Indian Scout Sixty
Starting at $10,999 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Scout Sixty Thunder Black is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 416.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great first cruiser!! Put my first 600 miles on my 2020 Scout Sixty and I love it! Couldn't be more happy with my purchase. The stock seat was my only real compliant. Upgraded to the sport seat and so far it is a definite improvement from the stock seat. Exhaust sounds more like a sport bike than I would like, but, other than that, its my first Indian, and I will for sure be back for more!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expectations I’ve owned many motorcycles over the years. 43 years old now. I got out of riding for several years. I had previously owned a few Harley Sportsters and was leaning in that direction. Then i test rode the Scout 60! Wow! In one sentence: it’s just a better bike in all aspects. Period. The power delivery delivery is amazing as well as the handling. Ride comfort is also leaps and bounds better. The dealerships I’ve had service done have been very helpful. As a long time Harley guy i feel Harley is in trouble here. Very very happy Indian owner. I don’t look back.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Bike I have had this for just over 2 mo now have rode it into the hill country.. I love this Bike the only reason I gave it a 4 overall and not the 5 is the rear tire has 0 traction on wet service. when out riding I got hit with rain and the lose of control from the rear was very scary. over all I love this thing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my Scout Sixty! I get compliments on it every time I’m filling up with gas. I ride two to three times a day on it and frequently go for day trips on the weekend. I cannot get enough of this bike! I highly recommend it. It’s quick and agile. Great on the highway, great on country roads and great in the city. I get tons of compliments on it and it’s totally fun to outfit with customizable additions. I recommend the shorty slip on exhaust. Bottom line this is the best decision I’ve made for myself in memory. If you’re on the fence - just get it. You’ll thank yourself tomorrow, and the next day, and the next...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike!!! I love my Scout Sixty! At 1000 cc it is plenty big enough to get me around! I wanted to get into a great new bike (at a good price) so I could get used to riding again after 30+ years. The bike is beautiful! I’ve added a windshield and after market bags so I’m set-for now! The sound and t(e look is so nice. I get tons of comments and compliments on this bike! After a bit I will be looking for a bigger bike so I can hit the highway and make long trips. That being said there’s not an Indian bike I wouldn’t be proud to own!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features! It handles great! I bought this bike on August 1, 202 and I’ve already put 2500 miles on it. I took a trip to the Tail of the Dragon and she performed flawlessly

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First new bike I waited a month and half for bike. Never saw, road it. Just off the internet. When I picked it up I just loved it. Perfect size, handling, features and power, though it could be a bit louder. Plenty of options. Great price too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feels amazing Perfect balance of power and smoothness. This bike can be great for either a beginner or advanced rider. It’s so much fun to ride around town with it and do short to medium long trips

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love my SCOUT I BOUGHT MY BIKE A FEW WEEKS AGO. I CAN'T EVEN START TO EXPLAIN TO YOU HOW GREAT OF A BIKE IT IS. IT'S SO LIGHT, VERY SMOOTH ON THE ROAD AND ON TURNS! IT'S BETTER THAN A CADILLAC . . . JUST WITH TWO WHEELS! BEST BIKE I'VE EVER OWNED. IT'S NOT GOING ANYWHERE!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome bike! I bought a 2020 Scout Sixty blacked out and boy is this thing fun! With an exhaust, intake, and tune, it roars to life with great handling for daily riding and commuting while still having more than enough power for fun on the backroad twistys. I'd highly recommend this bike to anyone interested in getting into the world of motorcycles!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Ride I did my research for months before purchasing the Scout Sixty and it didn't disappoint. Style, comfort, balance and power are all there, plus it's a beautiful machine. I would highly recommend the Scout Sixty for anyone who wants a fun exciting motorcycle no matter if you're a beginner or an expert, it's a great ride.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wow! This is a beautiful bike that performs as well as it looks. I haven't owned a bike in many years, but am so pleased with this Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Underated bike easy to mod! We've had the bike for a few months. As a family we also own a roadmaster and a full size scout. If I had to do it over again I would not have purchased the full size scout - the only thing different besides 60 vs 69 motor, 5 speed vs 6, and usb port is not worth another $2500-3k IMHO. There are a lot of bolt-on options to set up this bike for whatever you want. The dealer made a special deal on the Indian fairing - This is my only regret. The fairing looks excellent, but does very little for wind protection, even with the highest (7 inch) windscreen it still is so loud I have to wear ear plugs and a full face helmet. On our other scout we have a 21 inch windscreen which does a much better job than the fairing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BEST FIRST BIKE! I BOUGHT MY SCOUT SIXTY 2 MONTHS AGO AND I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. THE ONLY THING I WISH IT HAD IS A HANDLEBAR LOCK, LIKE THE INTERNATIONAL MODELS HAVE. BESIDES THAT, EVERYTHING ABOUT THE SCOUT SIXTY IS FUN AND EXCITING. A TOTAL THRILL RIDE!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing I bought my scout 60 on June 3rd 2020. Her and I have taken some very long trips. She now has 5,165 miles, and i am completely in love!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than Harley in every way I am so glad I decided to trade my Sportster for this scout. I have owned 1 Honda Shadow, 3 Sportsters, 1 Dyna, and 1 Softail. This scout sixty blows them all out of the water. It is faster, runs cooler and smoother, more comfortable from the factory, lower center of gravity, etc. I will never go back to any other brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride! Loved the look of a white bike but when I saw it in person...whoa! Matte white! Added a few accessories: 24” windshield, foot plates, saddle bags and passenger pad. A little more than I was looking to spend but worth every penny. Shifts like a dream and the ABS great. Female 5’8....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I wanted in a bike Had to wait a month for the bike but it was well worth the wait! Exactly what I wanted!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very enjoyable ride! I bought this bike a month ago and I absolutely love it! It’s the first motorcycle I’ve ever owned but I’ve always had my eyes on an Indian Motorcycle! The only thing I don’t like about this bike is the seat it’s not comfortable after a long ride. But other then that this bike is a great cruiser and a great starter bike it’s lightweight and easy to maneuver! It’s also got plenty of power!
Date published: 2020-08-11
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect size for around town! The Scout 60 is my first motorcycle and I love it! I use it mostly around town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great beginner bike! This was my first bike. I was able to easily learn on it! My father in law drives Harleys and he took a spin on my Scout. He said this bike puts his Harleys in the dust!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike!!! Can’t say enough good things. Great bike. Rides amazing. More that enough power and looks so good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just plain fun! I purchased my Indian Scout Sixty as a first street bike and couldn't be happier with my choice. The engine delivers smooth power and is nimble for a cruiser. I've dumped around 3k in upgrades and accessories to make it my own, and I love that there is a ton of OEM and third party options.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing ride! The Scout sixty is such a smooth and comfortable ride. The way this thing muscles around back roads is unlike any bike I have owned previously. The balance and smooth gear shifting gives me so much confidence. When you need the power its gets up to speed quick! The Scout looks amazing and gets many compliments! The only negative is it the front suspension takes bumps hard. But honestly no big deal. Hats off to Polaris and Indian for manufacturing such a top notch machine. The belt drive is low maintenance and is so smooth and flawless. I highly recommend the Scout! Im Indian for the rest of my riding life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike Purchased a month ago, previously had a Yamaha Bolt Cafe style. This has more power and easier to handle. Purchased second seat and back rest (back rest a must) and wife and I love riding it. I am 6'1 and fit just fine on it. I gave the sound a bad rating as factory is very very quiet. I put a vance and hines system on it and it sounds amazing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It Have had this bike 2 months and love it. Will ride this motorcycle for life.

Indian Scout
Starting at $14,499 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Scout Indian Motorcycle Red / Thunder Black (ABS) is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1013.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good buy for my needs I’m a senior rider with bad knees and a bad case of “shifter toe”. The bike is light and powerful, two of my three requirements. The forward controls plus after market heel toe shifter took the strain from my knees and pain from my toe. The lower seat height helps to steady the bike at stops. The torque curve comes on at higher rpms which makes the bikes power manageable in town and traffic. The brakes are very linear, but I wish the front had a more progressive feel. I love vintage look and the bike overall is miles ahead of the plasticy Metric cruisers. I’m 70 years old and had to put away my sport tourers but this bike has the weight and power I’m used too and should keep me on two wheels into my eighties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where has the scout been all my life Purchased in September. This bike is perfect for me. Weighted low and seated low so my feet are flat, knees bent. Been riding almost 40 years and this is my 6th bike. Good things come to those who wait. She is beautiful, comfortable, easily controlled and gets compliments galore. Thank you, Indian, for the Scout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really love my India Scout. I really love my Indian Scout. I put about 250 miles on it now. When I first bought it, it did have a motor problem, but Indian took care of it. Now my bike is running great they also threw in a bunch of free stuff for me, which made me feel really good. This Indian Scout handles like a dream, and you got a lot of real mayonnaise will power.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding! As an owner of 14 motorcycles and 3 Indians (Chief Vintage ‘14, Darkhorse ‘11, and now Scout 40th) I LOVE this bike. The looks, the ride, the styling, the refinement, the attention to detail, the cold fusion power below 3800 rpms, and the nuclear power above 3800 rpms, and just general feel of this bike is OUTSTANDING. Nice work Indian. Added hand warmers and the fish tail pipes which give an extra roar to this beauty!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Mid Size Cruiser After a 37 year riding hiatus, I decided to get back into it on a new Indian Scout ABS. It was definitely the right choice to start riding again. Styling, handling, power are all excellent. Glad I made this choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 1st Indian, great bike! Originally looked at this as an investment, but after riding it the first 1K miles I realized I'd invested in smiles. Good solid handling bike, very responsive to controls. Tweaked it for the way I ride (who doesn't?)
Date published: 2020-10-12
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needs a better belt guard Has a plastic belt guard and the stick on reflectors have already fallen off. However, the mechanics of the bike are sound. Balance, handling and power to weight ratio are almost perfect.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing first motorcycle I bought this Scout just over a month ago as my first motorcycle, and have already put in 900 miles. I am six feet tall, and actually love how low it is. It feels very stable and I am never worried that it will tip over. I am also glad I went with the regular Scout and not the Scout Sixty or anything less powerful. At first, it sounded like this engine would be too powerful for a first motorcycle, but I grew into it responsibly. "Responsibly," as in I already took it up to 100 mph. This this purrs, then she growls ... she's like a panther! I am so excited to grow older with this motorcycle. I only put on highway bars, and do not any other accessory at this time. She takes corners really well, and have yet to scrap a peg (knock on wood). Indian, you all hit this out the park! Please never stop producing the Scout!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Ride I’ve always loved the old school look of the Indian bikes. I was shocked at how comfortable and smooth the ride is. It’s low center of gravity makes it feel like a much lighter bike. Super easy to handle and lots of horsepower. Absolutely love this bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Funtastic bike Yes, it is a funtastic motorcycle, a life changing experience for me. I've been riding for 30+ years, never owning a bike of my own.
Date published: 2020-09-17
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect One month and over 1k miles, and I couldn't be much happier with my purchase. I am 6ft tall and will be changing over to the factory mini ape bars. I'm keeping the seat for now cause its comfy enough and looks great. I swapped the 30 pound mufflers for 2 pound shorty's that sound great. The 1 problem that keeps this from being perfect... before my break in was done (around 300 miles), the crank position sensor nailed and I had to tow twice to get it home and then to the shop. Awesome service and warranty coverage aside, this should not happen at all. BUT... running perfectly and looks, sounds, feels amazing. Beautiful piece of Americana.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fit and great look. The Scout is my third Indian Motorcycle. I previously owned Indian Springfield's but due to health reasons I had to go to a lighter bike and my Scout was the right choice. It is fast, powerful and good looking. Handles great in curves or in traffic.

Indian Scout Bobber
Starting at $13,999 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Scout Bobber Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 393.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from great bike but should have better suspension Traded in a sport bike for my 2020 scout bobber twenty because of back problems and the Indians are great couple of performance mods E&O intake and freedom performance exhaust plus a power commander on mine rides very smooth. In my opinion for 14k an air ride suspension which is 1200$ upgrade should be standard on all cruisers but to each their own fantastic bike ergonomically feels great to ride. Also is a bobber style so there is basically no technology on it not even a gas gauge which is whatever but again for a high price there’s other bikes out there that are a lot more cost effective
Date published: 2020-10-23
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Know you will want to immediately mod I bought a little over a month ago. There are a few things you will want to do immediately after buying the bike. First, replace the seat. Indian sells a comfort seat that they really should have made the stock seat, because the stock seat is not good if you ride more then 30 minutes. Second, change the exhaust. The pipes make no more noise then a sewing machine and that is irritating. Luckily, you can do this easily with slip on exhaust options. Third. You want to change the shocks. If you don't like being jolted about for the tiniest bumps change the shocks. After those 3 things, I do love my Indian scout bobber, even after the terrible sales experience I had where I went.

Date published: 2020-10-16
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great styling I’ve had my Scout Bobber for about a month and half and absolutely live the ride, the power to weight ratio is great. It is a very nice bike in its handling. The seat was stock and not great for longer rides. The ride is very stiff, not a lot of travel but that is something going forward I might be able to adjust with tire pressure and spring adjustment. Perhaps beefier brakes would be nice. All in all very pleased with the bike!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In love Simple put, it’s that classic look, amazing balance, sweet ride. Don’t mind the stiff pan seat it’s all for the look

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Ride out there I’ve had this bike just over a month and I have about 1500 miles on it. I’ve mostly street bikes but moving into cruising I’ve enjoyed this bike the most between victory, Harley, Bolts, and Indian. I didn’t ever ride the octane so I don’t know how I would like that bike but other than that the scout is super sporty and looks great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike I bought a bike a month ago and I'm very happy that I did it. high quality and good price of my motorcycle is the best deal on the market
Date published: 2020-10-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Power I bought it two months ago and have been very happy with it. The matte black is awesome and and once I changed out the factory seat for a more comfortable one the ride was much better. It could use taller bars though as the low ones are great for rides under 45 minutes but any longer and the comfort level starts to deteriorate.
Date published: 2020-10-05
Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's a good bike but... Great bike. Its quicker than a Harley and feels good to ride. The only problem I have is that it has no steering lock or any security.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Scout Bobber Bought the Scout Bobber because I loved the styling of the bike. Addition of the Stage 1 slip-ons and performance air intake make the bike sound great. Performance and handling have been a pleasant surprise. Definitely made the right choice purchasing this bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic motorcycle. Responsive bike. Feels so light and more than enough power to scoot. Some people say to me that it looks custom. It does turn heads. Classic look and feel. Some may want more displacement but the bobber 60 has the power to please long time motorcyclist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking bike I bought this bike a little over a month ago, and added the comfort seat which feels really nice on the bum. No sliding around when under acceleration. The ride is smooth with plenty of power. Nice handling and also gets plenty of looks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesone Ryde! Purchased almost 2 months ago, and couldn't be more pleased! As a new rider, this bike has been easy to practice the fundamentals on, is nimble, lightweight, great in cornering, and has plenty of power. I CANNOT stress enough how much of a difference in riding position the Mini Apes make for us shorter riders! Your back will thank you! Don't worry, the bike still looks "sic" and gets so many compliments! The seat can become a little rough on the bum after a couple hours in the saddle, and over rough roadways. The footboards also make a huge difference in riding comfort; just don't wear bulky boots that have a large, raised toe area, since the space between the floorboard and shifter is reduced versus the foot peg and shifter. Overall, I'm SO happy with my purchase!! And I must compliment Indian Motorcycle of Orange County (IMOC) for their great customer service!! If I could just ride this baby everyday and not go to work, I would!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love them I bought this Indian just over a month ago. Fell in Love when I sat on it. Was riding a KTM for 2 months. Not enough power so I grow up and went for the way Better Bike. I am in Love with my Bobber.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike! I bought the bike beginning of august 2020 and so far I’m very satisfied with the bike! I’m also glad I waited for the sagebrush smoke color bike to come in because that green looks beautiful in the sun! Bike definitely turns heads when I’m in traffic or pulled up outside a bar or restaurant. Huge powerband and really smooth shifting through the gears too. My only cons to the bike are the stock 1920’s style seat, while big and roomy, is not very comfortable. Coupled with the very limited travel of the rear shocks it can be a very rough and hard ride on your back. If you’re looking on doing any riding longer than 45 minutes I’d suggest upgrading the seat at the least! Stock headlight isn’t the brightest either but It gets the job done. All in all it’s a great bike with a lot of power and has looks that kill! You won’t be disappointed with a purchase I promise!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike, just needs better seat I bought my bobber Aug 8th, traded in the harley lol. Except for the medieval torture device they call a seat, 40 mins in the saddle was all I could take and the comfort seat wasn't much better. I upgraded to corbin and it's perfect! Overall great bike for a great price! Change the exhaust, all bikes sound like a boat, stock. The design is gorgeous and it's perfectly balanced.

Indian Scout Bobber Twenty
Starting at $14,999 CA MSRP
2020 Indian Scout Bobber Twenty Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 393.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cheif vintsge After riding HDs for 45+ years, I was ready for a new bike. After test riding several brands, I was completely overwhelmed by the New Indian Chief. I just couldn't believe how GOOD this bike is. It was a "no brainer"! Everything I expected and THEN SOME! Power, comfort, handling and good looks to boot! I am very happy I decided on this bike.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Just okay I bought this bike a couple of months ago, I have three Harley Davidsons and I have only had HD for over forty years now. Really not to sure about this Indian. Checking the oil is a nightmare, sometimes you get NO reading on the dipstick even after a ride? They say its okay? I plan on testing the first oil and verifying the actual amount of oil I take out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy! Happy! Happy! I went to the dealership to purchase a Scout. I was all but ready to do so, but I kept getting drawn to the Chief Vintage. My wife and I ended up buying the Vintage. I could not be happier with this purchase. I’m having the time of my life. This motorcycle is FANTASTIC and beautiful besides. It’s funny, on days we can’t ride, we sometimes just stand in the garage and look at her! In addition, I’ve entered her in two motorcycle shows and won them both including Best of Show in one. I’m VERY happy with my Indian Chief Vintage!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike I’m 58 years old and have been riding motorcycles since I was 10. I have owned several dirt and street bikes and this is by far the best. Looks great, rides great, and is the most American made bike you can buy (sorry Harley). Will stick with Indian until I get too old to ride.
Date published: 2020-10-03
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor unpredictable roll in on the power at low RPM Beautiful design. Meticulous assembly resulting in perfectly matched components. Stitching on the leather components is an example of quality craftsmanship. The paint is a bit soft leading to light scratches but the quality of the finish is superb. Unfortunately, the power at low RPM and lower gears tends to surge at the worst possible moments. It can be managed with excessive clutching but it is in essence, a safety issue that needs to be addressed. This should not be the price of a digital throttle. The next question is "Would you recommend this bike to your friends?" If the power issue were addressed, then a resounding yes! As it is, a no.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just a thrill I have 1,020 miles on it after a month of ownership. I've ridden Harleys for over 40 years and this is my first Indian. It's a great motorcycle! It reminds me of riding a vintage motorcycle, (maybe that's why it's called a vintage), with a modern day engine and electronics. Loads of torque when needed. Just a pleasure to ride and gets compliments whenever I take time to park. It's loaded with chrome and I like chrome. Comfortable, good seat, good suspension. It could use bluetooth handlebar speakers as an accessory, but I got one for my helmet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Happy Owner After a test ride a few years ago I purchased a 2019 Chief Vintage. It is a joy to ride and a work of art. I have only 2 complaints: Indian accessories are crazy expensive and stopping for gas usually takes some time because so many people are curious about the bike. People want to photograph it !!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still sweet 5 years later I love my 2015 Vintage. This motorcycle is a work of art as far as styling. The engine has a grunt that Harley riders are jealous of. Stage one exhaust and intake make it a beast.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love my Indian and my Indian Dealerahip Going in for my 2500 mile service in the morning. I live my vintage! My only negative on this bike is the motor noise at low speeds and low gears, it is whinny. I do have what I think is lifter noise as well but that is expected. Iver all a home run! Won Best In Show a couple weeks ago! STOCK! Only Indian_ H.D. boys were not happy!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LOOKS ARE NOT EVERYTHING Great looking bike, i have been stopped many times for pictures and admiration. Not of me but the bike. If it were just for looks 5 stars would be waranted. My issue is that i am a big guy and suspension on this might not be for me riding alone, imagine putting a passenger well does not give me the ride i was looking for. The good thing if i want to continue riding this one i might have to lose a hundred pounds. All good!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Motorcycle I own a 2001 Indian Chief Neiman Marcus....it was my pride and joy. However, it was time to move on....and the Indian Chief Vintage was just what I was looking for. It love the acceleration, the ride and all the features. It is not a motorcycle, it is a work of art. I could not be happier. Thank you (Polaris) Indian Engineers for making this a classic.

Starting at $21,999 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 317.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic motorcycle The Chief Dark Horse is a great motorcycle, it's my 3rd Indian and looks great next to my Scout and Roadmaster. The Dark Horse handles wonderfully, is very quick and responsive, and I love the blacked out finish and minimalistic look. I would recommend the backrest to enhance the comfort at highway speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike!!! I bought the 2019 Indian Chief Dark Horse a couple months ago and I couldn’t be happier. I’m a new rider and after completing the 3 day Riding Academy at my local Harley-Davidson dealer, I was able to jump on the bike without any issues. I’m 5’7” and the bike fits perfectly. I owe it to all of the people who posted reviews about this bike because it really helped when I was looking for a bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the look I wanted! Been away from motorcycles for about 12 years now (guess how old my oldest is) and finally decided to get back on two wheels. When I looked at the market I was surprised to see how much has changed. I knew I had outgrown the sport bikes but wasn’t quite mature enough for a Touring...that left me wanting a mean looking cruiser that wouldn’t take hours a month of chrome polishing. When I saw the Chief Dark Horse I was sold. Started doing my homework on reliability and panicked when I saw how bad it was but then realized this was all pre-Polaris and since they’ve taken over it seems the same quality they build their ATVs with is now going into their bikes. I love everything about the bike and am having a blast racking up the miles and customizing it to make it my own. Zero regrets on that purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great motorcycle Second Indian motorcycle. Used to ride HD only and let’s just say I’m never going back. Indians ride and handle way better then any HD out there. And not to mention made right here in the USA

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the handling. I Bought my Darkhorse a month ago and I absolutely love it. Driving in Cruiser mode is smooth and comfortable, but feel the power on sport mode.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of Power, Great Looks I bought the bike over a month ago now, upgraded from a Scout. The difference is night and day. The power and smoothness of the ride is not even comparable to a Scout or similar. Very comfortable ride, and the ride height allows you to still take corners pretty tight even though this is a large bike. When I bought the bike, the dealership had put Rinehart pipes on, which sound great (much more of a growl to them vs the stock pipes). I'd think my only gripes are; 1) Clutch grab is not a tight fit and rattles against the handlebar when I hit bumps. Tried tightening the clutch cable, but that did not solve it...seems to just be a loose fit. 2) The first shift from 1st into 2nd after starting the bike is a little rough, you really have to force it up into gear. After that however, when the bike warms up, shifting is effortless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The sound and response of the level 2 exast system Just getting used to it. As I meet groups of Harleys, going the other way, the Witches on the backs of the Harleys are rubbernecking me to see what I am riding.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First cruiser Ok so Ive been riding for a little over 10 years. And until I bought this bike it was always rockets. Last bike before this was an R1, However I was ready for more comfort. One day my brother showed me the scout an I had to go sit on it. I did and while it was better then the r1 by miles I was still c shaped for a riding position. Then I sat on a chief an I knew that was it. I traded my R1 in for the chief dark horse. And I only have 300 miles on it so far but I will say I am not disappointed. The ride is super smooth and sitting position is perfect. I can ride for longer then an hour and not feel any discomfort and hitting any bumps in the road are barely noticeable. The bike is fantastic an has enough power to get out of its own way. Only thing I might recommend if you do a lot of highway riding is getting a windshield. An that’s only if your doing 65+. That’s nothing against the bike it’s just the pressure on you from the wind is annoying. But it’s not like I felt like I was going g to get ripped from the bike or anything. The seat is deep and holds you in place well an is very comfortable for a stock seat. And the bike just looks and sounds great. I know for most riders they like there bike to scream with how loud it is. The stock pipes on it have a nice sound. It lets you know it’s there without being obnoxious. But I do know most people want to be heard a block away and the stock pipes don’t do that. While I loved my r1 I regret nothing getting this bike and am looking forward to a summer of long and enjoyable rides with my family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mean, Lean and Dark I purchased the 2020 Chief Dark Horse at the end of 2019 while adding the Stage 3 upgrade along with a few other extras. Once the bike was done receiving the upgrade and the 500 mile break-in period was up, I got to test the beast out a bit. Handling is effortless, ride is smooth but pulsating, power is more than I hoped for, and looks are nothing less than exquisite. The only regret I have is there is not enough time in my day to stay in the saddle.
Date published: 2020-03-13
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Beast This machine looks and acts so mean. For a 750 lbs. bike, the handling is elite. It’s such a blast to ride. The only negative is that it does not come stock with a windshield like the classic chief and springfield.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike I bought the Chief Dark Horse in January at Pikes Peak Indian Motorcycle in Colorado Springs, CO. The dealership is top notch and I highly recommend!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from First Impressions I've barely had a chance to ride it since I purchased her in the off season, and it's really cold in MN this time of year. But It runs and rides great from the little taste I've had so far, It's a beautiful bike and even being a no frills model it has some great features like push button start and cruise control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Chief dark horse I just traded my 2017 Indian scout which I put 4300 miles on in 6 months first street bike totally loved it but on the highway got blown around. Just picked up a 2017 Chief dark horse 3500 miles on it what a bike love it thought it would be harder to ride, after two days of getting used to the bike it handles like a dream

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bookmarked for my next bike purchase I was finally able to test ride a 2019 Chief Dark Horse and it exceeded all my expectations. What an absolute road crusher! I currently own a 2018 Scout Bobber and have the Chief Dark Horse pegged as my next bike.....dependant on one singular change: PLEASE give us some color choices Indian!!! It is such a beautiful bike, but all of them are black. Indian has some of the best colors in the motorcycle industry (check out their scout line) so it only seems natural that more color options should come to the Chief Dark Horse. Pssst: White Smoke is the color I want.

Indian Chieftain Classic
Starting at $32,499 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Chieftain Classic Thunder Black / Ivory Cream is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 106.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Motorcycle - wish I'd bought one sooner I rode to Sturgis from the East Coast, liked the bike I rode. But, it developed some issues on the ride. Met up with some friends who rode Indians; they could not have been more happy with their bikes. Went to the dealership. Test rode a Chieftain, loved it. Returned to the dealership, looked at bikes more similar to what I'd ridden up. Decided I liked the upgraded features of the Chieftain so I bought this one. LOVE IT. The best part for me is, it handles so much better than ANY motorcycle I've ridden in the past

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The first 1500 miles / report I have not had any problem with the bike as far as operation. In fact it has out preformed my expectations. The only problem so far is the whistle I get some times on acceleration. I have been told it is caused by the air intake cover. I am enjoying the bike too much now to worry about that now. The only other problem I have had with the bike is having all kinds of people stopping me to look the bike over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike I ever ridden I purchased this MC a month ago after first visiting a HD dealer and test riding 3 of their bikes. So happy I decided to visit the Indian Dealer right after those test rides. This bike rides like a dream, well balanced, shifts smoothly and doesn’t look like everyone else’s bike (HD). Love the Design and outstanding Engineering of their machines that my wife purchased a Scout the same week

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Happy Overall, But.... I have had the Chieftain for a couple of months now and overall I'm happy with the bike. The bike did develop a vibration I can feel in the right floor board after the first 1000 miles that I also notice in the mirror (blurry vision) between 2500 and 3000 RPM. The dealer felt it was normal (subjective of course) but it wasn't as smooth as it was during the first 1000 miles. This is a little disappointing to me because I bought the bike for touring and comfort. I wish I could give it 5 stars, but the vibration is an issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2018 Chieftain Classic - An Awesome Classic Reborn I bought my brand new 2018 Chieftain Classic 1 1/2 months ago and only due to the weather am I still working on my 500 mile break in period. I decided to add a full stage 1 right out the door along with a backrest for myself. The bike beautifully in all speeds and RPMs without any chugging as I’ve seen in other posts. It was great pull from the start and even sets you back in the seat when passing someone on the highway without the need to downshift. The torque is unbelievable fro the TS111. During my 500 mile service I plan to add stage 2 cams and look forward to a bit more power and that classic big bike rumble at idle. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and plan to log many miles around Alabama and Tennessee through the beautiful backroad scenery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Everything I’ve been looking for. Didn’t want a touring trunk or hard lowers, but wanted everything else. Got more than I expected. Suspension, handling, power, and looks; all top notch. Test rode the bike in 2017; bought one in 2018. Traded in my Harley. Love the power windshield and the Ride Command. Added heated hand grips and seat plus others. Just what the doctor ordered! It’s a keeper!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike. The radio has quit working a few times and currently does not work. The clip holding down the dash storage compartment broke the first week. Ergonomics could improve. Handlebars could be moved back, along with floor boards. Backrest is a must for long rides. I found the pipes drag often. I adjusted the rear shock and it still drags leaving my driveway and when cornering. Plastic side panels below the seat need better fastened. The left one blew off riding down the road. I luckily caught it when it flipped up.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love the bike This bike has been amazing. But that being said some features weren’t there that I was told were with my model. That was a bit frustrating. The CarPlay option is also a joke. I hope in coming months they do a better job making it available. After first service was done I get error codes almost every ride now. Check engine light, chassis fault error, battery flashing. Dealer suggests just turning it off and back on says it’s normal after first service. I’d rather no what’s causing these things to through errors but Oh well

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Performance is outstanding I purchases this bike approximately 2 months ago and now have approximate 2000 km on this bike. I love the overall performance and handling. Only real issue that I have had is it has stalled on me in first gear a couple of times as the bike tends to idle low at times.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wanted this bike a long time I enjoy this bike more every time I ride it. One of the first things I noticed, and greatly appreciated, is its balance and how nimble it is. On my previous bike when I approached a red light, braking and down shifting, I had be careful about maintaining balance. Even just moving my foot up to the brake then down to the pavement could cause a wobble as I stopped, and then a struggle to push the bike up to vertical. None of that happens with the Chieftain. It glides to a stop and stays fully upright as it slowly rolls up to the white line. No struggle for me at all any more. Taking tight corners and more expanded curves is a breeze. It's light on its feet for a 900-pound motorcycle. I really appreciate that. And power? Whoa! Once I hit 5th gear and move into 6th, even slight throttle twists cause a burst of speed. I'm not an ultra fast rider, like some guys, but this thing can easily cruise an interstate at 75 mph with no sweat. And still have plenty of power for passing and quick lane changes. To me, it's amazing. 116 c.i., baby. I did have trouble with up shifting when the bike was new. It was really hard to get the transmission to shift into second gear, for example. Everybody said Indian builds them really tight that way on purpose so that over time as it loosens up it will still be tight and not loose and sloppy. I get that. So I installed the Pinnacle heel shifter. Problem solved. I love that thing! My complaints all center around my personal comfort so they're really not a reflection on the bike, and I think they can all be solved. I'm not a fan of the newer Rogue "gunslinger" seat Indian put on many of their bikes. After 30 to 45 minutes of riding I have to get off and give my butt a break. Yes, it's hurting that bad. Five minutes off and I'm ready to get back on. So I need a better-built, more comfortable seat. Next issue is leg room. I'm 6'4" and weigh 263 lbs. I'm also 68 years old. I'm not interested in the Rogue extended reach seat for two reasons. One, it's another Rogue seat. Two, I can't use the driver back rest I paid $545 for. I'm looking at Indian's nicer extended reach seat (also can't use back rest) or one of several after market seats that can include a driver back rest. Also, under the heading of leg room, I have to mention Indian's infinite highway pegs. I had highway pegs on my last bike and loved them. But with these new pegs I've already moved them three times and can't find a position on the bar that gives my legs or my butt/back any relief. They are almost a wasted purchase at $300. Despite the complaints the bottom line is my 2020 Indian Chieftain is one great motorcycle. Lots of things to really love about it and only a couple of issues to get adjusted to make it perfect for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great bike I bought this bike in May. I couldnt be happier im glad i made the purchase. With that said i have some bones to pick. How do you offer tpsm reading on the ride command but dont have the actual sensors on all your 2020s come on indian you can do better. And 2nd the ride command needs work how can you offer to move or change widgets but without the GPS module you cannot save them? They reset every time you shut the bike off! Again come on indian you have SOMETHING good but drop the Ball! Oh and offer the sage brush green for the chieftain!!!!!!!!!

Indian Springfield
Starting at $25,999 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Springfield Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 326.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect versatility I originally came looking at Indian because I liked the Vintage. My wife liked the idea of a trunk and more comfy backrest for long trips. If I could have 2 bikes, I might do a Roadmaster and a Vintage, but the Springfield really covers a ton of ground, and was the best middle ground. It can be fit with the trunk, or a regular sissy bar, or quick release that and the windshield for a low mean look. I don't miss the fairing electronics, we have bluetooth in the helmets and I have a perfectly good phone mount for nav. As for the Springfield, it rides better than anything I have ridden. Plenty of power, the handling is great for the size of the bike, and the weight distribution is perfect. It really is the perfect bike for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike We had a Roadmaster but as we aged we were faced with declining muscle mass and downsized some so we could keep on riding since we were not doing the long hauls anymore. The Springfield was just the right compromise for us.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE MY 17 SPRINGFIELD This is my second Springfield. The first one was completely submerged by Hurricane Harvey. Naturally, after losing that fine machine to Mother Nature and the Houston Corps of Engineers (long story), I went back and got another one. I love the style, power and the presence of the Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely awesome bike. It's a great bike. It looks good. It sounds good. It has plenty of power. The handling is excellent. The little things like electronic bag lock, tire pressure monitoring and warning system, kick stand warning light, and the fact that the gear position is always displayed are all very nice features. Even the tire stem valves are at a 90 degree angle so that it's easier to add air. Indian Motorcycles also have an easy to use web site that makes contains all the information and documentation about your bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Features Great Ride Awesome handling Beauty! This is the bike I wanted 2 years ago, however felt it was too big for my first bike. So, I bought a Scout. I loved the Scout! However, this bike just kept calling me. So, I bought it! I am so happy I did! It handles so much better in the wind, the ride is astronomical! Beauty? I can't begin to give enough credit to the authentic, classy, beautifully retro lines of the bike! She is a dream come true!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Features, Stability and Ride Comfort I downsized from a Roadmaster to the Springfield because it was time and the smart thing to do given my age. I fully expected to purchase another brand of bike that I had owned previously, but when I test rode that bike it took less than 5 miles to realize it didn't compare to the Indian in terms of features, road feel and overall comfort. I would have given this bike 5 stars, but the OEM handlebars were uncomfortable for me and the reduced reach bars I had installed are spread further apart than than OEM bars so I really didin't gain anything in terms of a true reduced reach. After 800 miles that is my only distraction which I guess I'll get used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Riders ride 1200km on my new springfeild! Kudos to indian for being able to deliver exactly what I wanted in a motorcycle. The fit and finished quality is second to none. The bike handles with a refined confidence and comfort. Although my bike has been modified with stage 2 cams, I'm sure the ts111 delivers more than enough torque and power to satisfy any need, with the cams it becomes as much as anybody could need from a v twin heavy weight, almost unruly but buckets of fun. The bike is gorgeous, runs and handles exceptionaly, but does have some draw backs... Most notably for me NO HELMET LOCKS. Im not always stopping at the hotel and dont really like carrying a helmet around with me. Now I just use cheap helmets instead of fancy Indian ones. The heat from the CAT on the right side is a bit much and probably could have been located better, say in the cross pipe under the bike? Although, Im sure in November here in Ontario its gonna give me some much needed heat. Any goofball can walk up and turn the power on my bike by pressing the button with the large power symbol on it, im sure its fine but I just dont like the idea of it. Seem like the fob should be in range backed up with a hidden switch. Looks super kool though. Finally, I couldnt be more proud to own this rare luxury motorcycle. Certianly the fines motorbike I have ever had the pleasure to own and ride. Get yourself one, you will not forget it. These bikes are beautiful asphalt eating machines. Thanks Polaris.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Even more enjoyable to ride than I expected This bike fits so well and is very good for long rides. Slow speed handling is easy and the bike is rock stolid in top gear. The engine is one of the most versatile motors on a motorcycle; great low speed response, mountains of torque when you need it and can cruise at freeway speeds easily at relaxed rpms.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Many bikes, first Indian I've ridden many bikes in my time, from Bonneville's to BMW. This bike has the best handling and riding position of any of them. Two up allows for a relaxed trip for two either round to the local store, or long summer days enjoying the view....

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New 2020 Springfield I bought this bike in June 2020 and already have 700+ miles. I love this bike. This is my first Indian. I chose the Springfield because of the shorter rake and great handling. Great for short trips and looking forward to my first cross country ride this fall. Rides and handles great. My only suggestions are wishing 1st gear was geared a little lower to ease handling in busy parking lots and I will add an oil cooler on my next service, because I have noted heat from the engine when riding in 90 degree days. I would definitely recommend this bike.

Indian Chieftain Limited
Starting at $34,499 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Chieftain Limited Thunder Black Pearl is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 203.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! Upgraded from a Scout about a month ago. At first it seemed a little intimidating but after a few rides, love it!! The throttle response is excellent and the fairing blocks much more wind than the Scout windshield. Husband is jealous my radio plays louder than his dark horse.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic Motorcycle I traded my 2018 Chieftain Classic for a 2019 Limited and love the new look and Ruby color. Left the next day on a 1300 mile ride that, unfortunately, involved rain. Was very surprised and disappointed in the lack of rain protection and wind buffeting of my helmet. Upon returning home, I added the JES lower wind deflectors and Indian lower fairing which rectified the wind turbulence 100%! I have 2500 miles in the first month and absolutely love the Limited now. My only regret is purchasing a 2019 that doesn’t have the updated Ride Command where you can overlay the weather on our map.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bagger To Date From the first demo ride I knew I had to have it. I have many miles under me over the last 30 years of riding. Nothing even comes close to the comfort and handling of this bagger! Cannot wait to see the small balance of states not checked off yet, and repeat many that have! After purchasing I have let some of my riding friends take it for a spin, well that has accumulated to four of them switching to Indian within weeks of the test ride. Kind of speaks for itself. What are you waiting for? Life is too short to ride boring bikes..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I LOVE this bike! I bought this bike at the beginning of July and have already put 2500 miles on it (would have been farther along if it hadn’t rained so much). I love the comfort and the amenities offered, and at the price point we got them all at (loyalty and other incentives made the ‘19 model a STEAL. So much so that I traded in our Scout, and really wasn’t planning on doing so!). I had looked at the baggers from Indian as well as some other manufacturers, but everything this bike came with was what I wanted at a price I couldn’t ignore. Looking forward to putting many many miles on her for years to come on the backroads of Tennessee, Kentucky, and North Carolina! I gave the sound 5 stars, but that was because I had them put on Rhinehart Racing slipons before we left with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fun and Functional I recently traded my 2014 Victory Highball in on a new 2019 Chieftain Limited. I love my new ride! It is so much more comfortable for long rides and I feel less fatigued at the end of the day. The GPS is tricky and I have not yet had success with ride command planning a route. The radio is very good and I have no issue linking my MotoZ (Droid) to it to stream music. I receive messages too, but I find that distracting. The engine has plenty of power and torch but I find it has a hesitation when I want to launch hard from a stop. I think with a stage one and a bigger air intake this issue might resolve its self. I actually am a very big fan of the factory exhaust sound.. I was surprised how nice of a rumble the factory exhaust offers when you drop a gear and give it a bit of gas to pass a car etc. I have no plans to change the exhaust in the future because I enjoy the more quite ride experience when I'm cruising. I have switched though the different ride modes but find the standard mode to be more suited to my riding. The sporty mode I find to be lurchy and the tour mode doggy. I haven't used these modes much, but for longer journeys I could see how the tour mode could save on gas. Overall, I am satisfied with my new bagger. I enjoy riding a lot more and find more excuses to ride now. I can't wait to see what Polaris does next with the Indian line!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it! Was initially shopping for an HD when I stumbled across my local Indian dealer. Fell in love with the burnt orange’19 Chieftain Limited Icon Series and after a test ride and some negotiation it ended up in my garage. This thing is a torque monster and the features like Ride Command and the power windshield are nice to have. Just be aware there isn’t that big of an aftermarket for accessories yet so to customize it genuine accessories are the only option for quite a bit of things and they are priced like Indian knows they’re the only good option. Also, the dealer network is a little sparse at the moment, but I expect that to grow with time. So far I’m still loving the bike and have no regrets. The thing still puts a big smile on my face when riding it and I still have to turn around to check it out after getting off of it which means I bought the right bike.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the bike BUT! I love the bike. Its a smooth ride. It have plenty of power/torque. The sound system is outstanding, it even sound good with the stock exhaust, I have had several comments on how great my Chieftian looks. Overall I am happy with my choice. BUT, Indian made a bike that produces way more heat than it should prompting customers to do two mods ASAP, intake and exhaust. Now those two mods should be a want not a necessity. Of the two only the intake was available. Which brings me to the availability of Indian parts. Weather they are dress up or performance they are ridiculously difficult to find. So if you want a really nice sounding smooth riding bike that turns heads Indian is the one for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks style smooth ride great handling I bought a chieftain limited a little over a month ago. Dealer sells other brands and originally was looking for a Ktm enduro. Checked out and rode an Indian for the heck of it. Could not believe how smooth riding it was and the way it felt like it was on rails in curves after having owned several other American made street bikes. The indian felt lighter weight and rode 100% smoother. Needless to say i ended up with a chieftain and had no intentions of buying when i went to dealership.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stepped up from 2018 Scout Bobber Two years ago I bought an Indian Scout Bobber. The Bobber is a beautiful bike and I really enjoyed it for rides if an hour or less but as an aging rider I wanted more creature comforts. The Chieftain fit the bill. A more upright riding position, music, cruise control, GPS, saddle bags, and fairing all add up to an enhanced riding experience.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really enjoy the adjustable windshield. Really enjoy the adjustable windshield. Plenty of power and very smooth through six gears. You can see clear in the rearview mirrors in any gear at any speed. Bike is very well built and handles amazing for the size and weight. Really enjoy the standard accessories like key fob to lock saddlebags and GPS along with Bluetooth and USB connections. Should’ve bought This bike along time ago. Love it

The monoshock, 116 cubic inches and features are phenomenal. Can't say enough about how much fun this bike is to ride. Ease of use and handling make it just as fun on the strait aways as it is in the curves.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Near perfection! I had a brand new Street Glide ordered, and thankfully, there was a delay with the delivery which gave me time to check out some reviews on line. They kept comparing it to the Street Glide, and the Chieftain kept coming out on top. I test rode both, back to back the next day, and there was no question in my mind. I canceled the Harley, and bought the Indian. Very happy with my decision - I love the bike!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love at first sight I waited 30 years to find the bike of my dreams. And when it came time to make that choice in July, the 2020 Indian Cheiftain Dark Horse was that bike. It has 100% 116 Thunder Stoke power, sounds great, ridiculous looks and is a super comfortable ride whether I am on a long trip or a short commute to the grocery store. Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pain In The Rear My 2020 Chieftan Dark Horse is overall an exemplary motorcycle. 2 issues I have: I need some guidance on how to use the maps and trip planning feature; After riding a mere 80miles, my butt burts so bad I have to stop a lot of the time. Most uncomfortable seat I’ve ever had. Of course there’s no way I could have test ridden it long enough to know this. If so I wouldn’t have bought it. The mustang seat on the VTX I traded was so comfy I could ride from fillup to fillup painlessly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Ride I am impressed with the progress that Indian has made over the four years and decided to take a look at the Elite. Having owned several bikes and spending thousands on accessories, the Elite offered many of the features that I usually add. Appearance: I have read concerns that the Black Hills Silver would not contrast the chrome. I must say any photo that I have seen doesn't capture the presence of this paint. When I saw it in the show room, I stood there for twenty minutes before I could turn away. The paint is stunning in the sun light. Engine: The engine is very smooth with gobs of torque. The power band is impressive, especially up to 3,000 rpm. Above 3,000 rpm the engine still pulls strongly, but not as aggressively. Transmission: Shifts are positive and clean. No loud "chunk" when you put it into gear. Controls: In 2018 the control groups were optimized. I have short thumbs and everything is much easier to reach. Ride Command: Very nice to use and fairly intuitive to find things. Response is quick at zipping through and updating the screens. Sound system: The 200 watt system is better out of the box than the competition. I can clearly hear my music even at 70 mph. The tune-able equalizer offers a lot of adjustment - very nicely done. Sounds better at highway speeds than the 300 watt systems on the competition. Handling: First thing I noticed is how easily the bike transitions off of the stand, even with a passenger on board. The center of gravity is lower and that leads me to the cornering. The Chieftain eats up the twisty roads. Driving hard into the turns is smooth with no front wheel wobble. The suspension is firm, but absorbs bumps without bottoming. Things I wish were standard on the Elite: Pinnacle hand grips, the lower fairings and more options to customize the NAV screen appearance. The Chieftain is a great bike and the Elite version is icing on the cake. I got a complement yesterday from another biker "Now that's an awesome Indian!". Yes it is and its mine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sensational Just bought the Chieftain Elite this week, the best overall bike I've had to date. Found Brookfield Indian Dealership out in Connecticut that had one available. Three days later I owned it. I commend this dealership for their outstanding customer service and strongly recommend them, even though I live in NJ. Strongly recommend it if you can find one available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Turning Heads Everywhere I Go I was talking to a friend who just bought a CVO Ultra a couple weeks ago, and I told him Indian needs to do something like this. Guess what? They did! Got the email and saw it on Facebook. I called Chuck at Falcone Powersports, and dropped the hammer. They took great care of me on my trade, and made the process easy. Thanks to Chuck, Mark, John, as well as Nick and Jim in service. You all rock. The absolutely sick paint job, useful features, and the limited number appealed to me. Picked it up Saturday and almost 500 miles later, I love this one even more than my previous Chieftain. Adding exhaust, pull back bars, and will replace the passenger backrest pad as soon as it becomes available (hint, hint, Indian). I get honks, thumbs up, and gawkers everywhere I go. Pleased with my purchase, and would recommend Indian to anyone looking for a quality. product at a decent price. The CVO Street Glide starts at $37,799 and the paint is not nearly as nice as this is, plus there will be thousands of them just like it in your area. I am an Indian rider now, and will be for the foreseeable future. Keep innovating.

2020 Indian Challenger Limited Thunder Black Pearl is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 76.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding Handling and Overall Performance! My wife saw this bike a month ago at the dealer and liked the color (red). She insisted I test ride it and offered to buy it for me! I started riding just before my 60th birthday and this is my 23rd motorcycle. None before were bought with my wife's blessing! It replaces a Indian Chieftain Ltd. which was great! The more I ride the Challenger the more impressed I am and it could become the only bike in my garage! Ride and handling are superior and acceleration far exceeds that of previous bikes. Very stable and comfortable at all speeds even in strong wind and inclement weather! Acceleration is extremely strong even up to top speed! Awesome! Every bikers' dream!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very fun Bagger Bought an early unit, took delivery early December of 2019. This has been by far the most entertaining bike I've owned. The power, handling, brakes are all great for such a big heavy cruiser. That being said there are a few things that I'm not crazy about, throttle isn't crisp, engine is alittle noisy. Still a great bike and I'm glad I purchased!!!!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Machine If you have the opportunity to test ride the Challenger and you take it, be ready to buy it. This bike is so much fun, it will constantly nag at your subconscious until you finally own it yourself. The Challenger is so responsive, quick, and agile that it makes every ride enjoyable, even if it’s just a quick dart around town. I love the new liquid-cooled engine: It’s both beautiful and powerful and stays cool when you’re stuck in traffic. This bike is a dream!

Most of my friends and family ride Harley’s or Goldwings nothing against those bikes they just weren’t for me. Walked into Ridenow Concord didn’t know they had an Indian section. Once I saw the Challenger I had to have it. It come dressed enough for me not much chrome to add. Handles great and will out perform any bike on the market. It truly is in a class of its own

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great out of the box performance! Would have given a 5 star review except for the finish and plastic feel to some components. Very fast bike. Have spent 4 hours in the stock saddle with no issues.. Fuel range is excellent with the 6 gallon tank. Mixed riding gets me around 42 mpg in sport mode. It handles corners better than any previous bikes I've owned. A little harder to handle at speeds under 8 mph than previous bikes I have owned and though I like the longer wheel base it does take more space to make a u-turn. Very stable at speed and has power for any situation. I do not down shift to pass. Just twist the throttle. Slight lag coming off of idle which took getting used to, but now I'm very comfortable on this bike. Just needed to use friction zone technique to compensate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bagger money can buy. Right off the showroom floor you could take a 1,000 mile trip with no upgrades. The suspension, brakes, handling and, engine are great. This bike handles the curves like a sport bike and the interstate like a boss.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian Challenger I really enjoy the fixed fairing, adjustable windshield and the power behind this bike. I'm an always getting compliments wherever I go from both those that ride a well as those that don't on how nice the bike looks.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great bike... I purchased my Challenger two months ago and have been very impressed with it's performance. The engine is a beast, the handling is exceptional and it's comfortable to ride all day. The only thing stopping me from giving 5 stars is the throttle lag when starting from a dead stop. However, after doing a stage 1 it is better, but taking time to get use to it. Overall, I'm really enjoying the Challenger and can't wait to do some cross country touring...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream bike with dream performance!! I waited many years to find the exact bike that fit me and my personality. The Indian challenger is simply amazing. I have never ridden a bike that was so smooth yet so powerful. Unbelievable technology!! This bike is the best in the road!! Indian also has an amazing clothing line. Very classy for men and women where other brands tend to lean to trashy! I am a forever Indian man!! Best bike period!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooth Ride. Great handling and power to spare. Had an Indian scout for 4 years. It is still my favorite motorcycle but I wanted something with a little better ride quality as my back gets some pain from jolts. I took the Challenger for a test ride and hit bumps that caused me issues just days before. No issue on the Challenger. Also was and still am surprised at how well it handles, shifts, and rides. It was kinda the total package for me. The weight of the bike has been my only issue and it just takes getting use to.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It's worth it The bike is great, fun to ride, great handling and definitely good performance.power. the only thing I see what I don't like is at a certain speed you get a lot of engine vibration. Hopefully that can be resolved in the near future. Otherwise from that the bike is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike Traded in a Road King Classic for the Challenger and haven't looked back. Handles awesomely, awesome stereo. Downside, I really don't like the clutch. Takes some getting use to after the Road King, once it warms up it runs great, no heat issues when stuck in traffic, I have never felt my thighs trying to fry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just the base model I’ve owned the bike for a little more than a month now and it is awesome. It has the best stock seat of any motorcycle I’ve owned. It is the best performing bagger I’ve ever ridden. It has the best stock features of any base model on the market. The sound system is great, the performance and comfort beat anything else I’ve ridden. I like the power windshield and the driving modes. Recent bikes I’ve owned: Harley, Victory Vegas, Victory Cross Roads

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The Perfect Motorcycle I own my Challenger for about 2 1/2 months now, and I have accrued about 3,400 miles in that time. I find this model to be nearly perfect in every aspect. The brakes are stellar- perfectly balanced and effective. The acceleration is phenomenal, smooth with a perfectly linear torque curve that never seems to end. The suspension is perfect, it’s adjustments are very responsive and the settings are excellent. The handling of this bike would lead you to believe you are riding a bike much lighter than what you really are. It feels like a sport bike in many ways, acceleration, braking, and handling. It is an amazing machine. Very well executed design by Polaris. You can see they really put their heads together in designing and building this bike. Fit and finish is excellent. Paint finish is excellent. I am very, very happy I crossed over from Harley Davidson and bought this bike. If I had anything negative to say, it would be that the throttle response ( throttle body) needs a little better engineering, as it is sometimes choppy and the engine runs a bit rough at times. To be fair, the bike has improved in this area the more I put miles on it. I expected some bugs with a new model, which this bike definitely has, but none of these minor issues would persuade me from buying another one immediately. I can not recommend this bike enough to anyone considering buying one. You will be happier than you could ever expect. Well done, Polaris! I’m looking forward to buying another one when I wear this one out!! I am looking forward to adding accessories as they become more available as well.

Indian Challenger Dark Horse
Starting at $34,499 CA MSRP
2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 98.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine! I traded a 2019 Chieftain for a 2020 Challenger Darkhorse. It was the best trade I've ever made!
Date published: 2020-12-01
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Fun ride The bike is fun to ride, with good power for just being stock ( so far) . Now the exposed bolts on the rear fender makes it look like an unfinished product and the have to spend an other almost $800 on fender closeouts ( which are not really offered for the Challenger) after just spending around $30,000 is ridiculous, also the saddlebags are a little flimsy. I'm also not happy that I can not see my Miles per gallon or how I can't choose the setup on the left hand side of the display screen like I can on my other Indian models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from '17 Vic X-1 to DH Indian Challenger I've had the bike roughly 45 days and was able to rack up 1,000 niles late season riding. Little hesitant to make the switch. Like all the salesman said, "you won't regret it" the challenger definitely is a step up from my Victory '17 X-1. Thinking, that bike was unbeatable, the Challenger is the only thing, stock beats it. Love this bike and can't wait for summer to get here and get it back on the road. This bike was very well, thought out, engineered, from power, comfort, balance, just gotta ride to believe what it can do and i mean it can do it all!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Bike! I traded my Goldwing F6B for this bike on October 6th, 2020. I have already put over a 1000 miles on the bike. The handles extremely well on curves and in the wind. It cuts through the wind much better than my Goldwing F6B did. It feels very stable. It also has good power and performance compared to my Goldwing. I'm very happy with this bike. I did put multiple accessories on the bike already. These accessories all worked well with the exception of the led driving lights which don't work. Ask Polaris is unsure as to why these lights don't work. I am still waiting for a fix. I am definitely disappointed in the quality of the accessories. They were expensive and should have worked without any difficulties.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Motorcycle This motorcycle checked all the boxes..comfort, performance, looks..all check! Couldn't be happier with it. My other motorcycle has to be jealous, it has gotten zero attention since I got my Challenger. In fact, it's a sport bike that I was going to hang onto but see no need now that I have put miles on my Challenger. The Challenger handles like a sport bike but with the comfort of a cruiser. And the power!! Highly recommend!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this beast I have had my Challenger for about 3 months, the tech, the power and comfort of this bike is not like any I have seen before. I have 2 other bikes and this one is far better than them put together. Great machine that Indian built. Give it a test ride and you won't be disappointed

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great ride I purchased this bike in September and have traveled almost 2000 miles since. I had a 2018 Chieftain Dark Horse that I really enjoyed and had over 21000 miles on but traded for the Challenger and couldn't be more impressed. The ride is fantastic and eats up the miles. I was nervous because of how much I enjoyed my Chieftain but I have no doubts now. I can now keep up with my dad and his friends on their Goldwings with fuel economy and I personally think the performance is better than them as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Indian Challenger - best bagger, period! Had all types of bikes. The last few bikes were Harleys (Streetglide, Breakout, 1200Iron) Read about all the great reviews surrounding the new Challenger so I decided to test ride one. I wasn't in the market only because I just purchased my 2019 Street Glide Special and put a bunch of aftermarket items on it. But after my test ride, I was sold. More power, better handling, braking, and smoother power delivery. I traded in my brand new 2019 on the spot for the 2020 Challenger. Took it home that very same day and never looked back. The recent King of the Baggers race at Laguna Seca was a testament to this bikes power and handling when it went up against Harley with larger engines. Indian is definitely headed in the right direction. I hope they continue this path and dominate once again. Special thanks to Indian Motorcycle of White Plains. Excellent staff and excellent service!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bagger made bought the challenger dark horse in September! Price was better than Harley, while the speed and power also crushes the road glide! The sports mode is well worth the purchasing the bike itself and the comfortably along with the features makes this bike perfect for all road desires

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bike I've ever rode. I bought this Bike about 5 weeks ago. Every time I get on it, I feel like I did when I got my first bike. Power, torque, fun factor, and comfort all in one bike. I've been on many HD's and Indians. This one hits all the right buttons for me. Ride command is awesome, and the bike feels as light as my old Street Bob. I recommend this bike if you are a skilled rider. If you are not, don't put it in sport mode..lol.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from My first bagger!!! I had this bike for a month and it’s still growing on me. I’ve been a sportbike and street bike rider on and off the track for ten years. I decided to grow up a little and get something to slow me down and enjoy the views while riding. I choose the challenger dark horse because it has characteristics of my bmw street bike with riding modes, TC, Abs, heated grips and liquid cooled. Pros. 1 Sound system was great and even better once upgraded to powerband even in saddle bags 2 easy to work on. All Indian upgrades come with instructions 3. Sounds great 4. For its size pretty quick 5 handles great Cons 1. Screen takes forever to load!!! 2. After long rides bike cuts off once coming to a stop 3. Gearing is really short. 4. Bike is governed to 110mph and has plenty more to give. 5.pegs/floorboards sit too low and hinders lean angle 6.can answer phone calls but no mic or can’t hear through speakers. 7. The Stupid design of the license plate holder puts too many holes in the rear fairing 8. A lot of plastic fairings 9. Apple car play doesn’t really work
Date published: 2020-10-19
Rated 5 out of 5 by from out of the box everything great great bike comfortable handles like a much lighter bike more power than i need but what fun even though its quiet it has a sound of power and so smooth never rode anything like it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power for days Purchased the Challenger and put just the stage one on at purchase. This bike has the get up and go you’d expect from a new bike purchase. Low end power ban leaves something to be desired but all in all this bike is well balanced and once you learn the power ban it is so much fun to ride! Best feature believe it or not is the windshield. Seems dumb but at 6’1” the windscreen moving up on the highway for cruising has to be my favorite feature on this bike. The lowers for the crash bars is a must have for all my bikes so I hope Indian comes out with a good design on those soon. All in all great bike and actually would recommend this bike to anyone who could afford the price tag. Worth every penny.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun bike, weary about electronics I purchased this bike just over two months ago. I love it and it’s been great fun to take trips on. My only concern is the response from the throttle pedal pick ups. Seems a little slow in response call me old school but I am sure I prefer the reliable cabling over electronic throttle. Already had on mishap where the sensor came apart and caused a minor “layover” of the bike. Good thing I was at a stand still when it occurred. Other than that I haven’t experienced any major issues. Oh,and I get the same style response no matter what setting I’m using( sport, standard, rain) Plus it’s difficult to maintain a smooth speed under 20 mph. Throttle behaves erratic at lower speeds As if the sensitivity is very high at low speeds and quite the opposite at higher speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Where do I start Having ridden many years and many miles, not sure where to start with this bike. I got the 2020 Indian Challenger Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke a little over a month ago and with 1000 miles under the belt, here are my thoughts. Previous bikes were BMW K1600 GTL, Zero DSR, Honda Goldwing, Victory Vision, Suzuki Burgman 650, Harley Electroglide, and a Harley 250 way back when. They are all different however this Challenger has power none of them, rides like on rails at any speed, and is very maneuverable. Lots of thumbs up by passers by.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike I've had my new Challenger for about two months now. It is everything I expected and more. The power is incredible after coming from the competitor's product. I rode theirs for several decades and thought I was happy until I rode the Challenger. No comparison when it comes to power, ergonomics of the controls, the well thought out rider comforts. The stereo is amazing, the ride quality is very comfortable, and the brakes are very powerful also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Stock Bagger Out There After years riding other "All-American" bikes I was absolutely SOLD once I gave this baby a test ride. I was in the market for a new bagger and there was no comparison to the Challenger Darkhorse. All of the standard features are such phenomenal quality and I love everything about this bike. I put 500+ miles on this in one day and I felt like I could keep going without an issue. From the lights, to the suspension and especially the sound, everything on this bike is just a dream. Indian really knocked it out of the park with the Challenger and it's always a head-turner.

Indian Roadmaster
Starting at $36,499 CA MSRP
2019 Indian Roadmaster Thunder Black is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1225.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dream machine My second motorcycle built by Polaris. I was not disappointed with either, but this Indian has tremendous power and comfort. I have only put 500 miles on it yet both my wife and I love this bike. I have yet to master the ride command however that too seems to offer a lot of information without taking your eyes from the road for to long.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride from the first mile. I’ve always rode Harley’s until now. Finally the Roadmaster had a color I liked (Blue and White). Once I saw it. I bought it. Stock from the factory, heated grips, heated seat, remote storage locks, detectable tour pack, and so much more that cost extra with Harley. The Indian is so much easier to handle. The Indian even has more power off the show room floor than the Harley. The Indian touchscreen has much more features. The only complaint is it didn’t come with a heal shifter. However, I hear the Harley’s don’t now either.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Amazing Ride! Went from THE best handling touring bike (H-D Road King) to this, and was surprised that it handles almost as well. The few degrees of less reach on the forks gives it more responsiveness at speed, but makes slow parking lot turns a little trickier. Once I get a few more months of riding in I'm sure I'll be flipping thru those slow turns like a pro. My one complaint is that I took delivery and discovered that the road command module needs to be replaced. It's obviously a warranty item, but it was a serious disappointment that this escaped Polaris's QC. I also had some serious issues with my dealership's service department, but this has no bearing on this review, and they have taken measures to making it right - so kudos to them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Bike Bought it about a month ago. Have put about a thousand miles on it, mostly on twistes and accidentally about 15 miles on a muddy, slippery gravel road two up. Bike handled well and was quite comfortable. Glad I made the purchase. There are a few issues that need improvement. The need to go online to find out how to use some of the Features of the Ride Command system. Still haven’t been able to find out how to delete rides that I installed and used. The person or persons that designed the battery placement needs to replace a 1000 batteries personally. Having to remove the trunk, seat, and computer to access the battery is not a very intelligent design. The side stand is also placed too far forward or needs to have an extension so that it can be retrieved easily. Overall I prefer the Roadmaster to any of the Harleys currently available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Bike I looked into buying a Bike 3 months ago and I found this at Clarksville Indian (CC MOTORSPORT). It had almost 1500 miles because it was in 2 bike shows. I could not be any more happy with this Roadmaster. The extras that are on this bike makes it stand out.

Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse
Starting at $36,499 CA MSRP
2020 Indian Roadmaster Dark Horse Thunder Black Smoke is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 1225.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2020 Roadmaster I have had a Yamaha Stratoliner, Kawasaki Vulcan, Harley Davidson Road Glide and two Honda Goldwings. So far, I like my 2020 Roadmaster the best, as a all around motorcycle. It is very fun to ride and with all of the options and electronics it is at an higher end of motorcycles. Fit and finish is great and I love the sound and power from the 116 engine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Bike !!! 2020 Roadmaster Dark Horse 2000k on it since September 14th. Bought the Bike from Head Motorsports, Columbia, MO. Best experience I have had buying a bike, period!! This bike is a BEAST !! The only complaint is the Kick stand is WAY to far forward.. I'm 5-10" and have to lean in to bring it back, not good... Overall, best decision I have made...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bike yet I have had the RM Elite now for about a month and after 2500 km's I am really pleased with it. I have had a BMW and 2 HD's among other bikes and this one is by far the nicest and most comfortable to ride. The bike is better balanced and more powerful than the HD's were and although the BMW was a rocketship it was not very comfortable. I sold the BMW after 3 years with 4000 km's and did 2500 in a month with the Indian. That says it all...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great features and awesome paint on the elite Great power and features , not happy at all with the heat coming from the catalytic converter horrible spot to put it so it can cook your leg ? I will change out the whole exhaust as soon as possible and it's not cheap either ? And will upgrade air filter as well along with having to get the computer re mapped .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Pretty darn nice. This was a demo ride during the Barber Vintage Fest in Birmingham, AL. The ride was quite good and handling became very neutral above parking lot speeds. Handlebar controls were easy to use, though I was not versed in all that can be done with the other buttons, screens and modes. Which meant I didn't realize the throttle response settings could be in different stages. Hence, sport mode was not appropriate in close company of other demo riders. However, that setting certainly showed how eager the engine can be! Not a bad thing... This was an enjoyable taste of the top tour model.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Just not for me I have ridden and owned a wide variety of motorcycles including the touring bikes from Yamaha, Honda and Harley Davidson so I have a pretty good baseline. This bike just was not what I expected given the hype. It was uncomfortable after just a short time and the seat felt almost wooden, the switches were not easy to reach especially for a left hand turn and I have large hands. I expected a smooth motor but the vibration rivaled that of an older Harley. I did not like the instrument/gauge layout with the speedo and tach opposite of most motorcycles.I found the handlebar placement to be raised too high which made the bike additionally uncomfortable and cumbersome to maneuver at parking lot speed. I just don't like the look of the bike either but that is a personal preference, I am not a fan of white bikes so maybe that was a factor in the look. Not was all bad, the foot controls were nicely placed and easy to reach and operate. I am happy that I had the opportunity to try the top of the line Indian but this bike just wasn't for me.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Test Ride with wife. My wife and I went to an Indian demo days at our local dealer and scheduled a ride on a Roadmaster Elite. The bike is great looking and the controls seem to be well placed and functional. I started the ride with the windshield in the lowest position but soon raised it to its highest position. We are used to riding a GoldWing. My wife's feedback was that she felt vibrations in the seat and the exhaust was loud. she liked the arm rests. The travel trunk and side bags ere well made and have a lot of volume. The engine response was about what I expected for a large touring bike. Shifting and braking were easy. I definitely sensed a higher center of gravity when coming to a stop and felt the balance was more of a challenge than I'm used to. Once moving the balance was good.
Date published: 2019-07-29

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So comfortable I trust road the roadmaster elite and man how comfortable. The seat has obviously been upgraded from last year. I could sit in that saddle for hours. Such a smooth and stable ride also. It doesn't corner quite as easily as the chieftain but for it's size it corners better than most full dress touring bikes. It's probably my next bike!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Handled and Rode Wonderfully! Drove this during the MB Sprig Rally Demo Truck event. Easy to sign up and ride, the route was a great mix of traffic, windy back roads and highway cruising, and the bike performed spectacularly. I currently ride a HD Road King and this has me thinking seriously of switching to an Indian Full Dresser!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rode 3 Road the Roadmaster, chieftain thunder horse and the scout bobber. The Roadmaster was excellent, the thunder horse had a lot of power but I was too cramped with my long legs and the seat was not comfortable. The scout bobber was quick and nimble, very fun around town bike and seemed just as quick and the thunder horse. Had a very good time and came away with good info on the bikes. Dealership was very clean and the people there are awesome to talk to. Good amount of inventory to choose from. Gave me something to think about for sure!!

Indian FTR 1200
Starting at $14,499 CA MSRP
2019 Indian FTR 1200 Thunder Black is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from All I thought it would be I bought my ftr in August and have just now hit my 500 mile service. Bad weather and bad timing due to life has slowed the miles from flying by. After my service I have made a pledge to ride every chance I can. This motorcycle is a torque monster. The motor has no problem with low end as well as high end. Ample power is available at any point in time that you need it. I am very happy with my purchase. And as I said in the review title, it’s all I thought it would be... and then some. The only complaint I have is the bulky looking rear fender/license plate holder. It wasn’t a problem though. I relocated all of it under the seat and eliminated the bulky looking assembly. everything I wanted in a motorcycle the ftr 1200 has provided. It’s an awesome ride and can get the adrenaline pumping without breaking a sweat. Thank you Indian. It’s like you customized this bike just for me. Awesome.

It has plenty of power and acceleration, and it has a command tall seating position. Fastest Bike I have ever owned, and I have many different bikes over the years. You will be pleased my the Performance of this machine, it is good value for the money, and much better than other American make competitors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets buying Enjoy riding everytime I'm on it. Has the right amount of power and control for me. It's a beautiful clean bike overall. A lot of details. This is actually my first on-road bike. Depending on the person, I wouldn't recommend to new riders with no experience. This bike can easily eat a person whole if they don't respect it nor understand the fundamentals of riding. Ftr has a range of about 120 miles per tank for me, not for long distance cruising for most. Somethings I don't like are the cold starts, it will idle rough and usually stalls engine with the stock ECU. It's a common issue that can easily be resolved. Catalytic converter and stock muffler are ugly and bulky. I would love to see more 1st/3rd party after market parts/upgrades. Should have 600-750cc variant also.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exciting Motorcycle From the first, visual impression of the FTR1200, it’s an amazing machine. The styling and dirt track DNA immediately drew me in. Once the 1203cc engine fires up and the throaty rumble of the S&S exhaust graces your ear drums you quickly realize that this bike isn’t all looks, it’s even more about performance. The bike pulls hard from a start, but wakes up at speed when the motor revs above 6k. On a quick weekend trip to the mountains, I rode 255 miles on the highway to a secluded cabin. No problem. Cruise control is a blessing. Once in the mountains, I hit the back gravel roads and immediately felt like I could power slide and drift every corner. The FTR instills confidence as it is so stable and loves to go sideways. Then I hit the pavement of the windy mountain roads. With a 45 degree lean angle carving the curves at speed was a blast. For the price rang of the FTR, anyone would be hard pressed to find a better looking, more versatile bike. 5 stars.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This bike delivers and just feels special I bought this bike at the start of spring and haven't been able to stop riding it since. The power, handling and character all combine for a thrilling but balanced ride. The style is authentic and sporty. My other poor other bikes have just been sitting now. I can't find any flaws with this bike unless I nitpick. I am happy to see Indian going a new direction and making something cool instead of just then another "crusier". This V-Twin is just superb and the bike makes you feel special. Well done Indian and I couldn't be happier with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best bike I've ever owned! Overall, the FTR is leaps and bounds beyond my expectations. Aesthetically, is amazing. The engine is my favorite part. So much TORQUE everywhere! I also think the build quality is tremendous. It handles very well for tight roads and ergonomically, is very comfortable. Two issues are all I could find. Cold start engine performance is...terrible. This only impacts the first 3 minutes, but it needs to be fixed. Also, the suspensions a bit stiff from the factory. But thats it for gripes! For an entire bike, thats awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Surprising punch The engine delivers good low end power, then revs into a midrange punch that is great fun. Not having to run into high rpms makes carving up curvy roads a blast. Handling is right on, bringing confidence to those tight curves where I ride. The cruise control is a pleasant surprise I never thought I would use, and it makes the straight roads and hills relaxing. I love mix of gloss black, satin black and subtle chrome of my bike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good start! I test road an FTR at Barber vitage fest. Much quicker handling that the long wheelbase would suggest. I loved the quality fit and finish. The motor was not comfortable at 80+ MPH. Too many vibes and did not feel comfortable there. Any motorcycle now days has to feel comfortable there. That is where freeway speeds are.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I actually rode an FTR 1200 Really liked the bike. Easy to ride, sounded good, was comfortable. Ride route was a good mix of roads. But there was a lot of heat coming off the engine, that's my only complaint.
Date published: 2019-10-07
Rated 2 out of 5 by from FTR 1200 sport bike I'm accustomed to an in line 4 cyl. The v twin does not have my kind of power range. To much vibration at cruising speeds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bike. Who ever made the internet questionnaire is a dope. I test rode almost all the new 2020 bikes, this questionnaire shows only 2018 bikes. It's not even showing the FTR1200 as an option for review. The demo truck was awesome, and the people were very knowledgeable and helpful. I also tried to add a photo, but the "file size is too large". The bikes are great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Indian FTR 1200 The Indian FTR 1200 delivers as it should. It has plenty of power. The suspension was on the stiff side which I liked. My only gripe with the setup is that it had a slight sportbike feel to the seat in that it was leaning forward.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Rode the FTR 1200 Test rode on 9/17/2019. Would like to see Adventure touring styling on this bike and I would purchase. Too naked for the type of riding that I do. Engine is wonderful!!
Date published: 2019-09-18
Rated 3 out of 5 by from FTR model I test road a FTR flat track bike and it had great response. 123 hp gets you moving quickly. Handling was good. The foot pegs felt odd but I ride a cruiser bike. Hand grips feel small but probably ok with gloves on. Radiator put a lot of heat on my legs. Good torque, acceleration is good in high gear, I didn’t have to down shift much.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FTR 1200 review Test rode a FTR in Sturgis. What an awesome bike!!! Tons of power and features and lots of aftermarket accessories. I currently ride a Victory Boardwalk but came off of sport touring bikes, the FTR handles and pulls like a sport bike with a comfortable riding position
Date published: 2019-08-10
Rated 4 out of 5 by from FTR review no selection available I thought the suspension was too stiff, set on medium, I would love to see this bike in a 700 cc or smaller. The seat height was a bit too tall for me at 5'9". There was way too much power, I currently ride a 1200cc Tenere. Offering a 700cc with a high pipe, keeping the weight very very light would be a winner. Please consider this as we older riders need LIGHT bikes, that aren't too tall. I think it was a great first effort. I am in the market for a bike that I described.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FTR 1200 There wasn’t an option to select the FTR 1200, so I had to choose the scout. What can I say that hasn’t already been written. My only gripes are that the nearest dealer is an hour away. Also, the wheel size limits tire choice; I’d like the ability to spoon I so Some sportier rubber. Other than that, it’s a winner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Bike, Brap Brap! Awesome bike! This is one of the funnest bikes I've owned. It is extremely well put together with lots of attention to detail. There are a lot of aftermarket accessories available. The Indian branded accessories are very well built. General maintenance looks very easy to do myself. It handles extremely well in the twisties even though its got a lot of ground clearance. And it's a real attention getter. I get stopped all the time when people realize it's an Indian. This bike will bring the brand a whole new customer set.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it I traded in my KTM 1090 for this bike just due to size. This is no adventure bike but it still has a lot of potential. It came with all of the accessories to make it the Rally minus the wheels and it performs much like an adventure bike if you add the right tires. The Pirellis that you can buy are great. The tech on the bike is great. This is smooth to ride and still has enough suspension travel if you aren't a HARD off roader.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Super fun ride This bike is aweoame! You can have a blast and you don't need to be doing land speed records. I love this ride. I have owned the FTR for about 6 weeks . Handles very well . This bike is a great back roads bike, loves the twisties. One item that hopefully gets addressed by Indian is the fuel mapping issue with cold start stalling and the engine randomly shutting off when coming to a stop. I have owned many fuel injected bikes over the last two decades and own current model bikes from other manufacturers with no such issues. Apart from that i have zero regrets . It's a great bike , love every minute of riding it. Apart from that i have zero regrets

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun to ride Bike is great. My only gripe is that tilt runs really rough and misfires until it is warm. Which can take a few minutes to warm up. I like how tall it is for a naked frame. Also really great torque and the touchscreen is cool. Wish it had hand warmers for colder mornings.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Worst mistake I ever made. I purchased this bike on August 12th 2020. I got to ride it a couple times. Bike had oil leak behind front sprocket. Took to dealer 3bhours one way from my house. Dealer had bikev2 weeks. Went back to dealer picked up bike got home still had same oil leak. Now has been diagnosed as a porous casting oil is leaking through side case. Dealer says he would not be able to fix it until end of November. Indian is going to ship to another dealer but will still be without brand new bike for 2 to 3 months. Worst motorcycle purchase ever. Worst dealer experience ever. There are going to be more FTRs with this problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase! Bought the FTR as a 50th birthday present to myself and I couldn’t be happier! The way this bike handles in the curves, the torque and overall power is just what I was looking for in a motorcycle. And the looks...the looks of the bike and the looks I get on the street or whenever I stop and people want to talk about it. Love this motorcycle!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Power and Ease My son traded his Bobber for the FTR for a more comfortable ride without giving up the power or joy. After one test ride, I followed his lead and added the FTR to my stable. Great power, ease of riding in corners and the electronics and cruise control are a joy on longer rides.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awesome City Bike Great For around the city but not so much long rides. I am 6' 4 300 pounds. The seat is uncomfortable for a big person And the foot pegs are set way too high. Down and back 2" would be phenomenal. It has all the power you will ever need and A-blast to ride. Handles a gravel like butter.
Date published: 2020-09-10
Rated 5 out of 5 by from amazing bike! This is my 9th bike in 35 years of riding! I have had Harleys, GSXRs, Ninjas, Buells, name it. I went to Sturgis and test road an FTR...FELL IN LOVE! I was unsure about the wider bars...tall, thinner tires, etc. I like to ride pretty aggressively. WOW! this think handles! Transitions are seamless...the ABS and TC are top shelf (I had never used TC...used it a lot now ;) Riding with wider bars (I am used to sport bikes) was new to me but I found it gives a lot of control and leverage. The torque curve is awesome. Hits bout 6K and pulls hard...Overall, this bike is fun as hell and just a joy to ride. I have had people stop their cars and take pictures. It is a pretty wild but beautiful bike. I put an S&S exhaust, bar end mirrors, fender delete, and LED front signals to clean her up. She sounds amazing!...This is one cool and badass bike! That being said..I am not tall..5'7"..I am on my toes backing it out. I think it would be good for pretty tall people....I am super happy. This bike is a Hooligan all day long that likes long rides!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Puts a smile on my face every time I ride it! Overall I love this bike! Overall I love this bike! I love being able to go on gravel, dirt roads and driving in the rain in rain mode and feel safe! The sound of the bike is kind of quiet even with the Akrapovic exhaust. The OEM tune is not the best. The bike stalls when your warming it up all the time and it's not even cold out. You will have to buy a tume from a third party to fix it and then your bike will run great but it will cost you around $600 US. I wouldn't recommend this bike on a major highway without a windshield else you will get blown around too much. I'm 5'9 and the bike is a little tall for me. I'm a always on my Tippy toes but I learned how to keep my right foot on the right peg and lean the bike to one side when I stop. Took me a few hours of practice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice little ride! Fun bike to take when you want to enjoy the hills and curves. It's great to ride when you want to cool off. I also enjoy riding this more in town.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Beast This machine looks and acts so mean. For a 750 lbs. bike, the handling is elite. It’s such a blast to ride. The only negative is that it does not come stock with a windshield like the classic chief and springfield.

Got the windshield of course. At 5 foot 10 it was perfect for me to see over and there was no buffering whatsoever.Overall the bike was comfortable and flawless.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Love this bike. Everything is perfect. She’s my first big bike. I rode sport bikes up until this point in my life. I miss the zippy ness of my CBR but my Springfield had some get up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I didn’t buy a Harley Was looking for my first motorcycle. Determined to buy the Harley-Davidson Road King Special. Spent many hours at the dealer figuring my dream bike. I saw the Indian and decided I might as well go look and just see all my options. The moment I saw the bike on the showroom I immediately fell in love. Looked at the sales rep and told him to get the paperwork going. Extremely happy with my bike. I have had it for a little over a month and was waiting to get my license. Once I got my license I put 500 miles on it in a work week. Easy to maintain, ride is fantastic and I am averaging 52mpg riding to and from work. After owning this bike I don’t think I will ever go to a different brand. Love the Heritage and love being able to ride my bike and not trying to look like a “Harley guy”. Highly recommend this bike to everyone I talk to!! The only thing I wish was that the dealership I purchased from was like the Harley store. I cannot take my bike in for routine maintenance on Saturdays, there is no energy there (Harley dealer was exciting and events going on every Saturday), no riding or dealership events offered. Very boring and a place I don’t like to spend a lot of time. When you are there it feels like you are wasting their time and you don’t matter anymore. Thinking about going to another dealership 2.5hours away or open my own.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't be disappointed! I come from about 18 years of sports bikes and this is my first cruiser. I chose this because I'm used to power at will, looks menacing, and it handles very well even at low speeds. The stock sound of the exhaust is passable. I understand these would need to pass emissions to sell. Fit and finish is superb. The matte finish is very easy to clean. Easy to work on, and Indian has maintenance tutorials on youtube. I would recommend this to anyone looking at big cruisers. I look forward to my weekend rides with my friends, one of them even bought a Scout because I was so happy with my Indian. I originally was considering the Chieftain but I would never use the touch screen and the speaker system because I have a Cardo comm. I like the minimalist design and the blacked out look on this SDH. Everything about this bike speaks quality. I really like how smooth it rides and not too much vibration like Harley models have. Comfortable seats, and posture. Rev matching is very easy to do. It has a built in alarm system and lockable hard bags. I've owned many bikes and this is the only one that made me smile as I rode off the dealership. The dealership staff is very easy to work with. Sagebrush Smoke color is what sealed the deal for me. Of course this wouldn't be a review without cons. I like using synthetic oil on all of my machines. Indian recommends 15w60 for synthetic and it's hard to find on other brands. I don't want to use the common 20w50 and have a possibility of clutch slippage. The aftermarket support on these is not as robust as Harley, but I expected that. The clutch pull is harder than what I'm used to. The gas tank wobbles a bit, I still haven't had time to check out if the bolts are loose. A brand new bike with only 500 miles shouldn't have this issue. There are so much emblems that say Indian on it. At the price we pay, the headlights should be LED.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointed Have less than 3000 miles on the motorcycle and already broke down. I hate to think of what problems I will have in the future. Now I have a loan on a motorcycle I no longer trust or want.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome ride Bough in February 2020. It’s been raining in Florida & I no longer enjoy thunderstorm rides... engine is louder than stock pipes. fit & finish are great except for bags - they leak so stuff gets wet in the rain & after washing. A better seal and liners would be nice. Performance, handling and features are perfect for me. It’s light for a bagger. I’m only just getting to the 500 mile mark but so far very happy with the purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine purchased this bike full stage 3 a little over a month ago and have loved every mile since. I do wish the springfield still came stock with highway bars though. They really add to the look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great I purchased my 2019 Springfield Darkhorse in mid July and couldn’t be happier. I originally planned to get a Road King Darkhorse and spent months researching. I stumbled on a comparison between the RKS and the Springfield Darkhorse which piqued my curiosity. Further reviews and rides pushed me completely over to the Darkhorse and I haven’t had a single regret. I added the Rogue seat which my wife says is way more comfortable than the RKS, and get a ton of compliments on the overall look. If you want a Harley and are set on it, get a Harley. But if you want something unique, with style, functionality, performance, and reliability, definitely check out an Indian.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love being part of the Indian community At 46, I thought I’d be with Harley-Davidson forever. Then the day came that my loyalty to Harley-Davidson was not returned by Harley-Davidson. That day I left the HD dealer/service department and drove to my local Indian dealership. “Just to look”, I told myself... within five minutes of looking at the beautiful machines and digging into the history of this amazing part of American motorcycle history I was hooked! Then, I saw this machine... that was it! I was all in on Indian. The looks I get and the number of people who ask about this classic inspired ride is phenomenal! I LOVE MY INDIAN!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than expected My last bike was a Yamaha Virago over 30 years ago. I was a little concerned about the weight. I shouldn't have been. Very comfortable with a low center of gravity. I got the red seat package as well as highway bar and passenger boards. Just waiting for the windshield and running lights. Didn't make me too happy. I think the weight may have had something to do with me escaping possible injury or worse. One of those plastic totes (16X24X16 quesstimate) fell out of the truck ahead of me (doing speed limit, 70 mph, and back a ways. No tailgating). It's bouncing, I'm guessing which way is it going. I guessed right but not right enough. I clipped it going about 70. My foot was resting on the highway peg attached to the highway bar. The hit knocked my foot off the peg, but the bike reacted like Rocky..."Is that the best you got!" And it didn't even flinch. After a minute I looked down and saw that the rubber floorboard pad was gone. I didn't go back to look. When I got home, I saw the bar AND the bolt attaching it to the frame was bent so far back that the floorboard was resting on the highway bar. I'm alive and kicking. I credit the bike to a large degree.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Ride I like the way the bike looks and handles. I get a lot of looks when I'm riding. The bike feels light and smooth. Corners nice. I like the 116 C.I. engine. It responds quickly. I like the sound of the engine. I like key fob and the fact that you can automatically lock the bags.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A rare gem in my neck of the woods I have only had this dark horse for two months and have have loved every minute of it. It’s well balanced, great for me at 5’8”. People continue to seem amazed by it when I pull up next to them. Saddlebag fits a small soft yeti cooler perfectly. Really well lit for night rides. Have 600 miles on it so far and wake up every day hoping to get another ride in.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Our new Ruby! We bought Ruby in October. Jay and his team were excellent to deal with. Thank goodness the weather improved enough that we got to put a few kilometres on before the snow hit. The bike is absolutely perfect! I can’t wait until we can ride again in the spring.

The monoshock, 116 cubic inches and features are phenomenal. Can't say enough about how much fun this bike is to ride. Ease of use and handling make it just as fun on the strait aways as it is in the curves.
