Manufacturer Statement of Origin Duplicate

Registered Owner
If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, for a duplicate of your vehicle’s Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) or Certificate of Origin you can:

  • Visit your Indian Motorcycle Dealer. You will need your Vehicle Identification Number and photo ID.
  • Call Indian Motorcycle at 1-877-204-3697. You will need your Vehicle Identification Number and be required to verify registration name and address. You will be charged $25 for processing and shipping.

The MSO will be mailed to the address the vehicle is registered to. If you are the registered owner, but have moved since the purchase of the vehicle, be sure to ask for the address to be updated.

Once you have requested a duplicate MSO, please allow 7 to 10 business days for it to be delivered. We are not able to email a duplicate MSO.

An MSO is not a title. To obtain a title, please contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

Not the Registered Owner
If you purchased the vehicle used and are not the registered owner, for a duplicate of your vehicle’s Manufacturer Statement of Origin (MSO) or Certificate of origin please visit your Indian Motorcycle Dealer. If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle, we cannot provide a duplicate MSO by phone.

You will need your Vehicle Identification Number, photo ID, and proof of ownership such as a bill of sale. This will allow the dealer to update the registered owner information for your vehicle.

The MSO will be mailed to the address the vehicle is now registered to.

Once you have requested a duplicate MSO, please allow 7 to 10 business days for it to be delivered. We are not able to email a duplicate MSO.

An MSO is not a title. To obtain a title, please contact your local Department of Motor Vehicles.

For Canadian Customers
For a duplicate of your New Vehicle Information Statement (NVIS) please visit your Indian Motorcycle Dealer. We cannot provide a duplicate NVIS by phone.

If you are the registered owner of the vehicle, you will need your Vehicle Identification Number and photo ID.

If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle, you will need your Vehicle Identification Number, photo ID, and proof of ownership such as a bill of sale. This will allow the dealer to update the registered owner information for your vehicle.

The NVIS will be mailed to the address the vehicle is registered to.

Once you have requested a duplicate NVIS, please allow 7 to 10 business days for it to be delivered. We are not able to email a duplicate NVIS.
