycling.
Going on 2 months ownership after looking at them for 3 years. It’s powerful, gobs of arm ripping torque, smooth fast, refined brutally in a VTwin. Handles much like a sport bike with a realistic comfortable riding position. Fantastic machine and as my wife says “ it’s sexy” Unlike any motorcycle Inhave owned or ridden.

Picked up my new FTR a couple months ago and love this bike! After a few tweaks and mods the thing fits me perfect. The power is amazing and the handling is way better than i expected. Can't wait for the good weather so i can get some longer rides in. Great bike!

Problematic bike
I got 2022 FTR in September 2021, the battery died on me within 20 days, check engine light came on, the engine started getting too hot. My motorcycle is at dealer for a week now and still have no idea what's wrong with it. Brand new motorcycle should not have this issues. I went with Indian motorcycle thinking it would be great. Within a month of purchase motorcycle has so many issues. I wish I could have gone with Harley.

You won’t regret it
Wild and rowdy, this thing will leave you feeling so alive. Feels at home cruising alongside both sport bikes and cruisers/baggers. With plenty of safety features to keep up with modern bikes and a taste of that old school retro tracker look. The bikes been an absolute blast.

Super Fast, Sounds Like A Scooter
This is my first bike, and although I have nothing to compare it to, it's awesome. The weight of this bike in combination with the high horsepower motor make it unbelievably fast. The torque is fantastic. The only downside is that the stock exhaust is terrible. It literally sounds like a scooter going down the road. My weed wacker is louder that this bike. I broke down and bought the high mount Akrapovic pipes and it still sounded like a purring kitten. That was until I discovered the removable baffles. With only n having to drill one hole, I removed the baffles and unleashed the full potential of these ridiculously expensive pipes. It now sounds like something I'm proud to ride. In the pictures you will see that I bought the OEM Plugs to fit in the holes I drilled to remove the baffles. And make sure to remove the stupid rear turn signal bar and license plate holder. Thanks for reading.

A mechanical beast not lost in refinements
I’m not going to talk about features because you can look them up. The most important thing about the FTR for me is it's still a very much mechanical creation and is not overly refined with super smooth everything. It feels just refined enough and components on it are of top quality, but it still feels like a mechanical beast. This is why I opted for the base model with no ride modes or TC. The engine is a little rough sometimes, but is unmistakably an American v twin in both raw performance and character, it makes you feel awesome. Throttle response and especially clutch feel are very good on the FTR. The only real complaint I have is the size of the fuel tank, but this is more of a fun back roads ripper rather than a touring model.

Great Bike, Upright ride
Was able to buy a 2022 Rally and put 900 miles on it very fast. Overall great bike that is just missing some key features. The tank is small and if going over 65 mph you’ll only get 100 miles to the tank. Charging port should be standard on a Rally. Bike has an upright riding position similar to fz-09/ triumph speed triple. Cool cruiser but I’d definitely test ride one first

Fun bike for the East Tennessee region
I've owned the bike for a bit over a month now. As is my practice, I took it down to the tail of the Dragon to scuff in the tires first thing. I immediately felt comfortable, and planted. All you have to do is have your head in the right spot, and the FTR follows. I have taken other riders along for trips along the Cherohala Skyway, and Foothills Parkway. The FTR makes these roads so relaxing. The visual effect this bike has is stunning, it draws attention everywhere I take it. I love that Indian went top shelf on the components for this bike with the result being not much to upgrade.

FTR R CARBON 2023
I can't say enough good things about this bike. It does it all. Never did drive the sportster but can't imagine I would like it more. The only issue is she doesn't like a cold start, but who cares. Sound, power, agility, looks, upgraded sus and exhaust stock, sticky rubber, tech, comfortable but not lazy, incredible.

I love it!!!
I work at the dealership I ordered from. I think this bike is better than the 2023 model. It is the perfect bike. Super comfortable yet aggressive riding position, plenty of torque and power, and the best style I've seen out of any bike. I've put nearly 500 miles on the bike in a couple weeks. The color is awesome, the blacked out exhaust and square touch screen are preferable to the '23's chrome exhaust and circular touch screen. It isn't the loudest bike ever, but the exhaust is in my personal sweet spot of noisy/quiet balance. It won't wake up neighbors in the middle of the night, but you can be heard on the road. All in all, a well earned 5 stars from me.

2022 FTR Sport - Just Plain Fun
There was still a 2022 FTR Sport on the floor just over two ago with great incentives. I love this bike. Perfect for the twistys and short commutes. Positives; This bike is just plain fun. Do not test ride unless you are in the market for another bike. It will hook you in.
Negatives ;
My seat tore in the first few days but the are replacing under warranty and the fuel capacity is way too small, range is like 100 miles.

I bought the 2022 FTR-S in October. It’s an excellent ride. Great in the twisties with a comfortable riding position. Plenty of power with a lot of cool features. This is the first bike I’ve had with a digital display. I really like Ride Command and the adjustability it offers in the riding modes.

Small but Powerful!
I am 4'11.5" so I wanted a bike with a low seat height; however, the low center of gravity is what the deciding factor was. This little jewel was small enough for me to feel comfortable as my first bike ever, yet powerful enough for me not to outgrow it for years to come. The only thing I wish it came with in the U.S. is the fork lock, and usb port.

Excellent First Bike
My first new bike and I couldn't be happier. Throughout my journey, I knew I would be looking for a bike that fit. One that I could feel comfortable and safe riding, but that would still give a powerful and free feeling. Something that I could handle, but still grow in too over time. This was and is the perfect bike. I call him Stormy...he is a little temperamental. He is powerful, beautiful, sexy and strong. There is a sense of mystery about him and each time I take him for a ride, the thrill is indescribable.

This is my first bike. I absolutely love it. It is fun to drive and easy to learn on. It has power to spare. I bought the storm blue ABS version. My only complaint was the destination and handling fees were high. But I could not be happier with the final product. It turns heads. I have found people taking pictures of it more than once. I absolutely love driving it.

I bought this month ago and it’s very fun to ride I like how you can hear and feel when switching gears satisfying clunk noise, highly recommend crash bars saved me 4 or 5 times now, Motorcycles pretty quiet with stock mufflers which I like I’d rather not ruin my neighbors mornings but scout has a good aftermarket for loud exhaust

Great cruiser
I bought the 2022 Indian scout abs brand new. First impression is how nimble this bike is. If you want a cruiser that corners great and will set you back as you call on the throttle then this is what you’re looking for. I’m not to enthusiastic about the shocks or the seat. Honestly it needs to be addressed. Out of 5 stars I’d say 4.5

A perfect fit!
I attended a Demo Days at an Indian dealership last fall. Each ride was about 20-25 minutes. I tested out the Bobber, the Rogue and the Scout. All three bikes are definitely different from one another. I knew within the first two miles of riding the Indian Scout that it was the perfect fit for me at 5'-10" and 59 years old. I've ridden sport bikes since I was 18. What a difference! The Scout has plenty of power, has good ergonomics and sensible layout, rides smoothly, and looks fantastic! It's perfect for me!

I decided that 450 a month was ridiculous for gas to drive my truck to and from work. I had always wanted to ride but never learned. Those gas prices justified me getting a bike. Love this ride!
I’ve had the bike for only about 2 months, but I LOVE THIS BOKE! It’s beefy, mysterious look, only adds to the awesome power and handwringing of this motorcycle, it’s not my primary source of transportation… but it’s working its way to retiring my Chevy High-Country Truck. This bike is just a lot of fun to ride and it’s powerful!

Amazing motorcycle with a Batmobile kind of look
I bought this motorcycle a couple of months back and I have already clocked a 1000 miles. This motorcycle rides amazingly smooth and as well makes that truly Indian sound with the double silencers. The low stance gives it a Batmobile look, and turns heads everywhere I go. Even Harley owners ask me about my motorcycle and want to test ride it.

Bobber scout
I was upgrading bikes, and I wanted to something faster and venture out of BMW. I test drove the scout and I just loved it, and the bobber look is very slick. The metallic maroon smoke is hands down the nicest color, I would switch out the headlight for the scout pathfinder looks nice and LED’a are nice fire night rides, definitely upgrade the seat the stock seat is just horrible!

Amazing beginner bike
I decided that 450 a month was ridiculous for gas to drive my truck to and from work. I had always wanted to ride but never learned. Those gas prices justified me getting a bike. After a bit of research and talking to friends who do ride, I decided to go with Indian over that other American brand. I have not been let down at all. From purchase 2 months ago to now I have enjoyed everything about this bike. It's super fun to ride with just enough pep to keep me honest about my skill level.

Perfect cruiser!
The Indian Scout Rogue is the perfect cruiser.
The Indian Scout is a great platform and it only got better with the Rogue. Compliments like thick grips and 10" ape hangers create for a very comfortable rider position. The 100 horses doesn't disappoint and the 1133cc twin sounds great with loud pipes!

Wonderful bike!!! Eye catcher for sure!!
This bike is a beauty! I rode sport bike my whole life so I love the sporty feel to the Scout Rogue. It's been a fun transition for sure. The bike handles well and has a peppy motor.
The only cons are the stock seat, halogen headlight, and stock exhaust.
The stock seat has a comfortable riding position but got really uncomfortable after only about 30 minutes. After an hour almost unbearable. I replaced with the OEM 2 seater. It's more comfortable, but pushes you closer to the tank, so it's not as comfortable of a position.
The halogen headlight is dangerously bad at night. The bright light is ok, but the low beam is so bad.
The stock exhaust was ok but really quiet. I felt invisible in traffic and it the sound never really grew on me like I was hoping.
But the Pros far outweigh the cons. It's a fun, old school, motorcycle. No bells and whistles that take your focus away from the ride. I get compliments every time I ride. It's a beautiful ride for sure!

Great bike!
I was unfamiliar with the Indian Scout line of bikes and ended up at a dealership with a friend is how I discovered it. I noticed the Scout Rogue and was completely blown away at the looks, balance, and price of such a great looking bike. I ended up trading the bike I had just purchased for one a few weeks later. Only two complaints I have on it is the halogen headlight should be LED from factory as it is so hard to see at night, and the rear shocks are very harsh so I did upgrade to a better set. I am loving the bike and must say it is one of the best looking production motorcycles I have ever seen. Indian did a great job with the Rogue model and I plan to keep this bike for a long time to come.

My Rogue 60 loves RPMs but is very happy on the interstate at 70 miles an hour in the mid-3000s. The café faring looks nice but doesn’t do much. However the 18-inch front wheel makes handling a breeze. Also, the seat on the Rogue is much more comfortable than the seat on the Bobber. If you’ve ridden Harleys before you’ll be used to the clunky transmission and pre-loading the shifter. Be very careful with aftermarket exhaust, I put on Vance and Hines and it was WAY too loud. The rear shock travel is only about 2 inches and will literally kick your butt when you hit a major bump - definitely NOT recommended for two-up riding. It will cost you at least $1000 to change the rear suspension and probably another grand in passenger seat, pegs, etc. Hey, it’s a cruiser, deal with it. Styling is absolutely fabulous! Looks much better than any of the new Sportsters. Finally, I had an LED headlight put in it by Indian before I even picked it up.

Nice cruiser for a novice
Ordered this bike from my local dealership. I initially went to the dealership to test drive the FTR. But then saw a Gray Scout Rogue and test drove that. It rode really nice and felt this is the one. Only dilemma was I liked the bronze pearl color, so I ended up ordering that. In case you didn’t know that color only comes on the Sixty. I’m a seasoned rider and believed the 78hp would be enough for me. Unfortunately it wasn’t. I should have gone with the 100hp Rogue or the FTR. Don’t get me wrong, this is one cool ride. If I had this for my first cruiser, it would be perfect! I do get compliments, but I need something with more power. Again, great bike for a novice rider.

2023 Indian Scout Rogue is a great ride!
The Rogue is great! It turns heads everywhere. However, there is a high pitched electrical noise that coming from the bike that caused a person in the next to me at a light to ask, "Is that your bike? It doesn't sound good." The rear suspension is not the best, and the lean angle takes some getting used to before you stop scraping the pegs. The engine has more than enough power for any rider and the ride position is very comfortable. Overall, you will not regret getting this bike. It is an excellent motorcycle for new and experienced riders!

Great bike, terrible support
Nine months to get bike, still fighting a year later to get the right parts.
Over all happy with the ride of the bike, but that's it. It showed up in the winter with chrome pipes with the promise of being made right with black incoming. I've been fighting ever since to get them, now after a year still no luck. I can't seem to even get a phone call back from customer service. The bike no has 5000 km on it, sitting at the dealer waiting to fix an oil leak between the motor casing, as well as a recall on fuel pump.
Wouldn't recommend indian to anyone at this point, its a shame because I really like the bike overall.

Great Test Ride
Test rode a Chief yesterday and was impressed. Handles great, comfortable suspension and seat, plenty of power for a lighter bike, and it just feels good! The only complaint I might have is the 4 gallon fuel tank. I would love to see a 5 gallon tank instead, but that's just me. With its existing tank, it would be more challenging to tour out west where gas stations can be over 170 miles apart on certain 2-lane roads! Choice of accessories is adequate but pricy. But overall, a very fine, well-engineered motorcycle that should many years of enjoyment.

Coming from sport bikes and racing on tracks, I never thought I’d buy a bike like this. One demo day later, I was hooked. The tech, the style, the power.. all add up to nothing but smiles when riding the Chief Dark Horse
Even my wife loves to take rides with me. It’s an amazing motorcycle with timeless design. My only complaint would be the gas cap and levers! It needs to be black to complete the “dark” look.

CDH BadAss
The Good-
I started my motorcycle Journey April 2022 visiting Harley & Indian dealers around my area. Based on the history and the charismatic look I knew I wanted an Indian. Harley didn’t appeal to me at all. After figuring out what was a right fit for me (Chief, Scout, etc.) I saw a Chief Dark Horse and fell in love.
I ordered my Chief Dark Horse on 7/2/22, delivery date was 11/18/22. I love the look, sound and power of the CDH Black Smoke. The ride command is awesome too! Cosmo Indian delivered my CDH 11/18/22, it was an early Christmas! I’ve been riding high ever since.
The Bad-
No Matt black exhaust pipes. I did know/was told this when I ordered. However 2023’ came in 2 weeks later with black pipes.
The Ugly-
4 month order (at-least) based on bike and color.
I understand there are supply/material and maybe labor issues Polaris/Indian is dealing with. Hopefully my next one will be a quicker turn around.
After all said and done, I’ll do it again. Indian is killing it with a Innivative look, colors, power and price point.

Amazing Ride
I bought my bike a few weeks ago when MCI had a get together at the dealership, and I had been eyeing my bike for a few months. So far I haven’t gotten to 1901mi yet but I’m close. I ride anytime I can, and thankfully in Nashville and the surrounding areas the area , there are so many bike worthy roads it’s not even funny. I love the power I have in my ride, and the way it feels on the road is perfect. I have no complaints abt it. All I have is praise for the bike. Then again, it is my dream Bike!

2022 Chief Bobber
I bought my bike a year ago anf put 2300 miles on it. Honestly I love my bike but it is very frustrating to purchase anything for it. Scout parts do not fit and typical chief parts do not fit so customizing your bike sucks!! Indian parts are cra y expensive and not really my style. I know its a new style but it would be nice to have more options. I was frustrated that my bike came with a chrome heat sheild and black slip ons. Looks bad. Has one chrome break lever and one aluminum. I addressed this with Indian and was ignored. I know there was a parts shortage and still is but come on i bought a new bike give me the correct parts. Making the rear fender just a bit longer would be nice. The first thing to do is get a new exhaust factory sound is terrible.

Fun bike
I bought my Bobber 2 months ago. I love how torky it is and easy to manuver. If I could change something it would be how close the shift peg is to the foot peg. Also, if you cant get floor boards its not comfortable for very long. After awhile your hands cramp up from the stock grips...replace them. I was very disappointed in how much plastic is on it and how ugly the intake cover is. Indian is not known for not cutting corners but there is too much black plastic on it. It is very hard to find parts to upgrade. Please make a intake cover to replace the black stock. Not everyone can upgrade to a stage one. Why the black slip on with chrome on the exhaust? And the stock exhaust is crazy quiet! Over all i love it just disappointed in so much plastic on it and did not realize it until i started working on it. Wish there were bags that were wider the stock bags are long and thin.

The ultimate bobber
An excellent motorcycle, I am very glad I bought it.
I can highlight the defects and the virtues.
Defects:
1. The cooling system is deficient, with an engine of that size in traffic it becomes a real boiler, I do not understand why the smallest and cheapest Indian engines have liquid cooling and the largest ones do not.
2. To hear the true sound of the engine you need to buy the stage one of the indian brand, they should sell it from the factory together with the motorcycle even if it costs a little more expensive, literally all the indian owners complain about the same thing and we all end up buying exhausts from another brand.
Virtues:
1. The technology is vastly superior to any other cruiser
2. The suspension is the best currently, there is no smoother cruiser.
3. The design is absolutely beautiful, it will draw attention wherever you go.
4. The overall driving experience is amazing.
In conclusion, excellent work INDIAN MOTORCYCLES and POLARIS please continue to amaze us with your excellent vehicles.

absolutely love this bike. i immediately upgraded to the stage two kit so some points on my review could be a slightly different experience from others. however, i honestly feel like everyone just NEEDS to bite the bullet and make that upgrade but i won't linger on that. the sound was good preupgrade but after the upgrade it's 100% on point (it crackles and pops so good). been riding it for about seven months now and it runs like a dream every time.
p.s. got some great saddle bags from an italian company i found on line called ends cuoio, received them relatively fast. they are very well constructed and look amazing. i mention this for anyone looking for the same. cheers.

I'm two months in. I rode a lot as a teenager, took the classes and got my license. I finally pulled the trigger. I ride early on Saturday and Sunday to avoid traffic. This bike is amazing. Fast, fun, solid, old school looking but with the latest tech. I can't take it anywhere without people asking about it, even the Harley guys like it. Thank you to Russle at Indian of Denver in Lakewood for taking such great care of me.

I want to say first that the dealership in OKC is fantastic and the people there are the best I have ever delt with. The bike itself is great as far as the build quality, engine, suspension, brakes, and handling. I love the uniqueness and styling of Indian and feel the Superchief is a great value for the money and handles very well.
I test rode the bike and had a ton of wind buffeting. I mentioned this to someone at the dealership and they suggested an aftermarket flared windshield. I liked the bike so much aside from this issue I went ahead with the purchase.
I had an enormous amount of wind buffeting with the windshield attached. So much that it makes for blurred vision and a very uncomfortable ride at speeds above 50-55 mph. I purchased the bike anyway with the idea that I'd be able to combat this issue with an aftermarket flared windshield. I purchased an 18' flared shield from freedom shields and it did not help.
After speaking to the dealership about the ongoing problem, they suggested the buffeting may be coming from under the windshield. The problem is this: Indian does not manufacture any lower wind deflectors that mount to the Superchief. Also, aftermarket wind deflectors are also incompatible due to the fork covers and the fact that the turn signals are fork mounted. I am writing this in hopes that Indian will read this and come up with a solution. (Maybe manufacture brackets that screw into the existing windshield mounts?) I love the bike at SLOW speeds and hope to find a solution soon. Indian does offer a lot of accessories and shields but nothing to address the wind coming from below when it comes to the superchief.
Again, the bike (as in the machine itself) is great and the people at the OKC dealership are some of the friendliest and nicest people in the business. I just need some help with the wind problem so I can enjoy the ride at highway speeds!!! If you're reading this Indian...please help!

Decent
I purchased the Super Cheif a month ago. It has been fun riding! Some issues with rough running. Accessories are impossible to find at this time, so that is disappointing. I do like the way the bike handles except at slow speeds. It is jersey and rides poorly.

Best thing I ever bought for myself.
Early January I stopped in to the local dealership just to have a look and maybe sit on a few bikes. I had interest in the new Scout bobber but a pearl white Super Chief caught my eye. It was dressed and available that day. I jumped on and haven't wanted to get off since. Love this bike, the torque and smooth power is better than I expected. I might get the Stage 1 air intake and pipes for the richer sound but don't feel the need for any further changes.

I bought my very first Motorcycle in USA, and it is the Indian Super Chief Limited. It is a powerful beast on the road. It is so stable and soft, and the Sound is great with the original pipes.

I really enjoy riding this 2022, Super Chief, Limited. Had a Roadmaster. This 116 has 20% more power and 25% less weight. The Sport mode was just too uncivilized at first. But I enjoyed the responsive throttle so much I just kept trying. Now I just never use 1st gear and we get along much better. The torque is so great it doesn't matter. If you grab a handful of throttle you better be holding on.

Fast, Agile and Comfortable
Purchased this a couple of months ago after riding my wife’s (same model and year) and found it to be one of the best bikes ever. It is fast, comfortable Zero aches after full day rides, and I can turn the bike on a dime. This is the perfect combo bike for long distance and day rides. We are averaging 50 MPG and the 4.3 gal tank gets us at least 200 miles ( owners manual reflects 4.3 not 4 gal tank).

I picked up my Super Chief Ltd in Scottsdale, having had their Dyno brake-in allow me to cruise right out of the showroom! I could easily whip my cruiser buddies on Devil's Highway and those really cool backroads up through Durango, Moab, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Bryce and Zion Nat Parks. All I can say is wow, what an incredible 1,650 miles to begin my new riding ventures!!!

My Suprr Chief Limited
I ordered my Chief February 7th, thinking it would be in and ready to be picked up in a couple of months. Actually, the bike arrived at the dealership, June 1st, I called, they said I could pick it up in a couple of days. I rode the bike home, about 90 miles. Needless to say, it's everything I hoped it would be, powerful accelleration, extremely well balanced very easy to ride. The brakes are dramatic, hauling the bike down from 60 mph to almost nothing when a car pulled out in.front of me. It's amazing the 116 engine with all the power you could ever hope for is getting 48 mpg. I did a 100 mile short trip yesterday. When I was done, I was not tired at all. I would be riding farther but I can't bring myself to get the unbroken-in Chief out in the 105-110 real feel temps we are currently experiencing here.
I would recommend this bike to anyone.

Great tech, great looks , great motor
Bought in January , love it, love the looks and the power . but was a little disappointed with initial advertising showing the Super Chief Limited with all the touring accessories. My biggest beef was it s advertised at a light touring bike , so why the bobbed fenders, don’t like to get my back wet. And didn’t like I have to buy all the touring accessories, especially with the price tag.

Beautiful Ride
I have owned an Indian Chief Vintage which I purchased new in July of 2017. It is a fantastic bike. The best I've ever owned. I especially enjoy the smooth, powerful torque the engine and drive train produce. My Vintage is the perfect bike for short or long rides.
Over the years I have attended numerous Americade Rallies as well as demo days at my local dealership. Accordingly, I have had many opportunities to also test ride other Indian Motorcycle models. I started to enjoy riding the Springfield more and more and ultimately I purchased one a few months ago. Now I have two Indian Motorcycles. My biggest problem is deciding which one to ride!!!

I bought the Springfield six weeks ago and have over 1500 miles on it already. It's a nice heavy cruiser with plenty of power. I just wish it had a higher seat. At 6'5" tall my knees stick up over the tank. My 34" high seat on my Suzuki V Strom adventure bike stretches me out nicely.

Love my Chieftain Limited!!!
I bought my 2020 Chieftain Limited new from MOM's Foxboro MA in the spring of 2021 after owning a Road King for 10 years. I have about 6k miles on my Chieftain, and it's a fantastic bike! I just got back from Thunder Beach in Panama City Beach FL, and spent a morning test driving the newest Harleys and Indians - Challenger, Pursuit, Chief, CVO, Ultra, ST and Panamerica. I walked away still convinced my Chieftain Limited was the best choice for me, no regrets! The Chieftain lines are beautiful, the engine a work of art, the handling is best in class (love the aluminum frame), and Ride Command and the audio beat everything else out there. The only thing I wish is that Ride Command supported Android Auto. In my opinion Indian edges out Harley in the bagger/touring space.

Bare bones
I bought my Indian Challenger 8/29/2022. At the time I thought I would get used to sitting higher than my former motorcycle, but I haven't. I'm 5'6" and this bike is a chore at low speeds due to the height. The Challenger is also a bare bones iteration of the other Indian baggers. I have since spent an extra 4k on upgrades to make it pleasant. The factory exhaust sounded like a Honda. I'm currently waiting for a new seat ($500) that will hopefully give me better contact with the ground when stopped. It is a fast bike.

Everything you want in a motorcycle!
As far as technology and power, you can’t compare it to anything out in the market when it comes to a bagger. Plenty of power for a heavy bike, and full of features. I love the motorcycle, but I do have some gripes. For a $30k motorcycle, the finish is not up to par. For example the bags inside have over spray paint around the border, it should have either been masked or painted. Little things like that drive me crazy, and more When you spend so much money for a finish product. No one can see it but I can, and thats Enough for me to complain about it. Also the batter tender cover broke after opening it the first time, another finish issue and again for a $30k motorcycle that’s unacceptable. I ordered the new part so it is what it is, hopefully that one lasts longer. Other than those small finish details the bike looks great, it rides great just wished they would pay more attention to detail.

I hadn’t planned on purchasing a new ride this season, rather my plan was for next spring. I needed my 15,000 mile service on my Chieftain,so I dropped it off for my appointment. While I was waiting, I sat on the Challenger I was hoping to get next year. Cory the salesman came by and after a short conversation I asked him to give me a trade in quote. It was to good to pass up, so I came home with a Challenger Dark Horse in Titanium smoke.

Good power and handling
I am disappointed that this bike is in production for three years without fixing simple issues. I have had the bike for a month and a half and have encountered several problems already. I have owned two other Indian 111s and three Victory motorcycles so I am not new to them. First problem was during test ride with small latch for USB and fairing storage compartment. The latch piece popped out. They had service reinstall it, easy enough I thought. I figured problem solved. I left the dealership with a 100 mile ride home. The small plastic latch piece holding the door shut would continuously pop out as I rode home. I finally just left it hanging on the door of the compartment to prevent loss of latch. A few miles in, I had the Tire Pressure light come on and stay on. I checked pressure at next exit and it was fine. It stayed on after that. I was again not concerned and would have it looked at during first service. I scrolled through the diagnostics and would sometimes get rear tire pressure sensor not found. That was the beginning. I had a friend with the Challenger that had purchased his bike one week earlier He went back to the dealer and I figured I would just send the clip with him and have it switched out under warranty. I figured they would remember installing it for me before purchase. The dealership said they could not switch it out without the bike there even though the friend had the failing piece with him. It was a plastic piece the size of a coin. They were happy to sell me a replacement piece for around 45 dollars that he could bring back. He purchased it and brought it to me. I have been riding it to work and back each week to get the 500 mile break in. I left the bike in my garage for 5 or so days between rides. The battery dropped to 4 volts. I tried chargers and tenders to bring it back without luck. I called the servicers about it. They said to bring the bike in. I said it would not charge and asked if I could bring battery in separately. He agreed. He also said that Polaris recommends putting it on a battery tender for anything more than three days storage. I have owned numerous motorcycles including the 5 Polaris brands before. I have never had issues with batteries even without riding them for a month. I finally got the battery jumped enough to start the bike. It is never real safe to jump start a battery with that low of voltage and most chargers will not recognize the battery at that voltage. I initially wrote this review prior to the service I was going in for hoping they would make good. In making the service appointment, I mentioned what problems I was having. The service representative mentioned it was probably just a loose battery cable. I then made sure that the terminals were tight with a box end wrench to be sure. They were very secure. I guess on a positive note; after the battery failure, the Tire Pressure light went off. I had the 500 service done with comments on issues. I got it back afterward and they wrote that the battery was loose and tightened with a screwdriver. Hmmm, and they adjusted the clip. The clip kept coming out on the return trip home. In summary I would say that I am very disappointed with this bike in the month and a half that I have owned it so far. Imagine buying a new vehicle and then being told later that you must leave it on a charger if not used within a couple days or the battery will go dead. The friend with the same bike as mine that had took my clip up from earlier in my story has already had to replace his battery at about 4 or 5 weeks old. If I look up common problems on this model, my bike seems to be taking me down the list one by one. I really miss the Victory I traded in.

Great Bike, Great Handling, Great Power
As a previous owner of an Indian Chieftain, I was interested in the new modern Challenger. I ordered mine in July of 2022 and had it for Labor Day Weekend. The power and handling was even better than the Chieftain, which was pretty good in itself. I like the modern engine design, water-cooled, and technology. I have already put 2000 miles on the bike and will continue to do so. I am very happy with the purchase. This is a bagger matched with a sport bike. And it is great!

Absolute beast!
This Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse is a beast! It has the looks, the feel, the power, and the handling you would love. I’m a small guy but hardly notice the size. Ride safe!

2023 Roadmaster
Definitely cheeping things out the fit and finish need to improve. Things that were finished or powder coated on earlier models are left raw. Price keeps going up and quality keeps going down. I love the ride but definitely disappointed for the cash spent.

Love ride dislike traveling to a dealership
My 2nd roadmaster only downfall dealerships are to far away. Still the trunk doesn’t want to lock, and seat doesn’t work with climacontrol. Went to closest dealership after scheduling online. Their one and only Indian mechanic was off. They had 2 weeks to reschedule after I rode 60 miles one way to have first service and check these items out. Paid over 500$ for an oil change and no warranty work. Original dealer I bought the bike from said that was way overpriced for the 120$ oil kit and 2 hours of head scratching. Polaris needs to have all the dealers educate the mechanics on their stuff. I have a local Polaris dealer near my house that works on other motorcycles ie Honda Yamaha etc. Why pay 30k$ in traveling for a 35k$ bike

Just do it!
This is my second Indian Roadmaster. After I lost my mind and traded my first Roadmaster in on a 2021 new Harley Ultra- I knew within the first 10 miles of taking ownership I screwed up! Needless to say I had the Ultra less than a year and went right back after my new Roadmaster Darkhorse! Folks- do yourself a favor and just try one- remove the Harley stigma for a minute and just try one- you won’t regret it. The bells and whistles that Indian gives you for the same price as a stripped Ultra alone makes it worth it. You want a “me too” bike get a Harley- you want a head turning, lap of luxury , stand out from the crowd piece of art get the Indian!

I love my '22 Roadmaster
It's only been 3.5 weeks and 1000 miles since purchase but honestly I haven't found a thing about this scoot I don't like. This is replacing my '02 Chief, and while I love my Garlic Indian which I've owned for 18 years, this new Roadmaster is beyond next level in the world of Indian, and motorcycles in general.
Overall quality is outstanding, fit and finish are second to none, it has loads of storage space, and all the features you could want in a touring bike. And while it's no superbike, it has great power, brakes, and handling. It looks vintage and modern at the same time with a strong nod to it's forefathers and I don't just mean it's skirted fenders. There's a bit of Springfield, Gilroy, and Kings Mountain contained in it's design.
It is uniquely Indian, and it does not get lost in a crowd, rather it stands out in the crowd without being flashy and overly pretentious.
I look forward to riding this machine every day even as the cold and winter bear down on us here in the Northeast.
With it's heated seat and handgrips as long as it's not raining or snowing, I'll continue to ride deep into Winter, and look forward to next Spring, clicking off miles with pride on this latest incarnation of the Indian Roadmaster. This Indian seriously puts a smile on my face!
