Indian Motorcycle ClimaCommand Seat Overview

ClimaCommand seats for Indian Motorcycles allow riders to adjust seat temperature for an optimal ride in any climate. The seat provides adjustable heating and cooling controls on the side of the seat and through the display powered by RIDE COMMAND. 

ClimaCommand Classic Seat and ClimaCommand Syndicate 

With these seat models, you can control temperature settings from your model year 2020 and newer display powered by RIDE COMMAND. 

ClimaCommand seat

The ClimaCommand Classic Seat (shown above) is part number 2884559. The seat fits model year 2014-2021 Chieftain and Roadmaster models. It is compatible with RIDE COMMAND on model year 2020 and newer bikes. For more information, view the kit instructions


The ClimaCommand Syndicate Seat (shown above) is part number 2884558. The seat fits all Chieftain and Roadmaster models and is compatible with RIDE COMMAND on model year 2020 and newer bikes. The seat also fits all Chief, Indian Springfield and Indian Vintage models. For more information, view the kit instructions

Certain bike models require an additional harness to install the ClimaCommand seats. The bike models that require additional harnesses for either of the above seats are listed here: 

  • For model year 2019 and newer Chieftain models that do not have a quick release trunk, the ClimaCommand Installation Harness (part number 2415746) is required. 
  • For model year 2020 and newer Chieftain models that do have a quick release trunk, an Under-Seat Harness (part number 2415332) is required. 
  • For all model year 2020 and newer Indian Springfield, Chief and Indian Vintage models, the ClimaCommand Installation Harness (part number 2415746) is required. 

If your bike is not listed above, no additional harness is required for installation. See your Indian Motorcycle Dealer for more fitment information. 

ClimaCommand Classic Seat (Not RIDE COMMAND Capable)


ClimaCommand Classic Seat
A second version of the ClimaCommand Classic Seat (shown above) is part number 2884419. The seat fits model year 2019 and older Chieftain and Roadmaster models. It also fits all Indian Springfield, Chief and Indian Vintage models. This seat cannot be controlled with RIDE COMMAND. For more information, see the seat instructions.  

Certain makes and model year bikes require an additional harness to install and use the ClimaCommand Classic Seat. For model year 2019 Chieftain and Roadmaster models that do not have a quick release trunk, an additional harness is needed (part number 2415036). Model year 2019 Chieftain and Roadmaster models that are equipped with a quick release trunk do not require an additional harness. See your Indian Motorcycle Dealer to order the additional harness. 

For all other models, no additional harness is required for installation. 

Operation 
Switches are located on left-hand side of the seat. The front switch adjusts the driver seat temperature and the rear switch adjusts the passenger seat temperature. Within each heating and cooling mode, there are three settings: Low, Medium and High.

ClimaCommand switches
To change from Heat mode to Cool mode, or Cool mode to Heat mode, first turn off seat by pushing the center OFF button.

Cooling
Push the down button once to activate Low cool mode. Once activated, push up or down to cycle through Low, Medium and High cool modes. 

Note: Push and hold the down button for 2 seconds to activate High cool mode. 

Heating
Push the up button once to activate Low heat mode. Once activated, push up or down to cycle through Low, Medium, and High heat modes.

Note: Push and hold the up button for 2 seconds to activate High heat mode.
